IbM BISKUIT DAUN KATUK PELANCAR ASI

Abstract

The patners for this  IbM’s activity are Female Cambodian Farmer Group and Female Farmer Group in the village of Rengas Pulau, Marelan District of Medan. The location is about 20 km away from Unimed. The objective of this activity is to provide katuk’s  flour for the production of biscuit with the application of appropriate technology to increase the farmer’s income. The implementation method for this avtivity are education, business management training, the using of oven dryer and mentoring. The output of this activity are to produce a) katuk’s flour; b) katuk’s biscuit for increasing the production of breast milk; c) katuk oven dryer. The specification of katuk oven dryer are a) oven 40×50×120cm; b) Inside material : iron plate; outside material: tin plate; shelves: iron plate; frame: iron; c)Nnumber of shelves: 6 pieces; d)Heat source : LPG (also available for electricity); e) Climate control: Auto(design for LPG); f) Drying capacity : 50 kg/hour. Results of this activity is as expected, it can be proved by the achievement of the target and the high interest and the enthusiasm of the partners when they listen to the presentation session and pay attention of the biscuit processing practices from the team leader. The production of katuk’s biscuit is ready for market thus can increase IbM’s patners income.

Abstract

ABSTRACT. The research objectives were to analyze strategies in family food coping and to determine hunger indicators. The research design was retrospective and it was conducted in two  difference area  representing  rural  community    (Village  of  Suka  Maju, Cibungbulang District, Bogor Regency)  and urban community (Village of Suka Resmi, Tanah Sareal District, Bogor Municipality), both in West Java Province. Samples of 120 poor families were drawn randomly out of 3340  families from both areas. The primary data was collected from samples using questionnaire which consist of food coping strategy, hunger indicator. The discriminant analysis to determine of hunger indicators. The results showed that the proportion of family suffering from  hunger  was 29.2  %.    There were the  differences  in food  coping strategies between the group of hunger and non-hunger families. The discriminant analysis based on the single variable showed that the family´s hunger indicator was skipping eating for whole days. By the two variables, the hunger indicators were skipping eating for whole days, and reducing the habitual of food frequency.  However by applying the one and two variables, the result of misclassifications were similar,  Jl.47%  hunger families classified into non-hunger families and 24.71% non-hunger families categorized into hunger ones.Key words : Food coping strategy, hunger indicator, family

Abstract

ANALISIS UJI BIOLOGIS BISKUIT DAUN KATUK PELANCAR ASI SEBAGAI MAKANAN TAMBAHAN IBU MENYUSUI

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini: 1) mempelajari aspek keamanan makanan tambahan pelancar ASI untuk ibu menyusui melalui pengamatan kondisi fisiologis binatang percobaan; 2)Menganalisis pengaruh pemberian biskuit daun katuk pelancar ASI terhadap peningkatan volume ASI binatang percobaan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan mulai dari Mei-November 2014. Lokasi penelitian di laboratorium percobaan hewan  Fakultas Farmasi USU.Sampel penelitian 12 ekor tikus yang menyusui. Tikus di intervensi dengan biskuit daun katuk pelancar ASI selama 28 hari. Tikus dibagi 2 kelompok. K1 : diberi biskuit daun katuk pelancar ASI sebanyak 4 gr/hari. K2 : diberi ransum standar. Pengukuran volume ASI melalui pengamatan frekuensi  lama menyusu dalam 24 jam dengan asumsi volume ASI: lama menyusu <15 menit volume ASI 20 ml, dan lama menyusu ≥15 volume ASI 60 ml. Penimbangan volume ASI 2 kali sebelum dan setelah pemberian biskuit. Penimbangan berat badan bayi tikus sebelum intervensi dan sesudah intervensi. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis  secara deskriptif dan uji t untuk melihat perbedaan volume ASI tikus yang diberi biskuit daun katuk pelancar ASI dan tikus yang diberi ransum standar (sebagai kontrol). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan konsidi fisiologis  tikus diberi biskuit daun katuk pelancar ASI tidak menunjukkan kelainan selama pengamatan, seluruh tikus mengalami pertumbuhan normal dan tidak ada yang mati, keadaan feses, kerontokan bulu, keadaan bulu dan flek-flek dalam keadaan normal baik induk tikus maupun bayi tikus.Berdasarkan hasil uji t terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara volume ASI tikus yang diberi biskuit pelancar ASI dengan volume ASI tikus yang tidak diberi biskuit pelancar ASI baik pada penimbangan I, II dan ke III.Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian biskuit daun katuk pelancar ASI dapat meningkatkan volume ASI tikus yang menyusui.

Abstract

Abstrak Stick adalah camilan yang disenangi karena rasanya yang gurih. Stik di buat dengan berbagai rasa, salah satunya rasa wortel.  Mitra kegiatan yaitu usaha industri rumahtangga Mekar Mandiri dan usaha industri rumahtangga Merpati Putih di Kecamatan Tanjung Morawa. Tujuan Kegiatan ini pengembangan usaha pengolahan stick wortel. Kegiatan dilaksanakan 8 bulan tahun 2016. Metode Pelaksanaan melalui pendidikan, pelatihan produksi, pelatihan manajemen usaha, penggunaan mesin dan pendampingan. Target luaran yaitu : a) mesin pencetak stick wortel; b) stick wortel. Hasil kegiatan yang diperoleh adalah mitra mampu memproduksi stick wortel. Mitra dapat mengoperasikan mesin pencetak stick wortel dengan baik. Produksi mitra semakin banyak dan omset mitra semakin bertambah. Kata kunci: Stick, Wortel, Industri, Rumahtangga  Abstract Stick is a favorite snack because it tastes savory. Sticks are made with a variety of flavors, one of which is the taste of carrots. Activity Partners are home industry of Mekar Mandiri and Merpati Putih household business in Tanjung Morawa sub district. The purpose of this activity is the development of carrot stick processing business. Activity is implemented 8 months in 2016. Method Implementation through education, production training, business management training, machine use and assistance. Output targets are: a) carrot sticking machine; B) carrot sticks. The results of the activities obtained are the partners are able to produce carrot sticks. Partner can operate the carrot sticking machine well. Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this activity is to empower the potential owned by the partner community. The activities are conducted from July to November 2017. Activity partners are Ati Rohati and home industries Wahyuni. Location of activity in Suka Meriah Village Siosar Kec. Brand Kab. Karo. This village is an area where the relocation of people affected by eruption of Mount Sinabung. Located 110 km from Unimed. Methods of implementation of activities are education, production training, business management training, machine use and mentoring. Output t of this activity is 1) Potato Sticker Machine and 2) Potato Stick. Specifications of potato sticks are: 1) Have nutritional content: Carbohydrates, Proteins, fats, iron, and fiber; 2) Durable and hygienic. Results of activities obtained are partners have knowledge of potato stick processing, actively participating partners, skilled partners using potato sticker printing machine.
