Abstract

The Ipteks programs are based on several factors that can affect the success of fish culture in milkfish and shrimp ponds is the availability of pond water quality is suitable for fish life fish and shrimp. In the intensification of efforts, one of the decisive parameters in improving pond water quality is to regulate the provision of oxygen content in water and fish feeding an orderly and proper dosage. Dissolved oxygen is very important for respiration and is one of the main components in the metabolism of fish and shrimp and other aquatic organizations. In addition, the system of fish feeding on fish and shrimp have been still using the traditional system, are fish/shrimp given to spread as much as 2-3 times a day. This system has several shortcomings, namely: the amount of feed given was not uniform, the feed is not spread evenly, and farmers have the pond every day. With the feed spreader tool has been developed as a tool in addition to the feed as well as spreader aerator tool that can provide aeration to the waters surface, then we can overcome the above problems with the feeding arrangement, which automatically threw food on time and the desired dose, and the continuously rotating wheel aerator will provide a spark against the surface of the water so the fish will be closer to get a new oxygen.

Abstract

Tujuan yang ingin diperoleh pada penelitian ini adalah membuat mesin yang dapat meniriskan bawang goreng yang telah dilakukan proses penggorengan untuk dijadikan produk tambahan pada masakan saji. Pembuatan mesin peniris bawang goreng ini dilakukan dengan beberapa tahapan, yaitu: (1) perancangan dalam bentuk desain gambar dan ukuran; (2) persiapan alat dan bahan yang akan digunakan (3) pembuatan mesin peniris bawang goreng dengan menggunakan mesin las listrik, mesin gergaji, mesin bubut, mesin frais, dan mesin bor; (4) melakukan uji coba dan pengujian kuantitas dan kapasitas (5) melakukan pengujian kualitas bawang goreng yang dihasilkan yang dibandingkan dengan bawang goreng yang ada di pasaran. Berdasarkan hasil pembuatan dan pengujian yang telah dilakukan, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa mesin peniris bawang goreng dapat memproduksi (13,912 kg/jam) 12 kali lebih banyak dibandingkan dengan menggunakan media kertas koran (1,02 kg/jam), sedangkan kualitas yang dihasilkan menunjukkan bahwa kadar minyak bawang goreng yang dihasilkan (19%) lebih sedikit dibandingkan dengan bawang goreng di pasaran (23%).

Abstract

Tujuan yang ingin diperoleh pada penelitian ini adalah membuat produk berupa benda kerja yang dapat dijadikan sebagai obyek pengukuran dalam praktek penukuran dimensi. Sedangkan manfaat yang akan diperoleh dengan adanya produk benda ukur ini adalah menambah variasi pengukuran dimensi suatu benda kerja, sehingga mahasiswa dapat melakukan pengukuran dengan teliti dalam berbagai obyek. Pembuatan produk benda ukur ini dilakukan dengan beberapa tahapan, yaitu: (1) pemilihan bahan produk benda ukur yang tidak mudah berkarat; (2) pengujian bahan untuk mengetahui kekuatan bahan dengan uji kekerasan; (3) pembuatan produk benda ukur pada mesin-mesin perkakas, seperti: mesin gergaji, mesin bubut, mesin frais, dan mesin gerinda; (4) melakukan proses perlakuan panas (heat treatment) pada produk benda ukur agar memenuhi standar bahan sebagai alat Bantu; (5) Melakukan proses pengukuran untuk mengetahui ukuran dari produk benda ukur yang telah dibuat. Berdasarkan hasil pembuatan yang telah dilakukan, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa Produk benda ukur yang dihasilkan dapat digunakan untuk berbagai macam variasi pengukuran dengan menggunakan beberapa alat ukur seperti mistar ingsut skala nonius dan skala dial caliver, mikrometer, dan bevel protector.

Abstract

This paper proposed a new algorithm for fault location and classification using wavelet based on Clarke?s transformation to obtain the fault current. This novel method of fault current approach is studied by comparing the use of the glide path of the fault voltage. The current alpha and beta (Current Mode) were used to transform the signal using discrete wavelet transform (DWT). The fault location was determined by using the Clarke?s transformation, and then turned into a wavelet, which was very precise and thorough. The most accurate was the mother wavelet Db4 which had the fastest time and smallest error detection when compared with the other wavelet mothers. In this study, the Clarke?s transformation is also compared with the Karenbauer?s, which has produced results with similar error percentage. The simulation results using PSCAD / EMTDC software showed that the proposed algorithm could distinguish internal and external faults to get the current signal in the transformation of a signal fault.

Abstract

Environmental pollution (pollutants) can be caused by natural events or human care through uncontrolled industrial and technological activities, this can be a threat to living things including humans in the future. This phenomenon is caused by the entry of particles or chemical substances that do not exist in the natural component so that it exceeds the amount that should be. Pollution is the inclusion of substances, energy and aliens into the environment so that the quality of the environment decreases and no longer suitable allocation. Efforts to reduce or control environmental pollution that some environmental scientists and practitioners have done in a better way by the structures produced by various industries and technologies that are seen as backbones. The research installation can provide detailed information about the shape and structure of the current in the pipe (analogized as the exhaust) in the direction and the vertical velocity to air will be inhaled by the fluid of the liquid (air) as motive fluid in the opposite direction. The suction strength of the liquid against the airflow is greatly determined by the vacuum pressure in the chamber because of the effect of the working ejector that is geometrically formed so that the image can be adjusted to that achievement. The parameters used to measure performance in the design of this air-contaminating air-conditioning installation plant are composed of several variables in the ratio of changes between air velocity and liquid flow in opposite directions, vacuum compressions are formed large enough, the fluid flow capacity of the ejector, revascular and the ability to transform gas pollutants into liquid pollutants.

Abstract

This paper aims to optimize the machinedsurface as well as to study the effect of current strength andwire speed on wire cut machining on AISI 1045 steel againstthe timing of roughness of straight gear surface. The surfaceresults analyzed are the surface roughness values obtained byconducting surface roughness testing. Variations of currentused are 3 amperes, 5 amperes, and 7 amperes, while the wirespeed used is 8mm / min, 10 mm, min, and 12 mm / min. In theprocess of wire cut machining is used a brass cutting materialwith 0.25 mm wire diameter. The results showed that thegreater the current and wire speed used then the surfaceroughness value will be lower, otherwise the smaller currentand wire speed used then the surface roughness value will behigher. The results of data analysis using ANOVA analysis,correlation, and regression method obtained optimal conditionto get low surface roughness value and fast cut time that is at 7amperes current with wire speed 8 mm / min.

Abstract

Abstract—Austenitic stainless steel AISI 316L has been widely used for orthopedic implants due to its mechanical properties, corrosion resistance and biocompatibility. Machining of austenitic stainless steel are often regarded as 'difficult to machine' and classed a single group of steels, based on experience with the most common austenitic types. This paper presents a methodology for practical calculation of power demand based on cutting force that will be compared with experimental results especially turning process. Based on a previously proposed definition, the power demand in metal cutting is the energy required cutting. This paper provides a complete list of mathematical expressions needed for the calculation of power demand and demonstrates their utility for turning operation of austenitic stainless steel using coated and uncoated carbide.

Abstract

Maintenance for machining and production facility is an important aspect to ensure a smooth production process. During this time, it was performed regular maintenance based on technical advice from supplier’s engines which just shows things in general without considering the actual operating conditions. This paper aims to plan the maintenance strategies for the Finish Mill unit based on reliability analysis by considering the target system reliability and cost of improving reliability. The data distribution obtained the most appropriate distribution. Based on the data obtained distribution parameters, then the function of the reliability of each part an be determined so that the value of the reliability of each part and the overall system for a specific time period can be calculated. The results showed that the failure or breakdown Mill Finish Unit was majority caused by the part of 561.BM1, 531.WF1, 531.BC6, 531.BC2, 531.BC1, 561.SR1 and 531.BC3. it means that need to focus o the reliability analysis to allocate their parts.

Abstract

Nowadays lots of material is produced to increase there-mineralization of tooth enamel. The eggshells are one ofmaterials that can also increase the re-mineralization of toothenamel. Eggshells are one of calcium carbonate sources with levelsof 95%. The egg produces waste in the form of eggshells. One ofthe alternatives in tackling the eggshells is to turn it into a calciumcompound. It is the main ingredient of bones and enamel tooth.This paper is proposed to investigate the effect of recurrent heatingon mechanical properties of artificial teeth. This review wasdescribed some study experimental that was performed to heat thespecimen with 20oC, 40oC, 100oC, and 120oC. The heating result ofspecimen was observed to determine the hardness using Brinneland Vickers scale. It was concluded that the higher of heatingtemperature will decrease the hardness of denture base acrylic.

Abstract

Nowadays, the metal forming process in the welding machinery and machinery industry is developing very rapidly, especially in the bending process. The buckling process is a metal formation which generally uses sheet plates or rods from both ferrous and non-ferrous metals by bending, which in the bending process will cause a stretching or stretching on the neutral axis of the field along the bending area and producing a straight bending line. Appropriate technology machines have been widely used to increase productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness in the production process for community efforts. One of the appropriate technologies that can be applied in buckling is a tool equipped with a press tool. Press tool is one type of tool for the formation, cutting and bending of products from the base material of sheet plates whose operation uses a press machine. In this study, a V brake bending tool has been produced which has a capacity that is bending line length 300 mm, bending width 33 mm, spring height 110 mm, free step distance 19 mm, spring load received 263,820 N and material capacity that can be bent is a thickness of 3 mm, the punch angle used is 85? with a punch radius used which is 1.5 mm while the die angle is 85?
