Abstract

This experiment was conducted to evaluate the effect of carbohydrate level and sources on the growth performance of black tiger shrimp Penaeus monodon juvenile. Four shrimp diet contains isoprotein (35%) and isoenergy-protein ratio (8.2 kkcal/g protein) but different in carbohydrate level were used in this experiment. Diet A and B containing carbohydrate at the level of 34%, while diet C and D contain 40% of carbohydrate.  Diet A and diet C have similar carbohydrate source pollard and corn plus tapioca at the ratio of 1:1, where diet B and D was 2:1:1.  Shrimp with 1.5±0.1 g of average body weight were reared in aquarium at the density of 10 shrimp/aquaria and fed 4 times daily at the level of 8% of body weight. Feed consumption, total and protein digestibility, protein and lipid retention, relative growth rate, feed efficiency, survival rate and feed conversion ratio was used as evaluating parameters. The results showed that all diets  have similar  effect on total and protein digestibility, protein and lipid retention, relative growth rate, feed efficiency, and survival rate (P>0.05). It is concluded that Penaeus monodon juvenile could utilize carbohydrate until the level of 40%, and shrimp could utilize corn and tapioca as good as pollard. Pakan uji yang digunakan mengandung kadar protein (35%) dan rasio energi-protein (8,2 kkal g protein) yang sama, tetapi berbeda kadar karbohidrat. Pakan A dan B mengandung kadar karbohidrat 34%, sedangkan pakan C dan D mengandung karbohidrat 40%. Pakan A dan C mengandung kadar karbohidrat sama dengan sumber pollard, jagung  dan tapioka dengan rasio 1:1:1, sedangkan pakan B dan D dengan rasio 2:1:1. Larva dengan bobot 1,5±0,1 g dipelihara dalam akuarium selama 60 hari dengan kepadatan 10 ekor/akuarium.  larva diberi pakan sebanyak 4 kali sehari sebanyak 8% dari bobot biomassa. Parameter yang diamati adalah tingkat konsumsi pakan, kecernaan total dan protein, retensi protein, retensi lemak, pertumbuhan relatif, efisiensi pakan, kelangsungan hidup dan konversi pakan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa semua pakan perlakuan memberikan pengaruh yang sama terhadap  tingkat konsumsi pakan, kecernaan total dan protein, retensi protein, retensi lemak, pertumbuhan relatif, efisiensi pakan, konversi pakan dan kelangsungan hidup (P>0,05).  Dengan demikian disimpulkan bahwa juvenil Penaeus monodon mampu memanfaatkan karbohidrat sampai kadar 40%, dan udang mampu memanfaatkan tepung jagung dan tapioka seperti halnya pollard. Abstract

A study on the Giant Magnetoresonance (GMR) effect of NiFe/Ag/NiFe multilayers on  Ag deposition time (tAg) ranging from 1 to 3 minutes has been performed. The study was intended  to obtain the most suitable Ag deposition time to give the largest GMR ratio by using 150 G deposition field in transverse direction of anode-chathde and C substrate temperature during deposition. Several characterizations have been performed  including morphological sample cross section,  microstructure, magnetic properties of the layer, and GMR ratio in an external magnetic field  ranging from -20 up to 20 gauss. The results show that multilayers with tag = 2 minutes displays the largest GMR ratio of 54.87%. The layer has a high level of atomic structure ordering, a large grain size, the highest remanence and the smallest coercive power. The situation is close to Pool’s estimation that the GMR ratio for trilayers of approximately 50%.

Abstract

This research was aimed at revealing the degree of contribution of Attitudes about Vocational High School and learning techniques to learning achievement of SMKN 5 Batam student. and learning technique to jointly contribute to achievement. The population was all students in XII grade of Ship Electrical Engineering of SMKN 5 Batam 71 student’s with a total sampling technique, qualitative description and ex-post facto that has used the questionnaire of Likert scale models that have been tested the validity and reliability with learning achievement of National Test. The analysis showed that: Attitudes of the Vocational High School student’s contribute significantly (18,9%) is equivalent to the learning achievement. Learning technique significantly contribute’s to the (29,6%) of student’s achievement, and The attitude about Vocational High School and learning technique to jointly contribute significantly  37,6 % of the scholastic achievement. Based on these researches, it can be concluded that the attitude of Vocational High Schools and learning technique are two important factors that contribute to scholastic achievement of SMK student. Therefore, it is suggested to organize related program to these two factors to improve the scholastic achievement of SMK student.Keywords: Attitudes, Vocational Education, Learning, Learning Outcomes

Abstract

This article was written to describe the application of learning models peningakatan project based learning in motivation and learning outcomes of students of class XI TOSM I Motorcycle Technical Skills Competency SMKN I Koto XI Tarusan by the number of students by 20 people. Data were taken related to motivation is taken by using a questionnaire with the help of four observers. The intended learning outcomes of this research include the areas of cognitive, affective and psychomotor, cognitive learning outcomes were collected using field test results while the description of the field of affective and psychomotor learning gathered using observation sheets. The findings showed that (1) there is a significant increase in the motivation to learn, and (2) there is a significant increase learning outcomes after the implementation of Project Based Learning model of learning, it can be concluded that the Project Based Learning model of learning can improve motivation and learning outcomes of a series of minor improvements electrical class XI TOSM 1 automotive engineering competence Motorcycles Tarusan SMKN I Koto XI Tarusan. Keyword: Project Based Learning

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the influence of contextual learning and motivation of achievement on learning outcomes Electric Motor Repair.This study uses quantitative research methods to the type of quasi-experimental with treatment by block 2 x 2 factorial design. The research was done in class XI SMK Negeri 1 TITL Bukittinggi second semester of academic year 2012/2013. Data were collected through an assessment of student psychomotor, cognitive, and achievement motivation questionnaire. Hypotheses were analyzed with two-way Anova using SPSS 18. Results of data analysis showed that: there is a difference between the approach of contextual learning and conventional learning approaches in influencing learning outcomes MML; there is a difference between high achievement motivation and low achievement motivation in affecting learning outcomes MML; there notinteraction between learning approaches and achievement motivation in affecting learning outcomes MML. Keyword: Contextual Learning, Motivation of Achievement, Learning Outcomes

Abstract

The purpose of this study to analyze differences in performance competency Produksi Pesawat Sound System (PPSS) between  learning model Production Base Training (PBT) with a learning model  Project Work (PW) and achievement motivation. This type of research is the experiment with a 2x2 factorial design. The sample is a class X student competency skills Audio Video Engineering SMK N2 Solok TP 2012/2013. Experiments with classroom learning model PW and control classes with PBT learning model. The research data were collected through questionnaire assessment of performance and achievement motivation. Hypotheses were analyzed using t-test. Analysis of t-test using SPSS for comparison of the two models as a whole obtained t-test = 4.206 and t table = 1.999, in the group of high achievement motivated students t-test = 5.827, t table = 2.423, whereas in the group of motivated student achievement low t-count = 3.6857, t table = 2.423. From the overall analysis of the known t count > t table. Conclusion The results of the study are the average performance of students learning with the learning model PW higher PBT learning model both in the group of students have high achievement motivation and lower in the group of motivated students. Keyword:  Project Work, Production Base Training, Achievement Motivation, Performance
