Abstract

The purpose of this study was to obtain data on the effectiveness of cooperative learning models guessing words in students' speaking skills. This research is a quasi-experimental study. The population of this study was all students of class XI Semen Tonasa High School consisting of 2 classes totaling 97 students. The sample used was Random Sampling, namely students of class XI IPS 2, amounting to 28 students as the experimental class and students of class XI IPS I, amounting to 28 students as the control class. The data obtained were analyzed using the t-test formula. The results of data analysis showed (t count 3.34> t table 0.005 at a significant level of α 0.05. The results showed that the cooperative learning model guessed the word effective in the German speaking skills of students.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the composition of the best growing media  for the growth and yield of tomato plants withverticultural systems. This research was carried out in the greenhouse of the University of Riau Faculty of Agriculture Experiment station for 4 months starting from October 2017 to January 2018.This study was an experiment using a randomized block design (RBD)consisting of 5 treatments, namelyP1 = Soil  Inceptisol + Sand + Compost TKKS (1 : 1 : 1), P2 = Soil Inceptisol + Sand + Compost TKKS (1 : 1 : 2), P3 = Soil Inceptisol + Sand + Compost TKKS(1 : 2 : 1), P4 = Soil Inceptisol + Sand + Compost TKKS (2 : 1 : 1) and P5 = Soil Inceptisol + Sand + Compost TKKS (2 : 2 : 1).The parameters observed were plant height, stem diameter, age of first flowers appearance, age of first harvest, number of flowers, number of fruits and weight of fruit.                       The 2 : 1 : 1 Planting media composition cultivated with verticulture system produces fruit weight an average of 286,4 g in tomato plants which tend to be better. Keywords: Tomato plants, composition of planting media, cultivation of verticulture systems. 

PENGARUH PUPUK FOSFOR DAN GIBERELIN TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN DAN HASIL TANAMAN TERUNG (Solanum melongena L.).

Abstract

This research aims to find out the effect of phosphorus fertilizer doses at various concentrations of gibberellins, gibberellin concentration on various doses of phosphorus, the main effects of phosphorus fertilizer and gibberellin which is better for growth and the yield of eggplant plants. The research was conducted at the UPT of the Faculty of Agriculture Universitas RiauPekanbaru starting from January to April 2018 was experimentally arranged in divided plot design using arandomized block design. The main plot is the gibberellin concentration (0, 5, 10 and 15) ppm. The sub plot is the dose of phosphorus fertilizer (92, 138 and 184)kg of P2O5ha-1. The parameters observed: plant height, days to flowering, amount of flowers per plant, harvesting day, amount of fruits per plant, fruit length, fruit diameter and fruit weight per plant. The combinationtreatment phosphorus 184 kg P2O5.ha-1 and giberellin of 15 ppm is better on plant height, days to flowering, amount of flowers and harvesting age. The treatment 92 kg of P2O5.ha-1 and without being given giberellin can increasebetter on the amountof fruits and fruit weight. The treatmentphosphorus at the dose of 92 kg P2O5ha-1 produced the better amount of fruits and fruit weights. The treatment of without gibberellin increased the amount of fruits and the better fruit weight until 90 days of planting. Key words: eggplant plant, phosphorus fertilizer and gibberellins.

RESPONS PADI GOGO (Oryza sativa L.) TERHADAP PEMBERIAN KOMPOS TANDAN KOSONG KELAPA SAWIT (TKKS) DAN PUPUK FOSFOR PADA TANAH ULTISOL

Abstract

Upland rice is a rice producing food crop that needs to be increased by utilizing Ultisol soil. This soil has low organic matter and P is fixed by Al, so it is necessary to provide TKKS compost and phosphor fertilizer. This study aims to determine the combination of TKKS compost with phosphor fertilizer and each of the main factors that can support the growth and yield of upland rice. This research was conducted at the University of Riau Faculty of Agriculture Experimental Garden, starting from February 2018 to June 2018. This research was conducted using factorial randomized complete design. The first factor was TKKS compost (0, 5, 10, and 15) ton.ha­-1, the second factor was phosphorus fertilizer (36.8, 46.0, 55.6, and 64.4) kg P2O5.ha-1. Observation parameters: plant height, number of productive tillers, harvest age, panicle length, number of grains per panicle, percentage of rice grain, weight of empty grain and weight of milled dry grain and weight of 1000 grains of grain. The data obtained were statistically analyzed by variance analysis and further duncan’s multiple range tests (DMRT) at the level of 5%. TKKS compost 15 tons.ha-1  gaves better results for all parameters except the percentage of rice grain and weighs 1000 grains. Phosphor fertilizer 64.4 kg P2O2.ha-1 gave better results for parameters of plant height, panicle length, number of seed grains, and weight of milled dry grain per clump. Combination TKKS compost 15 tons.ha-1 with phosphorus fertilizer 64.4 kg P2O2.ha-1 and 10 tons.ha-1 with 46.0 kg. P2O2.ha-1  provides better results compared to other treatments for all parameters except the percentage of rice grain and weight of 1000 grains. Keywords: TKKS Compost, Phosphorus Fertilizer, Upland Rice and Ultisol  

THE IMPORTANCE OF FOREST AND LANDSCAPE RESOURCE FOR COMMUNITY AROUND GUNUNG LUMUT PROTECTED FOREST, EAST KALIMANTAN

Abstract

The forest of Gunung  Lumut  in Pasir District,  East Kalimantan was designated  for a protection  forest in 1983. It is surrounded  by 15 villages  and one settlement  lies inside it. Communities in those villages are dependent upon the landscape and forest resources mainly for non timber forest products. This study was focused on the perception of the communities on the importance of the landscape and forests. The study was conducted in two settlements, located  in and outside  (near)  the protection  forest,  namely  Rantau  Layung  Village  and Mului  Sub-Village.  Data collection  was undertaken through  general field observations, key- informant personal  interviews and focus group  discussions.  In Rantau  Layung, the most important land  type  was rice  field, whereas  in Mului  was forest.  There  were  13 and 14 use categories  of landscape  resources  in Rantau  Layung  and Mului,  respectively, such as food, medicine,  constructions and source of income.  People in Rantau  Layung  and Mului ranked  plants  to be more  important than  animals.  People  also considered  products  from wild  resources  to be more  important than  those from cultivated  and purchased  sources. Communities living  in both  settlements  considered  the future  uses of forests to be the most important as compared to those of the present and past. They  suggested that sungkai (Peronema canescens) and telien (Eusideroxylon zwageri) to be the most important plants while payau  (Cervus unicolor) and telaus (Muntiacus muntjak) to be the most important animals. People used the wildlife mainly for food and source of income. They also identified important and potential  resources for economic  development in the area, i.e. ecotourism  and hydro- power for electric  generator.

Abstract

Ramin (Gonystylus bancanus (Miq) Kurz.) is a trade name of timber produced from a group of Gonystylus species. It is a well-known species because of its high timber quality and value. Ramin natural population has been decreasing sharply since the last two decades due to over exploitation, and nowadays leads to extinction. The objective of  this research was to analyze the growth of ramin plantation on various sites.  Data were collected from February to April 2005 through field survey on five sites of peat-swamp forest areas in four provinces, Riau, Jambi, West and Central Kalimantan. The result showed that ramin annual early growth varied across sites.   It grew better on deep peat soil (3 - 4 m in depth) and under moderate shading (55 - 60%) during early growth. The highest early height growth (52.27 cm/year) occurred at Sei Bakau, West Kalimantan.  Whereas, it highest early diameter growth (0.73 cm/year) was found at Rokan Hilir, Riau. The characteristics of site are very important for a successful growth of ramin plantation, including peat depth and level of shading. Annual early growth of ramin as along in line with increasing of the plant age, namely a four- times increase of plant age (from 1.6 - 2 years to 6.5 - 7.3 years), the annual early height and diameter growth decreased until they reached a half and one third of the starting values. Since the growth of ramin is very slow, it is necessary to find and develop technologies to accelerate growth rate of  the ramin plants. Application of mycorrhizal fungal inoculum is a promising technology, but their role in promoting ramin growth and the needed cost must be tested and analyzed under various conditions of the peat-swamp soils in Indonesia.

Abstract

Dewasa madya life divorcee in Kenagarian “K” Pesisir Selatan the result their husband pass away broken merry cause more problems of their life. This research is purepose to describe some problems: (1) ekonomi, (2) social, (3) families, (4) practice, (5) seksual and (6) where their live and how to overcome. This research is the kualitative research describtion, infrom in this research is dewasa madya in the divorcee is four people and informan supporter is four children, mother and they nearest family. Data to collected through observastion, interview and documentation. The data accurancy to the test to used triangulation data and analysis with interactive model of consist data reduction to serve and to take conclusion. The result of the research to show that: (1) in generally they have a problem about trade income, domestic animals and farm, (2) the social life be distrubed and they keep be parient about that. (3) the family problem, they feeling about to educate their children but keep importancy priority their children, (4) they have to pursue about practice problem and several they request to the they nearest family, (5) the problem about sexsualitas, they felt very lonely and have desire to merried again, while they have traumatic about that, (6) the problem about their residence is in generally they have and household equipment yet complet to they need. However they keep to expedient for can good useful about what they have.

Abstract

Di Sekolah Menengah Pertama, kurikulum yang harus dipedomani sekarang adalah kurikulum K- 13 yaitu kurikulum yang menyarankan pembelajarannya dengan pendekatan saintifik yaitu pendekatan berbasis keilmuan dan penilaian autentik. Pendekatan saintifik dapat menggunakan beberapa model pembelajaran seperti Discovery Learning, Project-Based Learning, Problem-Based Learning, Inquiry Learning dan lain-lain, dan penilaian autentik adalah penilaian yang dilakukan guru secara menyeluruh dari kemampuan siswa. Untuk melakukan penilaian secara autentik guru harus mempunyai instrumen yang baik sehingga penilaian yang dilakukan konsisten dan objektif. Salah satu usaha yang bisa dilakukan agar guru-guru dapat melakukan penilaian secara autentik yaitu menyusun instrumen seperti psikomotorik yang sesuai dengan proses pembelajaran yang disarankan kurikulum K-13. Instrumen psikomotorik yang dikembangkan disesuikan dengan materi-materi yang diajarkan dengan praktikum. Metode dalam pengembangan instrumen asesmen psikomotorik ini mengacu pada penelitian pengembangan 4-D yang dibatasi sampai 3-D yaitu Define (Pendefinisian), Design (Perancangan), Develop (Pengembangan) sesuai dengan tujuan penelitian.Hasil penilaian validator tentang kualitas instrumen asesmen psikomotorik yang sudah dikembangkan berkualitas sangat baik, berdasarkan skor ideal dan nilai rata-rata dari tiga validator. Hasil ujicoba terbatas menunjukan instrumen asesmen psikomotorik berkategori valid dan reliabel.

Abstract

This research aimed to explain the factor and forms of code mixing and code switching at Department of  Language Education and Indonesian art and the implication of Indonesian study in SMA. This research used descriptive qualitative design. The data were taken by using listening technique of entangle to speak, free technique of entangle to speak, and tape recorder. The data analysis was using transcribing, choosing, collecting, marking, clasifying, analzying, and presenting the results of research. The results showed that the case of code are the internal code switching as much as 41 times and the external code switching 9 times and code mixing which are mixed code word as much as 57 times, the phrase as much as 25 times, baster as much as 2 times, and clause as much as 16 times and can be implied to Indonesian language learning in school as teaching materials.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan bentuk-bentuk dan faktor penyebab alih kode dan campur kode pada mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia dan implikasinya pada pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia di SMA. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain deskriptif kualitatif. Data diambil dengan menggunakan teknik simak libat cakap, teknik bebas libat cakap, dan perekaman. Analisis data dengan cara mentranskripsi­kan, memilih, mengumpulkan, menandai, mengklasifikasikan, menganalisis, dan menyajikan hasil penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terjadi alih kode yaitu alih kode intern sebanyak 41 kali dan alih kode ekstern sebanyak 9 kali dan campur kode yaitu campur kode kata sebanyak 57 kali, frasa sebanyak 25 kali, baster sebanyak 2 kali, dan klausa sebanyak 16 kali dan dapat dijadikan sebagai bahan ajar pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia di SMA.Kata kunci: alih kode, campur kode, pembelajaran bahasa.
