Abstract

Abstract : Quality Evaluation, Ointments, Kaemferia Galanga, Curcuma Domestica, Curcuma Heynena. Indonesia is a country with very high biodiversity. In the high diversity of the stored potential nutritious plants that can be explored and exploited further. Community began to realize the use of chemicals to cope with life problems, especially health problems, in addition to expensive, can also result in less side effects both for humans. This study used a extract Curcuma domestica, Kaemferia galanga, and Curcuma heynena as active ingredients skin ointments. This study intends to determine the third quality evaluation ointment. This type of research was descriptive. Quality evaluation results showed nearly the same physical properties, except for the parameters of the spread, and viscosity. Abstract

Absctract: Citrus hystrix, Biolarvicides. Insectisides and pestisides were used as larvicides to control mosquito vector Aedes aegypti particularly. Some research suggested there had been a larvae resistance to pesticides. Biolarvicides with basic ingredients plant was another alternative that can be used. Lime (Citrus hystrix) was one of plants that often used as biolarvicides, both lits fruit and leaves. This paper aimed to know about chemical compound in lime and its potential as biolarvicidal. Research methods was literature review from several research journals. The results showed that the presence of coumpounds were essential oil, flavonoids, saponins, terpeesn, limonoids, citronellal, linalool, citronellol, acetate citronelil, kariofilin and geraniol. LC50 of lime leaves as biolarvicides againts the third instar larvae of Aedes aegypti was 279.882 ppm, biolarvicides oxicity values (LC90) was 4000 ppm with the lethal time (LT90) was 12.67 hours. Based on results of this study concluded that the presence of the chemical content of Citrus hystrix plant potential as biolarvicides.Keyword : Citrus Hystrix, Biolarvicides

Abstract

Abstrack : Physical Characteristic, Qualitative Terpenoid Experiment, Lotion, Lime Leaves. Lime leaves (Citrus hystrix DC.) contain active tannin compounds, steroid, terpenoid, and volatile oil which be formulated into repellent lotion. The aim of this research was to find out the physical testdosage form extract lotion of lime leaves covering organoleptic, homogeneity, pH, viscosity, dispersive power and adhesion, and also qualitative testing to find out the compounds content of terpenoid dosage form extract lotion of lime leaves. Methodology of this research used descriptive observational study by observes then describe about physical characteristic. The result of qualitative test terpenoid compound form extract lotion of lime leaves presented in narration and table. The result of this research was organoleptic experiment that showed if dosage form extract lotion of lime leaves have viscous and semi-solid, green color, fragrant smell typical of lime leaves. Homogeneity form was less homogeneous because there is still a little green particle. pHdosage form got the result for 6,27. Viscosity dosage form got the result for 4500 cp (centipoise). Dispersive power dosage form got the result for 6,6 cm. Adhesion got the result for 1,28 second and the result of qualitative experiment showed positive result and contains terpenoid with sorrel color. The conclusion from this research was the result from physical experiment dosageform extract lotion of lime leaves got appropriate with standard except homogeneity experiment and qualitative experiment of terpenoid compounds got the positive result contains terpenoid. Keywords: Physical Characteristic, Qualitative Terpenoid Experiment, Lotion, Lime Leaves.

Abstract

Abstract: Antibacterial Activity, Skin ointment, Turmeric, Kaemferia galanga L, Curcuma heyneana. Indonesia is a country with a very high biodiversity. In the high diversity are stored potent plant potentials that can be extracted and utilized further. People are starting to realize the use of chemicals to solve life problems, especially health problems, in addition to expensive, can also cause adverse side effects for humans. Human life is always surrounded by microbes, either pathogenic or non-pathogenic. Many plants that have properties as antibacterial, such as turmeric, Kaemferia galanga L. and Curcuma heyneana. This research use turmeric, Kaemferia galanga L. And Curcuma heyneana extract, as active ingredient of skin ointment. This study aimed to know the extent to which the antibacterial activity of these three ointments against Staphylococcus aureus bacteria. This type of research was quasi experimental, with the design of Static Group Comparasion. Activity test with wells method with diameter 6,5 mm showed that the mean of clear zone were Kaemferia galanga L.  (14,52 mm), turmeric (13,26 mm), Curcuma heyneana (7,89 mm), and control (6.49 mm) Keywords : Antibacterial Activity, Skin ointment, Turmeric, Kaemferia galanga L,                Curcuma heyneana
