Abstract

The research was conducted in the production center of Aromatic rice pandan wangi West Java (District of Cianjur) in February-March 2009. The objectives of the study were to analyze the market structure and marketing channel of aromatic rice pandan wangi.  The figures used were primary and secondary data with descriptive analysis approach.  The result indicated that the marketing system of aromatic rice Pandan wangi build closely into a perfect competition market structure with the shortest marketing channel that involve thraser agent and distributor as the most efficient channel.

Abstract

This paper aims to analyze the sustainability of rice availability system at national level, based on sustainability index and status using a Rap-Rice Ordination Technique with Multidimensional Scaling (MDS) Method. This study used primary and secondary data. Result of the MDS analysis Rap-Rice ordinary technique showed that a sustainability index of rice availability system at national level was 64.51, which categorized as sustainable sufficient. Analysis for five dimensions (ecology, economy, socio-culture, institution and technology) showed that a sustainability index of national rice availability system for institution and technology dimensions were relatively high, 91.70 and 77.10, respectively, which felt into good category; the index for ecological and socio-cultural dimensions were 69.64 and 53.74, respectively, categorized as satisfactorily sustainable; and the index for economic dimension was 43.48 which categorized as less sustainable. Results of leverage analysis indicated that 23 out of 60 attributes were sensitivity influential to sustainability of rice availability system. Four attributes from economic dimension as priority to be managed were (1) real wage of farm labor, (2) number of farm households with land holding greater than 0.5 hectares, (3) number of farm labors, and (4) value of Regional GDP.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is for identifying market segment and customer behavior toward Islamic Banking and its marketing implications in all regions of DKI Jakarta. The research was conducted on August – October 2008 in East, West, North, South and Central of Jakarta. The survey was conducted by doing face to face interview and questionaires distribution to 120 proportional responden. The analytical tools applied are analysis of cluster, factor & descriptive and using SPSS version 11.5 as the statistic’s tool. The result of this research for segmentation aspect showed the characteristics and size of each market segment of Islamic banks. The market segment consists of syariah loyalist, floating mass and conventional loyalist. From this research, floating mass segment has been showed that this segment is the most potential segment among others in DKI Jakarta regions due to it has the largest target market compared to syariah loyalist and conventional loyalist segments. However responden with Islam as their religion are still priority target market for Islamic banks since floating mass responden have been collected from Islamic’s responden dominantly with employees and entrepreneurs as the occupations.  Further, market segment will be analyzed in relation with customers’ category, region of geography, religion and occupation. In customer behavior side, customers preferences and information resources toward Islamic banks will be the important factors which could influence customers behavior when choosing Islamic banks. The four factors influence customers in choosing Islamic banks are  building physical’s appearance, ATM network, variety of products and profit rate. Both results of market segmentation and consumer behavior toward Islamic Banking are important factors for Islamic Banking in formulating marketing strategy.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe purposes of this research were to analyze performance efficiency of catfish supply chain; and to formulate managerial implications of catfish supply chain in Indramayu. The performance efficiency analysis was conducted using DEA (Data Envelopment Analysis) which compared two similar organizations. This research compared supply chain performance among the members of farmers group with the members of Bandar farmer group. The managerial implication in this study was analyzed by GAP analysis. Input and output in this analysis were based on SCOR to showed supply chain performance. Based on the research, from 33 members of farmer group, there were 7 members of farmer group partner of CV Taman Lele Indramayu, while the other 26 farmers collaborated with six bandar in Puntang Village, Losarang, Indramayu. There were two members of farmer group who got 100 % performance efficiency, whereas only one member of Bandar farmer got 100%. In the other hand, the result of analysis in CV Taman Lele Indramayu compared with six bandars, showed that only two bandars did not get 100% performance efficiency which are bandar 4 and bandar 6. The conclusion from this research was supply chain performance of the members of farmer group were more efficient than supply chain performance of members of Bandar farmers. In the other hand, supply chain performance on the distributor level, which are companies and Bandar, were quite efficient. Therefore, to obtain 100% supply chain performance efficiency, the input decrease or output increase should be done by the farmers who have not reached 100% performance efficiency.Keywords: catfish, performance efficiency, supply chainABSTRAKPenelitian ini betujuan menganalisis efisiensi kinerja rantai pasok ikan lele, dan merumuskan implikasi manajerial rantai pasok ikan lele di Indramayu. Analisis efisiensi kinerja dianalisis dengan menggunakan Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) yang dapat membandingkan satu oganisasi dengan organisasi lain yang sejenis, yaitu dengan membandingkan kinerja saluran petani anggota kelompok tani–perusahaan dan petani anggota kelompok tani–bandar.  Sementara itu,  implikasi manajerial dianalisis dengan menggunakan GAP analisis. Input dan output yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berbasis pada SCOR (Supply Chain Operation Reference) yang melihat kinerja petani anggota kelompok tani. Hasil penelitian dari 33 petani anggota kelompok tani, tujuh diantaranya merupakan petani anggota kelompok tani mitra perusahaan CV Taman Lele Indramayu sedangkan 26 lainnya merupakan petani yang bermitra dengan enam bandar di Desa Puntang, Losarang, Indramayu. Terdapat dua orang petani anggota kelompok tani mitra perusahaan yang sudah memiliki efisiensi kinerja 100%, sedangkan pada petani anggota kelompok tani dari 26 petani hanya satu orang petani yang memiliki efisiensi kinerja 100%. Hasil analisis pada CV Taman Lele Indramayu yang dibandingkan dengan 6 bandar, diketahui bahwa terdapat dua bandar yang belum memiliki efisiensi kinerja 100%, yakni bandar 4 dan bandar 6. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa kinerja petani anggota kelompok tani mitra bandar masih belum cukup efisien jika dibandingkan dengan kinerja rantai pasok petani anggota kelompok tani perusahaan. Di lain pihak, kinerja rantai pasok ikan lele di tingkat penyalur yakni perusahaan dan bandar sudah cukup efisien. Oleh sebab itu, untuk mendapatkan efisiensi kinerja rantai pasok 100% maka perlu dilakukannya penurunan input atau peningkatan output pada kinerja petani ataupun bandar yang belum memiliki efisiensi kinerja 100%. Abstract

Income and Marketing Analyze for Organic Rice with System of Rice Intensification (SRI) Methode (a Case Study at Sukagalih Village, Sukaratu Sub-district, Tasikmalaya Regency. This research was aimed to analyze income and marketing of rice farming organic in Sukagalih Village, Sukaratu Sub Distric, Tasikmalaya. Qualitative and quantitative analyses were used as analytical methods. Qualitative analysis was done to discuss the structure and marketing chanel. Quantitative analyses were consists of farming profitability and R/C. Results of this research indicated that R/C to total costs of farming using System of Rice Intensification (SRI) method were higer than that of conventional rice farming, and R/C of farming operated by land owners were higer than that of tennant farmers. Result of marketing channels and market structure analyses showed that the marketing channel 4 (farmer, PPTD, PBLD, retailer and consumer) was the one that were more practiced compare to the other channels. Key words: Income analysis, marketing chanel, rice farming organic, SRI method.   Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pendapatan usahatani dan pemasaran padi organik di Desa Sukagalih, Kecamatan Sukaratu, Tasikmalaya. Pengolahan dan analisis data dilakukan secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif Analisis kualitatif dilakukan untuk mengetahui struktur pasar dan saluran pemasaran padi organik metode System of Rice Intensification (SRI). Analisis kuantitatif dilakukan dengan menggunakan analisis pendapatan usahatani dan analisis R/C. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa analisis R/C atas biaya total pada usahatani padi organik memiliki rasio lebih besar dibandingkan dengan R/C pada usahatani konvensional, dan R/C usahatani padi yang dilaksanakan petani pemilik penggarap lebih besar dibandingkan dengan rasio tersebut bagi petani penyakap. Berdasarkan analisis saluran dan struktur pasar, dapat disimpulkan bahwa saluran IV (Petani, Pedagang Pengumpul Tingkat Daerah, Pedagang Besar Luar Daerah, Pedagang Pengecer dan konsumen) merupakan saluran pemasaran yang paling banyak dilakukan dibandingkan saluran pemasaran yang lainnya. Kata kunci: Analisis pendapatan, saluran pemasaran, usahatani padi organik, metoda SRI.

Abstract

The aim of the research is to construct the planning of the desirable dietary based on potential area in sustainability food security development frame. This research was done on a survey research basis. The types of data consist of primary and secondary data. The Rapfish method was used for continuing analysis, whereas the Analysis Hierarchy Process (AHP) method was used to decide the strategy for sustainability food security management. The results of this research are: I) the sustainability index or scales value of ecology dimension falls into "good" category, the cultural-society dimension is in -fine" category and the economy dimension is included in "less" category. And (2) Management strategy in an attempt to achieve the sustainability of food security in Central Halmahera is low food price as the first priority, this is then followed by the increases of food production, farming incentive, friendl environmental in agriculture, eradication of poor society, and the improvement of human resource quality Key words: management strategy, food security, sustainability, Central Halmahera.   Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyusun perencanaan pangan harapan berbasis potensi wilayah dalam kerangk pembangunan ketahanan pangan berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian survey. Jenis data yank digunakan adalah data primer dan data sekunder. Untuk analisis keberlanjutan digunakan metode rapfish selanjutnya untuk menentukan strategi pengelolaan ketahanan pangan digunakan metode Analysis Hierarchy Proces (AHP). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Nilai indeks keberlanjutan dimensi ekologi termasuk kategori baik dimensi sosial-budaya termasuk kategori cukup dan dimensi ekonomi termasuk kategori kurang berkelanjutan pa skala sustainabilitas, 2) Strategi pengelolaan dalam upaya pencapaian ketahanan pangan berkelanjutan di Kabupaten Halmahera Tengah adalah harp pangan murah sebagai prioritas pertama, diikuti peningkatan produksi pangan insentif usahatani, pertanian ramah lingkune,an, pengentasan kemiskinan dan peningkatan kualitas SDM. Abstract

Abstract: RM Bebek Gendut is a special traditional restaurant that serves duck cookery. The intention of this research are to describe about characteristics of customer, to analyse the process of customer desicion making, and also to analyse the importance and performance of product and service atrribute. In majority, customers in RM Bebek Gendut are coming from Bogor City, women, about 21 to 30 years old, haven’t married yet, their final formal education are at senior high school, work as college student, and their own monthly earning are about Rp 1.000.000 to Rp 1.999.999. Based on the result of Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) calculation, the customer satisfaction index is 75,05% which categorized as satisfied. Based on the result of Importance and Performance Analysis (IPA), there is an attribute that have to be focused and repaired that is waitress hospitality and courtesy.  keywords: customer characteristics, customer satisfaction, duck, RM Bebek Gendut

Abstract

Kakao merupakan komoditas yang sangat penting bagi Indonesia sebagai salah satu negara eksportir utama kakao  dalam perdagangan internasional. Pasar kakao dunia masih memiliki potensi sangat tinggi, yang ditunjukkan oleh peningkatan konsumsi sehingga Indonesia diharapkan mampu meraih peluang pasar yang ada. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis kinerja dan daya saing perdagangan biji kakao dan produk-produk kakao olahan Indonesia di pasar internasional. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data sekunder. Untuk mengukur daya saing produk kakao Indonesia menggunakan Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA), Indeks Spesialisasi Perdagangan (ISP), Export Product Dynamics (EPD), dan Constant Market Share Analysis (CMSA). Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa Indonesia mengalami surplus dalam perdagangan kakao, yang ditunjukkan oleh tren yang meningkat dalam beberapa tahun terakhir. Indonesia juga memiliki keunggulan komparatif sebagai eksportir biji kakao dan kakao olahan di pasar internasional. Hasil analisis EPD dan CMSA, terdapat sedikit perbedaan. Analisis EPD hampir semua produk kakao memiliki daya saing, sedangkan analisis CMSA menunjukkan produk-produk kakao yang memiliki daya saing adalah produk-produk kakao olahan. Untuk itu, dalam upaya meningkatkan daya saing produk kakao, baik dalam bentuk biji maupun produk olahan, diperlukan upaya peningkatan kualitas biji kakao dan pengembangan industri hilir. Analysis of performance and competitiveness of Indonesian cocoa and its intermediate products in the international marketABTRACT Cocoa is an important commodity for Indonesia, known as the third largest producing countries after Ivory Coast and Ghana. In the world market, the cocoa likely possesses high potency indicated by its consumption increasing steadily from year to year. It therefore enables Indonesia to play an important role and reach the chance. This study aims to analysis the performance and competitiveness of Indonesian cocoa bean and its intermediate products in the international market. Data used in this study were secondary on which competitive measures such as Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA), Trade Specialization Index (TSI), Export Product Dynamics (EPD), and Constant Market Share Analysis (CMSA) were approached. Results showed that the country has surplus in trade performance of cocoa bean indicated by its positive trend recently.  As the main exporting country, Indonesian cocoa has comparative advantage, both in form of cocoa bean and its intermediate products. Based on EPD analysis, almost all cocoa products have competitive advantage. While that of CMS analysis, the intermediate products have a higher competitive advantage than the cocoa bean. To improve competitiveness of the products, it needs to develop downstream industry, and some efforts to improve cocoa bean quality.

Abstract

Indonesia merupakan salah satu produsen biji kakao terbesar di dunia, namun produksi kakao olahan masih sangat rendah dan industri hilir tidak berkembang. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh pencapaian kebijakan gernas dan penerapan bea ekspor kakao terhadap kinerja industri hilir dan penerimaan petani kakao. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data sekunder dan dianalisis dengan pendekatan dinamika sistem. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa pada kondisi aktual kemampuan industri pengolahan kakao dalam menyerap produksi kakao selama periode analisis (2008-2025) mengalami tren yang menurun. Demikian juga dengan pangsa volume dan nilai ekspor produk kakao olahan serta penerimaan petani. Kebijakan gernas kakao dan penetapan bea ekspor kakao secara simultan mampu meningkatkan kemampuan industri pengolahan dalam menyerap produksi biji kakao domestik. Kebijakan tersebut juga mampu meningkatkan pangsa volume dan nilai ekspor kakao olahan. Namun, kebijakan tersebut hanya mampu mengangkat penerimaan petani yang mengikuti program gernas kakao, sedangkan petani yang tidak mengikuti program gernas memiliki tingkat penerimaan yang lebih rendah dibandingkan kondisi aktual. Dengan demikian kebijakan gernas kakao dan bea ekspor lebih cenderung berdampak positif terhadap industri pengolahan, namun berdampak negatif kepada petani yang tidak terlibat dalam program gernas kakao.  The Impact of Export Tax Policy and Cocoa “Gernas” Program Achievement to Cocoa Downstream Industry Performance and Farmers’ Revenue (A System Dynamic Approach)ABSTRACT Indonesia is one of main producing countries of cocoa in the world. Most products yielded is however in form of processed cocoa due to the cocoa processing industries are not developed well. The objectives of this study was to analyze the impact of “Gernas” (National action) and export tax policy on cocoa downstream industry performance and farmers revenue. This study used secondary data and system dynamic approach. The analysis showed that the actual conditions of the cocoa processing industrys ability to absorb production of cocoa bean during period of 2008-2025 has been in declining trend, as well as share of processed cocoa export and farmers revenue. Applying of gernas and export tax policy scenario simultaniously was able to increase the ability of processing industry to absorb domestic production of cocoa beans and the share of processed cocoa export. However, the policies are only able to raise the revenue of farmers who join the “Gernas” policy, while the farmers who do not follow the program, have lower revenue than the actual conditions. As a whole, the policies tend to give positive impact for processing industry of coca bean, but not for those farmers who do not follow the programs

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to analyses the rice farming income and the rice marketing system in Karawang district. Primary data were collected in this research involved  34 paddy farmers in Karawang and 12 rice traders and secondary data that is relevant to the research were collected.  The analysis of rice farming was conducted for the first growing season of 2011. Most of rice farmers are the selfowner with an area of ​​between 1 to 5 acres. The selling price of unhusked rice crop received by farmers ranged between Rp 2.200,00 to Rp 3.800,00 with an average of Rp 2.720,54. Value of R / C ratio is 1.50 based on total cost. The actors in rice marketing are paddy farmers, local rice mill, sub-district’s and Cipinang’s market wholesaler and retailer.   The biggest margin obtained by the local rice mill.  The biggest farmer’s share found at the market flows from farmer à sub-district wholesaler à Karawang retailer.  The biggest benefit cost ratio of marketing found at market flow from farmers à local rice mill à Cipinang wholesaler à Jabodetabek’s retailer.  The market structure at farmer level is nearly perfect, however at the other level (rice mill, wholesaler and retailer) the market structure is oligopoly and oligopsony.  The selling price of grain has a significant impact on farmers income, so the role of the Government is expected to overcome this, such as by optimizing the role of the “Lumbung Desa Modern” (LDM), which is the existence still not optimal yet.
