Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan model kurikulum, proses penanaman nilai-nilai agama Islam, dan hasil yang telah dicapai SDIT Luqman Al-Hakim dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai agama Islam ke dalam sikap dan perilaku siswa. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif naturalistik, dengan subjek penelitian kepala sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah, guru kelas, siswa, dan orang tua siswa. Untuk pengumpulan data digunakan metode pengamatan, wawancara dan analisis dokumen. Keabsahan data diukur dengan menggunakan teknik trianggulasi dengan sumber, metode, dan teori, serta dengan cara melakukan perpanjangan waktu pengamatan, pengamatan secara terus menerus, kecukupan bahan referensi, pengecekan dengan teman sejawat melalui diskusi, dan mem-ber-cbeck. Analisis data dilakukan dengan langkah-langkah reduksi data, display data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Diperoleh kesimpulan penelitian sebagai berikut: 1) Model kurikulum yang dilaksanakan oleh SDIT Luqman Al-Hakim mengacu kepada kurikulum Depdiknas dan kurikulum Depag ditambah kurikulum muatan lembaga. 2) Proses penanaman nilai-nilai agama Islam ke dalam sikap dan perilaku siswa menggunakan pendekatan: ajakan dan pembiasaan, proses penyadaran emosi, serta pendisiplinan dan penegakan aturan. Metode yang digunakan antara lain metode: keteladanan, ibrah melalui kisah, ceramah dan nasehat, tanya jawab, perumpamaan dan sindiran, penugasan, demonstrasi, pembiasaan, pengalaman langsung, out bond, dan bernyanyi. Suasana interaksi pem-belajaran dibangun dengan suasana demokratis dan atas dasar kasih sayang. 3) Model kurikulum dan proses penanaman nilai-nilai agama yang dilakukan SDIT terbukti mampu membentuk sikap dan perilaku siswa yang taat kepada Allah, berakhlakul karimah kepada sesama manusia dan alam, serta berkepribadian yang cukup baik, cerdas, pemberani dan kritis. Abstract

This study aims to develop instructional materials science courses to equip bilingual program students PGSD courses, FIP, UNY with professional competence and personal competence. This study uses Research & Development (R & D) and the development model adopted Plomp (1994). The subjects were 29 students of bilingual class PGSD. The trial was conducted in two trials, which test a small group and large group trials. Data retrieval technique using tests and questionnaires. Analysis of questionnaires and test results data using descriptive statistics and qualitative data conversion into the form of degree of achievement. The results indicate that the development of validation is done at the level either. Testing small group and large group trials indicate the category of "good". This means that the products developed are able to use the basic concepts of science courses to equip students in terms of professional competence and personal competence. Abstract

This lesson  study  aims to  achieving  competency  for  instruction and instill responsibility  commendable  character  and self  confidence personally and socially ready to enter the working world to students. This lesson study includes three phases of activities namely, planning (plan), implementation  of  learning  (do),  observation and reflection (see) the planning and implementation  of learning in order to improve the quality of learning.  Observations  carried  out  using  the  observation  sheet  activities  in the lecture, the recording is done using  video shooting,  while lectures English for  instruction conducted using the method of role playing in which every  student brought the role of a teacher in the classroom  in delivering course material by using English as the medium of learning. The  results  show the  emergence  of  a  character  study  lesson  responsibility and selfconfidence. In addition, the competence of learning English  for instruction also achieved. Abstract

The aim of this study is to increase students’ learning achievement of active English through Total  Physical Response method in elementary schools. The focus is related to the students’ needs of an active English skill that is how to use language actively in communication. This study can be classified into a classroom action research. The subjects are the students of grade IV, SDN Manunggal Bantul. The study uses observation and test to collect the data. Then the data are analyzed by conducting qualitative descriptive method. The finding shows that Total  Physical Response method is able to increase students’ achievement of active English. There is a significant increasing achievement reached by the students, especially on the spoken respon activities and direct physical respon activities toward the spoken instructions and physical action of the teachers and among the students. Besides, there is also significant increasing on the motoric activities of the students in interactive conversation. Generally, direct thingking and direct response can promote the students motivation in vocabulary acquisition so it can improve the students’ active English achievement.   Key words: Active English achivement, total physical response.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to increase students achievement of speaking skill in the competence of English for Instruction by implementing Role Playing method in English classroom of PGSD. The problem is related to the students achievement of speaking skill. This study can be classified into a classroom action research. The finding shows that Role Playing in ESTD is able to improve students achievement of speaking skill. There is a significant increasing achievement of speaking skill reached by the students. The result of speaking test of cycle 1 shows that there are seven students who got score under the interval of 3,00 and the average score is 70,58. It is still under the score of 75 where 75 is the rninimum standard score, but it is better than the score of pre-test. The cycle 2 shows that there is increasing scores, in which there is no student who get under the interval of 2,50-3,00 and the average score is 76,96. It means that the students achievement of speaking skill increase 6,677% although there is no students who get score in the maximum interval of 4,50-5,00. Abstract

This study is motivated by the needs of an appropriate English curriculum design for students of the Elementary School Teacher Education. Based on the preliminary study, the former English curriculum mostly contains Grammatical Knowledge/Passive English and English for the General Profession, so it is not suitable with the needs of the students who wish to be elementary school teachers. This study is conducted by using Research and Development approach as pointed out by Borg and Gall (1983, p. 775-776). The finding shows that English curriculum should be designed based on the current theories of English Language Teaching which covers 4 areas of Communicative Competences: grammatical competence, sociolinguistic competence, discourse competence, strategic competence. These Competences can be implemented in Tasks identified through Needs Analysis which is relevant to their needs in the future profession.   Keywords: Curriculum Design, Competency and Tasks, English teaching and learning.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan Learning Cycles Model‘ThreeMuranoi’s Interaction Enhancements’ pada kompetensi English for Bilingual Instructiondalam proses pembelajaran mata kuliah bahasa Inggris. Penelitian ini menggunakanpendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan subjek mahasiswa program studi PGSD. Pengumpulandata dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik wawancara, observasi, dan catatan lapangan.Hasil menunjukkan bahwa implementasi tersebut telah berjalan dengan baik. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan RPP tematik-integratif dalam peningkatan karakter kerja keras dan mengetahui efektifitas penerapan RPP tematik-integratif dalam peningkatan karakter kerja keras bagi peserta didik kelas 1 SD N 2 Sokaraja Tengah. Penelitian ini menggunakan langkah pengembangan menurut Borg and Gall.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa produk yang dikembangkan dalam penelitian ini layak digunakan sesuai hasil penilaian ahli teknologi pembelajarann dan ahli media pembelajaran terhadap produk yang dikembangkan dengan kriteria “sangat baik” dengan bukti perolehan skor total validasi sebesar 39 dan 38. Produk yang dikembangkan juga efektif diterapkan sesuai dengan hasil uji coba dilapangan. Keefektivan RPP hasil pengembangan dilihat dari hasil keterlaksanaan RPP adalah berkriteria “sangat baik” dengan bukti keterlaksanaan mencapai 100%. Kenaikan karakter kerja keras dari kriteria “cukup” menjadi kriteria “baik”. Ketuntasan hasil belajar kelas eksperimen mencapai 93,54% dan ketuntasan hasil belajar kelas kontrol mencapai 61,3%. Kata Kunci: RPP tematik-integratif, pendidikan karakter  DEVELOPING A THEMATIC-INTEGRATED LESSON PLAN TO INCREASE THE HARD-WORKING CHARACTER OF GRADE 1 STUDENTS OF SD N 2 SOKARAJA TENGAH Abstract This research is aimed to develop thematic-integrated lesson plan to increase hard-working character and to know the effectiveness of the thematic-integrated lesson plan in the increase of hard-workig character of grade 1 students of SD N 2 Sokaraja Tengah. This research is a research and development study from Borg & Gall model. The result shows that the product developed in this research is suitable to use.  The result of teaching technology and learning media expert analysis on this product shows that it is ”very good”, as proved by the validation total scores of 39 and 38 out of 45. This product is also effective to apply as shown the result of field testing of the lesson plan. The effectiveness of the lesson plan can be seen from its feasability which is in it “very good” criteria. The hard-working character increases from “sufficient” criteria to the “good” criteria. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media film animasi terhadap keterampilan menulis karangan narasi siswa kelas V SD. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi experiment dengan desain pretest-posttest control group desain. Hasil penilaian menunjukkan kelompok kontrol memperoleh rata-rata skor pretes 27,92 dan postes 29,51, kelompok eksperimen I memperoleh rata-rata skor pretes 27,95 dan postes 31,73, sedangkan kelompok eksperimen II memperoleh rata-rata skor pretes 27,75 dan postes 31,33. Peningkatan rata-rata skor yang diperoleh kelompok kontrol sebesar 1,59. Peningkatan rata-rata skor kelompok eksperimen I sebesar 3,78 dan peningkatan rata-rata skor kelompok eksperimen II sebesar 3,58. Hasil uji t kelompok kontrol dan kelompok eksperimen I diketahui nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05. Hasil uji t kelompok kontrol dan kelompok eksperimen II menunjukkan nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05. Hasil Anova menunjukkan nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05. Dari data tersebut dapat disimpulkan terdapat pengaruh penggunaan media film animasi terhadap keterampilan menulis karangan narasi siswa kelas V SD. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________EFFECTS OF THE USE OF ANIMATION FILM MEDIA ON THE NARRATIVE TEXT WRITING SKILL OF GRADE V STUDENTS OF ESsABSTRACT This study is to find out the effects of the use of animation film media on the narrative text writing skill of Grade V students of elementary schools (ESs). This study was a quasi-experimental employing the pretest-posttest control group design. The results of the study show the control group attained a pretest mean score of 27.92 and a posttest mean score of 29.51; experimental group I attained a pretest mean score of 27.95 and a posttest mean score of 37.73 while experimental group II attained a pretest score of 27.75 and a posttest mean score 31.33. The mean gain score attained by the control group was 1.59. The mean gain score attained by experimental group I was 3.78, and that by experimental group II was 3.58. The results of the t-test for the control group and experimental group I showed a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. The results of the t-test for the control group and experimental group II show a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. The result of ANOVA shows a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. Based on the data, it can be concluded that there are effects of the use of animation film media on the narrative text writing skill of Grade V students of ESs. Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kompetensi active speaking mahasiswa melalui model Communicative Language Teaching dalam proses kegiatan pembelajaran mata kuliah bahasa Inggris. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (Classroom Action Research). Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa  kelas  I  B  tahun  ajaran  2012/2013  program  studi  Pendidikan  Guru Sekolah Dasar (PGSD) FIP UNY. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan  teknik  observasi,  tes,  dan  catatan  lapangan.  Hasil  penelitian menunjukan bahwa penerapan model Communicative Language Teaching dapat meningkatkan kompetensi active speaking mahasiswa dalam proses kegiatan pembelajaran  mata  kuliah  bahasa  Inggris  di  PGSD.  Indikator  active  speaking (keaktifan berbicara secara aktif-komunikatif). Dalam proses pembelajaran, keterampilan active speaking menjadi fokus utama penelitian tindakan ini, dimana desain pembelajaran melibatkan empat kompetensi komunikatif yaitu: kompetensi gramatikal, kompetensi sosiolinguistik, kompetensi wacana/discourse, dan kompetensi strategi. Dilihat dari hasil penilaian siklus I  ada peningkatan rara-rata kelas. Nilai rata-rata kelas pada pra tindakan yaitu 61,77 pada siklus  I meningkat menjadi 76,38. Dan hasil penilaian siklus II  menunjukan adanya peningkatan rara- rata kelas yang cukup signifikan, dimana nilai rata-rata kelas pada siklus I yaitu 76,38 pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 85,04.   Kata Kunci: active speaking, communicative language teaching
