Abstract

Brake is one one of system in vehicle. It has very vital function, especially in safety aspect for both the driver himself and other whenever that vehicle is in the road. Since it has essential function, the condition of brake must be checked regularly. Overhaul must be conducted periodically to guarantee the perfectness of this system. This writing is an alternative to reduce or to avoid problem which often occur in hydrolic breaking system of jeep and station wagon. This modification has been applied with satisfactory result, according to the writer who often gets complains before modifying this material. After applying this experiment.

Abstract

Temporary heat storage from heat air solar collector source has been studied in this experiment. Paraffin, as phase change material (PCM) is used as a working object in storage system. The heat air transfer is enhanced from the heat exchanger, a numbers of fin aluminum plates, which caused increasing of heat transfer. These varieties mass flow rates and some exchangers solar energy such as heater electric and solar energy, were examined by using power supply fan DC (3V, 6V, 7,5V, 9V), and heater (350W, 700W, 900W, 1600W). Storage system and channel are isolated by glass wool, so heat transfer to surroundings could be minimizes. Storage capacity PCM is by melting time is 4 hours and 28,2 minutes in temperature melting. Experimental data acquisition research shows that it’s have the same average temperature distribution. The PCM can be function about 5oC on source heater energy and about 1oC from experimental solar collector.  The average efficiency from solar collector storage system is about 16,39% and Coefisien of Performance is 1,13. So based on ths experiment,  storage PCM solar colector system can be used as heat storage by increased source heat air and restore on it, and can be used again  after heat air source decreased.

Abstract

Pneumatic and Hydraulic Control System uses many components to build the process circuit. Reducing the number of component can improve the benefit of the company. DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control) process can help the manager to reduce the component in Pneumatic and Hydraulic Control System. Pneumatic circuit with logical method using AND & OR gate, one of the method, will be analyze and improve with DMAIC process. The output example of this process can reduce using of AND gate from 13 to 10 pieces. Control of this process is running of the redesign circuit at the pneumatic laboratory. This process also can improve the efficiency of the redesign circuit again and again.

Abstract

A compressor is a mechanical device used to increase fluid pressure, both gas and air pressure. The most used compressors are SDP 07-25 ¾ HP 25L compressors. Then Cylinder Block is a component inside the compressor that functions as the place where the piston and ring work to take place to do the work process, suction, compression and exhaust. The emergence of the idea of the process of reproducing Cylinder Block is so that an organization or company is able to produce independently of the Cylinder Block and to minimize costs in the production process.
