Abstract

As a country with thousands of islands, geographically Indonesia is very potential to natural disasters which cause great lost, environmental damage and psychological effects. Besides, violence, such robbery, rapes, and bombing frequently took place in Indonesia. It is estimated that 1.50 % of population suffered from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PSTD) due to the violence. Studies show in America that 15 up to 43 % of females and 14 up to 43 % of males experience trauma in their lives. Great numbers of individuals suffer from deep misery, uncertainty and desperation after natural disaster or violence and in turn leave them in stress, depression and trauma. One of services recommended to help those people go through with psychological problems is counseling, particularly relaxation and desensitization techniques.Kata kunci: trauma, konseling trauma

Abstract

To learn so far a bout token economy in the completion students task at V grade in SD N 16 Sungayang. This research includes qualitative research with this type of case studies. The invent of this research show that applying token economy has a great influence to ward students behave in the completion mathematic task in the class. The implication application of token economy can support the implementation of service delivery mastery of content in completing learning tasks and giving other Guidance. A counselor can collaborate with some of the teachers to improve students behavior and students quality. It is hoped to the next beseecher to apply token economy in the different field to get more view.

Abstract

Abstract: National Exam (UN) is an instrument for evaluation of learning outcomes that are conducted every year, and the result is used as an indicator in determining the quality of education an educational unit. Various businesses or process improvements that have been made to prepare students to face the UN, but the results have not been quite encouraging. This is because the program is designed for this more focused on preparing students in the mastery of the subject matter while the mental preparation of the students in the exam has not received attention optimal. One of the counseling services that can be given to students to mentally prepare them for exams is group counseling services. In this article, mentally preparing students for exams through group counseling are discussed.Keyword: Readiness, students, group guidance.

Abstract

This study motivated by the low level of student motivation in mathematics subjects. The application of high-touch teachers and academic self-concept are factors that influence students' learning toward motivation in mathematics subjects. This study uses a descriptive correlational quantitative method. The population of this study was all students of MAN 1 Pekanbaru totalling 1138 and 322 students were selected by using proportional stratified random sampling. The instruments used were questionnaires for the application of high scored teachers’, academic self-concept, and student learning motivation in mathematics subjects using a model Likert scale. The findings of the study were the application of high touch teachers in a good category, academic self-concept was in a fairly positive category, student motivation in mathematics subjects was in the high category, the application of high touch teachers and academic self-concept respectively contributes significantly positively to students' learning motivation on mathematics subjects.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan komunikasi interpersonal antara orang tua dengan anak remajanya serta ketercapaian identitas remaja guna pembinaan program Bina Keluarga Remaja (BKR) oleh petugas dan konselor. Metode yang digunakan merupakan bagian dari pengembangan model ADDIE. Penyusunan tes melibatkan tiga ahli serta pelaksaannya dibantu oleh Pembina BKR dan konselor. Instrumen yang digunakan berbentuk pertanyaan dan pengukuran kepribadian yang menggunakan Skala Likert. Analisis data dilakukan dengan deskripsi dan hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa tingkat komunikasi antara orang tua dan anak remajanya masih sedang dan cenderung rendah. Tingkat kelayakan materi berada pada kategori sangat layak. Untuk itu, perlu dikembangkan modul yang dapat digunakan oleh orang tua dan anak remajanya yang dapat membentuk komunikasi interpersonal efektif antara orang tua dan anak remajanya.

Abstract

Government decision for developing affective domain at school is a wise policy. It is done by integrating the teaching of affective domain in all teaching activities, and the teachers here should be the models for their students. Teaching evaluation is focused on the process of teaching and group work. Through this activity the students will be able to live together, respect their diversity, and love each other.

Abstract

Orangtua memiliki bagian untuk membantu anak mencapai hasil belajar yang lebih baik dengan memberikan kasih sayang dan pendidikan melalui nilai-nilai kehidupan, baik nilai agama maupun nilai budaya sosial. Salah satu bentuk peran orang tua memberi perhatian pada anak mereka. Perhatian besar orang tua, anak akan memiliki motivasi belajar yang tinggi. Perhatian orang tua dan motivasi belajar berperan penting dalam proses pembelajaran siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan: (1) perhatian orang tua terhadap latar belakang budaya Melayu; (2) perhatian orang tua latar belakang budaya Jawa; (3) motivasi belajar siswa dalam latar belakang budaya Melayu; (4) motivasi belajar siswa dalam latar belakang budaya Jawa; dan (5) meneliti perbedaan perhatian orang tua dan motivasi belajar antar siswa yang berpendidikan bahasa Melayu dan bahasa Jawa. Ini adalah penelitian komparatif deskriptif yang menerapkan metode kuantitatif. Dengan rumus Slovin dengan teknik simple random sampling, 200 siswa dipilih sebagai sampel di SMP Negeri 1 Siak Hulu Kabupaten Kampar pada Tahun Akademik 2015/2016. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis dengan menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan MANOVA (analisis multivariat varians). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) perhatian orang tua terhadap latar belakang budaya Melayu masuk dalam kategori baik; (2) Orang tua memperhatikan latar belakang budaya Jawa berada dalam kategori baik; (3) Motivasi belajar siswa dengan latar belakang budaya Melayu termasuk dalam kategori tinggi; (4) Motivasi belajar siswa dengan latar belakang budaya Jawa termasuk dalam kategori sangat tinggi; dan (5) Tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara orang tua dengan latar belakang budaya Melayu dan Jawa, sementara ada perbedaan motivasi belajar yang signifikan. Perhatian orang tua dan motivasi belajar antar siswa yang memiliki latar belakang budaya Melayu dan latar belakang budaya Jawa. antara latar belakang budaya siswa Melayu dan Jawa.

Abstract

This research was conducted from the student low level toward student problem solving strategies. The student problem solving strategies were affected by motivation problem to resolve and interpersonal communication. This research was intended to describe: (1) the motivation of students in problem solving, (2) student interpersonal communication, (3) the student problem solving strategies, (4) the contribution of the motivation problem to resolve  toward student problem solving strategies (5) the contribution of the interpersonal communication toward student problem solving strategies, and (6) the contribution of the motivation problem to resolve and interpersonal communication toward student problem solving strategies.This correlational descriptive research applied quantitative methods. The population of this research were 601 students of SMA Negeri 2 Pariaman on grade XI and XII, also 240 students there were chosen by proportional stratified random sampling technique.

Abstract

This study aims to describe problem children, with a sample of 52 child convicts. In-depth interview techniques with counseling approaches, focused discussions and questionnaires were used for data collection. Data analysis used content analysis techniques and descriptive analysis. This research is the result of the first year of research planned for three years. The results of the study show that: child convicts are in a critical age, a period of seeking identity; have a low education background; very rarely interact socially with their father and mother; Child convicts have various unmet needs in their families. Their needs include: psychological needs, physical needs, social needs, future needs, information needs, and the need to live in character and culture. It is recommended that the results of the first year research be used to determine the right education model for child convicts to lead a moral and characterized life.
