Abstract

Problem in this research is: (1) How developing instructional strategy of geography which suited for matters is having characteristic visual dominance, (2) How knowing effectiveness of instructional strategy of geography for matters is having characteristic visual dominance. This development research done with matter expert validity test and instructional expert. This research method applies model R&D. This research requires student to test instructional strategy effectiveness developed. Result of inferential research as follows: (1) instructional strategy of geography developed assessed it is good to is applied alternatively solution in teaching matter having visual dominance character. This thing is as according to result of validation from matter expert and instructional expert, and also product testing, (2) Instructional strategy product of geography developed is effective is applied alternatively solution to teach matter geography having visual dominance characteristic. This thing is proved with improvement of ability of student in analyzing instructional matter.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the distribution and potential of tourism objects found in Ngargoyoso District, Karanganyar Regency, Central Java Province. Ngargoyoso sub-district was chosen as the location of the study because in this area the development of tourism was very fast. Methods of data collection by field observations (penitikan tourist location using GPS), secondary data analysis and interviews with managers / tourists. The results showed that in Ngargoyoso Subdistrict there were 19 tourism objects scattered in four villages, namely Berjo, Girimulyo, Segorogunung and most of them in Kemuning Village. The results of the analysis of tourism potential indicate the potential of tourism objects in Ngargoyoso District consists of 3 categories of objects, namely tourism objects with the category of Very Potential (Tahura, Jumog Waterfall, and Parang Ijo Waterfall). Quite Potential category (Sukuh Temple, Telaga Madirda, Paragliding, Bukit Kemuning, Katresnan Valley, Sumilir Valley, Tanggri Asri, Kali Pucung, Taman Pesona, Jambu Merah "234", Taman Bintang, Kali Sebendo, Kalimas, Njurang Salam and Tubing Goa Sari ), the Less Potential category is the Planggatan Site.

Abstract

The research was distributed by the demands of professional teachers in carrying out the mandate to develop and implement creative and productive learning involving learners as well as their role actively. The learning process that facilitates the needs of learners and of innovative designed will be able to create an atmosphere of learning fun and meaningful for learners. Especially for geography teachers who want to create a geography learning with fun and meaningful then must master the application of model-based learning environment. This initial research is the study of the introduction in the form of needs analysis in the development of a prototype model of learning geography-based environment for creating school fun. Needs analysis is done to strengthen basic product development model so that the expected results have great benefits for teachers. In the needs analysis will be known the level of understanding of the geography teacher in Surakarta City against the application of the model of learning geography-based environment. This learning model of product development done because of early observations of known low learning motivation of the learners follow learning geography in school.The research method used was Research and Development version of the Borg and Gall. Phases of this research is the first step of the model of Research and Development. At this stage of the preliminary study it, researchers attempted to dig in depth about the perception, skill, and the suitability of the curriculum learning focussed experiences related to the geography-based environment for creating school fun. Engineering data collection done by interview and Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and geography teachers in the city of Surakarta.From research conducted, produced conclusions that: 1) the perception of teachers in understanding the concept of geography-based learning model development environment is already good enough. Teachers describe teaching experience by leveraging the model-based learning environment. 2) teacher skills in teaching using model-based geography learning environment is already quite good, though there is still that have not been put into practice appropriate procedures systematically. This has an impact on the learning process becomes not interesting for learners. 3) Utilizing the geography learning resource in the form of an environment capable of answering the demands of the scientific approach to skills achievement Curriculum on 2013.

Abstract

SINGGIH PRIHADI: The Development of Instructional Multimedia of RemoteSensing to Increase Spatial Intellegence for the Student of Senior High School.This research was aimed at developing good and effective multimedia forremote sensing in Senior High Schools of Surakarta.The research was conducted in Senior High Schools in Surakarta by usinga research and development study. Subjects of the research were students in classXII of the senior high school The research was conducted in four steps, covering:(1) need analysis, (2) development of instructional design, (3) development ofproduct design, (4) product evaluation and implementation of the product. Theproduct was validated by one expert in multimedia and one expert in materials.Fourty-five students were involved in the product tryout in which 3 students wereinvelued in the one-to-one evaluation, 12 students in small-group evaluation and30 sudents in field-trial evaluation. Data of the research were gained from expertevaluation validation sheet of the instructional media and materials, and thestudents feedback of the media, particularly in the learning aspect of itsoperational intelligibility, intelligibility of content to learn, and interesting layoutand program. The data were analyzed by using descriptive qualitative technique.Results of the research reveal that: (a) the quality of multimedia was goodregarding the aspect of content and efficacy, (b) the quality of instruction wasvery good regarding the aspect of layout, operation, navigation and efficacy, (c)the quality of multimedia was very good regarding the aspects of the inteligibilityof product operation, product instuction content and layout. It also implies thatthe multimedia of remote sensing for the students of Senior Schools of Surakartais eligible to be used as learning resources.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menentukan hidrodinamika jaring kejer. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada kecepatan arus 15, 20, 25, dan 30 cm/detik,  jaring kejer dengan mesh size  3,5 inci secara berturut-turut mengalami drag force  7,78, 13,51, 20,78,  dan 29,72 gf. Jaring kejer dengan mesh size 4,0 inci mengalami drag force 6,66, 11,55, 17,76, dan 25,41 gf. Tinggi jaring kejer dengan mesh size 3,5 inci ketika dipasang pada flume tank dengan kecepatan arus yang sama sedikit lebih pendek dibanding jaring kejer dengan mesh size 4,0 inci. Tinggi jaring kejer dengan mesh size 3,5 dan 4,0 inci yang menggunakan pelampung kontrol ketika dipasang pada kecepatan arus 15 em/ detik secara berturut-turut 47,2 dan 48, 5 em. Penambahan daya apung menjadi 1,5 kali dari daya apung pelampung kontrol, merubah ketinggian jaring kejer dengan mesh size 3,5 dan 4,0 inei menjadi 56,4 dan 60,8 em. The objective  of this experiment  was to determine  hydrodynamic of jaring kejer (bottom  gil/net). Result of this ex periment indicates that at current speed of 15, 20, 25, and 30 cmls, jaring kejer of 3. 5 inch mesh size encountered  drag force of 7. 78, 13.51, 20.78, and 29.72 gf, respectively Whilstjaring kejer of 4.0 inch mesh size encountered  drag force of 6.66, 11. 55, 17. 76, and 25.41 gf, respectively Net height of jaring kejer of 3. 5 inch mesh size was slightly lower than jaring kejer of 4.0 inch mesh size during  encounter of similar  current  speed. Net height of jaring  kejer using control buoyancy  for 3.5 and 4.0 inch mesh  sizes during  encountered current speed  of 15 cmls  were  47.2 and 48.5 em. Increasing  of buoyancy to 1.5 times  of control  buoyancy  might  increases  net height  of jaring kejer using 3.5 and 4.0 inch mesh sizes to 56.4 and 60.8 em, respectively.
