Abstract

Abstract: This research is a class action research that aims to improve the learning process and to increase the student’s mathematics learning outcomes by applying learning cycle “6E”. The subjects of this research are the student of class XI Science I MAN 1 Pekanbaru at first semester of academic years 2015/2016, which amounts to 31 students consist of 13 male and 18 female students with the heterogenous level. This research consists of two cycles, each cycle consists of four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The instruments of data collection in this research were observation sheets and students Mathematic tests. The data which collected were analyzed with descriptive analyzed statistically. The action is successful if the scores of teacher’s activities and student’s activities increase in every meeting, improve students’ math achievemsent. From analyzed of teacher and students activity in the learning process showed an improvement of learning process prior to the action on the first and second cycle. The result of this research showed an increasing number of students’ math achievement from the basic score 29 % to 54,8 % on the first daily test and 64,5 % on the second daily test. Based on the result of this research can be concluded that the implentation learning cycle “6E” models can improve students’ math achievemsent at class XI Science I MAN 1 Pekanbaru at first semester of academic years 2015/2016.Key words: Students’ Math Achievement, Learning Cycle “6E”

Abstract

Abstract: This research is a class action research that aims to improve thelearning process and to improve the student’s mathematical problem solving ability byapplying Problem Based Learning (PBL). The subjects of this research are the studentof class X2 Senior High School 1 Tanah merah at first semester of academic years2015/2016, which amounts to 29 students. This research consists of two cycles, eachcycle consists of four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection.Data collected through observation and student’s mathematical problem solving abilitytest. Data analysis is done by observation data analysis and student’s mathematicalproblem solving ability data analysis. The action is successful if the scores of teacher’sactivities and student’s activities increase in every meeting, improve the student’smathematical problem solving ability every cycle and improve the classical’smathematical problem solving ability. The result of observation show teacher andstudents activities are improve better than before in every meeting. Based on dataanalisys of student’s mathematical problem solving ability test show the average N-gainof student’s mathematical problem solving ability in first cycle has improve 0,26, itsmean the student’s mathematical problem solving ability in low classification and insecond cycle the average N-gain of student’s mathematical problem solving ability hasimprove 0,39, its mean the student’s mathematical problem solving ability in mediumclassification. The average score of classical’s mathematical problem solving abilityhas improve 31,46 in first cycle than beginning test and the average score of classical’smathematical problem solving ability has improve 6,15 in second cycle than first cycle.The result of this research showed that Problem Based Learning improve the learningprocess and increase the the student’s mathematical problem solving ability of class X2Senior High School 1 Tanah merah at first semester of academic years 2015/2016.Keywords: Student’s mathematical problem solving ability, Problem Based Learning

Abstract

The result of observation show teacher andstudents activities are improve better than before in every meeting. Based on dataanalisys of student’s mathematical problem solving ability test show the average N-gainof student’s mathematical problem solving ability in first cycle has improve 0,26, itsmean the student’s mathematical problem solving ability in low classification and insecond cycle the average N-gain of student’s mathematical problem solving ability hasimprove 0,71, its mean the student’s mathematical problem solving ability in highclassification. Abstract

Absract: This research was based on the students achievement in learning mathematics especially grade VII.1 of SMPN 5 Teluk Kuantan under the Mastery Minimum Criteria with percentage of 44.8% on the subject matter about fractions. The research conducted was the Classroom Action Research. The aims of this research is to improve the learning process and results on the students learning mathematic by implementing cooperative learning model structural approach of Numbered Heads Together. There were 29 students in the class consisting 22 boys and 7 girls as the participant of this research. The instruments of data collection in this research were observation sheets and students Mathematic tests. The observation sheets were analyzed in qualitative desciptive, while the students’ Mathematic tests were analyzed in quantitative desciptive. The qualitative desciptive showed an improvement of learning process prior to the action on the first and second cycles.. The results of this research showed an increasing number of students learning Mathematic from the basic score with percentage 44,8% to 58,6% on the first test and 82,7% on second test. Based on the result of this research could be concluded that the implementation of Cooperative Learning Model structural approach of Numbered Heads Together can improve the students’ achievement of learning Mathematic in grade VII.1 of SMPN 5 Teluk Kuantan in the second semester academic years 2014/2015.Keywords: Students Math Achievement, Cooperative Learning Model Structural Approach of Numbereed Heads Together, Clasroom Action Research.

Abstract

Abstract The objective of this research was to find out the influence of applying problem based learning based on soft skills toward increasing students’ creativity in the subject Development of High School Mathematics Curriculum (DHSMC). The method used in this research was Pre-experimental method with the Intec-group comparison design. It was applied to the students who took DHSMC subject in the even semester of the year 2013/2014 for two classes. There were 28 students in the experimental class, who treated by using Problem Based Learning on Based Soft Skills and 25 students in the control group which were taught by using Problem Based Learning. The data of students’ creativity was collected by using questionnaires by Likert Scale, observation, and interview. The aspects of creativity involved flexibility, originality, elaboration, and fluency. The data obtained was normal distributed and has homogen variance. As a result, the data was analyzed through the comparative independent sample that was t-test. The result of the research showed that there was not influence on students’ creativities after teaching by problem based learning based on soft skills and those by problem based learning in taking DHCMC subject.Key words: soft skills, problem based learning, creativity

Abstract

Abstract: This research is based on the low the ability of student’s mathematical understanding of class X MIA MAN 1 Pekanbaru. This research was done in class X MIA of MAN 1 Pekanbaru at second semester of academic year 2015/2016. The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of the implementation Cooperative Learning Model Think Pair Square (TPS) to increase the ability of student’s mathematical understanding of class X MIA MAN 1 Pekanbaru. The type of this research is quasi-experimental with a design that is used is Non-equivalent Control Group Design. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling technique. This research involved two classes, namely samples that are subjected to the experimental class of the application of cooperative learning model Think Pair square (TPS) while the control group received treatment in the form of conventional learning. The instrument of collecting data in this study is pretest and posttest ability mathematical understanding. This study shows that the increase in the ability of students mathematical understanding experimental class is better than the control class. Index increased ability of understanding mathematical experimental class at the high category while the control class in middle category. It can be concluded that cooperative learning model Think Pair Square positive effect of increasing the ability of student’s mathematical understanding class X MIA MAN 1 Pekanbaru at second semester of academic year 2015/2016.Key Word : The Ability Of Mathematical Understanding, Cooperative Learning Model Think Pair Square (TPS), Quasi-experimental Research

Abstract

Abstract: This research based on the students’ math achievement on grade VIIIB of SMP Beer Seba Pekanbaru which under the minimum completeness criteria with percentage 32.14% for math test with linear equations systems of two variables topic and 28.57% for Pythagorass Theorem topic. The research is classroom action research. The research aims to improve the math learning process and improve math learning result at grade VIIIB of SMP Beer Seba Pekanbaru with applying the discovery learning. The research subjects were students of class VIIIB SMP Beer Seba Pekanbaru which consists of 15 boys and 14 girls in the even semester of 2015/2016 academic years. The instruments of data collection were observation sheets and students’ math achievement tests. The observation sheets were analyzed in desciptive narative and the students’ math achievement tests were analyzed in statistic desciptive. The result of descriptive narative had showed an improvement of learning process prior to the action on the first cycle and from the first cycle to the second cycle. The result of statistic descriptive had showed an increasing number of students’ math achievement from the basic score to the first math test with percentage 22.78% and from the first math test to the second math test with percentage 3.58%. So, the result of this research showed that the implementation of discovery learning can improve the learning process and improve the students’ math achievement for grade VIIIB SMP Beer Seba Pekanbaru in the even semester of 2015/2016 academic years.Key Word : Students’ Math Achievement, Discovery Learning, Clasroom Action Research

Abstract

Abstract :This study aims to improve the learning process and improvelearning outcomes math class V students of Elementary School 019 Logas in the secondsemester of the 2015/2016 school year by implementing cooperative learning modeltype Student Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD). The study consisted of two cycles,each cycle consisting of four phases: planning, implementation, observation, andreflection. Each end of the cycle carried out daily tests. Data collected throughobservation and tests in the form of daily tests. Observation is used to collect activitydata of teachers and students during the learning process, while tests are used to collectdata and mathematics learning outcomes will be provided in the form of daily tests. Theresults showed that the activity of teachers and students in learning has been consistentwith the planned implementation of learning. Most of the students to actively participatein the learning process is carried out, such as at the stage of delivering the goals andmotivation of students, the stage of presenting the information, organize students intostudy groups, guiding the group work and study presented the results of the workinggroup, responding to the presentation her friend, evaluate learning outcomes andreward. The results of this study indicate that the application of cooperative learningmodel STAD can improve the learning process and improve learning outcomes mathclass V students of Elementary School 019 Logas in the second semester of the schoolyear 2015/2016.Keywords : learning outcomes, Cooperative Learning, Student Teams Achievement Division(STAD), Action Research

Abstract

Abstract: The background of this study was students’ low achievement at X.4 class of SMA Negeri 1 Kateman in learning Math that reached KKM on the material Shape Rank, Roots, and logarithm that 15 of 35 students with a percentage of 42.85%. The aim of this study was to improve learning process and learning outcomes of the students in Math by applying Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) Cooperative Learning type. The design of this research was the Classroom Action Research consisted of two cycles and at the end of each cycle conducted tests. The subjects of this research were students class X.4 of SMA Negeri 1 Kateman at the second semester of the school year 2015/2016. The students consisted of 10 males and 25 females. The data collection instrument was the observation sheet both of teacher and students activities and Math test. Observations were conducted to collect data on the activities of teachers and students. Math test are used to gather data on the results of students’ in learning Math. Based on data analysis of the teacher’s and students’ activities, it shows that teaching and learning process in Math by applying TSTS cooperative learning type was getting better because the learning process was conducted according to what was planned in the lesson plan. The results show that improvement in students’ learning outcomes was 40% on the basic score became 54.29% in the first cycle and 80% in the second cycle. This study concluded that the application of TSTS cooperative learning type can improve the students’ learning process and learning outcomes of X.4 class of SMA Negeri 1 Kateman at second semester of academic year 2015/2016.Keywords: Math learning outcomes, Two Stay Two Stray Cooperative Learning Strategy, Classroom Action Research.

Abstract

This article is based on the limited lecture model for Kapita Selekta Mathematics (KSM) courses.  This article aims to reveal the results of technology validation of the website of the mathematics proficiency course (KSM) on UIN Suska Riau students. This article uses a development research model that uses Sugiyono's research steps but only limited to two stages, namely design stage and product validation stage. The validated aspect of the learning website is graphic feasibility and program feasibility with indicators: 1) the size of the learning website, 2) the design of the learning website, and 3) the design of the content of the learning website. The validation instrument is a questionnaire using Likert scale that is filled by three expert technology experts. Assessment of the validity of the learning web on the aspect of feasibility of the graphics resulted in a total validity value of 3.9 with valid categories. As for the web learning on the feasibility aspect of the program to produce the value of validity as a whole that is 4 with valid categories
