Abstract

Mine acid water has a high level of acidity as a result of oxidation of rocks containing pyrite and sulfide minerals from the remains of rocks exposed to oxygen in the water, which usually contain high metal content. One way to reduce the metal content in acid mine water is to use a silica membrane. In the study, silica membranes were made by extracting silica from fly ash by using two types of solvents or extractors, namely HCl and HNO3.  The adsorption time are 100 minutes, 120 minutes, and 140 minutes with the aim to find out which extractors can produce membranes with performance good and optimum time in the absorption of metal content from acid mine drainage. SEM analysis shows that there is no pore formed on the membrane. Based on the results of the analysis of the research conducted, it can be seen that the membrane with HCl extractor can work better in reducing metal content with optimum adsorption time in the 140th minute. Acid mine drainage also experienced a decrease in flux from 14.9283 L / m2 hours to 6.8244 L / m2h for the membrane with HCl extractor and for HNO3 membrane decreased from 11.9427 L / m2h to 7.6774 L / m2h. Keywords: Silica Membranes, Fly Ash Coal, Metal Content, Mine Acid Water, extractor

Abstract

Crude palm oil waste water is waste water that resulted from the palm oil industry. If crude palm oil waste water is released to environment, so it can decrease enviromentset quality  because it contains pollutant organic compound. In this research waste water crude palm oil processed using alum as coagulant with dosage 5000 ppm. This step process was continued by using the concentration fenton Fe2SO47H2O 0.004 M and concentration H2O2 0.32 M. In the final process waste water was treated  by adsorpstion active carbon columb of 30 cm, 40 cm and 50 cm and flow rate 80 mL/minute, 110 mL/minute and 140 mL/minute. In flow rate of  80 mL/minute and height activated carbon columb 50 cm the BOD, COD and TSS reduction increased until 70.10 %, 59.37 % and 85.69 % respectively.

Abstract

The activities of textile industry is often pollute the surrounding environment. It also occurs in industrial of Palembang  Weaving Songket. It influences the acidity and colored of the water. To manage this condition, the colored wastewater using adsorbents that absorbed from tea dregs. This study aimed to determine the effect of tea dregs adsorbent for wastewater quality improvement Songket industry. The Method of treatment of wastewater is used Batch system, which the wastewater is placed in a container by adding the adsorbent from the dregs of tea.  The used of variable is the absorption time for 2 hours, 4 hours, and 6 hours, with the composition of adsorbent mass 5 gr, 10 gr, and 15 gr. Tea dregs that used in this study has the 19.26% of hemicellulose, 39.54% of cellulose and lignin 20%. It takes four hours for the research in order to obtain maximum results, with tea dregs adsorbent composition that produces a pH smaller than the initial waste 6, COD content of 89.41 gr / L, and 3.993 ppm color intensity. Therefore, absorbent from the dregs of tea is very useful for the development of the textile industry, especially for Songket industrials.

Abstract

Background: The use of condoms is as a part of prevention against the risk of unwanted pregnancy and sexual transmitted diseases. Indonesia Demographic and Health Survey of Adolescent Reproductive Health in 2012 showed an increase in condoms use at the first sexual intercourse by unmarried adolescents in five years before survey. This study was to determine the most variables which influencing on condoms use at the first time by unmarried adolescents. Methods: This study used a cross sectional design and secondary data from Indonesia Demographic and Health Survey of Adolescents Reproductive Health in 2012. Population were unmarried adolescents aged 15-24 years old and samples were unmarried adolescents who ever had sexual intercourse and answer questions completely. Data analysis was done using univariate, bivariate and multivariate. Results: Condoms use at the first sexual intercourse by unmarried adolescents in Indonesia about 24.7%. The results of bivariate analysis indicate that there is a significant relationship between economic status (p-value = 0.007), information access (p-value = 0.042) and knowledge (p-value = 0.009) with the condoms use at the first sexual intercourse by unmarried adolescents in Indonesia. Economic status is the most influences factor of condoms use at the first sexual intercourse by unmarried adolescents (RP = 1.629 95% CI: 1.076 to 2.468; p-value = 0.021). Conclusion: These results can be informed not only on prevention and control program of HIV/AIDS but also on sexual transmitted infections in Indonesia which adolescents as the target.Keywords: Adolescents, Condom, First, Intercourse, Sexual DOI: https://doi.org/10.26553/jikm.2016.8.2.91-99

Abstract

Background: Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever is one of many infectious diseases that can cause death in a short time and can cause epidemics. Based on the  data from the Health Department OKI 2016, public health center of Celikah is endemic DHF puskesmas with the rate of DHF still high and exceeds of national indicator is expected that is IR <51 per 100,000. The objective of this study is analysis of incidence of gengue hemorrhagic fever Method: This study used a case control study design. The samples of this study were 114 samples from 57 dengue hemorrhagic  fever  cases and 57 controls of the ratio of 1: 1. The data analysis that has been done were univariate, bivariate analysis by using chi-square test and multivariate logistic regression using predictive models. Result: The variables significantly associated with the incidence of dengue  hemorrhagic fever were age (p value = <0.001; OR = 9.000; 95% CI: 2.486- 32.579), gender (p value = 0.002; OR = 5.622; 95% CI: 1.934-16.337), occupation (p value = 0.001; OR = 3.743; 95% CI: 1.718- 8.155), knowledge (p value = 0.015; OR = 2.750 95% CI: 1.284 -5.889), drain water reservoir (p value = 0.004; OR = 3.672; 95% CI: 1,554- 8.677), the installation of wire gauze (p value = <0.001; OR = 7.884 95% CI: 3.247- 19.142), health care utilization (p value = 0.012; OR = 2.9 95% CI: 1,322- 6.362). Variables that are not related, among others, education, attitudes, habits hang clothes, plants surrounding the house and the history of DHF. Age is the most dominant variable influenced by the incidence of DHF after controlling for other variables (p value = 0.007; ORa = 14.153; 95% CI: 2,062- 97.154). Abstract

ABSTRAK Tujuan pendelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan prestasi belajar mata diklat mengelola kartu persediaan pada siswa kelas XI Akuntansi 2 SMK Negeri 1 Karanganyar dengan menggunakan model active learning tipe Think-Pair-Share (TPS) dan untuk mengetahui gaya belajar visual, auditori, kinestetik yang paling sesuai dengan penerapan model pembelajaran tersebut.Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI Akuntansi 2 SMK Negeri 1 Karanganyar. Data yang digunakan peneliti adalah Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP), hasil angket dan hasil ulangan siswa sedangkan pengumpulan data yang dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara, angket dan tes. Validasi data angket menggunakan uji validitas dan realibilitas sedangkan validitas data kelas menggunakan observer lain. Proses penelitian dilakukan dengan 2 siklus yang terdiri dari empat tahap yaitu tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan model active learning tipe Think-Pair-Share (TPS) dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar pada mata diklat mengelola kartu persediaan pada siswa kelas XI Akuntansi 2 SMK Negeri 1 Karanganyar terutama pada siswa yang memiliki gaya belajar auditori ? ABSTRACT The objectives of this research are: (1) to improve the learning achievement of the 11th-grade students of Class Accounting 2 of State High Vocational School 1 of Karanganyar through the use of the Active Learning Model of Think-Pair-Share (TPS) type in the education and training subject of Inventory Card Management; and (2) to investigate which of the visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning styles is most suitable to the implementation of the learning model. This research used the classroom action research method with two cycles. Each cycle consisted of four phases, namely: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection, and was conducted in three meetings and each meeting was held for 2 x 45 minutes (90 minutes). The research was conducted in collaboration among the class teacher, the researcher, and the students in Grade XI of Class Accounting 2 of State High Vocational School 1 of Karanganyar. ?The data of this research consisted of Lesson Plan, result of the test, and inputs collected from the questionnaire. The data were gathered through observation, interview, questionnaire, and test. The data of the questionnaire were validated by using validity and reliability tests whereas the data of the class were validated by the other observer. the results of the research, a conclusion is drawn that the Active Learning Model of Think-Pair-Share (TPS) type can increase the learning achievement of the students in Grade XI of Class Accounting 2 of State High Vocational School 1 of Karanganyar in the education and training subject of Inventory Card Management, particularly those with auditory learning style. Abstract

Produksi yang tinggi merupakan tujuan dari budidaya udang vaname (Litopenaeus vannamei) secara intensif untuk memenuhi kebutuhan pasar dan salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan produksi adalah dengan padat tebar tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk untuk menganalisa pertambahan bobot dan kelangsungan hidup. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode purposif (Purposive Sampling Method).  Hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa padat tebar 170 dan 175 ekor/m2 memiliki hasil yang lebih baik diakhir pemeliharaan dilihat dari bobot rata-rata dan tingkat kelangsungan hidup yang lebih tinggi. Padat tebar 170 ekor/m2 menghasilkan bobot rata-rata 29,23 gram/ekor dan tingkat kelangsungan hidup 86,70. Padat tebar 175 ekor/m2  menghasilkan bobot rata-rata 29,18 gram/ekor dan tingkat kelangsungan hidup 82,35.

Abstract

Tingkat kecelakaan seperti pembersihan limbah beracun, penjelajahan bawah air dan luar angkasa, pertambangan,dan untuk pencariantambang,akanmempunyai resiko kecelakaan kerja yang cukup tinggi kejadian tersebut muncul inovasi yang mana dibuat sebuah robot yang berfungsi untuk menghindari halangan sebagaimana robot tersebut akan berhenti secara perlahan dan akan berhenti dengan jarak yang sudah ditentukan, sehinngga dapat mengurangi tingkat kecelakaan kerja. Belakangan ini robot mulai memasuki pasaran konsumen di bidang hiburan, dan alat pembantu rumah tangga, seperti penyedot debu,  pemotong rumput, dan sebagainya. Untuk merancang suatu robot yang bekerja menggunakan pergerakan otomatis dengan perpaduan antara hardware (sensor-sensor) dan software. Hal ini difungsikan agar alat dapat berjalan sesuai yang di inginkan. Dalam proses robot berjalan dengan menggunakan sensor sebagai navigasi. Sensor ultrasonic pada robot tersebut berfungsi membaca pergerakan, jadi robot dapat terus berjalan sesuai perintah program yang penulis buat. Sensor yang bekerja sebagai navigasi adalah sensor ultrasonic dimana sensor ini mampu mendeteksi adanya halangan yang berada didepannya, sehingga robot dapat berjalan dan menghindar sesuai perintah pada program. Tujuan dari penelitian ini membuat alat yang dapat membantu pekerja terhindar dari kecelakaan kerja yang tidak diinginkan

Abstract

One used method to reduce heavy metal ions in acid mine drainage is to adsorb them by coal fly ash. This research aimed to study the isotherms equilibrium and the adsorpstion kinetics that fit with decreasing metals ion. Acid mine draigane and fly ash were charge into batch coloumn adsorption with specified comparison. Variables investigated were dactivated and activated fly ash, adsorption times (0, 20, 30, 40,50, and 60 minutes), adsorben weights (10, 20, 30, 40, 50, and 60 gram), and pH (1, 3, 5, 7, and 9). The results showed that fly ash can be used to reduce the levels of heavy metal ions Fe and Mn. Coal fly ash adsorption model of acid mine drainage fits to Freundlich adsorption isotherm in all condition. First order pseudo model kinetics is suitable for Fe and Mn adsorption processes. The value of adsorpsi rate constants vary around : Fe and Mn (deactivated fly ash) 0.2388 min-1 with R2 = 0.4455 and 0.4173 min-1 with R2 = 0.9781, Fe and Mn (activated fly ash) 0.5043 min-1 dengan R2 = 1 and  0.2027 min-1 with R2 = 0.8803.
