Abstract

Program eliminasi Filariasis limfatik tidak akan berhasil tanpa adanya partisipasi masyarakat dan kerjasama lintas program maupun sektoral. lnformasi mengenai Pengetahuan, Sikap dan Praktek (PSP) masyarakat sangat penting untuk meningkatkan peran serta masyarakat dalam program eliminasi Filariasis. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kecamatan Tirto yang telah melakukan pengobatan massal mulai tahun 2003. Populasi penelitian adalah anggota TPE (Tenaga Pelaksana Eliminasi) yang ada di Kecamatan Tirto dengan jumlah sampel 100 responden kontrol dan 100 responden intervensi. lntervensi dilakukan dengan penyuluhan berupa ceramah (3 kali) dan pembagian buku saku filariasis.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penyuluhan dapat meningkatkan PSP responden tentang filariasis yaitu berkisar antara 1,0% sampai 16%, sedangkan cakupan pengobatan terjadi peningkatan sebesar 9, 9 %.Penyuluhan dengan dibantu media elektronik (pemutaran film) lebih disukai responden dan berhasil meningkatkan PSP masyarakat. Guna penerapan di daerah lain diperlukan tenaga yang secara rutin dapat melakukan kegiatan tersebut. Penyuluhan harus diintegrasikan secara terpadu dengan strategi promosi melalui advokasi, bina suasana dan gerakan masyarakat. Kata kunci : PSP, filariasis, limfatik

Abstract

ABSTRACTData obtained from Central Java Health Province Agency showed there were six districts of cities withleptospirosis problem. Leptospirosis cases in Klaten District was third sequence after Semarang City and Demak District.Research that had been done in Klaten focused in Jogonalan Sub district. In 2009-2010 leptospirosis cases found in outsideJogonalan. The aims of this research was to identifying of rats and suncus in leptospirosis area at Klaten district.This research was an observasional research using ecology study. Rat trapped and had been done in this researchfollowed by rat identification.Data were analyzed by simple statistic include tabulating, quantifying, multiplicationpresented in table or graph.Result of this research showed that from three study locations, trap success Kalikotes was showed highest (11,5%),while Wonosari and Gantiwarno was respectively 6,3% and 4,5%. Shanon Wiener Diversity Index was low(<1).Rattus tanezumi was the dominant species.Key words : rat ,suncus, leptospirosis, Klaten

Abstract

The control program of dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) in Indonesia is still a problem due tothe incomplete integrated handling. Sterile insect technique (SIT) for Aedes aegypti as DHFvector was considered as a potential strategy for controling the DHF. A preliminary survey wascarried out to to determine the characteristic of A. aegypti population in the study site before theimplementation of SIT. The implementation of radiation based-SIT was carried out in Krandeganand Kutabanjar Villages of Banjarnegara Regency, Central Java which involved 99 houses. Onehundred gamma rays irradiated male mosquitoes were released to each house up to five times.The eggs, larvae and adult mosquitoes were collected using ovitrap and weekly observed. Theinitial population density of A. aegipty in the studied area was obtained to be 6 mosquitoes perhouse with the mean index of house was 15.86 % and the mean sterility of sterilizedmosquitoes was 79.16 %. The SIT effectively reduced A. aegipty population after the fifthrelease of irradiated mosquitoes into the houses. It can be assumed that the SIT was effectivein controlling DHF vector in the studied area, nevertheles, it will be more effective if it iscombined with other handling techniques.

Abstract

Abstract. Pabean villages is a filariasis endemic areas caused by Whuchereria bancrofti parasite with incidence rate is 3.4% on year 2007. To determine biting activity of Culex quinquefasciatus mosquitoes that been confirmed as filariasis s vector, it been conducted a entomological survey as long as 5 months (from August up to December) every 2 weeks that aimed to know mosquito s peak biting and res ting density in each hour catching. A survey was conducted using all night landing collection method from 18. OO am up to 06. OO pm. In each hour survey; indoor and outdoor landing mosquitoes and also res ting mosquitoes on inside wall and cattle stable, will be caught using aspirator and put onto paper cup. A study result was showed that indoor peak of Cx. quinquefasciatus mosquitoes biting densi¬ty is 20.00, 22.00 and 23.00 0 clock, whereas the outside peak one is 21.00, 24.00 and 02.00 oclock; peak of res ting on inside wall is 18. Abstract

Abstract: Leptospirosis is an acute febrile illness injecting human and animal (zoonosis) and caused by the bacteria leptospira. Semarang city is one endemic leptospirosis with inci­dence rate in 2009 of 13,27/100.000 and case fa ta lity rate 3,5%. This study aimed to know the epidemiological characteristics of leptospirosis cases and the relationship of environ­mental conditions of settlement with the incidence of leptospirosis The study was observational with cross sectional design. Data population are the people who visit the health center with clinical symptoms of leptospirosis and secondary data from the Health Department of Semarang. Sample are people who visited the health center with clinical symptoms ofleptospirosis (mainly:fever (body temperature> 37°C) or fever accom­panied by headache, muscle aches, conjunctivitis and rash). Data environmental conditions of settlement had beed observed and interviewed using, and analysed bivariat with chi square. The results show characteristics of respondents most of the age group 10 -19 years (38.1%), male sex (56.2%), education level did not complete primary school (30.5%) Distri­bution cases of leptospirosis attack more men (55%) with mortality rate (CFR = 3.6), and in the age group 0-19 years that is as much as 32.5% (CFR=14.29)Environmental conditions associated with the occurrence of leptospirosis include kitchen wall not a wall, no plavond, open dumping and dirty house. To prevention transmission of leptospirosis, among others, hygiene sanitasi, rat proofing so it does not make to nest rat.Key words: environment, endemic, leptospirosis, individual characteristics, Semarang

Abstract

Leptospirosis is one of rodent borne neglected diseases, but health problem in day. Transmision of Leptospirosis occurs by contact with water or humid soil contaminated with urine from rodent infected with Leptospira. The aim of this research was to know epidemiology Leptospirosis in Semarang City and Demak District, in April-November 2008. The design of this research was cross sectional. The activity included Leptospirosis diagnosis with Rapid Diagostic Test (Leptotek Dri Dot) and rat trappings. Data were analysed descriptively by using tables, graphics and maps. The result showed that in 2008, Leptospirosis incidence in the both areas was higher compared to the previous year. The Leptospirosis cases tended to increase in the rainy season. In Semarang City, Leptospirosis cases were mostly found in the age group of 0-19 years (44,1%) and 51% of the total cases were female. In Demak District, the cases were mostly found in the age group of 40-49 years (25,7%) and 75,7% from the total cases were male. The spesies rats found in this research were Rattus tanezumi, R.norvegicus, B.indica, Mus musculus, R.exculan and Suncus murinus. Kidney test of the rats caught in Semarang City showed Rattus tanezumi, R.norwegicus, B.indica, and R.exculan were infected with Leptospira sp.

Abstract

Various vector control efforts have been done but dengue hemorrhagic fever still tends to increase. Lethal Ovitrap (LO) was modification from ovitrap where in lethal ovitrap installed ovistrip contain insecticide. The aim of this research was to determine efficacy Cypermethrin and determine the residual effect with lethal ovitrap method on Ae. aegypti at laboratory. This research was laboratory experiment with postest only control group design. Research was done in August-December 2009 at Loka Litbang P2B2 Banjarnegara laboratory. Activity that had been done i.e: colonization of A e. aegypti, making ovitrap, making ovistrip with active ingredient Cypermethrin, then pretest had been done and determine the residual effect. Efficacy analysis used WHO criteria, i.e death of the mosquito >70% after raising for 24 hour.

Abstract

Filariasis is one of the communicable disease which is caused by infestation of Filaria wonn. The disease is transmitted by various mosquitoes. Pabean village was one of the endemic area in Pekalongan city with lymphatic filariasis problem (microfilariae rate >1 %). The research aimed to get species and dominan potencial vector filariasis and breeding place.The reseach was an observational study which used cross sectional design. The activity were mosquitoes, larve dipper and pupa collection from August until December 2007. The mosquitoes collection was done twice a week by landing collection and light trap with dry ice.The result showed that the species culex mosquitoes found 19.229, consisted of four species that is Cx.quinquefasciatus, Cx.bitaeniorhynchus, Cx. tritaeniorhynchus, and Cx. vishnui. Mosquito of Cx.quinquefasciatus most dominantly found at all of way of arrest and known as mosquito of vector potential of lymphatic filariasis in Pabean village. Especial breeding place of Cx.quinquefasciatus is water polution and very bad sanitation. The larval density was more than 100 of dipper.

Untuk mengantisipasi terjadinya penularan yang lebih luas, Loka litbang P2B2 Banjarnegara beserta tim dari DKK Kebumen, Puskesmas Rowokele telah melakukan survei entomologi sebagai dasar upaya pengendalian vektor yang akan dilakukan di Desa Wagirpandan. Sehingga diharapkan kegiatan tersebut tepat sasaran dan waktu sebagai upaya memutuskan rantai penularannya.

Abstract

Berdasarkan data mengenai tingginya kasus malaria di desa Kalikarung, maka perlu diketahui fauna nyamuk Anopheles dan yang berperan dalam penularan malaria. Dalam laporan ini disajikan hasil penelitian berbagai spesies nyamuk Anopheles yang ditemukan di desa Kalikarung Kecamatan Kalibawang.Berdasarkan hasil penangkapan nyamuk dewasa di desa Kalikarung, ditemukan 6 jenis spesies nyamuk Anopheles yaitu An. aconitus, An. maculatus, An. barbirostris, An. vagus, An. annularis dan An. kochi.An. maculatus ditemukan pada penangkapan dengan umpan orang di luar rumah dan istirahat di sekitar kandang ternak, sedangkan An. kochi hanya ditemukan di sekitar kandang ternak. Sementara spesies lainnya ditemukan pada semua lokasi penangkapan.
