Abstract

ABSTRACTThe basic techniques of volleyball used to use muscular group in our body, especially the leg’s muscles that is facilitating the springboard movement. Explosive power is the ability of muscles to exert maximum force in a very quick time. Leg muscle explosive power is one of the essential components required in the sport of volleyball particular in the motion of smash, passing and blocking hat needs to be improved by training plyometrics. The training that were conducted during this research are the plyometric depth jump and plyometric box jump training using the principle of progressive load with 3 times frequencies a week within 6 weeks. The aim of this study is to compare the explosive power of training leg muscle. This study use a randomized experimental design with pre test and post test group design for six weeks with 3 times frequencies a week. The sample’s numbers is 32 participants that was divided into two groups. The first group was given training in plyometrics depth jump and the second group was given training plyometrics box jump. The explosive power of leg muscle is measured by using a jump DF which measured before and after training for each groups. The result of this research is shown before training in group I is 42.25 ± 3.92 cm and 51.81 ± 4.41cm after training (p <0.05). While, in group II the mean shows 40.25 ± 5.14 cm before training and 45.25 ± 5.07 cm after training (p <0.05). Training in group I can increase explosive power leg muscle than group II (p <0.05). Based on the result, it is concluded that the plyometric depth jump training is more better than the plyometric box jump training in increasing explosive power leg muscle for the students of volley ball extracurricular at SMK Negeri 1 Petang.Keywords: plyometrics depth jump training and box jump, explosive power leg muscle, sports volleyball.

Abstract

Demands towards the increase of high profits and the safety of the agricultural product have made the use of pesticide unavoidable. Regulation and government effort to prevent farmers from the dangerous use of pesticide has long been implemented but the fact is that until nowadays the use of the pesticide by farmers is far from safety standard. Both the effect of acute and chronic pesticide intoxication can create nervous system disorder and even death. Most users do not have enough knowledge about the danger of the pesticide and safety work procedure. In order to increase the quality of the farmers’ health and to prevent them from the effect of acute intoxication and long term use of pesticide effect, it is necessary to develop strategies to anticipate the effect of pesticide through Total Ergonomic Approach. This approach (TEA) includes SHIP approaches (Systemic, Holistic, Interdisciplinary and Participatory) and Appropriate Technology assessment in design.Based on the anticipating strategies towards the effect of pesticide intoxication on the farmers it is hoped that in the future the use of pesticide can fulfill safety standard and increase the life quality of farmers and community in general.

Abstract

Penting untuk dilakukan penelitian mengenai gangguan cemas pada mahasiswakedokteran karena tingginya tingkat stres mahasiswa terutama pada tahun pertamaperkuliahan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui prevalensi dan perbedaanskor gangguan cemas pada mahasiswa semester I dan VII serta untuk mengetahuiperbedaan skor gangguan cemas antara mahasiswa laki-laki dan perempuan di FakultasKedokteran Universitas Udayana. Desain penelitian ini adalah cross sectional analitik.Pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara random sampling. Sampel mengisi identitas,kuesioner L-MMPI, kuesioner Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HARS). Kemudiandihitung prevalensi gangguan cemas tiap kelompok serta data dianalisis menggunakanuji t-independen. Terdapat 15 orang (25,0%)mahasiswa semester I dan 7 orang (11,7%)mahasiswa semester VII yang mengalami gangguan cemas. Dari hasil uji t-independenantara skor gangguan cemas mahasiswa semester I dan VII diperoleh nilai p = 0,001(<0,05). Sedangkan diperoleh p = 0,080 antara mahasiswa laki-laki dan perempuanpada semester I dan p = 0,744 antara mahasiswa laki-laki dan perempuan pada semesterVII. Prevalensi gangguan cemas pada mahasiswa semester I yaitu 25,0% sedangkan11,7% pada mahasiswa semester VII. Terdapat perbedaan bermakna antara skorgangguan cemas mahasiswa semester I dan VII. Tidak ditemukan perbedaan bermaknaskor gangguan cemas antara laki-laki dan perempuan.

Abstract

Nyeri punggung bawah merupakan masalah kesehatan yang umum terjadi, bahkan sering diabaikan sehingga penderita mengalami ketidakmampuan secara fungsional terhadap aktivitas sehari-hari. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pemberian Pilates Exercise dan McKenzie Exercise terhadap penurunan skor disability index pada penderita Hernia Nukleus Pulposus dan mengetahui terapi yang mana di antara Pilates Exercise dan McKenzie Execise yang lebih efektif terhadap penurunan skor disability index pada penderita Hernia Nukleus Pulposus. Penelitian ini merupakan experimental dengan rancangan randomized pre test and post test group design. Sampel penelitian ditentukan secara random sampling. Sampel dibagi menjadi dua kelompok yang masing- masing kelompok terdiri dari 13 orang. Kelompok 1 diberikan Pilates Exercise Kelompok 2 diberikan McKenzie Exercise. Penurunan skor disability index diukur dengan menggunakan Oswestry Low Back Pain Disability Index. Intervensi dilakukan selama 1 bulan, dimana subyek penelitian menjalani pilates Exercise dan McKenzie Exercise sebanyak 6 kali dengan frekuensi 2 kali seminggu. Berdasarkan uji t- berpasangan menunjukan bahwa pemberian Pilates Exercise dapat menurununkan skor disability index pada penderita Hernia Nukleus Pulposus dengan nilai p = 0,001 (p<0,05) dan McKenzie Exercise dapat menurunkan skor pada penderita Hernia Nukleus Pulposus dengan nilai p = 0,001 (p<0,05). Pada uji Independent sampel t-test diperoleh hasil skor disability index sesudah intervensi pada kedua kelompok didapatkan nilai p = 0,698 (p>0,05). Hal ini menggambarkan bahwa tidak ada perbedaan yang bermakna antara pemberian Pilates Exercise dan Mc.Kenzie Exercise terhadap penurunan skor disability index pada penderita Hernia Nukleus Pulposus.

Abstract

Jumlah perokok aktif di Indonesia semakin meningkat. Perokok aktif mempunyai resiko atau pemicu timbulnya keluhan subjektif saluran pernapasan dan gangguan ventilasi pada paru. Pada perokok aktif juga akan mengalami penurunan nilai rata-rata Arus Puncak Ekspirasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan adanya perbedaan Arus Puncak Ekspirasi pada intervensi Pursed Lip Breathing  dan intervensi Diaphragmatic Breathing. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental dengan rancangan randomized pre and post test group design. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling yang dibagi menjadi dua kelompok perlakuan dengan masing-masing kelompok 17 sampel secara random. Kelompok satu diberikan Pursed Lip Breathing kelompok dua diberikan Diaphragmatic Breathing. Intervensi ini dilakukan selama 2 bulan.  Berdasarkan uji t-berpasangan menunjukkan bahwa pemberian Pursed Lip Breathing dapat meningkatkan Arus Puncak Ekspirasi dengan presentase peningkatan Arus Puncak Ekspirasi 47% dan nilai p = 0.001 (p<0.05) dan Dipahragmatic Breathing dapat meningkatkan Arus Puncak Ekspirasi dengan presentase peningkatan Arus Puncak Ekspirasi 58% dan nilai p = 0.001 (p<0.05). Pada uji t-tidak berpasangan terhadap Arus Puncak Ekspirasi pada kedua kelompok setelah intervensi. diperoleh hasil yang tidak bermakna dengan nilai p = 0.726, p > 0.05. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa Diaphragmatic Breathing dan Pursed Lip Breathing dalam penelitian ini memberikan efek yang sama dalam meningkatan Arus Puncak Ekspirasi pada perokok aktif.

Abstract

The speed is one of the biomotoriccomponents which dominantin the run race100 meters. 100 meters run is part of athletics which has a short duration, highintensity and anaerobic systems develop. The purpose of this study was todetermine the increasing of 100 meter run speed, therefore this research is anexperimental study was conducted in SMK N Kakulukmesak Belu regency NTT,for 6 months from March - May 2014, with the frequency of exercise 3 times aweek. This study uses two types of training, and were divided into two treatmentgroups, ie group one is the training of interval run 4 x 50 meter on the sandybeach 4 reps 3 sets andgroup twois the interval run 4 x 50 meter in the yard 4 reps3 sets, implemented in the afternoon at 15.30 to 17.00 pm in the yard of SMK NKakulukmesak and Atapupu Beach, Belu regency - NTT. Sample was 20 people,chosen simple randomly from a population of 53 people who meet therequirements of inclusion and exclusion. The number of samples for each group is10 people. The speed of 100 meter run was measured using stopwatch, while the100-meter dash speed data before and after training in both groups, were testedwith parametric statistical analysis. With a paired t-test of mean difference testsobtained the 100 meter dash speed after training on each group with p <0.05. Themean speed of 100 meters before training in the group one is 16.06 seconds and13.01 seconds after training. Means increased speed of 3:05 seconds, or at =19:02%. While the average running speed of 100 meters in group two beforetraining is 16.02 seconds and after training is 13.95 seconds, the increasing ofspeed is 12.91%. This shows that the average speed of 100 meters before and aftertraining on each group there is a significant difference, with value p<0.05. Thusthe training of group 1is interval run 4 x 50 meter on the sandy beach and intervaltraining run 4 x 50 meters in the yard, after training is equal to increase the speedof the 100 meterin 10th grade student of SMK N Kakulukmesak. However, in theanalysis of data on the paired sample test, the speed training of group oneon thesandy beach is faster = 0.94 seconds than thetraining of group twoin the yard.

Abstract

The swimmer in Indonesia is still very difficult to compete with world athletes who constantly surge achievement. One reason is the lack of understanding of proper recovery methods or effective in supporting achievement that is slow swimming active recovery method. This study aims to prove the differences of effectiveness of slow frontcrawl swimming recovery with a slow breaststroke swimming recovery to accelerate pulse rate recovery of male Bayusuta swimmer group in Denpasar. Experimental research was done with the method of randomized pre and post test control group design, conducted on February 2014. Samples were selected by simple random sampling . The two intervention groups with each group of 17 samples that randomized selected. The first group was given intervention as slow frontcrawl swimming and the second groups given intervention as slow breaststroke swimming after maximal exercise 50 meter sprint swimming . Pulse rate recovery was measured using Brouha method that is  pulse rate in the first minute until the fifth minute. Statistical analysis with the Wilcoxon test showed a decrease in pulse rate in both groups from the first minute until the fifth minute showed a significant decrease (p < 0,05). Based on the Mann Whitney test pulse rate recovery in the first minute and the second showed no significant difference ( p > 0,05 ), while the third to fifth minute pulse recovery in both groups showed significant differences ( p < 0,05 ) . The decrease of pulse rate in both groups in the first minute until the fifth minute showed significant results ( p < 0,05 ). In conclusion is slow freestyle swimming recovery methods is more effective than  slow breaststroke swimming recovery method in accelerate swimmer pulse rate recovery. The results of this study are expected to increase the knowledge of coaches and swimmer to be able to do a proper recovery methods.

Abstract

Daya tahan kardiorespirasi dapat ditingkatkan dengan latihan dan bergantung padafrekuensi, intensitas,durasi serta waktu latihan. Mahasiswa Program Studi PendidikanDokter Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Udayana (PSPD FK UNUD)angkatan 2013memiliki pola latihan fisik yang berbeda dengan mahasiswa D1 Bea Cukai SekolahTinggi Akutansi Negara  (STAN)Denpasar Angkatan 2013 kemungkinanmempengaruhi tingkat daya tahan kardiorespirasi. Penelitian cross sectional dilakukanuntuk mengetahui gambaran latihan fisik dan perbedaan daya tahan pada keduakelompok tersebut dengan pengambilan sampel secara konsekutif. Daya tahankardiorespirasi diukur dengan Cooper tes lari 2.4km. Ditemukan perbedaan signifikanantara daya tahan kardiorespirasi mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Dokter FakultasKedokteran Universitas Udayana Angkatan 2013 dengan mahasiswa D1 Bea CukaiSTAN Denpasar Angkatan 2013. Daya tahan kardiorespirasi mahasiswa PSPD FKUNUD   Angkatan 2013 lebih rendah dibandingkan daya tahan kardiorespirasimahasiswa D1 Bea Cukai STAN Denpasar Angkatan 2013.

Abstract

The Body Balance of students of the Faculty of Sport Education and Health PGRI Bali tend to decrease. This is supported by preliminary data from the body balance, that the students are in the norm level of balance. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of walking training on a straight beam 8 m x 10 cm x 30 cm 4 sets of 5 reps increasing student body balance Faculty of Sport Education and Healt Students IKIP PGRI Bali and to investigate the training walk on a straight beam 8 m x 10 cm x 30 cm 4 sets of 5 reps improve body balance is bigger than 4 repetitions 5 sets of students of Faculty of Sport Educatoin and Healt Student IKIP PGRI Bali. This study used a pretest-posttest randomized control group design. A total of 22 students aged 18-23 years were selected as members of the sample were divided into 2 groups. Group I was given a training walk on a straight beam as far as 8 feet 5 repetitions 4 sets and a Group II are trained to walk on a straight block as far as 8 feets 4 repetitions 5 sets. Training was given 4 times a week for 6 weeks. Balancing is measured before and after training use stork balance test. T-test Paired is used to determine the balance mean difference in the balance of each group before and after treatment with a significance level of 0,05, t-independent test to determine the increasing of the body balance. The results showed an increase in of body balance of the group I and group II. The results of test paired in group I the first data is 20,02±2,52 seconds increased 40,10±3,80 seconds in group II the first data is 21,47±5,08 seconds increased 34,59±5,47 seconds by significance level of 0,05 is significantly different. Test Paired results indicate a difference of the intreasing of balance of the group I and group II. Independent test results in group I was 20,08 seconds 50,07% and in group II was 13,12 seconds 37,93%. Based on these results we can conclude that training walk on a straight block as far as 8 meters 5 repetitions 4 sets is more increase balancing walking on the straight block as far as 8 meters 4 repetitions 5 sets.
