Abstract

This research is subjected to analyze: 1) the interaction between the cooperative learning and level of learning motivation on the development of students’ achievement in learning mathematics; 2) the difference between the development of students’ achievement in learning mathematics through TPS cooperative learning and STAD cooperative learning; 3) the difference between the development of students’ achievement in learning mathematics through TPS cooperative learning and through STAD cooperative learning on the high student’s motivaton; 4 ) the difference between the development of students’ achievement in learning mathematics through TPS cooperative learning and through STAD cooperative learning on the low student’s motivation. The method used in the research is experiment with a balanced design and use factorial planning 2X2. The study population was all of students in grade XI IPS, amounting to 4 classes. Sampling is the purposive sampling : XI IPS A and XI IPS B. The instruments in this research are questionnaire and test. The writer uses the two-line-ANOVA and the T-Test to analyze the data. The result shows that: 1) there is an interaction between the cooperative learning and students’ learning motivation towards the development of students’ achievement; 2) the average of the development of the students’ achievement in learning mathematics through TPS cooperative learning is higher than that though STAD cooperative learning; 3) the average of the development of the students’ achievement in learning mathematics through TPS cooperative learning on the high learning motivation is higher than that through STAD cooperative learning; 4) the average of the development of the students’ achievement in learning mathematics through TPS cooperative learning on the low learning motivation is lower than that through STAD cooperative learning.Key words: Learning Motivation, cooperative learning, and the development of the students achievement.

Abstract

In the learning process, students are required to be active and master the materials which are explained by the teacher. But in fact, the activities and learning outcomes of students of VIII-C class of SMPN 1 Abung Barat Ogan Lima  Lampung Utara were still low. This study aimed to increase the activities and mathematics learning outcomes of students of VIII-C class of SMPN 1 Abung Barat Ogan Lima Lampung Utara in academic year of 2013/2014 by cooperative learning model of NHT type. The study was conducted into three cycles. Each cycle consists of the planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The conclusion of this study was the implementation of cooperative learning model of NHT type could increase the activities and learning outcomes of  mathematics of students of VIII-C class of SMPN 1 Abung Barat Ogan Lima Lampung Utara in academic year of 2013/2014.Dalam proses pembelajaran, siswa dituntut aktif dan menguasai materi yang dijelaskan oleh guru. Namun kenyataannya, aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII-C SMPN 1 Abung Barat Ogan Lima Lampung Utara masih rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas VIII-C SMPN 1 Abung Barat Ogan Lima Lampung Utara tahun pelajaran 2013/2014 melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT. Penelitian dilakukan dalam tiga siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah penerapan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT dapat meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar matematika pada siswa kelas VIII-C SMPN 1 Abung Barat Ogan Lima Lampung Utara tahun pelajaran 2013/2014.Kata kunci: aktivitas, hasil belajar, NHT

Abstract

This quasi experimental research aimed to know the influence of cooperative learning model of group investigation type towards student’s conceptual understanding of mathematics. The research design was post-test only control design. The population was students of grade 8th in second semester of SMP Negeri 1 Labuhan Ratu in the academic year 2012/2013 that excluding in the special class. Samples were students of VIII.3 class as experiment class and VIII.2 class as control class that was determined by purposive sampling technique. The data of student’s conceptual understanding of mathematics was taken by test. Data analysis used Mann-Withney test. Based on data analysis, student’s conceptual understanding of mathematics by cooperative learning model of group investigation type was higher than conventional those of learning. So, it was concluded that cooperative learning model of group investigation type influences student’s conceptual understanding of mathematics.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe group investigation terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa.  Desain penelitian adalah post-test only control design.  Popu­la­si penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII semester genap SMP Negeri 1 Labuhan Ratu tahun pelaja­ran 2012/2013 yang tidak termasuk dalam kelas unggulan.  Sampel pene­litian adalah siswa kelas VIII.3 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII.2 sebagai kelas kontrol yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling.  Data pemahaman konsep matematis diperoleh melalui tes.  Analisis data menggu­na­­kan uji Mann-Whitney.  Berdasarkan hasil anali­si­s data, diper­oleh bahwa pemahaman konsep ma­t­ematis siswa pada pembelajaran koope­ra­tif tipe group investigation lebih tinggi daripada pemahaman konsep matematis siswa pada pembelajaran konvensional.  Dengan demikian, disimpulkan bahwa m­­o­del pembelajaran kooperatif tipe group investigation berpengaruh terha­dap pema­haman konsep matematis siswa.Kata kunci: model kooperatif tipe group investigation, pemahaman konsep mate­ma­tis, pengaruh

Abstract

This quasi experimental research aimed to know the influence of cooperative learning model type of student teams achievement division (STAD) towards student’s mathematical conceptual understanding  The design research was post-test only control group design. The population of this research was eighth grade students in even semester of Junior High School State I Kotabumi in academic year 2012/2013.  The samples of this research were students of VIII D and VIII I class that obtained by purposive sampling. The collecting data technique was using test.  Based on result of research, obtained that the average of value of student’s mathematical conceptual understanding using cooperative learning model of STAD type is greater than using conventional learning. Thus, cooperative learning model of STAD type have influence of towards student’s mathematical conceptual understanding of  eighth grade students in even semester of Junior High School State I Kotabumi in academic year 2012/2013.Penelitian quasi eksperimen ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Desain penelitian ini adalah post-test only control group design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII semester genap SMP Negeri 1 Kotabumi tahun pelajaran 2012/2013. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII D dan VIII I yang diperoleh dengan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diketahui bahwa rata-rata nilai pemahaman konsep matematis siswa dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD lebih besar dibandingkan pembelajaran konvensional. Abstract

This quasi experimental study aimed to analyze the effect of the implementation of cooperative learning model of think pair share type towards student’s conceptual understanding of mathematics. The population in this study was all grade eight students in second semester of SMP Negeri 1 Terbanggi Besar in academic year 2012/2013 as many as 210 students that distributed into 6 classes. The sampling in this study used purposive sampling technique so it obtained 2 classes that were VIIIB and VIIIC. The design used in this study was posttest only design. Based on the analysis of data, it found that the student’s conceptual understanding of mathematics by cooperative learning model of think pair share type was better than student’s conceptual understanding of mathematics by conventional learning. Thus, it could be concluded that there was an influence of cooperative learning model of think pair share type towards student’s conceptual understanding of mathematics.Penelitian ini merupakan eksperimen semu yang bertujuan untuk me­nganalisis pengaruh penerapan model pem­belajar­an kooperatif tipe think pair share terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII semester genap SMP Negeri 1 Terbanggi Besar Tahun Pelajaran 2012/2013 sebanyak 210 siswa yang terdistribusi dalam 6 kelas.  Pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini meng­gunakan teknik purposive sampling sehingga terpilih 2 kelas yaitu VIIIB dan VIIIC.  Desain yang diguna­kan dalam penelitian ini adalah post-test only design.  Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, diperoleh bahwa pemahaman konsep ma­tematis siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran koope­ra­tif tipe think pair share lebih baik dari pemahaman konsep matematis siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran konvensio­nal. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpul­kan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penerapan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think pair share ter­hadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa.Kata kunci: pemahaman konsep mate­ma­tis, pengaruh, think pair share

Abstract

This quasi experimental research aims for knowing the effectiveness of learning model of TSTS in increasing student’s mathematical conceptual understanding.  This research uses pre-test and post-test control group design. Research population was all of tenth grade student in computer network class of SMKN 1 Bandar Lampung 2012/2013. The sample is students X TKJ1 and X TKJ2 which selected from six classes by cluster random sampling.  Based on data hypothesis test, it is found that gain of students mathematical conceptual understanding in learning model of TSTS is higher than conventional learning. The conclusion is learning model of TSTS is effective in increasing students mathematical conceptual understanding.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan model pembelajaran kooperatif TSTS dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa.  Desain penelitian ini adalah pre-test and post-test control group design dengan populasi  penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas X semester genap SMK Negeri 1 Bandar Lampung tahun pelajaran 2012/2013.  Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas TKJ1 dan TKJ2 yang dipilih dari tujuh kelas menggunakan tehnik cluster random sampling.  Berdasarkan pengujian hipotesis, diperoleh bahwa gain pemahaman konsep matematis siswa yang menggunakan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TSTS lebih dari gain pemahaman konsep yang menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional.  Kesimpulan yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini adalah model pembelajaran TSTS efektif diterapkan dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa.Kata kunci: efektivitas, model pembelajaran TSTS, pemahaman konsep matematis

Abstract

This quasi experimental study aimed to determine the influence of cooperative learning model of Think Pair Share type towards students understanding of mathematical concepts. Posttest only control design was used in this study. The population of this study was all students of grade IX SMPN 3 Terbanggi Besar in academic year 2013/2014. The samples of this study were students of IX-C and IX-E class which taken by purposive sampling.The data of study was obtained by test of understanding of mathematical concepts. Based on the result of data analysis using t-test, it can be concluded that the cooperative learning model of Think Pair Share type influenced students mathematical conceptual understanding of students of grade IX of SMPN 3 Terbanggi Besar in academic year 2013/2014.Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran think pair share terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah posttest only control design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 3 Terbanggi Besar tahun pelajaran 2013/2014. Abstract

This was a quasi-experimental research that aimed to know the influence of cooperative learning model of TPS type towards student’s mathematical communication skills of SMP. This research used a posttest only control design with the population was  grade seven students of Junior High School state Muhammadiyah 3 of Bandar Lampung in academic year of 2012/2013, which distributed into four classes unseeded. The samples were taken by purposive sampling technique. The analysis of the data used two similarity test average. Based on the results of hypothesis test, it was concluded that generally, the mathematical communication skills of students who taught by cooperative learning model of TPS type better than mathematical communication skills of students who taught by conventional  learning.Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa SMP. Desain penelitian ini adalah post-test only control design dengan populasi seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Bandarlampung tahun pelajaran 2012/2013, yang terdistribusi dalam empat kelas yang bukan unggulan. Sampel diambil menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Analisis data menggunakan uji kesamaan dua rata-rata.  Berdasarkan analisis data, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa secara umum kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang diajarkan dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS lebih baik daripada kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang diajar dengan pembelajaran  konvensional.Kata kunci: kemampuan komunikasi matematis, model pembelajaran kooperatif, think pair share

Abstract

The design which was used in this research was pretest posttest control group design. The population was all students of grade 7th of SMPN 21 Bandarlampung in academic year of 2013/2014 that was distributed into eleven classes. The samples were students of VIIA and VIIC class which were taken by cluster random sampling technique. The research data were obtained by the test of mathematical communication skill and belief scale. The conclusion of this research was the cooperative learning model of numbered heads together type affect the student’s mathematical communication skill and belief.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan belief siswa. Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pretest posttest control group design. Populasi adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMPN 21 Bandarlampung tahun pelajaran 2013/2014 yang terdistribusi dalam sebelas kelas. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIIA dan VIIC yang diambil dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan skala belief.
