Abstract

This quasi experimental research aims to know the effectiveness cooperative learning type two stay two stray considered by students mathematical conceptual understanding. The research design uses posttest only control group design. The population of this research is seventh grade students of junior high school state 26 Bandar Lampung in academic years 2012/2013 and the samples of reseach are VII A and VII D that is choosen from six classes by using purposive sampling technique. Based on data analysis, it is gotten the average of congnitive value of student’s mathematical conceptual understanding in class with cooperative learning type TSTS is higher than in class with conventional learning and also 70% or more students in class using cooperative learning type TSTS have completed in learning mathematics. The conclusion of this research is cooperative learning type TSTS effective considered by students mathematical conceptual understanding.  Keywords: Effectiveness, TSTS, Understanding of Mathematical Conceptual

Abstract

Background: Preterm labor is still become a serious health problem in Obstetric and Perinatology with no sensitive biomarker currently approved. Several studies show that decrease antioxidant activity may play significant role in preterm labor. However, only few studies had been conducted to evaluate blood catalase level in preterm labor and assess its role in preterm labor. Objective: The aim this study was to identify the differences of maternal serum catalase level in preterm labor compared with preterm pregnancy. Methods: An observational analytic cross sectional study was conducted from February to December 2014 using pregnant women with 28-36 weeks’ gestational age. Blood catalase level was evaluated by colorimetric method and the data was analyzed by SPPS for Windows 17.0 program. Results: 12 subjects were enrolled and divided into preterm and control group. No significant differences between mean age, gestational age, and parity between preterm and control group. However, blood catalase level was significantly lower in preterm group compared with control group (81.82 ± 20.38 vs 159.38 ± 35.79; p=0.001). Conclusion: Serum maternal catalase level were significantly lower in preterm labor compared with preterm normal pregnancy.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The process of recording the diagnosis of viral infection in children in the polyclinic of Wangaya Hospital is still using manual method. The development of information technologyincreasingly advanced to the health world. With the application of technology in the world ofhealth will be able to facilitate in performing services to patients. However, with the developmentof technology, a system is needed to facilitate medical staff to provide medical services to patients.To answer those needs, an interactive system was built to help record the diagnosis of viraldisease in children. This interactive system is designed based on Android using the programminglanguage PHP and uses a database of MYSQL. The workings of this interactive system is byasking questions such as symptoms or complaints experienced by the patient, then this system willmake the process of analysis based on the percentage likelihood of a diagnosis of the patientsillness. This interactive system can help record the diagnosis of viral infection. In addition toshowing the results of diagnosis, the system can also display the definition of each viral infectiousdisease in children, which has been inputted into the database application.Keywords: Interactive System, Android, Diagnosis of Virus Infections on Children ABSTRAK Dalam melakukan pencatatan diagnosis infeksis virus pada anak di poliklinik anak di RSUDWangaya masih menggunakan cara manual. Perkembangan teknologi informasi semakinberkembang hingga ke dunia kesehatan. Dengan adanya teknologi dalam dunia kesehatan akanmempermudah dalam melakukan pelayanan kepada pasien. Dengan perkembangan teknologi maka sangat di perlukan suatu sistem yang akan mempermudah petugas medis dalam memberikanpelayanan medis kepada pasien.Sistem interaktif dibangun bertujuan untuk membantu pencatatandiagnosis penyakit virus pada anak. Sistem interaktif ini di rancang berbasis Android denganmenggunakan bahasa pemrograman PHP dan menggunakan database dari MYSQL. Cara kerjasistem interaktif ini adalah dengan memberikan pertanyaan berupa gejala-gejala atau keluhan yangdi alami oleh pasien, lalu sistem ini akan melakukan proses analisis berdasarkan presentasekemungkinan diagnosis dari penyakit pasien tersebut. Sistem interaktif ini akan dapat membantupencatatan hasil diagnosis penyakit infeksi virus. Selain menampilkan hasil diagnosis sistem inijuga dapat menampilkan definisi dari setiap penyakit infeksi virus pada anak yang telah diinputkedalam database aplikasi.  Kata Kunci : Sistem Interaktif, Android, Diagnosis Penyakit Infeksi Virus pada Anak
