Abstract

Abstract: Research of sensory profiles of traditional moist foods in Kotamadya Yogyakarta had been done. The aims of the research are determining sensory profiles of traditional moist foods in Kotamadya Yogyakarta, and finding out how much each sensory characteristic supports to preference of traditional moist foods in Kotamadya Yogyakarta. The research is done by identifying markets and supermarkets that sell traditional moist foods, interviewing sellers of traditional moist foods, selecting panelist, training panelist, testing sensory profile by 15 trained panelist, tabulating, analyzing and interpreting data. The research result  that sensory profiles of traditional moist foods and effective support of each sensory characteristic to preference of traditional moist foods in Kotamadya Yogyakarta (from higher to lower percentage), which are: apem: shape, aroma, colour, sweetness, and tenderness; bakpia: colour of kumbu; taste of kumbu, texture of kumbu, colour of outer skin, texture of outer skin,  taste of outer skin, aroma, sweetness of kumbu, and shape; geplak: sweetness, aroma, hardness, shape, taste of coconut, colour, and texture; gethuk lindri: aroma, shape, sweetness, and softness; kipo: colour of skin,  aroma, sweetness of enten-enten, chewiness, and shape; kue ku: colour of skin, texture of skin, texture of kumbu, colour of kumbu, shape, taste of kumbu, and taste of skin; and yangko: taste, colour, shape, texture, chewiness, and aroma.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to write a learning book and to develop a software of interactive media based on scientific approach to facilitate students in discovering concept, improving their mathematical thinking skill, and self-regulated learning. This is a two-year Research and Development, whereas in the first year is to write textbooks, and develop a interactive media software. The second year is to measure the validity of the entire instrument, the pre-test and post-test mathematical thinking skill, implement the software in a learning process, distribution a self-regulated learning questionnaire, implement the software in a learning process, explore the students’ perception towards this software through interviews. The sample of this research is seven grade students of junior high school in Tasikmalaya. Two schools are selected randomly. The developing of this software complies of stages: concept, design, material collecting, assembly, testing, and distribution. The validity test of all instrument used consists of consideration of two experts (a mathematician and learning-media expert); revision based on advices and input from both experts, empirical trial test, revision further if necessary. Based on the results of consideration two experts of instructional media and mathematician, test empirically, and perceptions of students that textbooks, textbook and software interactive learning media based approach to scientific, worthy implemented in the learning of mathematics students at the junior high school.

Abstract

This research aims to design and develop a character based learning Interactive Media to Facilitate Students    self-learning of Mathematics Lecture Capita Selecta in developing Mathematical Critical and CreativeThinking skills of students. This research employs developmental research for one year from two years asplanned. Research methods and its study in the first year is started by theoretical studies conducted mainlyin literature and rational considerations, and empirical studies when the trials of character-based interactivemedia is designed to explore critical and creative thinking skills of students. Result of this study can bedrawn that the designed teaching materials are already able to direct students to discover concepts relatedto materials of Algebra, Quadratic Equations and Functions, and Systems of Linear Equations, and thegiven problems can explore critical and creative thinking skills of students. Teaching materials designed tobe interactive media is ready to use to facilitate self-learning of the students. The further research isimplementing capita selecta Mathematics as lecture using character-based interactive learning media tostudents who attend the lecture in order to determine the influence of media in developing interactivelearning critical and creative thinking skills of the students.

Abstract

The objectives of this research are to design and develop character-based Interactive learning media to facilitate autonomous learning of college students in the course Capita Selecta to develop critical and creative thinking mathematical skills. Research methods and properties of the beginning of the study in the first phase of theoretical studies, mainly carried out in the literature study and consideration of the rational, empirical studies conducted when testing teaching materials and instruments interactive critical and creative thinking skills mathematically. The sample in this research is mathematics education students who take courses capita selecta math 3 group are 110 people. Data are collected to measure the ability to think critically and mathematicallycreative through a written test, while learning autonomy used to measure Questionnaire with Likert scale. The Results of the Research is that a character-based interactive learning media facilitate self-learning in the course Capita Selecta. The ability to think critically and mathematically creative of Students are adjusted at a high level qualifications. The Highest error of mathematic critical thinking made by students are at the focus indicator while the highest error of mathematic creative thinking are at the originality indicator.

Abstract

This research implements Problem Based Learning and Discovery Learning model  to analysis the increase of mathematical creative thinking skills, mistakes in the process of mathematical creative thinking, and self-efficacy of high school students  in Tasikmalaya.  The research  method  used is descriptive,  data collection  techniques  through  creative thinking ability tests and questionnaires mathematics self-efficacy. The instruments were previously assessed by experts in mathematics education. Based on the data analysis, it is concluded that the mathematical creative thinking abilities of students through Problem Based Learning is increasing compared to the mathematical creative thinking abilities of students through Discovery Learning. Mistakes students of mathematical creative thinking processes in Problem Based Learning, generally on flexibility and originality indicators. While at Discovery Learning, mistakes students of mathematical creative thinking processes is generally on sensitivity, flexibility and originality indicators. Flexibility is solving the problem with a variety of different ways, but the result is the same, and originality is to solve the problem in its own way does not use a standard formula. Sensitivity is the ability to detect problems. Self-efficacy of students in Problem Based Learning and Discovery Learning are both at high qualifications.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan koneksi matematis ditinjau dari gaya berpikir peserta didik dalam mengerjakan soal pada materi bangun ruang sisi datar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknikpengumpulan data yang digunakan dengan melaksanakan tes gaya berpikir dan tes kemampuan koneksi matematis. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa instrumen tes gaya berpikir yang dirancang oleh Park John Lee Tellier dan instrumen tes kemampuan koneksi matematis. Penelitian dilaksanakan di VIII A MTs Negeri 6 Ciamis, dengan 8 orang peserta didik yaitu dua peserta didik dari masing-masing gaya berpikir secara purposive sampling berdasarkan jawaban peserta didik yang paling benar dan dapat memberikan informasi secara lisan mengenai hasil pekerjaannya. Analisis data pada penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tahap-tahap yang meliputi reduksi data, pengujian data, dan menarik kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peserta didik dengan gaya berpikir sekuensial konkret dan acak konkret memenuhi indikatormengenali dan menggunakan hubungan di antara ide-ide matematika, memahami bagaimana ide matematika saling berhubungan dan saling membangun untuk menghasilkan keseluruhan yang koheren, serta mengenali dan menerapkan matematika dalam konteks di luar matematika. Sedangkan peserta didik dengan gaya berpikir sekuensial abstrak hanya memenuhi indikator mengenali dan menggunakan hubungan di antara ide-ide matematika, serta mengenali dan menerapkan matematika dalam konteks di luar matematika. Peserta didik dengan gaya berpikir acak abstrak hanya memenuhi indikator mengenali dan menggunakan hubungan di antara ide-ide matematika, serta memahami bagaimana ide matematika saling berhubungan dansaling membangun untuk menghasilkan keutuhan yang koheren.

Abstract

This study aims to compare mathematical problem-solving ability among learners who learned with problem-based learning model (PBL) and problem-solving. The study also aims to determine the thinking process of learners in the problem-solving. The study was using an experimental method. The population was all students of class VIII SMP Negeri 13 Kota Tasikmalaya. The samples were selected two classes by cluster random sampling, first class (VIII-E) was learned by using PBL model and second class (VIII-J) was learned by using problem-solving. Data collection techniques use mathematical problem-solving tests. The data were analyzed by t-test of two difference means. The study concludes that the mathematical problem-solving ability of learners who learned with PBL model better than that learned with a problem-solving model. The conceptual thinking process in the PBL class was owned by high-ability learners, while in the problem-solving class was owned by high and middle-ability learners. The semi-conceptual thinking process of the PBL class was owned by moderate and low-ability learners, while the problem-solving class was owned by moderate-ability learners. Computational thinking processes in PBL classes and problem-solving one were owned by low-ability learners.Keywords: problem-based learning (PBL), problem-solving, mathematical problem-solving ability, thinking process.

Abstract

Inclusive education is a government program that is realized through an inclusive school program to help students with disabilities so that their formal education can be well served. The implementation of inclusive education in Tasikmalaya City and District is less encouraging, various plans for implementing inclusive education need to be taken seriously. The purpose of this study: studying, analyzing, and describing the learning difficulties of dyscalculia students; discuss the challenges or learning process in inclusive schools for dyscalculia students. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative and think aloud was carried out at 4 inclusive schools in Tasikmalaya namely SDN Manggungjaya 1, SDN Sukasirna, SDN Cibungkul and SDN Tanjung 2. The subjects in this study were principals, class teachers in inclusive schools, and dyscalculia students in grades 4, 5 and 6 of each. The methods used in this study were descriptive qualitative and think aloud. The instruments used the researchers themselves and questionnaires. The data were collected using observation, exploration, and interviews, all data obtained analyzed then described narratively. Based on the results of data analysis concluded: dyscalculia students in grades 4, 5 and 6 still have difficulty in reading and counting operations in numbers up to 50, do not understand negative integers. Just learning to study is still very difficult to condition, teachers who often teach dyscalculia students with their own learning styles. Learning is still held by the class teacher when the teacher comes from the Special Needs School. Ideally, at least two students with disabilities, provided by teachers who have a special education background.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) ketuntasan belajar peserta didik pada kemampuan berpikir lateral matematik melalui model Pembelajaran Osborn, dan (2) kesalahan peserta didik dalam menyelesaikan soal kemampuan berpikir lateral matematik ditinjau dari gaya belajar. Penelitian ini menggunakan mixed method dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa tes kemampuan berpikir lateral matematik dan angket gaya belajar peserta didik. Populasi penelitian yaitu peserta didik kelas VIII salah satu SMP Negeri di Kota Tasikmalaya dengan sampel sebanyak satu kelas. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji proporsi satu pihak dan analisis kualitatif dari hasil jawaban soal tes kemampuan berpikir lateral matematik peserta didik. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa: (1) Kemampuan berpikir lateral matematik peserta didik melalui model Pembelajaran Osborn mencapai ketuntasan belajar, dan (2) Kesalahan peserta didik dalam menyelesaikan soal kemampuan berpikir lateral yaitu: kesalahan fakta, kesalahan konsep, kesalahan prinsip, dan kesalahan prosedural.
