Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine the comparison of students’ achievement of social studies using Picture and Picture and Course Review Horray model consider to the students’ learning interest. This study used comparative method with experimental approach. The population of this study was all the eighth grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Gunung Pelindung. The researcher used saturation sampling in determining the sample, the total number of students was 45 students. The data collection used were observation, questionnaire, and test. The results showed there was difference of students’ achievement between students who have taught by using PnP model and the students who have taught by using CRH model, and there was an interaction between PnP and CR with students’ learning interest. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui perbandingan hasil belajar IPS Terpadu menggunakan model Picture and Picture dan Course Review Horay dengan mempertimbangkan minat belajar siswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah komparatif dengan pendekatan eksperimen. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Gunung Pelindung. Penentuan sampel menggunakan metode sampling jenuh, yaitu sebanyak 45 siswa. Pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, angket, dan tes. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa, terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar antara siswa yang menggunakan model PnP dibandingkan dengan model CRH, serta terdapat interaksi antara model pembelajaran dengan minat belajar. Kata kunci: Course Review Horay, Hasil Belajar, Minat Belajar Siswa, Picture and Picture

Abstract

The study aims to know the influence of learning Readiness, learning style, and the efficacy of self-learning outcomes of IPS integrated students grade VII SMP Negeri 1 Bengkunat year lesson 2018/2019. The method used in this study is a veraticised deskriftif with an ex post facto approach and a survey. The population in this study was a class VII student of three classes with a total of 70 students with a sample of 60 students. The sampling technique in this study is probability sampling simple random sampling using the formula Slovin. The results showed that, there was both partially and multiple a learning readiness readiness, learning style, and self-efficacy towards the learning. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kesiapan belajar, gaya belajar, dan efikasi diri terhadap hasil belajar IPS Terpadu siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Bengkunat Tahun Pelajaran 2018/2019. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriftif verifikatif dengan pendekatan ex post facto dan survey. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII sebanyak tiga kelas dengan jumlah seluruh siswa yaitu 70 siswa dengan sampel sebanyak 60 siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah probability sampling yaitu simple random sampling dengan menggunakan rumus slovin. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh baik secara parsial maupun multiple kesiapan belajar, gaya belajar, dan efikasi diri terhadap hasil belajar. Kata kunci : Efikasi diri, gaya belajar, hasil belajar, dan kesiapan belajar.

Abstract

This study discusses the social movement conducted by post-reform Tzu Chi organization in Medan. The theory used is theory of social movements with three main factors in social movements; 1) political opportunity structure, 2) collective action frames, and 3) resource mobilization theory. This study aims to a) looking the concept of social movements, b) analyzing the concept of religious movements and c) revealing the position of Tzu Chi in Buddhism. This research applies qualitative methods with direct observation by analyzing subjective and objective experiences in sociological approach. This study was conducted in Medan City due to the following reasons: (1) the diverse population of Medan (2) Tzu Chi has many programs and volunteers in this city. The key informant in this study is the management of structural organization Tzu Chi, as it is considered representative and experienced in the organization. Additional informants are regular volunteers. The results of this study reveals that in the post reform era, Tzu Chi was growing and getting support from the inter-faith and ethnic. Majority ethnic of Tzu Chi is Chinese and form an organization which plays role as a container in showing its identity to maintain social stability and harmony amidst the diverse city of Medan. Their funding network collected through the business network, kinship and spiritual motivation of Buddhist teachings make organizational resources increasingly move to broaden the vision and mission of the organization. In conclusion, in the socio-religious context, Tzu Chi purifications for its Buddhist followers and implements organizational management patterns with 4 in 1 systems which considered modern, minimizing organizational conflicts and able to face the challenges.

Abstract

Abstract: Development of mobile learning application-based media. Objectives: The purpose of this study is to develop a more dynamic learning media by utilizing technology in the form of applications on smartphone devices to improve student learning outcomes. Methods: This study uses research and development methods with data collection techniques in the form of questionnaires, feasibility tests and effectiveness of mobile learning applications developed as learning media through stages designed according to the ADDHIE model. Findings: Product development in the form of mobile learning applications is feasible as a learning medium and effective for improving student learning outcomes with an increase in the average value of 28 students from 57.32 to 81.43. Conclusion: Mobile learning application is a good choice as a learning media.Keywords: Learning media, mobile learning application, research and developmentAbstrak: Pengembangan media pembelajaran berbasis aplikasi mobile learning. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran yang lebih dinamis dengan memanfaatkan teknologi dalam bentuk aplikasi pada perangkat smartphone untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Metode: penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan dengan teknik pengumpulan data dalam bentuk kuesioner, tes kelayakan dan efektivitasi aplikasi pembelajaran mobile yang dikembangkan sebagai media pembelajaran melalui tahapan yang dirancang sesuai dengan model ADDHIE. Temuan: Pengembangan produk dalam bentuk aplikasi pembelajaran mobile layak sebagai media pembelajaran dan efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dengan peningkatan nilai rata-rata 28 siswa dari 57,32 menjadi 81,43. Abstract

This research aims to apply inquiry learning that can increase student’s critical thinking ability and student’s learning achievement. To increase student’s critical thinking ability and student’s learning achievement with classroom action research by using inquiry learning. The data collecting technique was through observation, questionnaire and written test. Based on the observation and the questionnaire of critical thinking ability the students got an increase in each cycles. Based on the result of written test it was known that students’ learning achievement got an increase that in cycle 1 the percentage of completion reached 51,85 %, after the application of cycle 2 the percentage of completion reached 70,37% and after the application of cycle 3 the percentage of completion reached 92,59%.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menerapkan pembelajaran inkuiri yang dapat meningkatkan  kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dan prestasi belajar siswa. Untuk meningkatakan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan prestasi belajar siswa dengan penelitian tindakan kelas dengan menggunakan pembelajaran inkuiri. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan observasi, angket dan tes tertulis. Berdasarkan observasi dan angket  kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa mengalami  peningkatan untuk setiap siklusnya.  Berdasarkan hasil tes tertulis diketahui prestasi belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan yaitu  pada saat siklus 1 persentase ketuntasan mencapai 51,85 %, setelah pelaksanaan tindakan pada siklus 2 persentase ketuntasan mencapai 70,37 % dan setelah pelaksanaan tindakan siklus 3 persentase ketuntasan mencapai 92,59 %.Kata kunci: pembelajaran inkuiri, kemampuan berpikir kritis, prestasi belajar

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to produce the Connected Model in social studies that can be used as an alternative to improve the learning outcomes of students in junior high, connected model to analyze the effectiveness of testing in social studies. This research method uses Research and Development (R&D). Results showed that connected model product development in social studies learning was developed by using the research design development adopted the steps from Dick and Carey instructional design model, and then tested with the results of the development steps by Borg and Gall development research, conducted through 6 stages, namely: making needs analysis, planning or product development, or expert review of the expert validation, product revision, the test is limited, and, so models and reporting. Connected Model in the IPS learning effectively used in teaching social studies.Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan Model Connected pada mata pelajaran IPS yang dapat dijadikan alternatif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik di SMP, menganalisis pengujian efektifitas Model Connected pada mata pelajaran IPS. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan Research and Development (R&D). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pengembangan produk model Connected dalam pembelajaran IPS dikembangkan menggunakan model rancangan penelitian pengembangan mengadopsi langkah-langkah Dick and Carey sebagai model desain pembelajaran, kemudian hasil pengembangan diuji cobakan dengan langkah-langkah penelitian pengembangan Borg and Gall, yang dilaksanakan melalui 6 tahap, yaitu: membuat analisis kebutuhan, perencanaan atau pengembangan produk,  validasi ahli atau reviu ahli,  revisi produk, uji terbatas, dan, model jadi dan pelaporan. Model Connected dalam pembelajaran IPS efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran IPS.Kata kunci:  ips, model pembelajaran connected, pendidikan karakter

Abstract

This research is historical descriptive history. Data was collected with a documentation method that is both historical descriptive history is to describe, explain and clarify the facts of history. As for the data analysis techniques used heuristic, criticism, interpretation and historiography. The research concludes that the concept of social justice has become one of the Soekarno’s philosophical thought which a society of social justice or the nature of a just and prosperous society. Sukarno had brilliant ideas about social justice. The idea of social justice cannot be separated from the movement of unity and mutual assistance. Precisely the nation united and willing to collaborate will be able to understand the value of social justice. Struggle value implied in a speech at the Bung Karno particular physical revolution against colonial era during 1945-1950 implied national character building consisting of independence, democracy, national unity and international prestige.Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian metode sejarah yang bersifat historical deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan dokumentasi metode sejarah yang bersifat historical deskriptif yaitu untuk melukiskan, menjelaskan dan menerangkan fakta sejarah. Adapun teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah heuristik, kritik, interpretasi dan historiografy. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa konsep keadilan sosial telah menjadi salah satu pemikiran filosofis presiden Soekarno menurutnya keadilan sosial adalah suatu masyarakat atau sifat suatu masyarakat adil dan makmur. Soekarno memiliki buah pikiran yang cemerlang tentang keadilan sosial. Gagasan keadilan sosial tidak bisa terlepas dari gerakan persatuan dan gotong royong. Justru bangsa yang tahu bersatu dan mau berkerjasama akan dapat memahami nilai keadilan sosial. Nilai kejuangan tersirat dalam pidato Bung Karno khususnya di era revolusi fisik melawan penjajah sepanjang Tahun 1945-1950 tersirat pembangunan karakter bangsa yang terdiri dari kemandirian, demokrasi, persatuan nasional dan martabat internasional.Kata kunci: nilai sosial, nilai kejuangan, teks pidato

Abstract

This study aimed to compare GI and TSTS model on learning achievement of Social Studies  and critical thinking skills. The collection of data through observation, interviews, documentation and testing. Hypothesis testing using a t-test of two independent samples. The results showed an average of Integrated Social learning outcomes and critical thinking skills of students whose learning using learning TSTS model was higher than GI model. The average achievment of Social Studies with TSTS models  was 80,322 and its increasing was 27,903 while 78,5 for GI models with an increasing 25,5. While the critical thinking skills of using TSTS model was 82,451 and 21,193 for its increasing and 77,5 for GI model with an increasing 20,3.Penelitian ini bertujuan membandingankan model pembelajaran TSTS dengan GI terhadap hasil belajar IPS Terpadu dan kemampuan berpikir kritis. Pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi dan tes. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan t-test dua sampel independen. Hasil penelitian rata-rata hasil belajar IPS Terpadu dan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa menggunakan model TSTS lebih tinggi dibandingkan model  GI. Rata-rata hasil belajar  IPS Terpadu model TSTS 80,322 dengan peningkatan 27,903 dan model GI 78,5 dengan peningkatan 25,5.  Sedangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis model TSTS 82,451 dengan peningkatan 21,193 dan model GI 77,5 dengan peningkatan 20,3.Kata kunci: hasil belajar, berpikir kritis, GI, TSTS.

HUBUNGAN LOC DAN MOTIVASI BERPRESTASI DENGAN SELF EFFICACY DAN MINAT BERWIRAUSAHA

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the correlations between Locus Of Control (LOC) and achievement motivation with self efficacy and students’ interest in entrepreneurship economics education. The population in this study were students of economic education class of 2010,2011,2012 and 2013 with the total were 357 students while the sample of 148 students were determined using Cochran formula and multistage cluster sampling techniques. The method used was descriptive associative method with an ex post facto approach and survey. The hypothesis was tested using linear regression with path analysis. The results showed that: (1)There is a correlation between locus of control and interest in entrepreneurship; (2)There is a correlation between achievement motivation and interest in entrepreneurship; (3)There is no correlation between achievement motivation and locus of control; (4)There is a correlation between locus of control and self efficacy; (5)There is a correlation between achievement motivation and self efficacy;(6)There is a correlation between self efficacy and interest in entrepreneurship.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara Locus Of Control (LOC) dan motivasi berprestasi dengan self efficacy dan minat berwirausaha mahasiswa Pendidikan Ekonomi. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Pendidikan Ekonomi angkatan 2010,2011,2012 dan 2013 yang berjumlah 357 dengan sampel 148 mahasiswa yang ditentukan menggunakan rumus Cochran dan teknik multistage cluster sampling. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif asosiatif dengan pendekatan ex post facto dan survey. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji regresi linear dengan analisis jalur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1)Terdapat hubungan antara locus of control dengan minat berwirausaha; (2)Terdapat hubungan antara motivasi berprestasi dengan minat berwirausaha; (3)Tidak terdapat hubungan antara locus of control dengan motivasi berprestasi; (4)Terdapat hubungan antara locus of control dengan self efficacy; (5)Terdapat hubungan antara motivasi berprestasi dengan self efficacy; (6)Terdapat hubungan antara self efficacy dengan minat berwirausaha.Kata kunci : LOC, minat, motivasi, self efficacy

Abstract

Communication skills influence of science on students mastery of physics concepts in a static fluid material, especially static fluid, which requires the students ability to perform trial and analyze experimental results in order to assist them in understanding the concept. The teachers, who are involved in the process of teaching materials, need to choose the right way to do lab work. Through this technique, students create the concepts and solve problems easily. The purpose of this experiment was to determine the increase in student’s mastery of physics concepts using science communication skills and influence skills to communicate science to students mastery of physics concepts in a static fluid material. Results of this study indicate that there is an increasing mastery of concepts by 0.55 and there is a linear effect of body skills to communicate science to the physics students mastery of concepts by 14%. The degree of relationship between science communication skills and mastery of concepts have a influence strong relationship.
