Abstract

The  aims  of  this  experiment  were  to    identify  and  characterize of sediment  product from cattle rumen liquor as a source of amino acids, minerals and vitamins. The sediment were obtained as pellets upon centrifugation of rumen liquor at 10,000 g for 10 minutes for collection of supernatant. The sediment were evaluated for amino  acids, minerals and vitamins composition and chararacterized for the pH,  solubility of dry  matter,  specific  density,  bulk  and  compacted  bulk  densities  and  angle  of  response.  Result  of  the experiment showed that sediment contained higher minerals:  Na, K and Fe compared with the commercial premix, but  lower in B-vitamins and  amino acids. The composition of mineral Na,  K, and Fe from rumen liquor of local cattle was 13.47%, 7.73 % and 14.52 %,  while Na, K, and Fe from  rumen liquor of  imported cattle was 18.40%, 10.25%, and 14.52% respectively. The sediment had pH range from 10.01-10.03, the dry matter solubility   was 35.5%  up to 39.1%. The  sediment from imported cattle had  higher specific density, bulk  and  compacted  bulk  densities  and  angle  of  response  than  that  of  local  cattle. It  is  concluded  that sediment from cattle rumen liquor contained high  Na, K  and Fe, low amino acids and B-vitamin,  high pH and low solubility.

Abstract: Plagiarism and Piracy on copyrights Work in Intellectual Property Rights. Indonesia already has constitution on copy rights work, i.e. Constitution No. 6 Year 1982, Constitution No. 7 Year 1987, Constitution No. 12 Year 1997 and Constitution No. 19 Year 2002. Constitution on copyrights was made to protect sources of arts and cultures, also to develop Indonesian intellectual ability, so that healthy and fair competitions are guaranteed for national development. However, plagiarism and piracy acts emerge.  Moreover, plagiarism and piracy acts are done not only in Indonesia but also in the world involving respected such as reporters, academicians, professors, distinguished people, and reputable musicians or even famous companies. Keywords: copyrights, plagiarism, piracy  Abstrak: Plagiat dan Pembajakan Karya Cipta Dalam Hak Kekayaan Intelektual. Abstract

High quality protein feedstuff prices for poultry are more expensive due to rising prices of imported raw materials, such as fish meal and meat bone meal (MBM).  Utilization of an alternative source of protein that is abundant and does not compete with food needs, becomes one of the promising solutions to optimize production efficiency.  This research will evaluate the potential utilization of black soldier fly (BSF) deffated larva mal as alternative source of MBM protein in quail feed on quail production performance by using method of decreasing fat (defatting) with emphasis (pressing).  Female quail 5 weeks old as many as 285 birds.  Quails devided in 3 treatments and 5 replications of each 19 tails.  The experimental design used in this study was a complete randomized design (CRD).  The feed applied was as follows: (P1) control feed, (P2) Feed with content 50% BSF  (P3) feed with 100% BSF.  The results of the study 50% and 100% subtitution of BSF deffated larva meal not significantly affected on egg production evidenced by no disruption of the production of eggs and raised 5.82% (P2) and 6.13% (P3) to feed  control so that it can be concluded that deffated BSF meal  alternative can be used as a substitute for MBM quail in feed

Abstract

Implementation of education can not be separated by management, which contains Planning, Organizing, Actuatin and controlling, with the management of both educational institutions able to provide optimal service to the community, with quality management educational institutions capable of printing quality generation and with good quality management also good institutions capable of bringing positive change to this country. Planning as a first step in management has a very important role as a capital management of an institution / institution, which will produce the generations of excellence in achieving, independent, noble and able to compete with other countries. Therefore, the head of the madrasah needs to apply the strategic planning in the madrasah which includes the Foundational Model, the Early Action Planning Model and The Three-Strand Concurrent Model with their respective characteristics becoming part of the strategic management process related to the short, medium and long term objectives identification process from an institution or organization, extracting ideas and options, taking necessary steps to achieve the stated objectives, and monitoring (monitoring) progress or failure in order to determine future strategies.? Keywords: Perencanaan Strategis dan Penyelenggaraan Pendidikan

Abstract

The study was conducted to evaluate fermentation quality of complete feed silage based on corn, palm and cassava by products. Each complete feed was ensiled separately in 50 litres silo and were opened 6 weeks after ensiling. The silage products were evaluated in terms of physical (colour, smell, and presence of moulds), chemical (pH, N-amonia content, WSC loss and dry matter loss) and microbial properties (number of lactic acid bacteria). The data was analyzed by using Completely Randomized Design with three treatments and six replications, followed by LSD test. The result showed that all complete feed silage treatments were having good quality. Fermentation quality of silage was affected with  kind of complete feed silage (P<0.05). In general, all of treatments had good fermentation quality of silage, because it have lower pH, ammonia content, WSC loss and dry matter also. It is concluded that quality fermentation of complete feed silage based on corn, palm and cassava by products had good quality and can be recomended as ruminant feeding.

Abstract

This study was aimed to analyze neutral detergent insoluble crude protein (NDICP) and acid detergent insoluble crude protein (ADICP) contents of various commonly used forage and concentrate feedstuffs in Indonesia. A number of forages and concentrates, i.e. gliricidia, trichantera, indigofera, calliandra, papaya leaves, cassava leaves, leucaena, rapeseed meal, corn gluten feed, soybean meal, copra meal, palm kernel meal, fish and bone meal and wheat bran were subjected to proximate analysis, cell wall nitrogen determination and in vitro rumen fermentation evaluation. Chemical composition analysis was done in duplicate. The in vitro incubation was conducted in 14 treatments and 3 replicates by following a randomized complete block design. Variables measured after the incubation were total volatile fatty acid (VFA), ammonia, dry matter digestibility (DMD), organic matter digestibility (OMD) and crude protein digestibility (CPD). Results revealed that among the forages, cassava leaf had the highest proportion of NDICP while corn gluten feed was the highest among the concentrates. Different from that of NDICP, the highest proportion of ADICP was obtained in papaya leaf and copra meal for the forages and concentrates, respectively. Higher proportion of NDICP tended to decrease CPD (P<0.1). Although higher ADICP apparently tended to decrease CPD as well, the relationship was insignificant due to the higher variation of the dependent variable. It was concluded that cell wall protein proportion in feed may be used as an indicator to determine the quality of protein and its utilization in the rumen.

Abstract

The objective of this study was to determine energy and protein requirements, for both maintenance and gain, of sheep in Indonesia by using a meta-analysis method. A database was developed from various in vivo experiments involving sheep as the experimental animals in which energy intake, protein intake and average daily weight gain (ADG) were reported. A total of 38 articles consisting of 137 data points were integrated into the database. Different breeds (Priangan, fat-tailed and local) and sexes (male and female) were specified in the database. Maintenance and gain requirements of dry matter, energy and protein were determined by regressing ADG with dry matter intake (DMI), total digestible nutrient intake (TDNI) and crude protein intake (CPI), respectively. An intercept (where ADG= 0 g/kg MBW/d) and a slope (required nutrient intake per unit ADG) were taken as maintenance and gain requirements, respectively. Results revealed that all sheep breeds had similar energy requirement for maintenance (TDNm). Energy requirement for gain (TDNg) of Priangan breed was lower than other breeds; the breed required 0.860 g TDN for 1 g ADG. Fat-tailed and local breeds required 1.22 and 2.75 g TDN for 1 g ADG, respectively. All breeds also revealed relatively similar protein requirement for maintenance (CPm), i.e. 6.27-6.47 g/kg MBW/d. Priangan breed required less CP for 1 g ADG (CPg), i.e. 0.295 g. Requirements of CPg for fat-tailed and local breeds were 0.336 and 0.497 g/g ADG, respectively. It was concluded that each sheep breed in Indonesia had specific TDN and CP requirements for gain, but similar requirements for maintenance.

Abstract

The quality and palatibility of silage and hay complete ration based on organic primer garbage in peranakan etawah (PE) poadABSTRACT. This research was conducted to study the quality and palatability of silage and hay complete ration based on organic primer garbage in nine heads of Peranakan Etawah (PE) Goat. The quality of silage and hay was evaluated By measuring pH, total number of lactic acid Bacteria (LAB), palatability, dry matter (DM) and organic matter (OM) aroma and color of silage. Nine heads of peranakan etawah were grouped based on their lactation periode and randomly assigned to one of tree dietary treatments. The treatments were (1) Control rations; (2) silage complete ration (SRK); and (3) Hay complete ration (HRK). The results indicated that the silage had PH 4.15 and total number of LAB was 2.4 x 10 cfu/g of silage. Dry matter and organic matter digestibility of SRK were better than those of HRK. The palatability of SRK was higher than HRK but less than control. Storage of SRK for did not change dry matter and organic matter content. Organoleptic analysis indicated that texture and color of HRK were changed at after storage, while SRK was still constant. It is concluded that silage composed of organic primer garbage has high quality in terms of physical, chemical and microbial characteristics, prolong storage.

Abstract

The aim of this experiment is to evaluate the nutrient quality of leucaena leaf meal (LLM) with addition of sheep rumen fluid enzyme for nile tilapia feed and incubated in vitro either for 2 or 24 hours. This experiment was arranged in a completely randomized design with 6 treatments and 3 replications. Those treatments were enzyme levels of 0, 20, 40, 60, 80, and 100 ml/ kg LLM. Results showed that nutrient quality of LLM with addition of sheep rumen fluid enzyme that incubated for 24 hours had the best result compared to that incubated for 2 hours. This finding significantly affected (PO.05) on the increase of sugar release (76.97%), soluble glucose (21.27%) and soluble protein (37.7%). It is concluded that sheep rumen fluid enzyme has a great potential for improving nutritional quality of leucaena leaf meal of fish feed.
