Abstract

Lighting is an important parameter of the poultry production because of strong exogenous factor in controlling a wide variety of physiological processes and behavior. The lighting allows the birds to establish harmony and sync or equate many essential functions, including body temperature and various steps that facilitate metabolic feeding and digestion. The lighting also stimulates the secretion of some hormones patterns that control most of the growth, maturity or adulthood and reproductionThis research aims to assess the influence of light color on the body weight and carcass kampung chicken. The main independent variable is the color red, blue and white. The main dependent variable consists of body weight and percentage of carcass. The variable control is the number of rations, health management, a type of chicken, and the age of the chicken.The results show that there is no real difference in the influence of different color variations of the lighting body weights (P>0,05), and the carcass of a chicken (P>0,05).Keywords : lighting stimulation, kampung chicken, body weights, carcass

Abstract

THE EFFECTIVENESS OF DEVELOPING REST (RELIGION, ENVIRONMENT, SOCIETY, TECHNOLOGY) LESSON PLAN AND BIOENTREPRENEURSHIP APPROACH TO THE BIOLOGY STUDENTS?óÔé¼Ôäó LEARNING OUTCOME ABSTRACT The aim of this study was to develop an instructional instrument for Biology based on Religion, Environment, Society, and Technology (REST). It employed a bioentrepreneurship approach, discribed students?óÔé¼Ôäó learning outcome while they attending in the subject of enviromental pollutions, which was a part of the enviromental science. The subjects for this research were the second semester students at PGRI Semarang University, Biology Education Department. This research used a Research & Development method. The learning outcomes of the subjects in the experimental group on the materials given were higher than those in the control group. The REST-based instructional instrument, helped by the bioentrepreneurship approach, consisted of lesson plan, lectured contracts, modules,?é?á students?óÔé¼Ôäó work sheets, and instrument evaluation could be applied for pollution material, subject of environmental knowledge. ?é?á Keywords: Instructional instrument, REST (Religion, Environment, Science and Technology), Bioentrepreneurship, Environmental Knowledge. ?é?á ABSTRAK Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan dan menguji efektivitas produk perangkat pembelajaran terhadap prestasi belajar mahasiswa melalui pembelajaran bervisi REST (Religion, Environment, Science, and Technology). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Bioentrepreneurship untuk mengetahui hasil pembelajaran mahasiswa dalam materi pencemaran lingkungan pada perkuliahan Pengetahuan Lingkungan. Subjek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa semester II Jurusan Pendidikan Biologi Universitas PGRI Semarang. Metode penelitiannya menggunakan Research & Development. Hasil pembelajaran di kelompok eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan kelompok kontrol. Abstract

Abstract: The objective of this study is to develop the teaching aids of science subjects required, based on kurikulum 2013 at seven grade students in global warming material. In this study, it will be developed the teaching aids of science to support the implementation of kurikulum 2013. This is because of the teaching aids of science is one of supporting the learning effectiveness. Moreover of kurikulum 2013, the writer looked, there were not the teaching aidsof scienceavailability in learning yet. While the specific purposes are; 1) to determine the characteristic of teaching aids, 2) to determine the teaching aids validity. This study was conducted in June to August 2014. It was held in Physics Laboratory at University of PGRI Semarang. The method was mix-method design. The quantitative analysis has done statistically to determine the experts’ validation. While the qualitative analysis to the data of validation sheet, interview, observation and other qualitative data. Based on the study result, the conclusion is the teaching aids design of integrated natural science of seven grade students at global warning material was obtained the teaching aids appropriate to the valid minimal criteria, based on the analysis by physicist, biologist and chemist. The average of validator evaluation was obtained a perfectly valid criterion, making it feasible to use in learning.Key words: Teaching Aids, Integrated Natural Science, Global Warming

Abstract

CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT USING LABORATORY INQUIRY APPROACH IDENTIFY OF ALGAE MATERIAL  ABSTRACT Student of class A II has the academic potential of above average compared to other classes. But on the other hand, the ability of the students during the practical is very slow, and the ability of students in the identification of preparations is lacking. Through monitoring and observation, the researchers also see the curiosity and hard work of each individual student is less. Learning through Inquiry approach is expected value of the individual characters e.g. discipline, curiosity, honesty, hard work and tolerance develop. The objective of the study is to determine of increasing character of the individual and the level of understanding of algae material. This study uses classroom action research in two cycles. Data collection techniques using character observation with rating scale sheets. The results showed an increase in the character of the individual student. The score of mastery learning in classical reached 94.7 %. So, the indicator has achieved ≥ 75% on research success. Based on the results of this study concluded that there is an increased individual character and the students of biology education’ material understanding in Plant Taxonomy 1 learning through inquiry approach Key words: students’ individual character, inquiry approach, classroom action research  ABSTRAK Mahasiswa kelas II A IKIP PGRI Semarang memiliki potensi akademik di atas rata-rata dibandingkan dengan kelas yang lain. Namun di sisi lain, kemampuan mahasiswa selama praktikum sangat lambat, dan kemampuan mahasiswa dalam identifikasi preparat sangatlah kurang. Melalui pengamatan dan observasi, kami juga melihat rasa ingin tahu, kejujuran, kerja keras dan toleransi dapat berkembang. Tujuan dari penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan karakter individu dan tingkat pemahaman materi algae. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas dengan 2 siklus. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi karakter dengan lembar rating scale. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan karakter individu mahasiswa. Nilai ketuntasan belajar secara klasikal mencapai 94,7%, sehingga telah mencapai ≥ 75% indikator keberhasilan penelitian secara klasikal. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada peningkatan karakter individu dan pemahaman materi mahasiswa Pendidikan Biologi dalam praktikum Taksonomi Tumbuhan 1 melalui pembelajaran dengan pendekatan inquiry. Abstract

AbstractEach Posdaya (Pos Pemberdayaan Keluarga/Family Empowerment Post) is expected to have four important pillars: education, health, entrepreneurship, and the environment. Posdaya Kusuma Jaya which is the best Posdaya in Semarang is located in the South Muktiharjo still not optimal in developing Posdaya in the environmental field. So there needs to maximize the field of innovation through the creation of an aquaponics. Aquaponics is an integrated crop cultivation techniques with fish ponds, the use of continuous water from fish to plant maintenance and vice versa from the plant to the fish pond. The basis of the system of this technology is the optimum water supply for each commodity by using re-circulating system. In conclusion through IbM Posdaya Kusuma Jaya Muktiharjo Kidul Pedurungan Semarang community can optimize one Posdaya field is the field of the environment. Besides, this IbM hopefully can increase knowledge and skills of the people in the manufacture of aquaponics.Keywords: Posdaya, Aquaponics, Environment
