Abstract

One of the food as an option in the menu diet is soy-based food. Study at diabetic mice treated with bran oil diet improved insulin sensitivity. Whether the effect of bran, tempeh flour, rice bran and tempeh mixture of blood sugar profiles in Wistar rats fed alloxan. Top of FormThis study aims to determine the effect of blood glucose profile after administration of bran, tempeh flour, rice  bran and tempeh mixture in mice that had been given alloxan. The study was a randomized experimental laboratory using pre post test design with control group. Number of rats 6 tails for each group (3 groups of treatment and 1 control group) so that the overall sample sum was 24 rats. Results of study the Through of post hoc test showed that differences in blood sugar levels every week in all three treatment groups when compared with the control group was statistically significant (p = 0.000, p = 0.000, p = 0.000). Tempeh group as compared with mixed groups differences in blood sugar levels in 3 weeks was not significant (p = 0.491, p = 0.764, p = 0.319). Rice bran group than the group differences in levels of sugar mixture in 3 weeks was not significant (p = 0.374, p = 0.297, p = 0.093). Tempe rice  bran group than the group differences in blood sugar levels at 3 weeks was not significant (p = 1.000, p = 0.993, p = 0.954). Abstract

Blood pressure is the pressure generated in the artery wall. Peak pressure occurs when the left ventricle contracts and is called the systolic pressure. Diastolic pressure is the lowest pressure that occurs when the heart is resting. Blood pressure is usually described as the ratio of systolic to diastolic pressure, with normal adult values ​​ranged from 100/60 to 140/90. The average normal blood pressure is usually 120/80. This type of research is descriptive analytic clinical nutrition field. The method is survey with a cross-sectional approach. The Number of samples are 30 people consisting of hospital inpatients Tugurejo Semarang. The Research was done at January to July 2013.. We used interview with aids food recall for collecting data. The rank-Spearman test was done to test the  correlation between calcium and sodium intake with sistolik blood pressure. To test the normality of data, especially the data of calcium sodium intake and blood pressure, we used Kolmogorov- Smirnov test. The results showed that the majority of hypertensive patients  were female (17 persons or 56.7%). 12 patients (40,0 %) were 51-60 years old and the largest of sample (13 person or 43.3 %) work as the housewives.  The majority of patient’s education is primary school (16 people or 53.3%). 13 patients (46,7%) were mild systolic hypertension or lights hypertension and only 2 patients (6,7%) were severe hypertension.  There are 3 patient (10,0%) that they have the calcium intake is more than the normal. There are  5 patients (16,7%) that they have the sodium intake is more than the normal. Statistical test results showed there is no correlation between calcium intake and blood pressure (p value 0.046 <0.05). There is a correlation between sodium intake and blood pressure (p value 0.000 <0.05).

Abstract

Sports today have been decided by the United Nations as an instrument to improve the quality of education and health , development and peace in the world. Football is the most popular sport among the people of Indonesia. In the broken system of PSSI (Persatuan Sepakbolla Seluruh Indonesia) as the supreme body of football in Indonesia , we are trying to fix , but in  very small coverage especially in food intake . This is a descriptive analytic study in the field of public nutrtition. The purpose of this study is knowing the level of energy and protein intake that is associated with athlete’s endurance in Pusat Pendidikan Latihan Pelajar (PPLP)  Sepak Bola Salatiga. Endurance is the general bodys ability to perform continuous activity ( more than 10 minutes ) . In terms of muscular endurance is the ability of working muscle or group of muscles in a certain period of time.  Being understanding of energy systems, endurance is the capability of the organs within a certain period. The data of this study have been collected by questionnaire. Measuring the endurance of athelet was done by Havard Step Test. The number of samples were  22 members of the football PPLP Salatiga, that’s taken within the perode from June 13 through Jully 20, 2013. The result of Kolmogorov Smirnov test, showed the data of energy intake, protein intake and endurance are not normally distribution. So we used the Spearman Rank Test to test the relationship between energy intake and the athelet’s endurance. With the same method we tets the relationship between protein intake and the e athelet’s endurance. The  results Rank Spearman Test  showed there is a relationship between energy intake and the athelet’s endurance.(r = 0,430 and p value = 0,046) and  there is no relationship between protein intake and athelete’s endurance (r = 0.299 and p value = 0.277).

Abstract

Cancer is a disease caused by the growth of body tissue cells are abnormal and out of control and can disrupt and damage the cells of other tissues. Malnutrition is a condition that often occurs in patients with cancer. We investigated the associations of protein intake with albumin levels in cancer patienst at Roemani Muhammadiyah Hospital Semarang. This research was explanatory research, to determined the association between the variables in the study. There were 14 samples, were taken using purposive sampling method. Univariate analysis was used to present frequency, tendency and standard deviation. Bivariate analysis using Pearson correlation. Protein intake was associated with albumin levels positively (p=0,030,r=0,513). There was a association of protein intake with albumin levels in cancer patients at Roemani Muhammadiyah Hospital Semarang.

Abstract

High blood pressure disease shows enhanced from to year. High blood pressure at influence by behaviour factor that is food pattern unfavourable likes to consumption over source sodium, less to consumpt fibrous food likes fruit and vegetable, risk factor of the increasing of blood pressure besides fat factor and Body Mass Index (BMI). The increasing of blood pressure also influenced by genetic factor.fat consumtion and obesitas. The purpose of the research is to detect the correlation of fiber consumption, sodium intake, fat and BMI with blood pressure in hypertension patient in care at Hospital Tugurejo SemarangResearch kind uses method explanatory research at clinic nutrient area with a cross sectional approached. The size of population as much as 63 person and sample 55 person, was taken by purposive sampling. Data becollected by using direct interview methode in sufferer. Primary data that is gatherred to cover: food-stuff consumption that contain fiber by recall use food frequency and questionnaire. The normality of the data was tested by kolmogorov smirnov test. The correlation of variables, were analysed by correlation pearson product moment test if the distribution of data is normal and use spearman rank test if the data not normally distribution.There are no correlation between fiber, fat, sodium and BMI with blood pressure. Necessary done continuation research to detect factors that causes hypertension besides sodium intake, fat, fiber and BMI by using different technique and method and with mare many of sample

Abstract

Introduction: Picky eater is the eating disorder which is characterized with several symptoms, there are; trouble eating, refusing to feed, and spewing the food. Picky eater which is continuously occurred on children effects on children nutritional status being a under nutritional. In work area of Kedungmundu Health Care Semarang, it is found under nutritional status on children for 1, 2% in 2007 year. The aim of this research is to identify the relation between picky eater and nutritional status on children in work area of Kedungmundu Health Care Semarang. Research Method: The design of this research is cross sectional with analytic research. The sampling are 68 childrens which systematic random sampling. It is found 41 childrens who are picky eater and 27 childrens who are non picky eater. Moreover, interviewer method is used to collect the data with questioners instrument. The picky eater categorized into two categories, picky eater and non picky eater. Children’s nutritional status determined by Weight for Height index. Statistical analysis, Mann Whitney test used to analyze the correlation between independent and dependent variable. Research Result: There is no correlation between picky eater status and the nutritional status (p 0,467 > 0, 05).Key Word: Picky Eater Status, Nutritional Status.

Abstract

AbstrakAbstrakTungkai adalah ekstremitas bawah sebagai penopang tubuh bagian atas dan terdiri dari beberapa tulang. Pola konsumsi makanan, terutama sumber energi, protein, kalsium, dan fosfor, pada remaja merupakan faktor yang dapat memengaruhi pertumbuhan tungkai. Studi pendahuluan di SMP Walisongo 1 Semarang menunjukkan 10 dari 18 siswa (usia 14 tahun) memiliki tinggi badan tidak sesuai umurnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara tingkat kecukupan energi, protein, kalsium, dan fosfor dengan panjang tungkai remaja di SMP Walisongo 1 Semarang. Rancangan penelitian ini adalah cross sectional. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 38 siswa, yang ditetapkan secara purposive sampling. Data konsumsi diukur dengan metode recall 3 x 24 jam. Panjang tungkai diukur menggunakan pita ukur. Hubungan variabel diuji dengan Kolerasi Pearson dan Regresi Linier Berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 63,2% remaja kekurangan energi, 34,2% kekurangan protein, 97,4% kekurangan kalsium, dan 60,6% kekurangan fosfor. Tidak ada hubungan antara tingkat kecukupan energi dengan panjang tungkai (p=0,176), tingkat kecukupan protein dengan panjang tungkai (p=0,150), tingkat kecukupan kalsium dengan panjang tungkai (p=0,840), dan tingkat kecukupan fosfor dengan panjang tungkai (p=0,295). Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah tingkat kecukupan energi, protein, kalsium, dan fosfor tidak berhubungan dengan panjang tungkai pada remaja SMP Walisongo 1 Semarang.Kata kunci: energi, protein, kalsium, fosfor, panjang tungkai remajaAbstractLimb is the lower extremity as upper body support and consists of several bones. The pattern of food consumption, especially energy, protein, calcium, and phosphorus sources, in adolescents is a factor affecting the limb growth. A preliminary study at Walisongo Junior High School 1 Semarang showed 10 out of 18 students (aged 14 years old) had inappropriate height. This study aims to determine the correlation among adequacy of energy, protein, calcium, and phosphorus with the limb length among adolescents in Walisongo Junior High School 1 Semarang. This study used cross sectional design research. The number of samples was 38 students determined by purposive sampling. The consumption was measured by 3 x 24 hour recall method. Limb length was measured using measuring tape. Variable relationships were tested using Pearson Correlation and Multiple Linear Regression. The results showed that 63.2% of adolescents lack of energy, 34.2% protein deficiency, 97.4% calcium deficiency, and 60.6% phosphorus deficiency. There was no correlation between energy sufficiency level with limb length (p=0.176), protein adequacy level with limb length (p=0.150), calcium adequacy level with limb length (p=0.840), and phosphorus adequacy level with limb length (p=0.295). This research concludes that the sufficiency level of energy, protein, calcium, and phosphorus does not relate to limb length of the adolescent in Walisongo Junior High school 1 Semarang.Keywords: energy, protein, calcium, phosphorus, adolescent’s limb length

Abstract

Cancer is the 4th leading cause of death in Indonesia for non infectious diseases. The risk of all types of cancer can be lowered by increasing the consumption of vegetables rich in carotene (Vitamin A). Cancer patients in Indonesia estimated 1.02 million people and the prevalence of cancer patients in hospitals Tugurejo Semarang in 2015 was 2.39%. Objective to determine the relationship of vitamin A with levels of lymphocytes of breast cancer patients. This research is explanatory research with cross sectional approach, in hospitals Tugurejo Semarang in July 2016. The population is breast cancer patients in the wards in hospitals Tugurejo Semarang. Samples were taken based on inclusion criteria (11 people). The analysis used is the Pearson Test. The mean age of respondents was 45.9 7.8 years. The mean body mass index of respondents was 21.16 4.11 kg / m2. The mean serum albumin level was 3.44 0.985 g / dl. The mean levels of lymphocyte is 1,51x103 0,71x103 / mm3 most respondents have less lymphocyte levels were 9 people (81.81%). The mean intake of vitamin A is 1053.8 689.7 g most respondents have a good intake level of 8 people (72.72%). No statistically significant association with the intake of vitamin A levels of lymphocytes (p = 0.853). There is no relationship between intake of vitamin A with lymphocytes in breast cancer patients. Keywords: vitamin A, lymphocytes, breast cancer

Abstract

Penyakit kanker merupakan penyebab kematian ke-4 terbesar di Indonesia untuk penyakit tidak menular. Menurut penelitian Kurniasari (2015) asupan protein berhubungan secara signifikan dengan kualitas hidup pasien kanker. Resiko semua jenis kanker dapat diturunkan dengan meningkatkan konsumsisayuran yang kaya karoten (vitaminA) (Anonim, 2012). Penderita kanker di Indonesia diperkirakan 1,02 juta jiwa (Kompas.com, 2012) dan prevalensi pasien kanker payudara di RSUD Tugurejo Semarang tahun 2015 adalah 2,39% (Catatan Medik, 2015). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahuideskripsi usia, IMT, asupan protein, vitamin A, kadar albumin dan kadar limfosit pasien kanker payudara. Desain penelitian ini adalah diskriptif. Tempat penelitian di RSUD Tugurejo Semarang pada bulan Juli 2016. Populasi adalah semua pasien kanker di ruang rawat inap di RSUD Tugurejo Semarang. Sampel diambil berdasarkan kriteria inklusi sehingga diperoleh 11 orang. Analisa univariat digunakan untuk mendeskripsikan masing-masing variable dan karakteristik sampel. Rerata usia responden adalah 45,97,8 tahun dengan usia sebagian besar berusia 30-49 tahun berjumlah 9 orang (81,9%). Rerata Indeks Massa Tubuh responden adalah 21,164,11 kg/m2 dan sebagian besar memiliki status gizi normal sebanyak 6 orang (54,54%). Rerata kadar albumin adalah 3,440,985 g/dl sebagian besar sebanyak 7 orang memiliki kadar albumin kurang (63,63%). Rerata kadar limosit adalah 1,51x10 3 0,71x10 3 /mm 3 sebagian besar responden memiliki kadar limfosit kurang sebanyak 9 orang (81,81%). Rerata asupan protein adalah 50,0924,77 g/hari sebagian besar responden memiliki tingkat asupan protein kurang sebanyak 9 orang (81,81%). Rerata asupan vitamin A adalah 1053,8689,7 g sebagian besar responden memiliki tingkat asupan baik sebanyak 8 orang (72,72%). Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah pasien kanker payudara mengalami penurunan asupan protein, albumin dan limfosit tetapi asupan vitamin A baik.Kata kunci : protein, vitamin A, limfosit, albumin, kanker
