Abstract

This paper is concerned with the prediction of impact load from a hard body object and response of the target structure. Two approaches in predicting the magnitude and duration of impact loading, namely half-space approach and interaction approach, were studied in this paper. This study showed that load and structure response from both approaches were very different. Abstract

Penggunaan model lebar efektif balok untuk menganalisis struktur flat-plate yang dikenai beban lateral sudah sering dilakukan. Namun demikian, sampai saat ini model tersebut masih terbatas penggunaannya pada model-model struktur 2 dimensi. Analisis ini memperluas penggunaan model grid ekuivalen untuk menganalisis struktur secara 3 dimensi. Lebar efektif grid dianalisis secara empirik berdasarkan hasil eksperimen. Abstract

Separated Highway Casablanca Package is located at Kuningan, Jakarta. This separated highways is designed using prestressed concrete box girder construction. The method of execution isused by balance cantilever with precast box girder. The tools is used in the work of box girder is launcher gantry. Total spans on the separated highways are 1175 m, which is divided into 24 spans. This separated highways has seven piers. Design of this package began of planning do the pre-dimension on top of the structure and dimensional on this separated highways have the same dimensions. The next stage is analyzing loads incurred. Load analysis is used, the weight of its own, additional dead load, traffic load, wind load, and earthquake load. From the results of this analysis is then performed structural analysis with the program SAP2000. From the analysis of the structure be able to calculated loss of prestressing force, needs of tendon, and reinforcement of box girder. After that, then do the below structural design by the initial step planning a dimension of the pier. In pier use reinforcement ratio is 1,33 times of minimum reinforcement required by analysis. The final stage in the planning of this package is foundation of pier calculations. Calculation bore pile using Broms method for calculating moments received by the bore pile. Results from these calculations obtained bore pile reinforcement ratio is 0,75%.

Abstract

In case of building structure plan, analyzing of earthquake effect is important. Especially for building which located in big earthquake zones. Indonesian isles are situated on major earthquake zones. That’s why the good planning are needed to manage earthquake risk to avoid big accident. On this final paper, the building are planned with Sway Special Design System. That based on SNI 03-2847-2002 and SNI 1726-2010.  “Strong Column Weak Beam” concept is used for the building. The planning of structure are consist of 14 levels and 2 basements which located in 3rd earthquake zone. We expected that Sway Special Design System can be good applicated and useful for all of people on building plan which located in major earthquake zone.

Abstract

Design of highrise building includes design of structure elements such as floor slabs, stairs, beam-column frames and foundations to withstand all working loads. Therefore, an engineer should select the most appropriate structural system such as fully elastic, partially ductile or fully ductile. The structure of Horison Hotel Pekalongan is designed to apply Special Moment Resisting Frame System (SRPMK) based on Indonesia building codes and standard. The structure analysis was conducted using ETABS v.9.7.1 software. The seismic analysis using the response spectrum dynamic analysis obtained the value of maximum vibration period of 1.74 seconds and design seismic force (V) = 344.18 ton. The internal forces calculated from ETABS v.9.7.1 were used to determine the amount of reinforcement required by the structure. Results obtained from the design show that Special Moment Resisting Frame System (SRPMK) used in Horison Hotel Pekalongan is capable of supporting all working loads considered in the analysis.

Abstract

It is well known that compressive strength of concrete is affected by the strength of the constituent materials and the strength of interfacial transition zone (ITZ). This research aimed at investigating the influence of the addition of resin on coarse aggregates on the strength of concrete. The resin investigated in this research was unsaturated polyester resin. The resin was combined with methanol with different composition of 1:0; 1:0.25; 1:0.5; and 1:1. The tests conducted in this investigation were pull off test, shear test and compression test. Test results show that all specimens with resin exhibit lower strength values compared to specimens with no resin. The compressive strength of concrete silinders with resin coated aggregates were obtained to be 16.26 MPa and 3.14 MPa, while the compressive strength of normal concrete ( with no resin) was 29.99 MPa.

Abstract

This research aimed at investigating the effect of glass thickness on the strength of annealed glass panels. The research was conducted using both experimental tests and numerical simulations. The experimental tests were conducted using the double ring method, while the numerical simulations were carried out using Finite Element Method (FEM). Numerical simulations were conducted first to determine efficient meshing, dimension of the specimen, and the equipment capacity. The number of specimens were 400 with the same width and length of 200 mm x 200 mm. The thickness of which were varied from 3 mm up to 10 mm. The test results were maximum load and fracture origin. Both of these results were used to calculate the strength of the glass that was expressed as failure stress at the location of fracture origin. The failure stress scattered in a wide range, hence statistical analysis was required to analyze the glass strength. From the analysis, it can be seen that the strength of glass was affected by its thickness. Some graphs have been created to show the allowable pressure that can be resisted by certain dimension of glass panels.

Abstract

The office building in this Final Project was designed to comply with Special Moment Resisting Frame System (SMRFS). The Special Moment Resisting Frame System (SMRFS) was chosen to enable the building to behave in ductile manner. This because ductile structures can disipate large amount of energy when subject to earthquake loading. The system was design to apply the concept of strong column weak beam, where the vertical elements of the structure (column) should be made stronger than the horizontal elements of the structure (beam), so that plastic joints occur on beam ends. Moreover, the beam-column joint connections were designed to avoid collapse in joints.

Abstract

The construction of Lemah Gempal Bridge in Semarang is aimed at providing alternative access to reduce traffic congestion around Siliwangi street and Kaligarang street. The construction of this road is to connect lemah Gempal and Simongan area in west semarang. The writer desained Lemah Gempal steel truss  bridge which spans 80 meters length accross banjir kanal river. This bridge consists of two spans, each span has 40 meters length. The bridge has  one pillar and two abutment. The  width of the bridge is 9 meters and divided into 2 lane. Each lanes  is 3,5 meters width. There are trotoars of I meter length on each side of  the lane.
