Abstract

Groundwater is part of the hydrologic cycle. Aquifers are recharged from precipitation, seepage from rivers, and an other kinds of run off. Its an importants water resource for domestic, industrial and agricultural use. The water demands for urban activity are increase rapidly. Consequently in this case the government to investigate groundwater potency in Padang area seriously. This research was located at Padang Sarai Koto Tangah regency. This study is approached by the hydrogeological survey by Geoelectric Schlumberger configuration and aquifer potential survey pumpingtest. Both methods are expected to investigate the aquifer condition.and well data field. The investigation result shows that in area study was a good ground water potential. The aquifer potential lies at depth of about 90 – 180 meter and having discharge Qopt 3 – 7 lt/sec.

Abstract

Geoelectric resistivity method is one of a branch of geophysics method that is able detect an electric current in the earth subsurface. One of the application of geoelectric resistivity method is able to identify the quifer layer in subsurface.This research used the resistivity geoelectric method Schlumberger configuration. Study of investigation was located at Pasir Parupuk Tabing Padang. The investigations are conducted two sessions there are longitudinal direction and tranversal direction. Both directions have 600 m length. The investigation result shows that the area study have a good groundwater potential indicated by an aquifer having the character of sallow water table and unconfined aquifer. The aquifer potential lies at depth of about 55 – 125 meter.

Abstract

Banjir Kanal sengaja dibangun sebagai sarana pengendalian banjir yang sering dihadapi kota Padang. Pendangkalan kanal atau saluran akibat adanya pengendapan sedimen di sepanjang saluran dan dimuara, sangat berpengaruh terhadap kelancaran aliran terutama saat terjadi banjir. Akibatnya Banjir Kanal tidak dapat berfungsi optimal malahan akan menimbulkan masalah baru. Agar Banjir Kanal dapat berfungsi sesuai dengan perencanaan maka perlu dilakukan kajian tentang angkutan sedimen yang berlangsung pada alirannya serta dampak yang ditimbulkanny, terutama adalah berupa deposit sediment pada bahagian muara. Angkutan sedimen yang terdapat pada suatu aliran, terdiri dari angkutan dasar (Bed Load) dan angkutan sedimen suspensi (Suspended Load). Pengukuran dan pengambilan sampel angkutan sedimen ini dilaksanakan langsung di lapangan. Selanjutnya data pengukuran dihitung dan dianalisa dilaboratorium. Hasil dari kajian didapatkan bahwa besarnya angkutan sedimen dan deposit sedimen yang menyebabkan pendangkalan dapat diestimasi sesuai dengan debit aliran pada saat itu. Selanjutnya antara sedimen suspensi dan debit aliran mempunyai hubungan yang signifikan secara eksponensial.

Abstract

Many problems has in sediment transport such as scouring process, sedimentation, pollutant, etc, consequently the information about turbulence intensity, often needed. By The Root Mean Square (RMS), which is based on the velocity distribution data, in generally can used to predict the turbulence intensity. Often many constrains was founded in the field, during the measurement of the river flows to be done, such as to decided certain point location of measurement of wide river section, this fact lead inaccuracies in the prediction of turbulence intensity.Characteristic of turbulence intensity in this research was collect by direct experiment method, used rectangular section of flume transversally. Data collection measured by five locations ½ B, ¼ B, 1/8B 1/16 B and 1/30 B, where B is flume width. Velocity and sediment concentration of flows was measured by probe device. Result of the research shown that distribution of turbulence intensity of flow value is rise transversally. The increasing of suspended sediment concentration could descendant of the turbulence intensity.

Abstract

Soil stabilization with additive materials cement is one of the alternatives to soil improvement. Usage of cement for the materials of soil stabilization, beside because easy go to cement and many there are specially in Padang, execution of soil stabilization by using cement additive materials is easy to do. Testing which cove the physical nature that covering specific gravity for original soil that have been mixed by materials of cement additive liquid limit, plastic limit which is each was also conducted to original soil and soil mixed by cement additive, and also the mechanical properties suchas consolidation that all the test followed ASTM standards. Cement additive materials rate used is 0 (original soil), 5 %, 10 %, and 15 % with respect to dry weight of soil, where before made by object test in each mixture done by examination of condensation and each object test was cured former each during 0, 3, 7 and 14 days. The index value to original soil plasticity is 29,62%. After stabilization with cement additive materials make degradation to the plasticity index of the original soil, where degradation that happened as according to improvement of rate of cement additive. From the test of consolidation conducted the behavior that is progressively go up usage of rate of cement additive, hence will cause progressively go down that to compression index value (Cc).

Abstract

Peredam energi ganda merupakan kelengkapan suatu bendung yang berfungsi meredam energi di hilir bendung, agar gerusan lokal (local scouring) dapat diminimalisir. Struklur dari peredam energi ganda terdiri dari pelimpah yang digandakan mercu (cresf) dan kolam olakannya. Beda tinggi kedua mercu berserta kolam olak belum ada nilai optimalnya, oleh karena itu perlu adanya penelitian untuk mendapatkan nilai tersehrt, sehingga peredaman energi dapat dilakukan seoara optimal. Optimalisasi yang dilakukan adalah dengan cara memvariasikan beda tinggi mercu dan kolam olakkan untuk beberapa debit tertentu dalam beberapa running dengan memperhatikan besamya bilangan Froude dan besamya gerusan yang terjadi di hilir bendung sebagai indikator. Hasil penelitian di peroleh maka peredaman energi akan berlangsung lebih baik dari elevasi yang lebih tinggi ke elevasi yang lebih rendah dengan aspect ratio 3,6<H/B<4

Abstract

Akibat adanya gaya sentrifugal di tikungan saluran maka kecepatan aliran arah transversal akan meningkat di outer bank. Fenomena ini tentu akan mempengaruhi distribusi konsentrasi sedimen suspensi rata-rata kedalaman. Perubahan distribusi konsentrasi sedimen suspensi.hanya akan dapat diketahui dengan melakukan penelitian secara langsung pada alran menikung di lapangan atau di laboratorium.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui profil distribusi konsentrasi sedmen suspensi dari pengukuran di lapangan, kemudian dibandingkan dengan profil distribusi konsentrasi sedmen suspensi prediksi berdasarkan persamaan Rouse.Penelitian dilakukan di Saluran Irigasi Mataram Yogyakarta. Saluran yang diteliti berpenampang segi empat dengan kedalaman rata-rata 1.50 meter dan lebar 4.22 meter serta sudut tikungan 570. Terbuat dari pasangan batu, sedangkan dasar saluran terdiri dari tanah, pasir dan batuan. Pengukuran konsentrasi sedimen suspensi menggunakan Opcon Probe. Prediksi konsentrasi sedimen suspensi menggunakan persamaan Rouse.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa akibat perubahan kecepatan aliran di tikungan maka konsentrasi sedimen suspensi rata-rata kedalaman  juga mengalami perubahan. Secara umum konsentrasi sedimen suspensi rata-rata tampang ke arah sisi luar tikungan mengalami pengurangan dan sebaliknya ke arah sisi dalam tikungan semakin meningkat. Konsentrasi sedimen suspensi rata-rata tampang dapat diwakili berdasarkan pengambilan sampelnya pada jarak z =0,46 B atau 0,46 lebar saluran diukur dari inner bank.Persamaan Rouse masih dapat digunakan untuk memprediksi distribusi konsentrasi sedimen suspensi dengan baik. Kecepatan yang rendah di sisi dalam saluran menyebabkan butiran sedimen yang lebih besar mengendap dan berpotensi terjadi pendangkalan. Kata kunci: Distribusi konsentrasi, Sedimen suspensi dan, Arah transversal
