Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of understanding of math concepts class X student of SMAN 3 Lengayang. One attempt to do is to apply the Hollywood Squares Strategy Review. This study aims to determine the students understanding of mathematical concepts by applying active learning strategies Hollywood Squares Review type is better than the students understanding of mathematical concepts with conventional learning in class X SMAN 3 Lengayang. This type of research is experimental research study design Against Random Subjects. Instrument in this study is the final test with indicator of understanding the concept. The data analysis technique used is the one party t test with the help of Minitab software. Hypothesis test results obtained P-value = 0.004 is less than α = 0.05, then the hypothesis in this study received. It can be concluded that the students understanding of mathematical concepts by applying Active Learning Strategies Hollywood Squares Review type is better than the students understanding of mathematical concepts with conventional learning in class X SMAN 3 Lengayang.

Abstract

Students’ mathematic larning outcome of MTsN Gurun Panjang was low. It was one of the factors that showed students’ mastery in mathematic concept was also low. The phenomenon was assumed due to the techer-centered situation during the teaching and learning process in he classroom. Basides, the teachers were assumed lacking in considering students’already existing background knowledge, and the students’ mathematic concept using Fire-up strategy was higher than students’ mathematic concept using conventional model at grade VIII of MTsN Gurun Panjang.The design of the research was experiment. The population was students of grade VIII. The sample was taken randomly. The experiment group was VIII.1 and the control group was VIII.3. The instrument use in the researchwas essay post-test. The data was analyzed using t-test.Based on the data analysis, it was found that students’ average scores of experiment group was 74,04, higher that the control group the was 59. From the Minitab, it was obtained that P-value was 0.006. it showed that P-value was lower than α; 0,05 Therefore, it could be stated than students’ ability in understanding mathematic concept using Fire-Up strategy was better that students using conventional learning at grade VIII MTsN Gurun Panjang.

Abstract

 ABSTRAKTelah dilakukan penelitian tentang analisis sifat-sifat fisik keramik berbahan dasar tanah liat dengan bahan tambahan abu ampas tebu (AAT) dan abu sekam padi (ASP). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh variasi komposisi bahan tambahan AAT dan ASP terhadap sifat-sifat fisik dari densitas, susut bakar, daya serap air dan kuat tekan pada keramik. Pembuatan sampel keramik menggunakan bahan campuran tanah liat, ASP, AAT dengan komposisi yang bervariasi yaitu A (70,0,30), B (70,10,20), C (70,15,15), D (70,20,10) dan E (70,30,0), kemudian dibentuk dalam cetakan berukuran π cm2x4 cm lalu dipadatkan menggunakan alat Press hidrolik hingga tekanan 5 MPa. Sampel tersebut selanjutnya dipanaskan dalam tanur pada suhu 600 oC selama 2 jam. Pengukuran dimensi, massa dan gaya tekan pada sampel masing-masing menggunakan jangka sorong, neraca analitik dan alat press TNM tipe TN20MD. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan kuat tekan menunjukkan bahwa sampel  berkualitas baik, di mana memenuhi standar (SNI,1996) yaitu B,C,D dan E. Diantara ke-4 sampel tersebut, sampel E (70,30,0) merupakan sampel keramik yang memenuhi kualitas terbaik karena memiliki kuat tekan dan densitas tertinggi, susut bakar dan daya serap terendah yaitu berturut-turut 17,77 MPa, 1,60 gr/cm3, 4,10% dan 25%. Dari hasil perhitungan yang diperoleh tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa penambahan ASP yang berlebihan dapat menurunkan kualitas keramik, sebaliknya penambahan AAT yang lebih banyak dapat meningkatkan kualitas keramik.Kata kunci: Tanah liat, Abu sekam padi, Abu ampas tebu, sifat-sifat fisik keramikABSTRACT Analysis of the physical properties of ceramic based on the main constituent of clay and the additional constituents of bagasse ash (BA) and rice husk ash (RHA) has ben conducted. The purpose of this research is to know the effect of various compositions from BA and RHA additional constituens forward to the physical properties of density, burned shrinkage, water absorption and compressive strength on ceramics. In preparation of ceramic sample, the materials of elay, BA and RHA were mixed five different compositions of A (70,0,30), B (70,10,20), C (70,15,15), D (70,20,10) and E (70,30,0), then formed in a mold sized  π cm2 x 4 cm and further compressed using a hydraulic press tool up to a pressure of 5 MPa. The samples were then heated in a furnace at 600 OC for 2 hours. Measurements of dimensions, mass and compressive forces on each sample were used the threshold, analytical balance and TNM TN20MD type TNM press tool respectively. Based on the compressive strength calculation shows that  good quality sample, which obey  the standard (SNI, 1996) are B, C, D and E. All of them, sample E (70,30,0) is a the best qualityeld ceramic sample because  the highest compressive strength and density, and the lowest burned shrinkage and absorption are 17,77 MPa, 1,60 gr/cm3, 4,10% and 25%, respectively. From the analysis results obtained can be concluded that the addition of excessive rice husk ash (RHA) can reduce the quality of ceramics, otherwise the addition of more bagasse ash (BA) can improve the quality of ceramics.  Keyword : Clay, Ashes of bagasse, ash rice husk, and physical properties of ceramic.

Abstract

This research aims to study the levels of formaldehyde in some salted fish market in Kendari. This research used descriptive method, where the research was conducted to determine the value of an independent variable, either one or more variables (independent) without comparison or connect with other variables. Descriptive method conducted there are two types of extensive qualitative and intensive quantitative survey. The results showed that the respondents require salted fish that are free of formaldehyde and screaning results showed that 7 out of 9 samples or 77.8% identified using formaline as a preservative. formalin levels obtained different, the highest formalin levels in the wet market 3 at 27 mg / g and the lowest levels in the wet market 2 is 15.8 mg / g. Based on the results of descriptive analysis showed that the levels of formalin contained within salted fish traded in traditional markets high (not secure) compared with the results of other studies and the tolerance limits are accepted by the body by IPCS. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hasil evaluasi pelaksanaan pembelajaran matematika di Lembaga Agama Islam Muhammadiyah Sinjai, di samping penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan masalah yang muncul dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran matematika di Lembaga Agama Islam Muhammadiyah Sinjai yang meliputi perencanaan pembelajaran , implementasi pembelajaran, dan penilaian pembelajaran semester. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuesioner, lembar observasi dan, dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah dosen matematika yang mengajar di Program Studi Matematika sebanyak 3 dosen yang memiliki latar belakang pendidikan magister berbeda. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis data kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Evaluasi Konteks, dalam aspek ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat kesesuaian antara kesiapan sekolah, staf pengajar, dengan tujuan program pembelajaran matematika di Institut Agama Islam Muhammadiyah Sinjai, dikategorikan sangat baik, (2) Input Evaluasi, pada aspek input pembelajaran Matematika untuk mata pelajaran SY, IM dan FT berada dalam kategori baik (B), (3) Evaluasi Proses, dalam aspek proses pelaksanaan pembelajaran matematika untuk mata pelajaran SY dan IM dalam kategori baik dan untuk mata pelajaran FT dalam kategori cukup, (4) Evaluasi Produk, Penilaian pembelajaran matematika oleh guru berdasarkan kurikulum Program Studi dalam mata pelajaran SY, IM dan FT berada dalam kategori cukup. Kata kunci: Evaluasi konteks, input evaluasi, evaluasi proses, evaluasi produk This study aims to describe the results of evaluating the implementation of mathematics learning at the Islamic Institute of Muhammadiyah Sinjai, in addition to this study to describe the problems that arise in the implementation of mathematics learning at the Islamic Institute of Muhammadiyah Sinjai which includes learning planning, learning implementation, and semester learning assessment. The instruments used in this study were questionnaires, observation sheets and, documentation. The subjects of this study were mathematics lecturers who taught in the Mathematics Study Program as many as 3 lecturers who had different master's educational backgrounds. The data analysis technique used in this study is qualitative data analysis. The results showed that (1) Context Evaluation, in this aspect showed that there was a match between school readiness, teaching staff, with the aim of the mathematics learning program at the Islamic Institut of Muhammadiyah Sinjai, categorized very well, (2) Input Evaluation, on the input aspect Mathematics learning for SY, IM and FT subjects is in a good category (B), (3) Process Evaluation, in the aspects of the process of implementing mathematics learning for SY and IM subjects in the good category and for FT subjects in the sufficient category, (4) Product Evaluation, Assessment of mathematics learning by teachers based on the Study Program curriculum in SY, IM and FT subjects is in the sufficient category.
