Abstract

ABSTRACT – This  research  aims  to  determine the effect of  PBL  learning model  of problem-solving skills and cognitive learning outcomes biology class VII students of SMP Negeri  14  Surakarta. PBL  model  is a model  of learning  by  forcing students  to  practical  problems  or  as a  foothold  in  learning,  in other words, students learn  through  the problems. Given the  problems  the students  are challenged  to  find  / search for a solution of  real world problems can be resolved as a group  (in collaboration). The cooperation will enable students  in learning  to improve problem-solving skills and cognitive learning outcomes. This research is a  Quasi  Experimental  research  design  using a  pretest-postest Control Group. Population is all students in grade VII Junior High School 14 Surakarta with cluster random sampling technique using sampling. Aspects of data collection techniques and problem-solving skills using the cognitive learning outcomes tests are analyzed using statistical tests anacova. Abstract

ABSTRACT – The aim of the research was to know the influence of Group Investigation type (GI) of cooperative learning model toward science process skill and biology learning achievement of X degree students at SMA Negeri 4 Surakarta in the academic year of 2011/2012. The methodology of the research was quasi-experimental with quantitative approach. The research designs were post-test only control group by using experimental class (the implementation of Group Investigation (GI) of cooperative learning model) and control class (conventional learning). The population of this research is all of X degree students at SMA Negeri 4 Surakarta in 2011/2012 academic year. The  sample was taken by using cluster random sampling technique, with the result that XB  class as experimental group and XA class as control group. The technique of collecting data used test, observation paper and the school document. The data was analyzed by using t-test. This research concluded that Group Investigation type (GI) of cooperative learning model was significantly effective toward science process skill and biology learning achievement of X degree students at SMA Negeri 4 Surakarta in the academic year of 2011/2012. Abstract

ABSTRACT – The purpose of this research are: 1) to ascertain the influence of guided inquiry models with diagram V (Vee) on biology learning toward critical thinking skills of 10thgrade students at SMA Negeri Gondangrejo in academic year 2011/2012, 2) to ascertain the influence of guided inquiry models with diagram V (Vee) on biology learning toward learning achievement of 10thgrade students at SMA Negeri Gondangrejo in academic year 2011/2012. The research was quasi experiment research using quantitative approach. The research was designed using posttest only control design. The populations of this research were all of 10thdegree students at SMA Negeri Gondangrejo Karanganyar in academic year 2011/2012. The sample of this research was established by cluster random sampling. The samples of this research were the students of 10th-1 as experiment group and 10th-2 as control group. Experimental group applied guided inquiry models with diagram V (Vee). Control group applied conventional learning models specifically speech varies with experiment accompanied a simple summary. The data was collected by document, test, observation form, and questionnaire. The hypothesis analyzed by t-test with help of SPSS 16. The research concluded that the influence of guided inquiry models with  diagram V (Vee) on biology learning had significant effect toward critical thinking skills of 10thgrade students at SMA Negeri Gondangrejo in academic year 2011/2012 with significant value is 0,041. The influence of guided inquiry models with diagram V (Vee) on biology learning had significant effect toward learning achievement of 10thgrade students at SMA Negeri Gondangrejo in academic year 2011/2012 with significant value cognitive domain is 0,013; psychomotor domain is 0,000 by observation form and 0,001 by questionnaire; affective domain is 0,000 by observation form and 0,005 by questionnaire. Abstract

ABSTRACT – This  research aims to find out the influence of SAVI approach using STAD type of cooperative learning model on learning achievement in the VII graders  Junior High School of 14 Surakarta. This research belonged to a quasi-experiment with quantitative approach. The research was designed using posttest only non-equivalent control group design by applying SAVI approach with STAD type of cooperative learning for experiment class and using conventional learning approach with lecture and demonstration methods for control class. The population of research was all 7th graders Junior High School of 14 Surakarta in the school year of 2011/2012. The sample of research was the VII C graders as experiment group and VII B graders as control group. The sampling technique used was cluster random sampling. Technique of collecting data used was objective test, observation test, and school document. The hypothesis testing was conducted using t-test. The data analyzed by Minitab version 16 program help at 5% significance. The hypothesis result of the influence of SAVI approach with STAD type of cooperative learning results p-value < 0,05, so there is affects SAVI approach with STAD type of cooperative learning on the learning achievement in the VII graders Junior High School of 14 Surakarta. Abstract

The aims of this research were to know the relationship among biological learning difficulties with affective competence and cognitive competence and each contribution to that difficulties toward student of SMUN 8 Surakarta. This research was carried out during academic year of 2004/2005. This was the descriptive quantitative research with ex post facto. The threated student was sampled in amount of 40 students by simple random sampling.  The data obtained was then analized by multivariate-linear regression analysis. The result showed that there was significant difference between biological learning difficulties with affective competence and cognitive competence. The dominant contributor to the difficulties was the affective competence (82,29%). This research also found that there was correlation between those two competences. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan  untuk mengetahui adanya  perbedaan kemampuan  berpikir kritis  antara model pembelajaran INSTAD dipadu concept map dengan pembelajaran konvensional pada mata pelajaran biologi  siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 4 Surakarta tahun pelajaran 2012/2013. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam eksperimen semu (Quasy experiment). Desain penelitian adalah  Post-Test Only with Nonequivalent Group dengan menggunakan kelas eksperimen (penerapan model pembelajaran INSTAD dipadu concept map) dan kelas perbandingan (penerapan pembelajaran konvensional).   Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 4 Surakarta tahun pelajaran 2012/2013 sejumlah 188. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan cluster sampling  dan diambil 2 kelas sebagai kelas eksperimen dan perbandingan. Kelas yang digunakan sebagai kelas eksperimen adalah kelas XI IPA 6 dan  kelas perbandingan adalah kelas XI IPA 5. Sampel berjumlah 62 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes uraian, lembar observasi, angket, dan dokumentasi sekolah. Uji hipotesis menggunakan uji-t.  Nilai uji t didapatkan sebesar  -4,926 serta signifikansi 0,000 (signifikansi<0,05). Sintaks model pembelajaran INSTAD dipadu concept map terlaksana dengan baik. Siswa memberikan respon positif terhadap model pembelajaran INSTAD dipadu concept map yang dapat melatih kemampuan berpikir kritis. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah ada perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kritis antara model pembelajaran INSTAD dipadu concept map dengan pembelajaran konvensional pada mata pelajaran biologi siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 4 Surakarta tahun pelajaran 2012/2013.  Kata kunci: berpikir kritis, model pembelajaran INSTAD, concept map, pembelajaran konvensional

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan mendiskripsikan keanekaragaman tanaman  di sepanjang tebing sungai Dengkeng yang berhulu sungai di gunung Merapi serta pengaruhnya terhadap kualitas tebing sungai. Asumsi dasar dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa semakin baik dan stabil kondisi tebing sungai, maka semakin baik kualitas air sungai tersebut. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan melakukan survey dan pendataan jenis dan jumlah species tanaman yang tumbuh secara alami maupun yang dibudidaya oleh masyarakat di sepanjang daerah aliran sungai dengkeng. Dari hasil penelitian dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa kondisi tebing sungai Dengkeng perlu mendapatkan perlakuan khusus dengan menambah jenis maupun jumlah tanaman yang sesuai untuk konservasi daerah aliran sungai.  Kata kunci  :    Keanekaragaman Vegetasi, Kualitas Tebing Sungai, Kualitas Air Sungai,  Koinservasi Daerah Aliran Sungai

Abstract

Fertilizer of NPK or manure no velvet bean yield increase. On leguminosae, nitrogen fertilizer utilization can decreased rhizobium activity on nodule change N2 to ability nitrogen for plant. For this reason, experiment limiting factor for velvet bean yield important to due. This research was conduct on Litosol soil in Tancep, Ngawen, Gunungkidul regency and on latosol soil in UNS experimental Land, Jumantono, Karanganyar regency. The experimental design was Randomized complete block design and factorial with 2 factors. The treatment was: 1) soil kind, 2 level litosol soil in Ngawen and latosol soil in Jumantono, and 2) fertilizer on 7 level, a) control without fertilizer, b) P 200 kg/ha, c) P 100 kg/ha and K 100 kg/ha, d) P 200 kg/ha and foliage fertilizer D, e) P 200 kg/ha and foliage fertilizer B, f) P 100 kg/ha, K 100 kg/ha and foliage fertilizer D and g) P 100 kg/ha, K 100 kg/ha and foliage fertilizer D and B. All experiment due with 3 replications. Result of this research shows: 1) P, K and micro nutrition due to limiting growth and yield of velvet bean, 2) latosol soil take the higher growth and yield than litosol soil, 3) plant growth and yield on latosol soil was very responsive than litosol soil.
