Abstract

Practicum is one vehicle for learning science in the implementation of the curriculum in 2013. Teacher as a model to be able to carry out practical activities. The purpose of this study was to determine the ability of junior high school science teachers in Bandar Lampung to conduct laboratory activities. The research sample were 69 junior high school science teacher in Bandar Lampung. The analysis used is descriptive analysis. The results showed that in general the average 51.7% of teachers have not been able correspondent practicum activities correctly, with details of 65% has not been able to test the activities of food substances; 29% have not been able to perform photosynthesis activity; 62% have not been able to carry out practical activities respiration test. Thus, it can be conluded that the ability of junior high school science teachers in Bandar Lampung on carrying out practical activities are still low catagorize.Kegiatan praktikum merupakan salah satu wahana pembelajaran IPA dalam implementasi kurikulum 2013. Guru sebagai model harus mampu dalam melakukan kegiatan praktikum. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kemampuan guru-guru IPA SMP se-Bandar Lampung dalam melakukan kegiatan praktikum. Sampel penelitian ini adalah 69 orang guru IPA SMP se-Bandar Lampung. Analisa yang digunakan menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Hasil Penelitian menunjukan bahwa secara umum rata-rata 51,7% koresponden guru belum mampu melakukan kegiatan praktikum dengan benar. Dengan rincian 65% belum mampu melakukan kegiatan uji kandungan zat makanan; 29% belum mampu melakukan kegiatan fotosintesis; 62% belum mampu melaksanakan kegiatan praktikum uji respirasi. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan guru-guru IPA SMP se-Bandar Lampung dalam melaksanakan kegiatan praktikum masih berkatagori rendah.Kata kunci: guru IPA, praktikum, uji fotosintesis, uji kandungan zat makanan, uji respirasi

Abstract

The effective laboratory management was one factor that determine the learning process based on practical laboratory. Teacher who  has important influence on practical should manage laboratory optimally. The purpose to determine the ability of junior high school science teachers to manage laboratory. The samples were six junior high school in Bandar Lampung which was taken by purposive sampling. This research used descriptive analysis and observe four aspects: laboratory management as practical place, practical planning, practical implementation, and knowledge about authentic assessment. The result showed that the ability of junior high school science teachers have value 37,3. One school have good criteria and the other have very bad criteria. The conclusion is teachers ability in manage laboratory have bad criteria in laboratory management as practical place, planning, authentic assessment, and have very bad criteria in practical implementation. Pengelolaan laboratorium yang efektif merupakan salah satu faktor yang menentukan proses pembelajaran berbasis praktikum. Guru yang memiliki peranan penting dalam praktikum harus dapat mengelola laboratorium secara optimal. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui kemampuan guru dalam mengelola laboratorium. Subjek penelitian, yaitu enam SMP negeri Bandar Lampung dengan teknik purposive sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif sederhana dan mengamati empat aspek, yaitu: pengelolaan laboratorium sebagai tempat praktikum, perencanaan, pelaksanaan praktikum, dan penilaian autentik. Hasil observasi menunjukan bahwa rata-rata kemampuan guru dalam mengelola laboratorium memiliki nilai 37,3. Satu sekolah memiliki kemampuan kriteria baik sedangkan sekolah lainnya memiliki kriteria sangat kurang. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah kemampuan guru dalam mengelola laboratorium sebagai tempat praktikum, perencanaan dan penilaian autentik memiliki kriteria kurang sedangkan kemampuan melaksanakan praktikum berkriteria sangat kurang. Kata kunci: kemampuan guru, SMP, mengelola laboratorium

Abstract

This research aimed to find out the description about the ability of natural science teacher at private junior high school Bandar Lampung in managing the laboratory. Design of the research was simple descriptive by purposive sampling technique, there were 14 teachers from 6 private junior high schools in Bandar Lampung. Data of the research were qualitative data from score assessment conversion that acquired by the questionnaire of science laboratory management, observation, and knowledge test. Result of the research showed that the ability of teacher was categorized very good just at one school that was respondent 2 (88.22). It was categorized very bad on respondent 1 (52.18), respondent 6 (36.29), respondent 4 (18.12), res­pondent 3 (17.03), and respondent 5 (11.87).The conclusion showed that the schools’ average in managing the laboratory was very bad. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui deskripsi kemampuan guru IPA di SMP swasta Bandar Lampung dalam mengelola laboratorium. Desain penelitian adalah deskriptif sederhana dengan teknik purposive sampling, sebanyak 14 orang guru IPA dari 6 SMP swasta Bandar Lampung. Data penelitian berupa data kualitatif hasil konversi skor penilaian yang diperoleh berdasarkan penilaian melalui angket pengelolaan laboratorium IPA, observasi, dan tes pengetahuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kemampuan guru yang dikategorikan sangat baik hanya terdapat di satu sekolah yaitu responden 2 (88.22). Dikategorikan kurang sekali pada responden 1 (52.18), responden 6 (36.29), responden 4 (18.12), res­ponden 3 (17.03), dan responden 5 (11.87). Dapat disimpulkan bahwa nilai rata-rata sekolah dalam penge­lolaan laboratorium dikategorikan kurang sekali. Kata kunci : kemampuan guru, SMP swasta, mengelola laboratorium

Abstract

 The purpose of this research was to determine the influence of problem solvings’ learning in increasing students’ argumentation skill and students’ learning outcomes. The samples were students of VIIA and VIIB SMPN 19 Bandar Lampung chosen by Purposive Sampling technique. The research used pretest-postest non equivalent design. The qualitative data were the assesment sheet of argumentation skill and student responses that were analyzed descriptively. The quantitative data were the learning outcomes that was analyzed by using T-test. The increasing in the average of students’ argumentation skill of experiment class was (51,4%). The result of students’ learning outcomes with N-gain average (51,9) was significantly different with class control (29,4). Most of students (81,5%) showed positive responses. Therefore, problem solving’s learning could improve students’ argumentation skill and learning outcomes.Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh model Problem Solving terhadap kemampuan berargumentasi dan hasil belajar siswa. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIIA dan VIIB SMPN 19 Bandar Lampung yang dipilih dengan teknik Purposive Sampling. Desain penelitian menggunakan pretest-postest non equivalent. Data  kualitatif berupa data kemampuan berargumentasi siswa dan tanggapan siswa terhadap model Problem Solving yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Data kuantitatif berupa hasil belajar siswa yang dianalisis dengan Uji T. Peningkatan rata-rata kemampuan berargumentasi siswa kelas eksperimen sebesar (51,4%). Hasil belajar siswa kelas eksperimen dengan rata-rata N-gain (51,9) berbeda signifikan dengan kelas kontrol (29,4). Sebagian besar siswa (81,5%) memberikan tanggapan positif terhadap model Problem Solving. Sehingga, penggunaan model Problem Solving dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berargumentasi dan hasil belajar siswa. Kata kunci: hasil belajar, kemampuan berargumentasi, problem solving

Abstract

This research aimed to determine the teachers’ ability to plan and implementation an authentic assessment in Junior High School in Palas South Lampung. This research was descriptive simple. Research sampling method was purposive sampling, thus obtained 10 science teachers. The research data were qualitative data the form of a picture of a teachers’ ability to plan and implementation an authentic assessment in science subject were analysis with simple descriptive. The result showed that teachers’ planning ability on authentic assesment have score 87 in good criteria and teachers’ implementation ability on authentic assesment have score 38 in adequate criteria. Thus, it can be concluded the teachers’ planning ability in good criteria and the teachers’ implementation ability in adequate criteria on Junior High School in Palas.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan guru dalam merencanakan dan melaksanakan penilaian autentik pada mata pelajaran IPA di SMP se-kecamatan Palas kabupaten Lampung Selatan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif sederhana. Metode sampling yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling sehingga diperoleh 10 guru IPA. Data penelitian adalah data kualitatif, berupa gambaran tentang kemampuan guru dalam merencanakan dan melaksanakan penilaian autentik pada mata pelajaran IPA yang dianalisis secara deskriptif sederhana. Dari hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa kemampuan guru dalam merencanakan penilaian autentik memperoleh skor 87 dengan kriteria baik dan kemampuan guru dalam melaksanakan penilaian auutentik memperoleh skor 38 dengan kriteria cukup. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan guru IPA SMP dan MTs se-kecamatan Palas dalam merencanakan penilaian autentik berkriteria baik dan pelaksanaannya berkriteria cukup.Kata kunci : IPA, kemampuan guru, penilaian autentik

Abstract

 The purpose of this research was to know the influence of problem based learnings (PBL) model on argumentations’ skill and students’ result study on the management of environmental subject matter. The design of this research was quasi experimental with non equivalent pretest-postest. The samples of this research was the students at VIIH and VIID  which was chosen from the population by purposive sampling. The quantitative data were obtained from pretest, posttest, and N-gain score which was analyzed statistics using t-test. The qualitative data in form of argumentations’ skill and questionnaire of students response on using of PBL model. The indicators of an argument include the claim, data, warrants, backing, and rebuttal. Argumentations’ skill average on experiment class get sufficient criteria (55%). This increasing was followed by student result study with N-gain average (67). Based on this research, it could be concluded  that the PBL model give influence to argumentations’ skill and students’ result study. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL), terhadap kemampuan berargumentasi dan hasil belajar siswa pada materi pokok pengelolaan lingkungan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu dengan desain pretest-postest non equivalen. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIIH dan VIID yang dipilih dari populasi secara purposive sampling. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari nilai pretest, postest dan N-gain yang dianalisis secara statistik menggunakan uji-t. Data kualitatif berupa deskripsi kemampuan berargumentasi dan tanggapan siswa terhadap model PBL. Indikator kemampuan berargumentasi meliputi claim, data, warrant, backing, dan rebuttal. Rata-rata kemampuan berargumentasi pada kelas eksperimen berkriteria “cukup” (55%). Meningkatnya kemampuan berargumentasi diikuti dengan meningkatnya hasil belajar siswa dengan rata-rata N-gain (67). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran PBL berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan berargumentasi dan hasil belajar siswa. Kata kunci: hasil belajar, kemampuan berargumentasi, problem based learning

Abstract

This research was carried out in class VIIA  SMP N 1 Negeri Katon. The purpose of research was to find out oral communication  skill  and  students’  learning  outcome  through  NHT  learning model. The design of this research was pretest, postest and n-gain which was analyzed with T test and U test. The qualitative data were oral communication skill and students’ questionaire which obtained from student observation sheet with using NHT learning model which was analyzed descriptively. The result showed  that  by  using  NHT  learning  model  could  increase students’  learning outcome, it could be seen from the average of n-gain in experiment class (69,00) that  was  higher  than  control  class  with  the  average  of  n-gain  (35,00).  The average of observation percentage oral communication skill get sufficient characterized that was 71,52%.Whereas the was filled questionaire with positive response toward the use of NHT learning model.Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP N 1 Negeri Katon kelas VIIA.  Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui  kemampuan  berkomunikasi  lisan  dan  hasil  belajar  siswa  melalui model pembelajaran NHT. Desain penelitian ini adalah pretest-postest kelompok non ekuivalen. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari nilai pretest, postest, dan n-gain yang dianalisis menggunakan uji t dan uji U. Data kualitatif berupa data kemampuan komunikasi lisan dan angket tanggapan siswa yang diperoleh dari lembar  observasi  siswa  dengan  perlakuan  menggunakan  model  pembelajaran NHT  dianalisis  secara  deskriptif.  Hasil  penelitian  menunjukkan  penggunaan model NHT dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa, terlihat pada rata-rata n-gain kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi sebesar 69,00 berbeda signifikan dengan kelas kontrol dengan rata-rata n-gain sebesar 35,00. Hasil rata-rata persentase observasi kemampuan komunikasi lisan siswa memiliki kriteria cukup 71,52%. Sedangkan angket berisi tanggapan positif terhadap penggunaan model pembelajaran NHT.Kata kunci: hasil belajar, komunikasi lisan, numbered heads together

Abstract

The forests have many functions as a source of germplasm for riches varieties of flora and fauna. However, the function of forests has now become indispensable for elephants as shelter and feeding sites. Through this study examines the environmental damage that restricts animal population Elepas maximus sumantresis through methods explainatory survey method. The population in this study was the overall number of animals that were the Sumatran elephant in Lampung Province. The results showed that in the last 10 years occurred a decrease in forest land area in Lampung povinsi of 7.05% or an area of 234 004 ha. While in the previous 12 years (1985-1997) were deforested much as 23.873%. These conditions resulted in a decline of the elephant population is a species endemic in Lampung province by 69% of potential elephant habitat in the last 25 years.Hutan memiliki banyak fungsi sebagai sumber plasma nutfah bagi kekayaan varietas flora dan fauna. Namun, fungsi hutan kini menjadi tergantikan bagi gajah sebagai tempat hunian dan tempat mencari makan. Melalui penelitian ini mengkaji mengenai kerusakan lingkungan yang membatasi populasi satwa Elepas maximus sumantresis melalui metode explainatory survey method. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah keseluruhan jumlah satwa gajah sumatera yang berada di Provinsi Lampung. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa dalam 10 tahun terakhir tejadi penurunan luas lahan Hutan di povinsi lampung sebesar 7,05% atau seluas 234.004 ha. Sementara dalam kurun waktu 12 tahun sebelumnya (1985-1997) mengalami deforestasi sebanyak 23,873%. Kondisi ini mengakibatkan penurunan terhadap populasi gajah yang merupakan satwa endemik di Provinsi Lampung sebesar 69% habitat potensial gajah dalam 25 tahun terakhir.Kata kunci: Elepas maximus sumantresis, kerusakan hutan, Lampung

Abstract

Doctoral study programs or S3 courses are demands and requirements for lecturers. Due to the demands of the profession to be more qualified to carry out the tasks of tridharma education, namely teaching, research and community service. In addition, the need for campus accreditation is also to keep it good and getting better. With this motivation, the lecturers try to continue the S3 study program with a scholarship program both government and internal campus. AMIKOM University collaborates with S3 scholarships with UTeM (Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka) and UMP (Universiti Malaysia Pahang). Lecturers who get the scholarship are also selected according to the criteria determined by the YIKYAKARTA AMIKOM University. The party that chooses the lecturer is in the PSDM section. In the election it was still done manually by matching or selecting criteria determined by the campus by fulfilling the criteria possessed by the lecturers who proposed the scholarship program. The method that will be used to select this is the Profile Matching or GAP method, which is one method of solving problems that provide ranking to the alternatives chosen based on predetermined criteria.

Abstract

Inflammation is a tissue injury that occurs due to physical trauma or microbiological substances that involve the activities of many cell types. Inflammation can be prevented using the natural medicines from Allium cepa L. Quercetin is one of the bioactive compounds found in Allium cepa L and has been reported to have anti-inflammatory activity. The natural medicines have been used to minimize non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. This study aims to investigated the modeling structures and the protein receptor from quecertin in inflammation mechanism and their optimization of the effectiveness in the human body. The bioinformatics tools used in this study are the database of quercetin compounds, Pubchem and Swis Target Prediction protein prediction databases, PyRx 0.8 molecular docking software, ligand docking, and binding site analysis with PyMOL and LigPlus software. The results from in silico show that quercetin compounds can interact with Muscleblind-like protein 1 target protein with a Binding Affinity minus value which is not much different from the dexamethasone compound. Dexamethason is a standart because it is a corticosteroid drug that can be used as an anti-inflammatory to reduce inflammation, allergic reactions, arthritis and other inflammatory diseases.
