Abstract

Kecukupan ketersediaan pangan dalam jumlah dan mutunya merupakan aspek penting dalam mewujudkan ketahanan pangan nasional karena dapat memperbesar akses bagi penduduk untuk memperoleh pangan. Angka kecukupan ketersediaan energi dan protein dengan skor mutu pola pangan harapan yang dianjurkan dalam Widyakarya Pangan dan Gizi ke VI tahun 1998 menjadi indikator penilaian aspek ketersediaan dari ketahanan pangan nasional.Keragaman ketahanan pangan dengan indikator rata-rata ketersediaan jumlah gizi per kapita per hari tergolong sangat kuat yang ditunjukkan oleh perbandingan ketersediaan dengan angka kecukupan konsumsi energi melebihi 45 persen sedangkan protein melebihi 67 persen. Namun ditinjau dari mutu pangannya, belum mencapai mutu pola pangan harapan yang ditunjukkan oleh masih rendahnya sumbangan buah, sayur dan pangan hewani dalam ketersediaan pangan dan gizi.Dukungan impor telah meningkatkan ketersediaan dan memperkuat ketahanan pangan nasional tetapi mengandalkan peningkatan ketersediaan dari peningkatan produksi pangan dalam negeri akan lebih aman dan lebih berpihak kepada kelangsungan usaha petani produsen pangan yang umumnya berskala usaha sangat kecil dan berpendapatan rendah

Abstract

Soybean crop area that is unstable causing the production of soybean in the District Grobogan as one of the centers in Central Java soybean fluctuated sharply. This study aims to 1) Review and analyze the factors that affect soybean supply in the District Grobogan and 2) Review and analyze the elasticity of supply in the District Grobogan soybean due to changes in the factors that influence it. He method used in this research is descriptive method. Determination of the study area is done by purposive technique with consideration of the area has the largest soybean yield compared to other districts, namely Grobogan district with 15,71 quintal per hectare productivity. Results of secondary data analysis states that the supply function model of soybean in the District Grobogan is Qt = bo + 13,544 Pt-1 to 0,098 Qt-1 + 1,404 At – Purea 24,119 – 3,077 + 7,191 Wt PSP36 with coefficient of determination 0,891 Calculated F value obtained at 15,030, which means that the variable price of soybeans a year earlier, the amount of soybean production last year, the total area harvested during the year, the price of urea fertilizer, the price of SP 36 on the year.

Abstract

Agroindustri ubi kayu sebagaimana agroindustri lain memiliki masalah yang sama dalam pengembangan. Analisis lingkungan internal dan eksternal untuk mendapatkan matriks IE yang memposisikan agroindustri berbasis ubi kayu di Kabupaten Wonogiri berada pada sel I. Industri pada posisi sel I dapat digambarkan sebagai tumbuh dan membangun. Strukturisasi sistem terhadap 5 (lima) elemen pengembangan dengan menggunakan Interpretive Structural Modelling (ISM) dengan lima elemen yakni: 1) elemen kendala program; 2) elemen tolok ukur; 3) elemen tujuan program; 4) elemen aktivitas yang dibutuhkan guna merancang tindakan dan 5) elemen lembaga yang terlibat dalam pelaksanaan program. Hasil dari perumusan strategi berdasarkan analisis terhadap elemen pengembangan program menghasilkan 5 strategi : 1) Intensifikasi Dan Ekstensifikasi Budidaya Ubi Kayu; 2) Diseminasi Inovasi Teknologi Yang Menuju Pada Efisiensi Dalam Proses Produksi; 3) Mengoptimalkan Klaster Ubi Kayu; 4) Memperbaiki Manajemen Usaha Pelaku Agroindustri Berbasis Ubi Kayu dan 5) Penumbuhan Kemitraan dalam Pemasaran.

The Influence of Exchange Rate on CPO Exports of Indonesia

Abstract

This study analyzes the effect of the exchange rate (IDR to US Dollar) on Indonesian CPO exports using Error Correction Model (ECM). The result of ECM analysis showed that exchange rate has a weak effect on Indonesian CPO export. These were due to several things; first, it takes a time to produce CPO. Second, importers are unaware of price changes. Third, policy factors, such as refusal of Indonesian CPO in USA and imposition of high import duty tariff in France. Fourth, price factor of CPO substitution goods and negative issues in the palm oil industry. Fifth, Indonesian exporters were less creative in marketing CPO products than Malaysia. ECM analysis also resulted that CPO production and CPO prices have no effect on Indonesian CPO exports, while the price of soybean oil and CPO production in the previous month has a strong influence on Indonesian CPO exports. Indonesian CPO export is inelastic.

Abstract

Pengeluaran untuk konsumsi pangan dan gizi penduduk Indonesia masih lebih besar dari pengeluaran untuk konsumsi bukan pangan. Peningkatan pendapatan dari penduduk golongan pengeluaran rendah sampai menengah masih akan meningkatkan konsumsi beras dan kalori dengan proporsi penduduk mencapai 72 persen. Penduduk berpendapatan 40 persen terendahn tergolong rawan konsumsi pangan. Pada pengeluaran yang lebih tinggi, konsumsi kalori masih meningkat tetapi konsumsi beras mengalami penurunan  seiring dengan peningkatan diversifikasi konsumsi pangan sumber kalori dari kelompok makanan yang lain.

Abstract

Karanganyar Regency is home to various agricultural resources that can be developed into tourist attractions. However, these resources have not been optimally developed to strengthen the economy. Farmers have contributed to the development of agricultural resources as tourist attractions, even though their participation is still limited to notification efforts, information gathering and discussions. This research aims to 1) find out the needs of the farmers concerning the development of agritourism, 2) explore the regency’s government policies and programs concerning the development of agricultural resources as tourist attractions, and 3) formulate a community-based agritourism development model. Research data were obtained from field observation, in-depth interview, Focus Group Discussion, and content analysis. Data were analyzed using interactive and thematic analysis. The results show that 1) support and facilitation from stakeholders are needed in order to develop agricultural resources as tourist attractions, 2) the regency’s government policies and programs are still limited, and 3) this research leads to the recommendation of Community Empowerment in Developing Agritourism (CEDA) as a model for community-based agritourism development.

Abstract

This article explores gender disparities in ecologically friendly-tourism development, including the involvement, competence, internal and external barriers of women and men.  The data were collected using survey on 400 respondents, consisting of women and men and focus group discussion with 18 informants. The data analysis uses analysis of gender disparities on planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluating the stage of ecologically friendly- tourism development. The finding shows that gender disparities happen in ecologically friendly- tourism development, in which women are still marginalized in terms of their involvement, competency, internal and external barriers.   The highest gender disparities on the involvement of women and men in ecologically friendly-tourism development occurred in the implementation.  Women’s competence is lower than that of men, and women‘s barrier are higher than that of men.    Accordingly, gender mainstreaming in developing environmentally-friendly tourism should be empowered through gender based-financial allocation, especially for eliminating gender stereotip and improving human resources capacities in developing environmentally-friendly tourism.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aims to analyze the broad influence corn field to the household income of corn farmers in Grobogan district, analyze the effect of educational level the head of family to the household income of corn farmers in Grobogan district, analyze the effect of the number of family members to the household income of corn farmers in Grobogan district, analyze the effect the food and non food expenditure to the household income of corn farmers in Grobogan district. Locations were taken intentionally, in Grobogan district, because Grobogan district has the widest corn harvested area in the province of Central Java. Total population that taken in this study is 150 household of corn farmers who scattered in several regions in Grobogan. The sample is a fraction of the number and characteristics which is owned by the population. Samples were corn farmers, the number of samples taken is 60 corn farmers in Grobogan. The results showed that land area of corn gave positive effect on household income of corn farmers in Grobogan, the educational level of husband’s household insignificant, the number of household members has a positive influence on the level of household income, food expenditure had a negative but not significant to household income and non-food expenditures have a significant negative effect on the level of household income. The result of the calculation of the proportion of food consumption and the proportion of non-food consumption showed that the average total expenditure for average food expenditure per farmer per month amounted Rp. 1.023.611,00 while the non-food expenditure amounted Rp. 2.619.552,00.

Abstract

The research aims to determine the cost, revenue, profit of industry milkfish presto Bu Jumiati,  identify internal and external factors that affecting the development industry milkfish presto Bu Jumiati, to determine alternative strategy and strategy priority in development of industry milkfish presto Bu Jumiati. The basic method of research is descriptive with case study implementation technique. The location of the research is determined by purposive in industry milkfish presto Bu Jumiati. Analysis of the data used are (1) Analysis of cost, revenue, and profit, (2) IFE, (3) EFE, (4) SWOT, (5) QSPM. The results showed (1) Total cost of expenditure of Idr 69.043.750, the receipt of Idr 83,4 million, profit of Idr 14.356.250; (2) IFE indicates there are eight strengths and six weaknesses; (3) EFE shows there are five opportunities and five threats; (4) Alternative strategies that can be applied is to seek certificates of PIRT, halal certificate and include expiration date on product packaging, make improvements to bookkeeping management, design sales promotion with online media to increase sales and increase market development, foster strong motivation Owner of industry milkfish presto to attend information technology training and financial management; (5) A good strategic priority to apply is to obtain a PIRT certificate, a Halal certificate and include an expiration date on the product packaging.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the factors that influence consumer preferences in purchasing fruit of tangerine, citrus fruit attributes that are preferred by consumers in choosing fruits tangerines and marketing strategies that can be applied in marketing of fruit tangerine. Factors of consumer preferences on tangerine fruit analyzed in this study were sex, education level, occupation, age, income level and number of family members or dependents in the family. The results show that factor income effect on consumer preferences tangerine fruit in Bojonegoro. While the factors gender, education, age,jobs and the number of family members does not affect the consumers preferences tangerine fruit in Bojonegoro. Based on the analysis Fishbein of research shows that consumer attitudes to attribute more importance tangerine fruit freshness and fruit flavors tangerine which has a value of 1.72 and 0.85 respectively. Meanwhile, the price factor is not a major consideration in selecting fruit consumers tangerines. Based on these factors and attributes that influence consumers to choose fruits tangerines can be formulated alternatives marketing strategies in the fruit tangerine. Strategies that can be done is to optimize the use of seeds prefetch queue, optimizing the mutually beneficial relationship between farmers and traders, increased knowledge of farmers in the cultivation of fruits tangerines and optimize the role of the government to farmers.
