Lightweight Solar Vehicle Impact Analysis Using ABAQUS/EXPLICIT

Abstract

This paper described the Abaqus/Explicit 6.7 simulation work performed to study the frontal crash impact condition for an in-house designed and produced lightweight solar vehicle main structural body. The structural body was fabricated from aluminum hollow pipes welded together. The analysis is needed to safeguard the safety of the vehicle driver. The dynamic response of the vehicle structure when subjected to frontal impact condition was simulated, according to NASA best practice for crash test methodology. The simulated speed used was based on the NHTSA standard. Comparison of the analysis with the standard Head Injury Criteria (HIC) and Chest Injury Criteria (CIC) revealed that the driver of the designed vehicle would not be risk because the acceleration resultant was found to be lower than 20 G.  The analysis also proved that structural component was able to protect the driver during any frontal collision incident. However, to ensure the safety of the driver, safety precautions such as the use of seatbelt and helmet as well as driving below the speed limit are recommended.

Abstract

Sebuah mikrokontroler ATMEGA 8535 dirancang untuk tujuan pendeteksi golongan darah otomatis yang portable sehingga mudah dibawa serta digunakan, dalam pengujiannya metode yang digunakan adalah metode ABO. Untuk mendesain alat, desain framework menjadi landasan dalam pemikiran konsep, selanjutnya diterjemahkan dalam bentuk sket desain  dan CAD desain. Langkah selanjutnya adalah perakitan komponen dari segi perangkat keras dan pembuatan program (software). Untuk perangkat keras yang menjadi inti sistem adalah sensor yang memanfaatkan sistem LED dan LDR sedangkan bahasa yang digunakan adalah bahasa C. Pada proses pengujian alat dilakukan menggunakan cara statistik, yaitu dengan mengukur waktu pengujian untuk mendapatkan nilai rata-rata. Nilai rata-rata waktu yang dibutuhkan untuk mendeteksi golongan darah adalah 2 menit 30 detik dengan jumlah sampel yang diambil adalah 12 orang, dengan rincian 3 orang golongan darah A, 3 orang darah B, 3 orang darah AB serta 3 orang O. adapun tingkat akurasi dari alat ini adalah 100%

Abstract

In this charging system, constant-current charging technique keeps the current flow into the battery on its maximum range of 2A. The use of fuzzy logic control of this charging system is to control the value of PWM. PWM is controlling the value of current flowing to the battery during the charging process. The current value into the battery depends on the value of battery voltage and also its temperature. The cutoff system will occur if the temperature of the battery reaches its maximum range

Abstract

Computer Vision is one of reasearch that gets a lot of attention with many applications. One of the application is the hand gesture recognition system. By using EmguCV, will be obtained camera images from webcam camera. The Pictures will be disegmented by using  skin detection method for decrease noises in order to obtain the information needed. The final project of this system is to implement the convexity defect method for extracting images and recognize patterns of hand gesture that represent the characters A, B, C, D, and E. The parameters used in pattern recognition of hand gesture is the number and length of the line connecting the hull and defects derived from the pattern of hand gesture.

Abstract

ELCONAS (Electronic Control with Android System) is a tool designed to control electronic devices. This control Android via Bluetooth communication and SMS Gateway that can be controlled by the user. Control using Bluetooth, applied for a certain distance which is connected to android, Bluetooth with limited distance range of services and the use of the remote system is used SMS Gateway is connected via a short message that is sent to the microcontroller through a module that has been installed on the microcontroller, using ArdunioMega 2560. ELCONAS designed to minimize the occurrence of short circuits and even prevent fires because the user can handle it via the application without having to interact directly with electronic devices that are at home or office.

Molecular Docking on Azepine Derivatives as Potential Inhibitors for H1N1-A Computational Approach

Abstract

Azepine are an important class of organic compounds. They are effective in a wide range of biological activity such as antifeedants, antidepressants, CNS stimulants, calcium channel blocker, antimicrobial and antifungal properties. In our continue efforts to search for a potent inhibitor for H1N1 virus using molecular docking. In this study, 15 azepine (ligands) derivatives were docked to the neuraminidase of A/Breving Mission/1/1918 H1N1 strain in complex with zanamivir (protein). The Cdocker energy was then calculated for these complexes (protein-ligand). Based on the calculation, the lowest Cdocker interaction energy was selected and potential inhibitors can be identified. Compounds MA4, MA7, MA8, MA10, MA11 and MA12 with promising Cdocker energy was expected to be very effective against the neuraminidase H1N1.

Abstract

Indralaya known as the City of Students and Education, also has more than 30 boarding school, and 60 senior high school / vocational school spread over Ogan Ilir. Implementation of community service performed in Inderalaya to determine the relationship of the behavior of teenagers surfs the internet and provide knowledge about healthy and safe while surfing an internet. The method of data collection using questionnaires. Number of questionnaires distributed as many as 27 participants from SMAN 1 Inderalaya Utara and Pondok Pesantren Al Ittifaqiyah based on age from 15 to 17 years. Results showed teenagers have the tendency to access the internet every day with a duration of 1-2 hours and mostly done in the bedroom. Applications often they use is social networking. The teens also have the courage to meet with people who are known via online with a percentage of 29.6%.

Abstract

This research was designed a control fuzzy system using Sugeno method for obstacle avoidance behavior on a ship robot. Ultrasonic sensor (SRF05) is applied as input sensor for detecting and measuring a distance of obstacles. This single sensor is setting with 3 zone area which area zone 600, zone 900 and zone 1200. The sensor is controlling by servo motor more over this output of sensor is using as input data for fuzzy Sugeno which is processed in microcontroller. The microcontroller is sending the output result from fuzzy Sugeno to a servo motor which is then controlling the driving rudder. The experiment result show the sensor is covering the distance of 10 cm to 200 cm for 3 zones respectively the maneuver of ship robot is able to move freely without colliding due to maximum error of angle of rudder is 3,684%

Abstract

Indonesia menjadi negara dengan konsumsi daya listrik yang terbesar, karena penggunaan berbagai jenis peralatan listrik yang digunakan di perumahan maupun di perindustrian . Kondisi ini dapat merugikan masyarakat yang menggunakan energi listrik dengan jumlah yang kecil . Metode pengukuran arus adalah salah satu solusi untuk memecahkan masalah tersebut. KiloWatt-Hour (KWH)  Meter Digital merupakan salah satu alat untuk mengukur besarnya energi  listrik pada peralatan rumah tangga. KWH meter dalam penelitian ini berfungsi sebagai digitalisasi data dari sinyal arus dan tegangan . Kedua sinyal tersebut dikonversi menjadi data digital untuk menghitung energi listrik menggunakan mikrokontroler . Hasil dari penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui konsumsi energi dan tagihan listrik dari setiap perangkat, sehingga tidak ada lagi keluhan mengenai besarnya tagihan pada konsumsi energi listrik di masa depan.

Abstract

According to the Basic Data of Directorate of Technical and Vocational Education that there are 18 vocational Computer Engineering and Networks in Palembang with consist of 2 state and 16 private schools. Utilization of the wireless network delivered in the training method that involves cognitive, affective and psychomotor aspects. The basic training taught basic computer network, especially related to wireless networks. These three aspects are evaluated through a pre test and post test. The results of pre and post test showed that 6.7% of the participants were not able to increase their knowledge about the wireless network while 93.3% are able.
