Abstract

This study aims at evaluating the response of rice (Oryza sativa L.) to the dosage and type of organic fertilizer plus and organic pesticides under the System of Rice Intensification (SRI) in tidal lowlands. This research was implemented at the rice field Desa Tanjung Sari, Kecamatan Tanjung Lago, Kota Terpadu Mandiri  (KTM) Telang, Kabupaten Banyuasin. The research was conducted from December 2010 until March 2011. It employedFactorial Group Randomized Design (RAK) to allow each factor were repeated 3 times for 5 plant samples. Variability analysis indicates that the provision of the dosage of organic fertilizer plus provided significant  effect on plant height, the number of seedlings, the number of productive seedlings, grain per panicle, production, and the percentage of infestation. However, it did not show significant  effect on the percentage of empty grains. The provision of organic pesticides provided significant effect on grain per panicle, production, the percentage of pests, but gave no effect on plant height, the number of seedlings, the number of productive seedlings, and the percentage of empty grains. The combination of powdered organic fertilizer plus of  750 kg / ha and  organic pesticides (animal and vegetable pesticides) gave  the highest production of 2.23 kg/plot or 5.57 ton/ha.

Abstract

The background research is phenomenon indicating implementation of headmaster hasnt applying force leadership good to a teacher at the school. Research is intended to gain information about teacher perception against the style of leadership headmaster district SMKN Kabupaten Sijunjung in improving the performance of duties teacher on the style of leadership that is task oriented on an errand and the styles of leadership that is releations oriented toward inferiors. The population was 144 teacher PNS of SMKN Kabupaten Sijunjung. Samples taken are 39% of the total population is 65 people.. Instrument used in this research was the questioners which has been tasted for its validity and reliability.. In general, the perception of teachers on the implementation leadership style functions headmaster of SMKN Kabupaten Sijunjung in the category of quite good length with an average score overall was 3.59 with the level of achievement 71.9 %. Abstract

The action research in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) classroomaims to enhance development of quality teaching and learning processcontributing not only to the quality of EFL teachers in handling the processof teaching learning but also to the quality of the students in learningEnglish. This study aims at analyzing the phenomenon of how pre serviceteachers carry out action research as their final Project. It is conducted inEnglish Education Department, one of universities in Indonesia. Three ofthe students’ papers were selected randomly to analyze. Review ofdocuments and questionnaires were employed as data collection in thisstudy. Having gathered the data, they were holistically analyzed as a casestudy occurring in English Education Department. The results indicatedthere were several cases happened. First, the pre service teachers did notcomprehend holistically the notion of action research. Second, backgroundof the study was not elaborated completely showing evidences of thestudy. Third, it is also unclear how all problem indicators were improvedrationally using particular techniques or method. Fourth, they did not alsocomprehensively collect and analyze the data. The last, reporting theresearch project focused only on the quantitative data rather thanqualitative one. Therefore, both researchers and supervisors are necessaryto possess the whole understanding toward the type of the researchchosen. Enriching literature reviews will enhance their literacy in order toachieve a better implementation in conducting action research.Keywords: action research, case study, pre-service teacher

Abstract

Exploration and selection of endophytic bacteria from healthy food crops grown in lowland ecosystem is important to be conducted in order to get growth-stimulating endophytic bacteria at soil with low fertility level so that capable to optimize initial growth of food crops and subsequently can increase productivity level of lowland soil.The research objective was to isolate and to test the IAA-producing endophytic bacteria isolate in stimulating the rice crop growth at lowland area. Endophytic bacteria are isolated from tissues of rice, corn and peanut crops which grown at shallow swamp land in Ogan Ilir and Ogan Komering Ilir Districts, South Sumatra, Indonesia. There was nine isolates of nitrogen-fixer endophytic bacteria that capable to contribute IAA phytohormone into their growth media. The P31 isolate from rice crop tisssue of 2 months old produce the best rice sprouts than other isolates. This isolate can contribute of about 10 mg kg-1 IAA to its growth medium  and increase the crowns dry weight and the roots dry weight respectively with magnitudes of 133% and 225% compared to control treatment. Concentration and absorbtion of N for rice crops innoculated with P31 isolates had increased by 169% and 400%, recpectively. The P31 isolates had been identified as Burkholderia pseudomallei (also known as Pseudomonas pseudomallei).

Abstract

Abstract: As the development of globalization era, teaching English for young learner regarded as a preparation for a future generation to face it. The children regarded as the future generation are already enrolled in an English class in their early ages. Within their unique characters, the way of teaching and learning process is different from what the adults got. Task-Based Instruction, as one of the new method of communicative approach, has been used as an effective way in teaching a foreign language, especially for adult learners. The issue comes by its implementation into young learners. It is said to be a doubtful thing to apply Task-Based Instruction into young learners in learning foreign language. The characteristics of Task-Based Instruction which includes three stages; (1) Pre-Task, (2) Task-Cycle, (3) Language focus is regarded to be too much for young learners. Bedsides, it is said that implementing Task-Based in English young learner classroom can be a burden for them. Beginning by this perception, this study investigates; (1) the implementation of Task-Based Instruction in English young learner classroom (2) some adaptation that can be done in using Task-Based Instruction for young learner (3) the strengths and weaknesses of Task-Based Instruction in English Young Learner Classroom.Keywords: Task-Based Instruction, pre-task, task-cycle, young Learners

Abstract

Pupuk kandang kotoran ayam diharapkan dapat memperbaiki sifat fisik, kimia dan biologi tanah, sehingga dapat menyuburkan tanah dan membantu dalam menyumbangkan unsur hara yang dapat digunakan dalam meningkatkan hasil kacang tanah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan takaran pupuk kandang kotoran ayam yang tepat dalam meningkatkan produksi tanaman kacang tanah. Penelitian ini telah dilaksanakan di kebun petani di Desa Payakabung Kecamatan Indralaya Utara Kabupaten Ogan Ilir dari bulan Januari sampai dengan April 2014. Rancangan yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan tiga perlakuan dan delapan kelompok, sehingga berjumlah 24 petak penelitian dan setiap petak diambil 10 tanaman sebagai sampel . Perlakuannya adalah takaran pupuk kandang kotoran ayam 5, 10 dan 15 ton ha-1. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa takaran pupuk kandang kotoran ayam sebanyak 10 ton ha-1 memberikan pertumbuhan dan produksi terbaik dengan ditunjukkan produksi per petak sebesar 2,73 kg petak-1.Poultry manure is expected to improve soil physical, chemical and biological properties. It can improve soil fertility and help in nutrients contribution that can be used to increase the yield of peanut. This study aimed to get the right dose of poultry manure fertilizer in increasing the production of ground peanut plants. This research was conducted in farmyard in the North Indralaya Payakabung District of Ogan Ilir from January to April 2014. The design used in this study was a randomized block design with three treatments and eight groups, thus consisting 24 research plots and each plot was taken as a sample of 10 plants. The treatments of poultry manure fertilizer rate 5, 10 and 15 ton ha-1. The results showed that poultry manure fertilizer rate as much as 10 tons ha-1 gave the best growth and production of 2.73 kg per plot.

Abstract

The effort to increase food production in tidal lowland areas was conducted by applying production technology through the use of superior varieties and organic fertilizer enriched with bacteria (bio organic fertilizer). This fertilizer was a formula that had been tested in swamp lowland area and proven capable to regain land fertility through action of beneficial microbia. Some microbia which used to produce bioorganic fertilizer are Azospirillium bacterium and phosphate solvent bacterium with carrier substance of chicken manure fertilizer. The reserach objective was to determine yield capacity of two rice varieties by using inorganic fertilizer and bioorganic fertilizer at tidal lowland area. This research was done at tidal lowland area of C-flooding type. The design used in this study was Factorial Randomized Block Design with 4 treatment combinations and 6 replications for each treatment. The first factor was varieties which consisted of Inpara 6 (V1) and Inpari I (V2), whereas the second factor was fertilizer types which consisted of inorganic fertilizer (P1) and bio-organic fertilizer (P2). The results showed that yield capacity of Inpari I rice variety treated with bio-organic fertilizer + 50% of recommended NPK fertilizer could increase the production of dry unhulled rice with magnitude of 165% (1.59 kg/plot or equal to 3.98 ton/ha) at tidal lowland of C flooding type. Through the provision of biofertilizers, chicken manure enriched with Azospirillum and bacteriophosphate biofertilizers contributes to sustainability agriculture, especially in tidal wetland

Abstract

Marlina et al, 2018. Utilization of Various Types of Biofertilizer on the Production of Shallots (Allium ascalonicum L.) in overflow type C Tidal Soils from Banyuurip. JLSO 7(1):74-79. Tidal land has considerable potential to be used as agricultural land, one of which is for shallot, but the obstacles faced in this tidal land are high soil acidity and low soil fertility. Therefore, to increase the production of onion plants can be given biological organic fertilizer. This study aimed to analyze the right type of biological organic fertilizer in increasing the production of shallots. This research was carried out at the Greenhouse in Palembang. The design used was Factorial Randomized Completely Block Design with consisted of 4 treatment factors with 6 replications for each treatment.  The first factor was control (O0), the second factor was biofertilizer enriched with Azospirillum (O1) bacteria, the third factor was biofertilizer enriched with phosphate solvent bacteria (BPF) (O2), and the fourth factor was biofertilizers enriched with Azospirillum and BPF bacteria. The results showed that the treatment of Azospirillum and BPF-enriched biofertilizers gave the best production per hill of onion by 85.33 g.

Syafrullahet al, 2018. Rehabilitation of Pit after Tin Mining by Floating Agricultural Technology at Red Curly Lettuce Cultivation in the Bangka Belitung Province. JLSO 7(1):88-96. Bangka Belitung Province is the largest tin producer in Indonesia. After tin mining was formed pit/under the surface of the earth . This pit potential was quite large, especially under the colonies near the settlement, in addition to fishery business could also be used with floating plant cultivation. The purpose of this research was to get location-specific cultivation technology of location specific plant at pit after tin mining which was floating plant cultivation technology and utilize the pit after  tin mining to be productive pit for cultivation of vegetable crops and preserve the environment by utilizing the pit, plastic waste and grass became useful in the cultivation of floating vegetable crops at the pit after tin mining. This research was conducted from January to May 2016 in Batu Belubang Village, Pangkalan Baru District, Central Bangka Regency of Bangka Belitung Province. The design used was Factor Randomized Random Design (RAK) with 9 treatment combinations repeated 3 times and 5 sample plants. As the indicator plant was  red curly lettuce. The treatments were 1) Type of raft  (R) with 3 levels,those are R1 = raft of plastic waste size of  250 ml, R2 = raft of plastic waste size of  600 ml, R3 =  raft of plastic waste size of  1500 ml and 2) compost type (X) with 3 levels ,namely K1= compost of purun  grass K2 = compost of bakung grass and K3 =  compost of gegas grass. From the results of the research showed that the type of  plastic waste raft size of 250 ml and type of bakung grass compost gave the better growth and production response for curly red lettuce and the application of technology cultivation of curly floating red lettuce plants at the pit after  tin mining lead to give the same results and tend to higher if compared with the system of cultivation coventionally on the dry land.

Abstract

Kendala budidaya di lahan kering adalah kesuburan tanah yang rendah.  Penggunaan pupuk anorganik/kimia secara intensif dapat menurunkan bahan organik tanah menjadi sangat rendah, selanjutnya menurunkan produksi.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan kombinasi pupuk anorganik + organik yang tepat serta varietas yang dapat beradaptasi dengan baik untuk meningkatkan produksi padi pada kering. Penelitian di lapangan disusun berdasarkan Rancangan Petak Terbagi (Split-plot design) dengan 12 kombinasi perlakuan dan diulang sebanyak 3 kali. Sebagai petak utama adalah  kombinasi pupuk (P) yaitu: P1 =100% pupuk anorganik (kontrol), P2= 75 % pupuk anorganik + 25% pupuk organik, P3 =  50% pupuk anorganik + 50% pupuk organik, P4= 25% pupuk anorganik + 75% pupuk organik. Sedangkan perlakuan untuk Anak Petak adalah: Varietas, yaitu : V1  = Inpago 11,  V2  = Limboto, dan V3  = JTLDR-G-416 ( Genotipe ).  Parameter yang diamati meliputi: tinggi tanaman (cm), jumlahanakan maksimum, jumlah anakan produktif, jumlah gabah per malai, persentase gabah hampa (%), berat 1000 butir (g), berat gabah per rumpun (g),  produksi gabah per petak  panen(kg).  Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1. Penggunaan pupuk organik dapat mengurangi pemakaian pupuk anorganik/kimia, pada kombinasi pupuk anorganik 50% + organik 50%, dapat meningkatkan hasil tanaman padi sebesar 23.8% dibandingkan tanpa menambahkan pupuk organik. 2. Varietas Inpago-11 menghasilkan produksi paling tinggi dibandingkan varietas Limboto dan genotipe baru JTLDR-G-416. 3. Varietas Inpago-11 yang diberi pupuk anorganik 50% + organik 50%, dapat menghasilkan gabah sebesar  ±6,0 ton/ha.
