Abstract

Indonesia has a lot of mining material of iron ore that could be used for various purposes in the steel industry or for pigment manufacturing. This research, has synthesized the Hematite (α-Fe2O3) pigment manufacture through a precipitation mechanism. The iron ore powder is mixed with HCl and NH4OH, then it is dried at a temperature of 150oC and calcinated at a temperature of 500oC and 800oC for knowing the formation temperature of  α-Fe2O3 crystal’s structure. Next, the synthesis results are characterized with XRD at 2θ from 10o to 80o with a sampling pitch of 0,02o. Synthesis results show that the raw material has a lattice parameter values a = b = 5,017 Ǻ and c = 13,652 Ǻ after purifying, the values of lattice parameter become a = b = 5,030 Ǻ and c = 13,739 Ǻ which appropriate with standard of ICDD No. 33-0664. The crystallite size is at range of 40 nm while the lattice strain at 1,700 x 10-4 to 3,500 x 10-4. The results of the color test indicate calcination value L * a * b * = 28,36, 27,86, 30,24 at temperature of 500oC where as at 800oC of the calcination temperature obtain values L * a * b * = 20,47, 22,42, 18,17.Keywords: iron ore, pigments, α-Fe2O3, precipitation

Abstract

Purpose this research to help district Indragiri Hilir Riau Province to arrange development strategy area of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) banana Chips, so that they can increase income civil society there with using benefit of their superior commodity area and another area doesnt have it. The resource of information in this research using interviews and observation method and to arranging development strategy analysis we use the SWOT analysis-24 k it was development from SWOT analysis-4 k, it have function to clearly business position and using it as competitive strategy for creating and formulate development strategy. Result of this research showed that strategy development of MSMEs banana chips district Indragiri Hilir is turnaround strategy with using government fund and making program national banana chips event

Abstract

Background this research began by observing growth and rising insurance company in Pekanbaru city with many company insurance had been built in Pekanbaru city since 2014, therefore rivalry can’t avoid and each company also create and arrange tactic and strategy in order to be winner from this competition.  BPJS Ketenagakerjaan is new entry from this insurance industry in Pekanbaru city and BJPS Ketenagakerjaan owned by government Indonesia. Aim this research to arrange and determine how BPJS Ketenagakerjaan growth and compete in insurance industry Pekanbaru city. This research use descriptive method with several step to create strategy there are Five Force Porter, IFA, EFA, Matric GE, SWOT-8K, Matric TWOS and Matric QSPM. Result this research showed the strategy Position of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan in quadrant IB (Growth) and BPJS Ketenagakerjaan can use for growth and compete using Competitive Strategy and Growth strategy

Abstract

Pemetaan sebaran lamun di perairan Tanjung Kramat dan Torosiaji di Teluk Tomini Provinsi Gorontalo telah dilakukan pada bulan juli 2005. Peta tentang sebaran lamun merupakan informasi dasar dalam pengelolaan lamun d wilayah ini. Posisi sebaran lamun dilakukan dengan menentukan koordinat titik-titik terluar dari padang lamun menggunakan alat Geographic Positioning System (GPS). Data yang diperoleh dikonversi ke dalam decimal degree untuk digambarkan dalam bentuk peta dengan bantuan perangkat lunak Surfer versi 07. Jenis lamun di perairan Tanjung Kramat terdiri dari Thalassemia hemprichii, Halophila minor dan Syringodium isoetifolium, di Perairan Torosiaji di susun oleh Enhalus acoroides, Thalassemia hemorichii, Halodule uninervis dan Cymodoceae rotundata.

Abstract

Visibility of multivilament with the white, red, yellow and blue color wasobserved in the waters by underwater digital camera (Canon G11). Themultifilament 10 mm in diameter was tied at wire frame (1 x 1 m). The wire framewas shot in 1-5 meter water depth with the distance 0.5-2 meter by underwaterdigital camera. The underwater photograph result show that the visibility distancesof red and blue multifilament was 1 meter. However, the visibility distance ofwhite and yellow multifilament was 1.5 meters. Furthermore, the effect ofenvironment factors on the visibility distance of multifilament and monofilamentwere discussed in this paper.Keywords: Color, fishing gear, multifilament, visibility

Abstract

Lingkungan eksternal terus berubah sehingga berdampak terhadap lingkungan industri, pada saat ini organisasi tidak bisa lepas dari dampak perubahaan tersebut dan harus mengikuti berubahaan dengan kemampuan yang dimiliki organisasi saat ini, namum banyak organisasi yang tidak mau berubah atau tidak mampu berubah sehingga harus keluar dari industri tersebut. Universitas Lancang Kuning Pekanbaru merupakan salah satu dari perguruan tinggi di Provinsi Riau dengan jumlah perguruan tinggi sebanyak 61 Institusi yang terdiri dari Universitas Negeri, Swasta, Politeknik, Sekolah Tinggi dan Akedemisi. Dengan persaingan yang ketat Universitas Lancang Kuning sebagai Universitas swasta di Provinsi Riau perlu melihat dan menganalisis strategi yang tepat untuk dapat bersaing dengan Universitas lain yang ada di Provinsi Riau dengan melihat kemampuan organisasi guna menghadapi perubahaan lingkungan organisasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat posisi strategi Universitas Lancang Kuning melihat dari aspek Peluang, Ancaman, Kekuatan dan kelemahan. Objek penelitian ini adalah Universitas Lancang Kuning yang terdiri 9 fakultas, 1 Magister dan 4 Pejabat Rektorat. Metode penelitian menggunakan matrik EFAS & Matrik IFAS, dan matrik SWOT-8K. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan posisi strategi Unilak untuk dapat bersaing dan menghadapi perubahaan organisasi menggunakan strategi pertumbuhan stabilisasi.

Feasibility study quality drinking water refillable in sub districts Tampan Pekanbaru City

Abstract

Water is one of the most important components in human life. Water used by Refill drinking water depots mostly comes from groundwater, contaminated ground water will result in refill drinking water depots water quality not being eligible. The large demand of people in Kecamatan Tampan using refill drinking water has caused the proliferation of Refill drinking water depots located in sub district Tampan Pekanbaru city. This research was conducted of December 2016 - February 2017. The research was conducted in December 2016 - February 2017, the materials used were raw water (ground water) and drinking water refill the production of Drinking Water Refill Depot. Tools namely 12 sterile bottles and stationery, and sheet checklist. The research method used is survey method, population of 160 Depot of Drinking Water Refill, total sample 114 Depot of Drinking Water Refill. Result of research indicate that sanitation hygiene condition is 60,5% not fulfill requirement, material feasibility 58,8% not fulfill requirement and quality of refill drinking water come from ground water as much 56,1% not fulfill requirement. There is a relationship between hygiene sanitation refill drinking water depots with the quality of drinking water refill originated from groundwater in the work area sub district Tampan Pekanbaru city with p value = 0,026. There is a relationship between the feasibility of raw materials of drinking water refill from ground water with refill drinking water quality comes from ground water in the work area sub district Tampan Pekanbaru with p value = 0.008. The most influential variable on the quality of drinking water refill in sub district Tampan is hygiene refill drinking water depots hygiene with p value 0,01 and a 96% chance of refill drinking quality not eligible. As a conclusion the quality of drinking water refill in Kecamatan Tampan Pekanbaru City influenced by sanitation hygiene.

Abstract

This research and development aims to 1) to determine the feasibility of developing mathematics learning media using the Macromedia Flash application program, 2) to find out the attractiveness of students responses to the development of mathematics learning media using the Macromedia Flash application program. This research was carried out using the Research & Development (R & D) method using the modified Borg & Gall development procedure, which is 10 stages, with only limited access to the 7th stage. Data collection techniques using validation questionnaire sheet. The instrument used was a validation questionnaire sheet to determine the feasibility of the module and questionnaire for student responses to find out the interest. Data analysis techniques used in research and development are quantitative descriptive to process data in the form of scores from the validators assessment and student response, while qualitative descriptive to describe the data in the form of commentary suggestions for improvement from the validator. Based on the results of the validation of the development of mathematics learning media using the Macromedia Flash application program an average score was obtained; (1) the feasibility of developing mathematics learning media using macromedia flash application program results of the validation of material experts obtained an average of 3.73, on linguistic aspects obtained an average of 3.64, on the aspect of feasibility evaluation obtained an average of 3.66, on media experts obtained on average (aspects of media efficiency obtained an average of 3.87, aspects of the function of the buttons obtained an average of 3.5 and the Graphical aspect obtained an average score of 3.4). (2) attracting the development of mathematics learning media using the macromedia flash application program students responses obtained an average score of 3.61 in the "very interesting" criteria.

Abstract

Green Open Space of Bagansiapiapi has different functions, the difference in community activity, the function of Green Open Space in Bagansiapiapi is ecologically, socially, culturally, economically and aesthetically uneven. The purpose of this study is to describe how the function of RTH ecologically, socio-culturally, economically, and aesthetically on the object of GOC in Bagansiapiapi. This research was conducted at Green Open Spaces (GOC) in Bagansiapiapi by using survey method by using questionnaire. Based on the result of the calculation MPE method, it is obtained the priority result. GOC used as research object in Bagansiapiapi according to the expert is City Park, City Forest, Coastal Nature Park of Rokan River Batu 6, Cultural Park, and Jalan Bintang Sungai Pabrik Park. Ecologically, the each function of GOC in Bagansiapiapi was carried out in five parks, namely City Park, City Forest, Coastal Nature Park of Rokan River Batu 6 which have good category, while Cultural Park and Jalan Bintang Sungai Pabrik Park have not good category. A micro climate regulator becomes the indicator with the highest index value due to the presence of plants that can block the sunlight and lower the environmental temperature on RTH. Socio culturally, the function of GOC in the Coastal Nature Park of Rokan River Batu 6 and Cultural Park is best category, while the City Forest is bad category. The criteria as a place of recreation becomes the indicator with the highest index value because the GOC is indeed used by the community as a place of family gathering, playing, discussing, and culinary because the location is beautiful, cool and calm. Aesthetically, the function of GOC for City Park and Cultural Park is best category, while the Coastal Nature Park of Rokan River Batu 6 and Jalan Bintang Sungai Pabrik Park get good category. City Forest have bad category in aesthetically function. Beautify the urban environment and stimulate the urban creativity is the higest index indicator due to the combination of soft and hard scape elements as well as its existence as a center of urban activity.

Analysis of Effect the Greenhouse Gas Concetrations on the Air Temperature Rising in Pekanbaru City and Padang City

Abstract

Human activities have had an impact on global warming due to greenhouse gas emissions. Greenhouse gas emissions resulting from industrial activities, transportation and human activities that use fossil energy sources. The purpose of this research is to analyze the increase of air temperature using CO2 and CH4 gas concentration data from 2010-2016, to know the effect of greenhouse gases on the increase of air temperature, and to analyze the most influential factors in increasing air temperature in Pekanbaru and Padang City. The research method used is survey method with assessment and processing of secondary data. The research results found that greenhouse gases in particular the concentration of CO2 gas affect the temperature rise in Pekanbaru and Padang City. The increase of air temperature in Pekanbaru City is 0.52 °C up to 0.61 °C higher than the temperature rise in Padang City 0,51 °C up to 0.60 °C. The correlation of CO2 gas concentration with temperature rise in Pekanbaru City influenced the increase of air temperature by 10.2%. Factors that affect the most increase in air temperature in Pekanbaru City is the number of vehicles and the number of hotspots whereas in the city of Padang temperature rise is influenced by the number of vehicles and the number of industries. Government policies are required in mitigation efforts to reduce the impact of increased greenhouse gas concentrations by tree planting, peatland management and zero burning land clearing
