Abstract

Penelitian mengenai pemisahan fase air-kerosen yang melewati T-junction telah dilakukan. Hasil pemisahan fase akan diamati dengan mengubah sudut kemiringan side arm (branch) dimulai dari posisi vertical keatas 90o, ,60o dan 30o dengan radius belokan 15 mm.Untuk mengamati pengaruh sudut kemiringan side arm terhadap pemisahan fase yang dihasilkan maka dibuatlah seksi uji T-junction dengan diameter pipa horisontal 36 mm, diameter side arm 26 mm (rasio diameter 0,7), bahan pipa adalah acrylic dengan variasi water cut 49% - 70%, kecepatan superfisial air 0,20 ~ 0,39 m/s, kecepatan superfisial kerosene 0,15 ~ 0,25 m/s pada tiga variasi hambatan downstream. Berdasarkan data hasil eksperimen dan visualisasi aliran pada seksi uji, hasil pemisahan fase terbaik dicapai pada sudut kemiringan branch 90o dengan tekanan downstream 107843,5 Pa, watercut 49% yang menghasilkan fraksi kerosene di branch Fk = 94,7% dan fraksi air di branch Fw = 3,4% dengan efisiensi pemisahan fase sebesar η = 95%. Kondisi terbaik diatas diperoleh pada Jw = 0,20 m/s, Jk = 0,22 m/s pada pola aliran Three Layer (3L-2).

Abstract

Menjadi perawat lansia di panti wreda membutuhkan komitmen kerja yang tinggi. Selain sifat pekerjaan yang monoton dan penghasilan yang tergolong kecil, kedudukan pekerjaan ini di mata masyarakat juga kurang bergengsi. Meskipun demikian, ada segelintir orang yang selama bertahun-tahun memilih bertahan pada profesi ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap komitmen kerja perawat panti wreda. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah fenomenologi. Data didapatkan melalui wawancara terhadap 3 perawat yang bekerja di panti wreda minimal 8 tahun. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya sejumlah faktor yang memengaruhi komitmen kerja perawat panti wreda, yang dibedakan menjadi faktor internal dan eksternal. Faktor internal antara lain informan memiliki minat pengabdian atau pelayanan sosial, memiliki sikap positif terhadap pekerjaannya dan memiliki niat ibadah sehingga pendapatan financial bukan hal yang paling utama. Faktor eksternal yang berpengaruh adalah dukungan keluarga.Kata kunci: komitmen kerja, perawat, panti wreda

Abstract

Abstract Violations of the students is often become  problems at school. As truant, fighting, smoking and others. In addition to teachers, parents also have an important role to contribute and supervise their children at school. Student monitoring system is important to help parents supervise their children  at school. Both in value, attendance, payment data and the violation of the student in school. To facilitate parents in accessing this system, the system was built based on J2ME. J2ME is a development environment designed to put the Java software on mobile  devices. The system can run on mobile devices that support Java applications. Server is built using web-based web service. Web services allow to exchange the use of existing functions so can use the functions from one application to make an application to  another on a different network. That way, parents can get information at any time without limited by the number of characters.  Keywords: Student Monitoring, J2ME, Web Service Abstrak Pelanggaran siswa sering menjadi masalah di sekolah. Seperti membolos, berkelahi, merokok dan lain-lain. Selain guru, orang tua juga punya peran penting untuk turut serta mengawasi anaknya di sekolah. Sistem monitoring siswa membantu orang tua mengawasi anaknya di sekolah baik dalam  nilai, absensi, data pembayaran maupun pelanggaran yang dilakukan siswa di sekolah. Untuk memudahkan orang tua dalam mengakses sistem ini, maka dibangun sistem yang berbasis J2ME.  J2ME adalah lingkungan pengembangan yang didesain untuk meletakkan perangkat lunak Java pada perangkat selular. Sistem ini dapat berjalan pada perangkat selular yang mendukung aplikasi java. Server dibangun berbasis web dengan memanfaatkan web service.  Web service  memungkinkan  untuk melakukan  pertukaran pemakaian  fungsi-fungsi  yang ada sehingga bisa memakai fungsi dari aplikasi yang satu untuk membuat suatu aplikasi yang lain pada jaringan yang berbeda. Dengan begitu maka orang tua dapat memperoleh informasi kapanpun tanpa terbatas oleh jumlah karakter.  Kata Kunci: Monitoring Siswa, J2ME, Web Service

Abstract

Creative endevour of silver in Jagalan Village started since the 16th century and 17th and reached the heyday in 1910 and 1970-1980. But after Monetary Crisis (1998), Bali Bombing (2002) and Earthquake (2006) the number of silversmiths were declining continously, making artisans reluctant to share their skills possessed to future generations. This condition brought up response and strategies of youth in applying the concept of 3T (talent, technology and tolerance) toward the sustainability of creative business of Kotagede silver handicraft in Jagalan Village. This research uses qualitative research method and descriptive analysis. Research findings in this research is youth as the actor to potential and capacity as agent of change, starting from motivation, the process, space to the implementation of through movement conservation and efforts to regenerate silversmiths mapping and quarrying of tourism village’s, make video tourism promotion and marketing couple ring to Hongkong, then hold workshop design for makers, Jagalan Festival and a healthy walking. Secondly, movement conservation as an effort to regeneration in which implemented through the application of 3T concept collaboratively. Talents is pertaining to family background, social environment and youngster’s education; tolerance is openness in interaction toward various parties and technology facility for marketing and publication. Variety of initiatives and the ideas are implemented into 6 ( six ), education by providing the space for discussion, marketing for traditional foods and of silver craft products , publication in order to provide a chance silversmiths in accessing the market, innovation make craftsman having the bargaining power as artisan (expert), maintenance and movement to be preservation of cultural heritage ancestors. One of the output of these efforts is Jagalan Tlisih Kampung.

Abstract

Penelitian  Hukum  ini  bertujuan  untuk  mengkaji  dan  menjawab permasalahan  mengenai  alasan  perlawanan  saksi  terhadap  Penetapan  Hakim Pengadilan  Negeri  Bangil  dan  bagaimana  implikasi  jika  perlawanan  tersebut diterima oleh Pengadilan Tinggi terhadap status penahanan saksi.Penelitian  ini  merupakan  penelitian  hukum  normatif  yang  bersifat preskriptif  dengan  menggunakan  pendekatan  kasus.  Jenis  bahan  hukum  yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah literatur dengan sumber data  sekunder yang mencakup bahan hukum primer, bahan hukum sekunder, dan  bahan hukum tersier. Bahan  hukum  yang  diperoleh  kemudian  dipelajari  dan  dianalisis  lebih  lanjut sesuai dengan tujuan dan permasalahan penelitian.Berdasarkan  penelitian  diperoleh  hasil  bahwa  alasan  pengajuan perlawanan  saksi  terhadap  Penetapan  Penetapan  Hakim  Pengadilan  Negeri Bangil  sudah  sesuai  dengan  ketentuan  dalam  Kitab  Undang-undang  Hukum Acara  Pidana  (KUHAP)  dan  implikasi  atas  diterimanya  perlawanan  saksi  oleh Pengadilan  Tinggi  terhadap  status  penahanan  saksi  adalah  penahanan  yang dilakukan  oleh  Hakim  Pengadilan  Negeri  Bangil  menjadi  tidak  sah  dan  saksi harus dibebaskan dari penahanan kota.

Abstract

There are many ways that could be done to introduce unique culture of a country to the international world; one of them is through translation works.  This can be seen through Japanese literary works, which are translated into other languages.  Botchan is one of the best literary works from Natsume Soseki that was translated into several languages, including Indonesian language, with the title of the translation Botchan Si Anak Bengal by Jonjon Johana. This novel tells the story about the life of Botchan, a teacher, who faces several conflicts. In this novel, there are many cultural terms so that when they are translated, they would trigger some difficulties because some of the terms still do not have equivalences in target language.  The material cultural terms include foods, clothes, houses and their parts, places, and means of transportation. They can be found in the words geisha, kimono, soba, and so on. This research analyzed the equivalence in the translation with the informant as the benchmark to know whether the message in the target text is equivalent with the source text. This method is based on dynamic equivalence concept by Nida and Taber (1974:12). Based on the informant, the methods and techniques used by translator in maintaining the equivalence of message were analyzed. The used theory was the translation methods for cultural terms by Newmark (1988) and translation techniques by Catford (1965) and Hoed (2006).The research showed that the cultural terms were not easy to translate since they were related to the context of culture in the source language. It can be seen from the existing translation data showing two characteristics of equivalent translation that can be achieved through several methods, the understanding of language and culture of source language and target language; the use of suitable translation procedure and technique (transference, cultural equivalence, descriptive translation, transposition, modulation, additional explanation, and standard translation); and the right choice of word based on the intention of the author of novel.

Abstract

ABSTRACKBackground: Heat cured-type acrylic resin is the most widely used as denture base. denture base that is less clean may result in the accumulation of microorganisms. The chemical denture cleanser solution such as alkaline peroxide and 75% celery extract are able to clean and inhibits the growth of fungi and bacteria. The disadvantage of acrylic resin is water absorbing includes denture cleanser solution that may result in color change of resin. Purpose: The study is aim at measuring the color change differences of heat cured-type acrylic resin in immersion of alkaline peroxide solution and 75% celery extract (Apium graveolens L.) as denture cleanser for 5 days and 15 days. Method: The study was a true experimental research with control group design pre-test and post-test, using sample of 2mm thickness and 15mm diameters based on ADA specification no 17. Total samples were 36, divided into 6 treatment groups that is immersed in alkalin peroxide solution, 75% celery extract and aquadest for 5 and 15 days. The color change was measured using tools spectrometer,101 photo detector and microvolt digital. The statistical test was using One-way ANOVA and Post Hoc Bonferroni with <0.05 significance. Result: There is significance differences of color change acrylic resin in immersion of alkaline peroxide solution and 75% celery extract for 5 days and 15 days. Mean value of color change alkalin peroxide solution (0,48mv), aquadest (0,33mv) and celery extract 75% (1,36mv) for 5 days, alkaline peroxide solution (0,50mv), aquadest (0,39mv) and 75% celery extract (1,00mv) for 15 days. Conclusion: The immersion in 75% celery extract (Apium graveolens L.) 5 days and 15 days had greater value in color change than alkaline peroxide solution.Keywords: Heat cured type Acrylic resin, Alkaline peroxide, 75% celery extract (Apium graveolens L), Color Change.

Abstract

Probabilistic design began more realistic solution compare to the deterministic (conventional) design as it can describe and accommodate of soil variability.  Althought the old approach is widely used, it is confirmed, that almost all natural soils are spatially variable in their properties and rarely homogenous.  This paper focuses on the analysis and design of bored pile foundation on the project of  Solo Quest Hotel based on the probabilistic theory.  The research begins with a certain pre-liminary analysis to prepare the probabilistic analysis of bored pile foundatiaon design, by characterizing the cohesion (cu) from convertion of N value on three SPTs data taken from the site.  It involves an extensive analysis to perform the best-fit distribution of pointwise variability of cohesion (cu) using computer program written in MATLAB.  The next step is deriving the point statistics (i.e. mean, standard deviation, and coefficient of variation) across the site.  Finally, a certain monte carlo analysis using Crystal Ball computer program is carried out to design the bored pile foundation by inputing all data taken from MATLAB analysis.  The bored pile installed in 12 m depth and the diameters of bored pile 0,6 m respectively.  The  bored pile experiences 43.354,455 kN vertical load.  The results show that there is no objection to hypothesis of normality in the Chi-Square analysis.  Compare to the deterministic analysis, the probabilistic design needs more bored pile to resist the vertical load in a safety factor 2,5 and confident limit 95%.  Furtheremore, the higher variation of  cu data the larger number of bored pile is desired.

Abstract

Background: Bulk fill typed composite resin can be applied at once into the tooth cavity ofapproximately 4 mm. The surface hardness of composite resin can be affected by temperature. Variationtemperature in oral cavity due to the consumption of cold and hot food or beverages. Thermocycling tests areused to simulate aging of restorative materials in oral cavity by exposing material to repeated cycles of cold(4oC) and hot(60°C) temperatures. Purpose: To analyze thermocycling test effect with 1500 and 3000 cycles to thesurface hardness value bulk fill composite resin. Methods: This study is true experimental post test only withcontrol group design. This study used 27 samples of bulk fill composite resin divided into 3 groups, first group iscontrol group that did not do thermocycling test, second group is group of thermocycling 1500 cycles and thirdgroup of thermocycling 3000 cycles. Results: Mean value of composite resin surface hardness control group46.529 ± 1.331 MPa, group thermocycling 1500 cycles 44.100 ± 1.039 MPa, and group thermocycling 3000cycles 42.251 ± 1.470 MPa. The data were tested using One Way ANOVA and post Hoc Bonferroni with p<0.05, there were significant differences in all treatment group. Conclusion: Thermocycling test with 1500 and3000 cycles (equal with clinically used 6 month and 1 year) in resin composites may decrease surface hardnessvalue
