Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat perbedaan komitmen organisasi ditinjau dari gender pada karyawan PT.Indomarco Prismatama Medan. Kami mengajukan hipotesis bahwa komitmen organisasi perempuan akan cenderung lebih tinggi daripada laki-laki. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 40 orang karyawan (20 laki-laki, 20 perempuan) yang bekerja di PT.Indomarco Prismatama Medan. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa komitmen organisasi para karyawan secara umum adalah tinggi. Namun, sesuai dengan hipotesis yang kami ajukan, komitmen organisasi perempuan lebih tinggi daripada laki-laki.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan antara komunikasi interpersonal dengan produktivitas kerja, di mana yang menjadi subjek penelitian ini adalah para customer service di Bank Tabungan Negara Medan yang berjumlah 46 orang. Komunikasi interpersonal diukur menggunakan Skala Komunikasi Interpersonal yang disusun oleh peneliti dan produktivitas kerja diukur menggunakan lembar Produktivitas karyawan yang dilakukan oleh perusahaan. Berdasarkan analisis data dengan teknik korelasi product moment, terdapat hubungan positif yang sangat signifikan antara komunikasi interpersonal dengan produktivitas kerja (r = 0,47; p = 0,001). Secara umum, kontribusi komunikasi interpersonal terhadap produktivitas kerja adalah sebesar 22%.

Abstract

Di dalam penelitian ini, kami menelaah sejauh apa peran stres kerja dalam menentukan kinerja dosen dilingkungan “Universitas X”. Dalam menjalankan tugasnya sebagai dosen, terdapat banyak permasalahanyang dapat menimbulkan tekanan, yang mengakibatkan gangguan fisik dan psikologis. Tekanan yangdirasakan oleh dosen dapat dilihat melalui interaksinya dengan lingkungan. Hasil dari stres dapatberdampak pada kinerja individual dosen. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Kamimengukur stres kerja dengan menggunakan skala stres kerja yang valid dan reliabel (α = .88, correcteditem-total correlation > .30). Sedangkan kinerja kami ukur melalui Port Folio dosen di Universitas danLembar Evaluasi Mahasiswa terhadap Dosen. Jumlah sampel adalah 72 orang dosen, yang terpilih melaluimekanisme stratified random sampling. Analisis dilakukan menggunakan teknik chi-square, denganbantuan software SPSS> Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tidak ada korelasi antara tingkat stres kerja dosendengan portfolio, maupun hasil evaluasi mahasiswa terhadap dosen. Hasil mengindikasikan bahwa adafaktor-faktor lain yang lebih berdampak terhadap kinerja dosen di lingkup “Universitas X”. Hasil jugamenimbulkan pertanyaan terhadap validitas dan reliabilitas pengukuran kinerja dosen yang digunakan di“Universitas X”.The present research is aimed to explore the relationship of job stress and lecturer’s work performance in“University X”. In carrying out their job as lecturer, there are problems that would elicit pressure, resultingin physical and psychological disturbance. The pressure experienced by individual can be observeredthrough the individual’s interaction with his/her environment. The resulting stress would impact theindividual’s work performance. The current study uses a quantitative approach. We measured job stressusing a valid and reliable job stress scale (α = .88, corrected item-total correlation > .30), while workperformance was measured using the University’s Port Folio and Students Evaluation Form. The totalsample of the study were 72, selected through a stratified random sampling. The analysis was carried outusing the chi-square technique, with the help of SPSS program. The results of the study showed nocorrelation between job stress and the results of the evaluation of lecturers’ portfolio or with the studentsevaluation toward lecturers. The results indicated that other factors than job stress might play moreimportant role in determining the lecturers’ job performance. The results also rouse the question about thevalidity and reliability of the work performance assessment used in “University X”.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan antara kualitas kehidupan kerja dengan burnout syndrome pada karyawan PT. Surya Alam Permai, Palembang. Hipotesis yang diajukan, ada hubungan antara kualitas kehidupan kerja dengan burnout, dengan asumsi bahwa semakin tinggi kualitas kehidupan kerja maka semakin rendah burnout syndrome pada karyawan dan sebaliknya semakin rendah kualitas kehidupan kerja maka semakin tinggi burnout syndrome pada karyawan. Untuk membuktikan hipotesis, digunakan metode analisis Product Moment, terdapat hubungan negatif yang signifikan antara kualitas kehidupan kerja dengan burnout syndrome pada karyawan di PT. Surya Alam Permai, Palembang. Dari hasil analisis data diperoleh koefisien korelasinya rxy = -0,538 ; p = 0,000, p < 0,050. Hal ini diartikan bahwa kualitas kehidupan kerja memiliki hubungan yang signifikan terhadap burnout pada karyawan. Dengan demikian, hipotesis yang diajukan dalam penelitian dinyatakan diterima. This study aims to look at the relationship between quality of work life with burnout syndrome in employees, which are the subject of this study were employees of PT Surya Alam Permai, Palembang. The sampling technique in this study using total sampling technique. The hypothesis of this study is there is relationship between the quality of working life with burnout, with the assumption that the higher the quality of working life, the lower burnout syndrome in employees and conversely the lower the quality of working life, the higher the employee burnout syndrome. To prove the above hypothesis, we used the method of analysis Product Moment. The results indicate that there is a significant negative correlation between the quality of working life with burnout syndrome in employees at PT Surya Alam Permai, Palembang. From the analysis of the data obtained by the correlation coefficient r xy = -0.538; p = 0.000, p <0.050. It is understood that the quality of working life has a significant relationship to burnout on employees. Thus, the hypothesis proposed in the study are accepted. The comparation between hypothetical mean and mean empirical work shows that the quality of life is high, because the average value of empirical (95.41) is greater than the average value of hypothetic (75.00). Meanwhile burnout is very low level where the average value of empirical (52.42) is smaller than the average value of hypothetic (87.00).

PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT TRAINING FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS EXPERIENCING THE GANG MOTOR PROBLEMS IN MEDAN

Abstract

The rise of motorcycle gang action has caused casualties and material losses. The government has tried to redress through the legal process and prevention through extension activities. Faculty of Psychology, University of Medan Area as an institution of higher education felt called to assist the government in handling this issue, through a program of community service personality development training for high school students who allegedly have links with the action alley bike in the city of Medan. This event was organized by the coaches who have experience in the field of the high school students, vocational NP, and BS Field High School. Training was given for 3 days for each school includes self knowledge, safe driving and entrepreneurship. With a total of 77 participants obtained results that safety riding training modules provide a significant effect on the change in students attitudes toward safe driving at high school students (t = 7.694, p <0.05). For SMA Nusa Penida obtained a significant increase in knowledge of safe driving (t = 2.059, p <0.05) and highly significant on entrepreneurial knowledge (t = 0.797 p <0.01), but the student has not shown any significant change in attitude related these aspects. While the high school students of BS just show increased knowledge of self knowledge training material (t = 1.134 p <0.05) but self knowledge of the participants themselves have not shown marked improvement.

Abstract

This study aims to meliha Relationship Between Corporate Culture and Organizational Commitment With Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) in North Sumatra TVRI LPP. In line with the theoretical basis of existing, proposed hypotheses: 1. There was a significant positive relationship between Corporate Culture and Organizational Commitment to Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCBIn proving the above hypothesis, we used regression analysis method of data analysis two predictors. Based on data analysis of the results obtained: 1. There is a significant relationship between corporate culture and organizational commitment on organizational citizenship behavior (OCB). This is evidenced by the coefficient Freg = 1.952 where p <0.050. This indicates that the better the higher the corporate culture and organizational commitment, organizational citizenship behavior then (OCB) will be higher. Instead the worse the lower the corporate culture and organizational commitment, organizational citizenship behavior then (OCB) will be lower as well. Based on these results, the hypothesis proposed been accepted.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan antara komitmen organisasi, moril kerja dan motivasi kerja terhadao kinerja karyawan. Subyek penelitian adalah karyawan PT. Bnak Sumut Cabang Utama Medan. Metode Analisis Tiga Prediktor menujukkna hasil bahwa terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara komitmen organisasi, moril kerja dan motivasi kerja terhadap kinerja (Freg = 2,095 dimana p ˂ 0,050. Adapun sumbangan dari variabel komitmen organisasi memberikan kontribusi 27 % terhadap kinerja kerja. Sementara itu variabel moril kerja berpengaruh atau memiliki peran terhadap kinerja sebesar 24,5 %. Dan motivasi kerja memberikan kontribusi terhadao kinerja kerja sebesar 32,2 %. Total sumbangan efektif dari ketiga variabel bebas (komitmen organisasi, moril kerja dan motivasi kerja) terhadap kinerja kerja adalah sebesar 83,7 %.

Abstract

The research is titled "The Role of Public Relations as a Management Support Hospital General Dr. Pirngadi Medan City "and discusses the role of public relations in order to improve the image of the hospital which describes the public relations image of the hospital to maintain (maintenance of image) and restore the image of the hospital (recovery of image) when carrying out its role as a supporter of management. This study aims to answer the problems that have been formulated. The detailed objectives of this study was to determine achievable extent of successful public relations duties to support the management to minimize patient complaints about inpatient services Jamkesmas participants in improving the image of the hospital in General Hospital Dr. Pirngadi Medan. The study population was inpatients General Hospital Dr. Pirngadi Jamkesmas Medan which is a participant during the month of January 2009 and aged 17 to 50 years. While the number of samples used to determine the Taro Yamane and using proportional random sampling technique. To answer the problems that have been formulated, used descriptive method with quantitative approach. From the analysis found the success rate of maintaining public relations image of the hospital by providing the best services at 65.12%, and restore the image of the hospital by providing the right solution for 62.79% proving that the role of public relations as a management support works.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and prove the relationship between self-esteem and level of education with an attitude of acceptance of mothers of children with autism. The hypothesis advanced is that there is a positive relationship between self-esteem with an attitude of acceptance of mothers of children with autism, there is a positive relationship between level of education with an attitude of acceptance of mothers of children with autism and there is a positive relationship between self-esteem and level of maternal education with an attitude of acceptance toward the child with autism.            The results showed that there was a significant relationship between self-esteem with an attitude of acceptance of mothers of children with autism by 0039 a significant level <0.05 (5%) with a variable contribution of R ² = 14:28% against acceptance; There is a very significant positive relationship between acceptance level of education with mothers of children with autism by 0000 a significant level <0.01 (1%) with a variable contribution of R ² = 40.19% against acceptance; there is a significant relationship between self-esteem and level of education with an attitude of acceptance mothers   toward children with autism with the acquisition of R ² = 0.474, which means self-esteem and levels of education together can explain the variability of 47.4% and 52.6% influenced by other factors that are not the focus in this study.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara gaya kepemimpinan spiritual dan budaya organisasi dengan iklim organisasi. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh karyawan Bank Mandiri Syariah Kabanjahe yang berjumlah 42orang. Mengingat keterbatasan jumlah anggota populasi, maka seluruhnya dijadikan sampel penelitian (teknik total sampling). Penelitian ini menggunakan tiga macam skala sebagai alat pengumpulan data yang disusun berdasarkan metode penskalaan Likert. Ketiga skala tersebut adalah skala gaya kepemimpinan spiritual, skala budaya organisasi, dan skala iklim organisasi. Data penelitian yang terkumpul kemudian dianalisa dengan menggunakan uji statistik regresi linier dan regresi ganda.Berdasarkan hasil analisa data, diketahui bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara gaya kepemimpinan spiritual dengan iklim organisasi, demikian pula antara budaya organisasi dengan iklim organisasi. Selain itu, diketahui pula bahwa secara bersama-sama, variabel gaya kepemimpinan spiritual dan budaya organisasi memiliki hubungan yang signifikan dengan iklim organisasi.
