Abstract

Background: Tuberculosis (TB) risk in women increased during the productive age. Various problems can arise if a woman suffering from TB given the role of women, especially married, pregnant, and have children. Her role as a housewife who must carry out the task of physical and mental care of children at the same time taking care of her husband will be disrupted. To determine the chances of marital status, pregnancy, parity, physical activity, level of education, level of knowledge, the kitchen smoke pollution, household contact history, history of comorbidities DM, population density, and spacious house ventilation of TB incidence in women.Methods: The study was observational analytic study with case control design. The sample size is as much as 128 people, consisting of 64 cases and 64 controls. Sampling was done by proportional random sampling technique. Data were analyzed with univariable, bivariable, and multivariable.Results: The results of multivariate analysis, parity (OR 5.9, 95% CI 2.40-14.89, p 0.0001), contact history (OR 4.9, 95% CI 1.75-14.14, p 0.003), pollution kitchen smoke (OR 4.2, 95% CI 1.71-10.67, p 0.002), ventilation (OR 4.2, 95% CI 1.72- 10.44, p 0.002) as a risk factor for TB in women.Conclusion: The incidence of tuberculosis in women in Brebes chance or greater risk inwomen with high parity, a history of contacts, exposure to cooking smoke pollution is high and stay at home with ventilation that do not qualify health requirements.

Abstract

Untuk mendapatkan lahan yang datar pada daerah perbukitan adalah dengan melakukan “cut and fill”, sehingga kemungkinan bangunan dilatakan pada daerah “cut and fill”. Perbedaan kepadatan tanah asli dengan tanah timbunan akan berpengaruh pada daya dukung tanahnya. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan, kepadatan tanah timbunan lebih rendah 13% - 39% dari kepadatan tanah ditempat, daya dukung tanah timbunan lebih rendah hingga 50% dari daya dukung tanah asli. Tetapi bila kepadatan tanah timbunan lebih tinggi (dengan persentase 13 % - 39%) dari tanah ditempat, nilai daya dukung tanah perubahan/peningkatannya sangat signifikan terhadap kondisi setempat yaitu 55% - 848%.

Abstract

Pengurangan resiko bencana alam merupakan salah satu program pemerintah dan pemerintah daerah yang sedang giatnya dilakukan. Hal ini juga menjadi kerja kalangan internasional karena beberapa kejadian bencana dengan skala massif telah menimbulkan begitu banyak korban harta benda dan jiwa. Wilayah Sulawesi Tengah merupakan salah daerah yang sangat rawan dilanda bencana alam, beberapa kejadian bencana alam yang terjadi dalam satu beberapa decade terakhir adalan banjir dan banjir bandang, tanah longsor, gempa bumi dan gunung meletus. Mempelajari fenomena bencana tersebut maka tidak ada pilihan lain yaitu segera bersiap siaga baik secara kelembagaan, masyarakat bahkan individual, karena bencana akan terjadi dan akan menimpa siapa saja yang berada di daerah yang rawan bencana. Identifikasi yang telah dilakukan menghasilkan beberapa kesimpulan sebagai berikut : daerah Sulawesi Tengah merupakan daerah yang sangat rawan bencana, bencana yang paling sering terjadi adalah banjir dan tanah longsor, gempa bumi dan tsunami. Upaya yang perlu dilakukan baik mitigasi pasif berupa pendidikan sadar bencana, penyuluhan tentang bencana alam serta karakteristiknya. Demikian juga diperlukan mitigasi aktif berupa membangun tanda peringatan bencana, membangun infrastruktur yang ramah dan tahan bencana serta memelihara, memperbaiki dan memperkuat infrastruktur yang berada di daerah yang rawan bencana

Abstract

Infiltrasi air hujan ke dalam lereng akan berpengaruh terhadap kondisi hidrologi lereng misalnya perubahan muka air tanah, tingkat kejenuhan, tekanan air pori. Perubahan dari aspek tersebut akan berpengaruh terhadap sifat  tanah penutup lereng, misalnya nilai  berat isi tanah, kohesi, sudut gesek dan kuat geser tanah. Perubahan muka air tanah akan meningkatkan tingkat kejenuhan tanah serta meningkatkan nilai tekanan air pori positif. Nilai tekanan air pori pada kondisi tanah dalam kondisi kering atau basah disebut dengan nilai tekanan air pori negatife  atau nilai  suction. Nilai suction ini akan cenderung menurun dan pada akhirnya menjadi sama dengan nol atau lebih besar dari 0 (tekanan air pori positif) apabila terjadi perubahan kadar air dalam tanah dari kondisi tidak jenuh menuju jenuh. Pada kondisi inilah yang akan berpengaruh terhadap tingkat kestabilan lereng tersebut karena nilai kohesi dan sudut gesek menurun yang berakibat penurunan kekuatan geser tanah. Perubahan hidrologi dan kestabilan lereng dipengaruhi oleh intesitas hujan, kuat geser tanah,  kondisi muka air tanah dan tingkat permeabilitas tanah penutup lereng

Abstract

Jalan Lingkar Donggala menggunakan dinding penahan yang berbentuk silinder atau biasa disebut sumuran. Proses pemasangan atau pelaksanaan pondasi sumuran umumnya dalam kondisi kering, namun lokasi jalan lingkar berada di daerah pantai. Kondisi ini akan menghambat proses pelaksanaan atau pemasangan pondasi sumuran, karena adanya pengaruh air laut dan proses pasang surut. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui desain turap yang akan digunakan meliputi dimensi turap, kedalamam pemancangan, dan jenis turap yang akan digunakan.Hasil perhitungan dari perencanaan konstruksi turap dengan dua kondisi permukaan air laut. Pada saat muka air normal didapatkan kedalaman pemancangan Daktual = 3,001 m dengan tipe turap PS-28. Kondisi pada saat air surut didapatkan kedalaman pemancangan Daktual = 3,393 m dengan tipe turap PS-28. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan kedalaman pemancangan dari kedua kondisi tersebut, maka yang sebaiknya dilaksanakan adalah kedalaman pemancangan pada kondisi air surut yaitu Daktual = 3,393 m dan tipe turap adalah PS-28

Abstract

Landslide is one of the most types of slope movements of soil ock often occur in Indonesia and resulting in damages such as in agriculture land, highways, structures and even casualties. From the researches landslides often take place on the rainy season,as well as when the rain is falling or after the rain stopped. This research will be done in two phases. First phase is a numerical modeling to simulate and predict slope hidrological behavior in respon to rainfall. The rainfalls applied for modeling are high and low intensity that are £ 70  mm/hour and 20 mm/day respectively some hours until days. The rainfall modeling results is used  as the data for next phase that is slope stability analysis. Slope stability will be analiyzed at the initial condition, when raining and after the rain stopped. This research results the decreased of slope stability caused by the rain depends on the intensity and duration of the rain. The research obtains that the rain  intensity of 70 mm/hour is the most potential cause to trigg the landslide than goes of 20 mm/day, 30 mm/hour and 50 mm/hour

Abstract

This analysis aim to obtain variation of bearing capacity of soil foundation for the same case based on methods is Terzaghi, Meyerhof, Vesic, Hansen and Ohsaki. And gets comparison of bearing capacity value from some the methods.Method Terzaghi and Ohsaki to have bearing capacity value of soil foundation which approximately equal. Method Hansen and Vesic also has value tending to same, only Meyerhof having different value xself. For incline load, method Hansen, Vesic is tnding to same and just Meyerhof tending to value differs in. But method Hansen and Vesic at various foundation breadth ( B) at foundation square and circular that is B > 0,5 m happened decrease of bearing capacity of soil foundation and at B ≥ 1,5 m increases returns to its the value.

Abstract

Infiltration of rainfall into slope will have an effect on to condition of slope hydrology and more specifically to characteristic of slope soils, for example pore water pressure value, level of saturation, weight contents of soil, shear strength of soil. Pore water pressure value at dry soil condition or wet condition called as with pore water pressure value negatife or value suction. This suction value will tend to declines and in the end becomes equal to zero or bigger than 0 ( positive pore water pressure) in the event of change of the water content from condition unsaturated to saturated condition. Speed of value change suction becomes positive pore water pressure most influenced by rain intensity. Value suction which is quickest fastest changed at slope at foot of slope

Abstract

This community activity of natural fermentation on processing origin coconut oil (VCO) was conducted at Pengembungan I, Bongkasa village,Abiansemal district, regency of Badung, Denpasar on September 28 and 29 th 2009 .The purpose of this activity was to improve the knowledge and society skill of natural fermentation on processing VCO. The methods of activity were by giving training and councelling to farmers who merged into group of Pengembungan I Bongkase about fungsional property of VCO and technology of natural fermentation processing VCO. It can be concluded that, the participants very much like colour, viscocity and be interested in VCO

Abstract

Background: Herbal Tonic Beverage Carriers are considered as high risk group of low backpain occurrence due to their activities such as bending position, lifting and carrying heavy loads. This study aims to analyze factors influencing low back pain occurrence among herbaltonic beverage carriers.Method: It was a cross sectional analytical study involved 30 herbal tonic beverage carriers in Geneng Village, Mijen Sub-district, District of Demak. Chi-square and logistic regression were employed as analysis tools.Result: This study found that age (p=0.355), working period (p=1.000), duration of lifting (p=0.433), weight of load (p=0.029) and lifting technique (p=0.628) have no correlation with low back pain occurrence. Multivariate analysis showed that sitting position was the only factor which predicts the occurrence of low back pain. Regarding this finding, it isrecommended for herbal tonic beverage carriers to have a better working position during their works in order to prevent their vertebrae from injury.Keyword : Low back pain, herbal tonic beverage carriers
