Abstract

The Development of Instructional Media to Avoid Mind in Chaos in Mathematics. The study was designed as a Research and Development, which was aimed at developing Mathematics instructional media for elementary school students in order to avoid Mind in Chaos towards mathematics. The research procedures involved the analysis of the products to be developed, the development of initial product, expert validation, and a tryout. The subjects of the study were the 3rd graders of SDN Wadasari, Serang. The instruments used in the study included documentation guide, pedoman documenter, observation guide, and questionnaire. Qualitative and quantitative data analysis technique were employed in the data analysis process. The study was successful in developing a prototype of Mathematics instructional media, which can be used in the Mathematics teaching and learning process that will provide the students with the opportunity to experience fun learning which is also helpful in avoiding mind in chaos.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi pentingnya Kemampuan Berpikir Reflektif Matematis (KBRM) Kemampuan tersebut mendukung keberhasilan dalam kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kemampuan lainnya seperti menyelesaikan permasalahan dalam matematika. Tahapan KBRM berguna untuk mengetahui sampai jenjang mana seseorang sudah mencapainya. Bahan ajar juga menunjang untuk peningkatan KBRM, dengan demikian pada penelitian ini akan dikembangkan bahan ajar untuk meningkatan tahapan kemampuan berpikir reflektif matematis. Dengan demikian, target khusus penelitian ini adalah mendapatkan bahan ajar yang mendukung peningkatan tahapan KBRM. Metode yang  dilakukan untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar KBRM adalah penelitian pengembangan. Kegiatan pengembangan bahan ajar tahapan KBRM meliputi 1) analisis kebutuhan, 2) pengembangan produk, 3) validasi desain dengan uji ahli, 4) revisi desain, dan 5) uji coba skala kecil. Subyek penelitian ini adalah siswa SMA di Kota Serang. Hasil yang sudah diperoleh adalah bahan ajar cetak berupa lembar kerja siswa yang sesuai 7 tahapan KBRM yang berisi judul, materi, indikator, soal KBRM, panduan pertanyaan meningkatkan  KBRM.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research is motivated by the lack of ability of student teachers of mathematics FKIP University of Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa in developing worksheets and media exploratory hands on activity. Based on observations in the course clump of learning (planning, strategies and evaluation) and the implementation of microteaching done by the students, obtained the fact that students in developing a worksheet is a collection of questions and do not require the capability of understanding the concept of the student. In addition, student teachers are still rarely use the media in learning, due to difficulties in designing and creating instructional media. Hence the need for teaching material that can be used as guides student teachers to develop explorative and media worksheet hands on activity. Thus the formulation of the problem and the purpose of this study is how to develop teaching material based worksheets and media exploratory hands on activity. The method used in this research is the development method includes preliminary studies, draft development, testing and development of the final product.The results of this research is a module consisting of four units, units of learning theory, the difference unit worksheets and job sheets, media unit hands on activity and worksheet exploratory unit. In each unit consists of several sub-units that correspond to the unit. Based on the results of expert testing and limited trials showed that the worksheet-based development modules exploratory and hands on activity worthy of media used. Keywords: Teaching Material, Worksheet Explorative, Media Hands on Activuty

Abstract

The research is a qualitative descriptive research, the purpose of this research is to analyze students reflective thinking ability in terms of learning style. learning style in this research consists of three types namely visual, auditorial, and kinestetik. The subjects of the study were class VIII in one of the middle schools in Serang district selected by purposive sampling. Based on the analysis results obtained description of students reflective mathematical thinking ability as follows: (1) Visual students have been able to provide interpretation but not yet complete and correct calculation; (2) Auditorial and kinesthetic students are able to provide correct interpretation and calculation. (3) In identifying the concept, visual students have been able to identify the formulas, auditorial and kinesthetic students have not been able to. (4) In evaluating/checking the validity of visual and auditorial students is already capable while kinestetik yet. (5) In distinguishing between relevant data visual and auditorial students have been able, and kinesthetic students have not been able. (6) In drawing the analogy of two cases, visual, auditorial, and kinesthetic students have not been able to. (7) In harmonizing with reason, visual, auditorial and kinesthetic students have not been able.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan desain didaktis berdasarkan gaya belajar baik visual, auditori, maupun kinestetik untuk meningkatkan tahapan kemampuan berpikir reflektif matematis (KBRM) dan disposisi berpikir reflektif matematis (DBRM) siswa SMA. Pengembangan desain didaktis ini dilakukan melalui tiga tahapan yakni analisis kebutuhan, pengembangan produk, dan uji coba. Analisis kebutuhan dilakukan dengan kegiatan studi pustaka dan survei. Hasil survei menunjukkan pentingnya desain didaktis untuk peningkatan tahapan KBRM dan DBRM yang memfasilitasi berbagai gaya belajar siswa. Kegiatan pengembangan dilakukan dengan merancang desain didaktis berbasis komputer yang memfasilitasi siswa dengan berbagai jenis gaya belajar dan memvalidasi produk pada ahli. Desain berbasis komputer memuat 8 indikator KBRM. Uji coba dilakukan melalui uji skala terbatas. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner, dokumen, dan catatan lapangan. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa desain didaktis yang dikembangkan sudah memfasilitasi siswa dengan gaya belajar visual, auditori, dan kinestetik. Desain didaktis yang dihasilkan berupa bahan ajar interaktif berbasis komputer yang memuat menu, indikator, soal beserta pengajuan pertanyaan reflektif, dan refleksi. Kata kunci: berpikir reflektif matematis, disposisi reflektif matematis, gaya belajar  DEVELOPING DIDACTIC DESAIN FOR IMPROVING MATHEMATIC REFLECTION THINKING SKILL AND THINKING DISPOSISION  AbstractThis research was aimmed at developing a didactic design based on the learning style namely visual, auditory, or kinesthetic to enhance the ability of the stages of mathematic reflective thinking and disposition of mathematic reflective thinking of high school students. Developing the didactic design was done through three phases namely a needs analysis, product development, and testing. Needs analysis was conducted with the literature study and survey. The survey results show the importance of didactic design to increasethe ability of the stages of mathematic reflective thinking and disposition of mathematic reflective thinking that facilitate various learning styles of students. The development was carried out by designing a didactic design based computer that facilitates students with different types of learning styles and validated by the product experts. The design contains 8 indicators which were tested with limited scale test. The data werre collected using questionnaires, documents, and field notes.The data were in the form of qualitative and quantitative descriptions. The results show that the developed didactic design has facilitated the students learning style visual, auditory, and kinesthetic. The didactic designed was a computer based interactive teaching materials that contains menus, indicators, along with the matter of the submission of reflective questions, and reflection.Keywords: reflective thinking mathematically, mathematical reflective disposition, style of learning

Abstract

Kemampuan berpikir reflektif matematis merupakan kemampuan matematis berpikir tingkat tinggi. Salah satu upaya untuk mengoptimalkan kemampuan ini adalah dengan mengetahui gaya belajar siswa. untuk mengetahui itu maka dilakukan penelitian dengan jenis kualitatif deskriptif dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan berpikir reflektif matematis siswa ditinjau dari gaya belajar visual, auditorial, dan kinestetik. Subjek penelitian ini adalah kelas VIII A di  SMPN 4 Rangkasbitung yang dipilih secara purposive Sampling pada materi bangun ruang. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan, siswa visual, auditorial dan kinestetik belum mampu mengidentifikasi rumus atau konsep yang digunakan karena tidak memberikan jawaban secara keseluruhan. Siswa visual dan siswa kinestetik mampu mengevaluasi dengan benar, jelas, kurang sistematis, namun lengkap sedangkan siswa auditorial mampu mengevaluasi dengan benar, jelas, sistematis, dan lengkap. Siswa visual dan siswa auditorial memberikan jawaban kurang lengkap dan jawaban salah serta tidak memberikan analogi sedangkan siswa kinestetik memberikan jawaban lengkap namun jawaban salah serta tidak memberikan analogi. Siswa visual memberikan perhitungan kurang lengkap, jawaban akhir salah dan tidak memberikan generalisasi disertai alasan, siswa auditorial memberikan perhitungan benar, jawaban akhir benar namun tidak memberikan generalisasi disertai alasan sedangkan siswa kinestetik memberikan perhitungan benar, jawaban akhir benar dan memberikan generalisasi disertai alasan. Siswa visual menjelaskan dengan bahasannya sendiri dan jawaban benar, siswa auditorial menjelaskan dengan menjelaskannya panjang lebar dan jawaban benar sedangkan siswa kinestetik menjelaskan dengan jawaban benar. Siswa visual sudah mampu memberikan interpretasi namun belum lengkap dan perhitungan benar, siswa auditorial belum mampu memberikan interpretasi namun perhitungan benar, sedangkan siswa kinestetik sudah mampu memberikan interpretasi dengan baik dengan perhitungan yang benar.Kata Kunci: Kemampuan Berpikir Reflektif Matematis, Gaya Belajar, Visual, Auditorial, Kinestetik

Abstract

The ability of mathematical reflective thinking is the ability to interpret a case based on the mathematical concepts involved, can evaluate the truth of an argument, can draw analogies from two similar cases, can analyze and clarify questions and answers, can generalize, and can distinguish between relevant data and not relevant. This ability is one of the high-level thinking skills that can be optimized through integrated learning in everyday life, namely learning with Environmental Based Problem Based Learning. To find out, a quasi-experimental study was conducted which aimed to find out the improvement of mathematical reflective thinking skills in terms of the high, medium and low mathematical abilities of the group. The subject of the research was class XI in SMA Negeri 1 Cilegon which was selected by cluster random sampling in the sequence and series material. The results of the data analysis showed that the Environmental Based Problem Based Learning model was better than the expository learning in improving the achievement and improvement of students' mathematical reflective thinking skills both viewed as a whole and viewed from the initial high, medium and low mathematical abilities. Keywords: Ability Of Mathematical Reflective Thinking, Environment-Based Problem Based Learning

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to produce interactive mathematics teaching materials with metacognitive scaffolding for students' thinking and mathematical reflective dispositions. This interactive teaching material is made in exetable windows (exe) format. The use of teaching materials is flexible with exe format so that it can be used on Windows-based computers. Exe is a type of file used to install or install applications based on a Windows operating system. This research is motivated by the weakness of students 'metacognitive abilities, and the small amount of teaching materials to develop interactive teaching materials with the ability of metacognitive scaffolding aspects, students' thinking abilities and mathematical reflective dispositions. This study uses a research and development design that contains 10 potential steps and problems, combining data, product design, design validation, revision design, product testing, product revision, usage testing, product revision and mass production. The results showed that the general interactive teaching material with metacognitive scaffolding for the ability and disposition of mathematical reflective thinking students had a very good classification with a contribution of 87.5% for education experts and 85.7% for mathematicians looking at resources Introduction, eligibility, presentation , and language. While for multimedia experts have 70%. Based on the results of expert tests and limited trials conducted on 10 grade VIII junior high school students in one of the junior high schools in the attack district it is undeniably related to interactive teaching materials with metacognitive scaffolding for support and 6% mathematical reflective. Keywords:  Interactive Teaching Materials, Scaffolding, Metacognitive, Reflective Thinking, Mathematical Disposition

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh penggunaan pendekatan pembelajaran problem posing dalam meningkatkan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa ditinjau dari tahap perkembangan kognitif siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode quasi eksperimen dengan dua kelas yang dijadikan sampel penelitian. Data kemampuan penalaran matematis dan tahap perkembangan kognitif siswa diperoleh melalui tes kemampuan penalaran matematis dan Tes Of Logical Thinking (TOLT). Data yang dihasilkan dianalisis untuk dilihat perbedaan rerata dari ketiga tahap kognitif pada kelas yang dijadikan sampel penelitian.Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pada tahap perkembangan kognitif formal tidak terdapat perbedaan rerata kemampuan penalaran matematis, sedangkan pada tahap perkembangan kognitif transisi dan konkret menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan rerata penalaran matematis antara siswa yang menggunakan pendekatan problem posing dengan siswa yang menggunakan pendekatan saintifik. DOI: https://doi.org/10.31235/osf.io/gu387

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji dan mengkaji peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa baik secara keseluruhan maupun berdasarkan gender. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas 8 SMPN 1 Cikulur. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan pretes dan postes kemampuan komunikasi matematis. Dari data pretes dan postes diperoleh data n-gain kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan ANOVA dua-jalur untuk melihat peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran melalui strategi REACT lebih tinggi daripada siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran ekspositori ditinjau dari keseluruhan siswa, peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa laki-laki yang memperoleh pembelajaran melalui strategi REACT lebih tinggi daripada siswa laki-laki yang memperoleh pembelajaran ekspositori, peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa perempuan yang memperoleh pembelajaran melalui strategi REACT lebih tinggi daripada siswa perempuan yang memperoleh pembelajaran ekspositori, tetapi tidak terdapat perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis antara siswa perempuan dan siswa laki-laki yang memperoleh pembelajaran melalui strategi REACT.
