Abstract

ABSTRACT - This research  aimed  to know,  (1)  The existence of significant influence’s  Group Investigation  model towards the results study of Biology class X SMAN 2 Karanganyar, (2) The existence of significant influence’s creativity level towards the results study of Biology students in class X SMAN 2 Karanganyar, (3) The  interaction of significant influence’s between Group Investigation  model and creativity level towards the results study of Biology students in class X SMAN 2 Karanganyar. This research is Quasi Experimental Research. Subject in this research are students class X  SMAN 2 Karanganyar semester I  academic year  2011/2012.  Sample in this research are 2 class there are class X2 as control class and class X4 as experiment class. Technique of  data collection  test, questionnaire and observation sheet. Test is used to measure of cognitif domain and student creativity level, questionnaire is used to measure of afective domain, and observation sheet is used to measure of psikomotoric domain. Technique of data analysis use two ways Varians Analysis (ANAVA) and continuation test use double comparation Scheffe method. Based the result of this research can conclude are, (1) there is significant influence using learning model Group Investigation  towards the results study of Biology, (2) there is significant influence creativity level students towards the results study of Biology, (3) there is no interaction of significant influence’s between Group Investigation   model and creativity level  towards the results study of Biology. The result of continuation test use  Scheffe  method  can conclude are,  (1)  there is significant influence between  column  A1  (using  Group Investigation  model)  and  column  A2 (using Conventional model)  towards the results study of Biology, and (2) there is significant influence between row B1  (high level creativity) and  row B2  (low level creativity)  towards the results study of Biology. The case must be concern in implementation of learning model Group Investigation  for research to be effective are students psychological factors like as readiness students capability to learning be autonomous and the students anxienty with sub topic for investigated.   Keywords: Group Investigation, Creativity, Result Study of Biologi

Abstract

ABSTRACT – The  purpose of this research is to improve students’  science process skills in class X5 SMA Negeri 6 Surakarta in academic year 2011/2012 with implementation of Group Investigation cooperative learning model. This research was a classroom action research and performed in  2 cycles. Every cycle consists of 4 steps, namely planning, action, observation, and reflection. The data were collected by observation, questionnaire, and interview. The  data were  validated by  triangulation method. The collected data were supported by the result of students’ science process skills test in the last cycle. The analyzed technique used descriptive analysis.  The result of this research showed that  according observation  sheet  the average percentage of science process skills aspect in the cycle I was 52,57% and  had been improved up to 80,36% in cycle II. The average percentage of science process skills aspect based on quetionnaire in cycle I was 84,22% and 86,56% in cycle II. According to the students interview,could be concluded that the students were able to do  science process skill in learning process. The data of science process skill test in cycle I, the student that got test result  ≥ 70 was 25% and  in cycle II was 67,86%.  The average test result of the class in cycle I was 60,27 had been improved up to 67,14 in cycle II. The conclusion of this research was the implementation  of  Group Investigation (GI)  cooperative  learning model could  improve  students science process skills in class X5 SMA Negeri 6 Surakarta in academic year 2011/2012. Abstract

ABSTRACT – This research purposed to know the influence of learning  PBI+STAD towards higher level of social and thinking skill of 10th  grade students in SMA Negeri Colomadu school year 2011/2012.  PBI+STAD  are combined learning models of syntax PBI on STAD. This research is a  quasi experimental  research using  Posttest Only Control Group Design. The independent variable was the model of PBI+STAD learning. The dependent variable is the higher order thinking and social skill of students. General population is all 10th  grade students from second semester in SMA Negeri Colomadu Karanganyar school year 2011/2012. The sampling technique used Cluster random Sampling. Samples in this research are class X-2 as an experiment class using a model of PBI+STAD and the class X-7 as a control class using models of learning that vary with lectures, discussions, and demonstrations. The technique of data collection of higher order thinking skill used technique test. The measurement of social skill used a questionnaire.  Prerequisite test analysis consisted of normality test and homogeneity test. Normality test was done with Kolmogorov Smirnov method. Normality test results indicated that the data were normally distributed. Homogeneity test applied Levene’s Test. The result showed that all groups are homogeneous. Data analysis technique for testing of hypothesis in this research is t-test with the aid of SPSS program version 16 significance level 5%. The result showed that higher order thinking are t0 > ttabel = 2.00 > 0.104 and social skill are t0 > ttabel = 2.00 > 1.51. The research concluded that  (1) PBI+STAD learning model does not affect the higher order thinking skills in 10th  grade students in  SMA  Negeri Colomadu Karanganyar,  (2) PBI+STAD  learning model does not affect the social skills in 10th grade students in SMA Negeri Colomadu Karanganyar. Abstract

ABSTRACT – The  research is classroom action research. The aim is to improve class climate and student’s learning motivation in class X-1 of SMA Batik 1 Surakarta by integrating ICT media into collaborative learning approach  that implemented in biology learning  process.  This act is based on the biology learning process observation  in class X-1 where   researcher found some learning problems. They are class  climate  and  student’s  learning motivation. Based on literatures  study, we give solution to improve them by integrating ICT media into collaborative learning approach.  Main data  is  collected from questioner  and    observation. While additional data is taken from interview, documentation, and test. Validation data uses triangulation and expert team. The act of research consists  of two cycles. Research target is 65% for class climate and 60% for student’s learning  motivation. The result of cycle  1 describes that generally the research target is accomplished not optimally. Percentage of class climate is 65,54% and student’s learning motivation  is 72,58%. The result of cycle  2 describes that generally the research target is accomplished optimally.  Percentage of class  climate  is  73,65%  and  student’s learning motivation is 77,30%. This cycle stopped here because targets accomplished optimally. Class climate and student’s learning motivation increase well.  This learning approach can improve targets because it’s syntax  support student’s  interaction and  interest. The conclusion of this research describes that integration ICT media into collaborative learning approach can improve  class climate and student’s learning motivation in class X-1 of SMA Batik 1 Surakarta. The research was quasi experiment research. The research was designed using posttest only control group design  by using the experimental classes (application of Guided Inquiry learning model) and control classes (conventional learning. The populations of this research were all of 10th degree students at SMA Negeri 5 Surakarta in academic year 2011/2012.  The samples of  this research were the students of X-4 as experiment group and X-2 as control group. The sample of this research was established by cluster random sampling. The  data was collected essay test, observation form, and document. The hypotheses analyzed by Two-Way Anava. The research concluded that 1) application of Guided Inquiry learning model had significant effect toward science process skill, 2) the academic ability didn’t has significant effect toward science process skill, 3) there was interaction between Guided Inquiry learning model and academic ability toward science process skills. ABSTRACT – The purposes of this research are to ascertain: 1) the influence of Guided Inquiry combined Cooperative Jigsaw model toward science process skills, 2) the influence of academic ability toward science process skills, 3) the interaction between Guided Inquiry combined Cooperative Jigsaw model and academic ability toward science process skills. The research was quasi experiment research. The research was designed using pretest posttest nonequivalent control group design. Experimental group applied Guided Inquiry combined Cooperative Jigsaw model. Control group applied Conventional model. The populations of this research were all of 10th  degree students at SMA Negeri 2 Surakarta in academic year 2011/2012.  The samples of this research were the students of X-1 as experiment group and X-3 as control group. The sample of this research was established by cluster random sampling. The data was collected essay test, observation form, and document. The hypotheses analyzed by Anacova. Abstract

ABSTRACT – The research is aimed to developing an items test and questionnaire analysis software in order that facilitate students of Biology Education Department, Sebelas Maret University who are conducting research in schools  to analyzing the items test and questionnaire. The software is AN Soft 1.0 that has functions to facilitate the user in analyzing the items test and questionnaire. The software is based on Microsoft Visual Foxpro 9.0 with Microsoft Office 2007 and 2010 as controllers. The research is belonged to Research and Development Method (R & D) (Borg, WR and Gall, MD, 1989) with the following research stages. Research and initial data collection, planning, making the initial product, the initial product  test, the initial product improvements, field test, operational and product improvements. The research involves the following trial subjects. (1) The initial test involving an educational expert, visual communication expert, and information technology expert. (2) The small trial group involves 30 students of Biology Education Department, Sebelas Maret University. (3) The large trial group involves 50 students of Biology Education Department, Sebelas Maret University. The data was analyzed using qualitative descriptive approach that describes and interprets the qualitative data. Before the data was analyzed, carried out the quantification of data from the questionnaires and the assessment form then the data was analyzed qualitatively. The interviews data was analyzed qualitatively. The results of field test 1 and 2 showed that there is an increasing percentage of the total score from all aspects. The results of the questionnaire showed that the rate of interesting on AN Soft 1.0 users increased from 85.33% to 89.8% is classified as very strong, the ease of installing Soft AN 1.0 increased from 84.33% to 94.2% is classified as very strong, The ease of operations AN Soft 1.0 increased from 84% to 93.4% is classified as very strong, and the mastery level of AN Soft 1.0 users increased from 81% to 90.6% which is classified as very strong. Based on the results, it was concluded the developing of items test and questionnaire analysis software product can be facilitating users to analysis items test and questionnaire in accordance with the rules of proper instruments analysis. Abstract

ABSTRACT – This  research aims to find out the influence of SAVI approach using STAD type of cooperative learning model on learning achievement in the VII graders  Junior High School of 14 Surakarta. This research belonged to a quasi-experiment with quantitative approach. The research was designed using posttest only non-equivalent control group design by applying SAVI approach with STAD type of cooperative learning for experiment class and using conventional learning approach with lecture and demonstration methods for control class. The population of research was all 7th graders Junior High School of 14 Surakarta in the school year of 2011/2012. The sample of research was the VII C graders as experiment group and VII B graders as control group. The sampling technique used was cluster random sampling. Technique of collecting data used was objective test, observation test, and school document. The hypothesis testing was conducted using t-test. The data analyzed by Minitab version 16 program help at 5% significance. The hypothesis result of the influence of SAVI approach with STAD type of cooperative learning results p-value < 0,05, so there is affects SAVI approach with STAD type of cooperative learning on the learning achievement in the VII graders Junior High School of 14 Surakarta. Abstract

ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kompetensi mahasiswa dengan pembelajaran yang mengintegrasikan pendekatan konstruktivisme dalam model problem based learning berbasis kooperatif pada mata kuliah Strategi Pembelajaran Biologi. Sejalan dengan tujuan yang ingin dicapai, penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi FKIP UNS pada semester genap tahun akadamik 2009/2010. Subjek penelitian adalah 48 mahasiswa semester IV kelas A yang menempuh mata kuliah Strategi Pembelajaran Biologi. Variabel masalah yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kompetensi mahasiswa dalam mata kuliah Strategi Pembelajaran Biologi, sedangkan variabel tindakannya adalah penerapan pembelajaran yang mengintegrasikan Pendekatan Konstruktivisme dalam Model Problem Based Learning Berbasis Kooperatif. Tindakan ini dirumuskan dengan langkah-langkah pembelajaran yang terdiri dari pembentukan kelompok kooperatif, orientasi masalah, kerja kelompok, konstruksi pengetahuan, diskusi kelas, dan finalisasi proyek. PTK ini dilaksanakan dalam tiga siklus. Masing-masing siklus terdiri atas perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Target dari penelitian ini adalah rata-rata nilai uji kompetensi mahasiswa sebesar 85. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan rata-rata nilai uji kompetensi yaitu sebesar 82,92 pada siklus I, 84,44 pada siklus II, dan 85,15 pada siklus III. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini disimpulkan bahwa kompetensi mahasiswa dapat ditingkatkan dengan pembelajaran yang mengintegrasikan pendekatan konstruktivisme dalam model problem based learning berbasis kooperatif pada mata kuliah Strategi Pembelajaran Biologi.   Kata kunci: kompetensi mahasiswa, integrasi pendekatan konstrtuktivisme dalam PBL berbasis kooperatif, Strategi Pembelajaran Biologi

Abstract

ABSTRAK   Tujuan yang ingin dicapai dalam penelitian ini sebagai berikut (1). Menguji pengaruh model pembelajaran aktif Avtive Knowlegde Sharing terhadap hasil belajar biologi kelas X SMA Negeri 2 Karanganyar  tahun pelajaran 2011/ 2012 (2). Menguji pengaruh minat belajar siswa terhadap hasil belajar biologi kelas X SMA Negeri 2 Karanganyar tahun pelajaran 2011 2012 (3). Menguji ada tidaknya interaksi antara model pembelajaran aktif Active Knowledge Sharing dan minat siswa terhadap hasil belajar biologi kelas X SMA Negeri 2 Karanganyar tahun pelajaran 2011/ 2012. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Eksperimen Semu (Quasi Experimental Research) menggunakan Posttest Only Nonequivalent Control Gruop Design. Model pembelajaran sebagai variabel bebas, minat sebagai variabel moderator, dan hasil belajar sebagai variabel terikat. Populasi penelitian ini adalah adalah seluruh siswa kelas X SMA N 2 Karanganyar tahun pelajaran 2011/2012. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X.1 sebagai kelas kontrol dan siswa kelas X.2 sebagai kelas eksperimen. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan “Cluster Random sampling”. Teknik pengumpulan data hasil belajar ranah kognitif menggunakan teknik tes, angket, dan lembar observasi. Pengukuran minat menggunakan angket. Teknik analisis data menggunakan anava. Kesimpulan hasil penelitian ini sebagai berikut 1). Model Active Knowledge Sharing berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar biologi ranah kognitif dengan P-value 0,024, sedangkan pada ranah afektif dan ranah psikomotor tidak berpengaruh pada siswa kelas X SMA N 2 Karanganyar dengan P-value 0,059 dan 0,274; 2). Tidak terdapat pengaruh antara minat tinggi, sedang, dan rendah terhadap hasil belajar biologi pada ranah kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotor pada siswa kelas X SMA N 2  Karanganyar dengan P-value 0,742; 0,702 dan 0,805; 3). Tidak ada interaksi antara model pembelajaran dan minat belajar terhadap hasil belajar biologi siswa SMA N 2 Karanganyar dengan P-value 0,852; 0,483; dan 0,717.   Kata kunci:  Model  Active Knowledge Sharing, hasil belajar, dan minat.
