Abstract

Abstrak Makalah ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan cara membangun ide  siswa menggunakan gambar brosur wisata. Salah satu media pengajaran yang dapat membantu siswa dalam memahami deskriptif teks adalah “brosur wisata”. Langkah-langkah pengajaran deskriptif teks dengan gambar brosur wisata yaitu:   1. Persiapan, guru mempersiapkan materi deskriptif teks, media ajar yang akan digunakan, gambar brosur wisata dan rencana pengajaran. 2. Sebelum-pengajaran, guru mengaktifkan latar belakang pengetahuan murid dengan memperlihat kan brosur wisata. 3. Sewaktu-pengajaran, guru memodelkan sebuah brosur wisata, dan menjelaskan cara mendeskripsikannya, menyuruh murid mendeskripsikan teks tersebut di depan kelas. 4. Sesudah-pengajaran, guru memberikan umpan balik, nilai dan penghargaan kepada murid. Key words: speaking ability, generate ideas, tourism brochure pictures, descriptive text.

Abstract

EFFECT OF Mn-Ti IONS DOPING AND SINTERING TEMPERATURE ON PROPERTIES OF BARIUM HEXAFERRITE. Mn-Ti doped (0, 0.1, 0.4, 0.5, and 0.6 mole%-barium hexaferrite powders have been prepared from BaCO3, Fe2O3, TiO2 andMnO powder by mechanical alloying technique for 20 hours. The mixture powder were grinded and then dried at 100 °C for 24 hours, followed by calcined at 1,000 °C for 2 hours. The calcined powder was then crushed into 400 mesh (38 μm) in particle size. X-Ray Diffraction analysis was performed to determine the phase formed. The powder was mixed with 3 wt%Celuna WE -518 polymer, and compressed with applied force of 5 tons. The sintering process was done at temperatures of 1100 °C and 1150 °C for 2 hours. The microstructure of sintered samples was observed by Scanning Electron Microscope - Energy Dispersive X-Ray Spectroscopy (SEM-EDS). The magnetic properties and Reflection Loss (RL) was measured by permeagraph Magnet-Physik and Vector Network Analyzer (VNA), respectively. The results show that the remanance (Br) of samples are likely to decrease with increase in %mol of Mn-Ti and the optimum coercivity (HCJ) 4,42 kOe was achieved at 0,5 mole% Mn-Ti. The maximum reflection loss of -25,6 dB was obtained at 0,4mole%Mn-Ti with sintering temperature of 1100 °C for 2 hours. Accordingly, it can be potentially used for microwave absorption application.

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the results of improvement of physical fitness through fast walking exercise program on fifth grade students of SD Negeri 1 Kedaton Bandar Lampung, and to know the results of the different levels of physical fitness of students who take brisk workout program after giving treatment for 4 weeks for 5 times weekly meetings with students who do not follow the fast walking training program. There are differences in the calculation of the results of improvement of physical fitness among students who were given treatment (experimental group) was 34.30%, and untreated (control group) of 0.73%. Use of fast walking exercise program is very effective in improving physical fitness in the fifth grade students of SD Negeri 1 Kedaton Bandar Lampung.Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui hasil peningkatan kebugaran jasmani melalui program latihan jalan cepat pada siswa kelas V SD Negeri 1 Kedaton Bandar Lampung, serta mengetahui hasil perbedaan tingkat kebugaran jasmani siswa yang mengikuti program latihan jalan cepat setelah pemberian perlakuan selama 4 minggu sebanyak 5 kali pertemuan perminggu dengan siswa yang tidak mengikuti program latihan jalan cepat. Dari hasil perhitungan terdapat perbedaan hasil peningkatan kebugaran jasmani antara siswa yang diberi perlakuan (kelompok eksperimen) sebesar 34,30 persen, dan yang tidak diberi perlakuan (kelompok kontrol) sebesar 0,73 persen. Penggunaan program latihan jalan cepat sangat efektif dalam meningkatkan kebugaran jasmani pada siswa kelas V SD Negeri 1 Kedaton Bandar Lampung.Kata kunci : peningkatan, kebugaran jasmani, program latihan jalan cepat

Abstract

Iron sand is one of the natural resources in West Sumatra that has not been optimally utilized. One of the potential locations to get this iron sand deposits is the coast of Kata. This study aims to analyze the content and size of the iron grains found on the coast of Kata Padang Beach, West Sumatera Province. Coastal sand samples are extracted using permanent magnets to separate magnetic and non-magnetic materials. Characterization of iron sand using Scanning Electron Microscopy with Energy Dispersive X-ray (SEM-EDX) and Vibrating Sample Magnetometer (VSM). The result of characterization using SEM-EDX shows that iron sand samples contain Fe and O elements derived from Phase Magnetite (Fe3O4).  Keywords: iron sand, magnetic materials, SEM-EDX, VSM

Abstract

Pada penelitian ini, telah dilakukan investigasi efek aditif FeMo dan proses kalsinasi pada pembuatan magnet permanen bariumheksaferit (BaFe12O19). Proses pembuatan magnet bariumheksaferit dilakukan denganmetode mechanical alloying. Serbuk hasil mixing antara BaFe12O19dan FeMo dikalsinasi dengan variasi suhu kalsinasi 1000 oC dan 1200 oC. Karakterisasi yang dilakukan meliputi sifat fisis dan magnetik, dengan menggunakan X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) dan piknometeruntuk mengetahui fasa dan nilai densitas magnet, serta menggunakanVibrating SampleMagnetometer (VSM) pada pengukuran sifatmagnetikmagnet bariumheksaferit. Dari hasil eksperimen, dapat diketahui bahwa penambahan aditif FeMo dapat menaikkan nilai densitas pada serbuk bariumheksaferit. Hasil analisis sifat magnetik, dapat diketahui bahwa penambahan aditif FeMo secara keseluruhan menurunkan sifat magnetik magnet. Namun penambahan %wt FeMo menaikkan nilai remanensi, saturasi dan energi produk maksimum (BHmax) magnet barium heksaferit, meskipun nilai koersivitas magnet tetap menurun. Sedangkan kenaikan suhu kalsinasi mampu menaikkan nilai remanensi, dan BHmax, namun menurunkan nilai koersivitas dan saturasi dari magnet barium heksaferit. Hal ini menunjukkan penambahan zat aditif FeMo mampu mengubah struktur material magnet permanen barium heksaferit dari hard magnetik menjadi soft magnetik material. Nilai optimumdihasilkan pada komposisi penambahan 5 %wt aditif FeMo dengan nilai densitas serbuk 3,71 g/cm3 sebelum dikalsinasi, dan memiliki sifat magnetik seperti: saturasi 2,12 kG, remanensi 1,15 kG, koersivitas 0,45 kOe dan BHmax0,145 MGOe setelah dikalsinasi pada suhu 1000 oC.

Abstract

In this paper, a flywheel generator system as a kinetic energy storage was analysed that consists of both theoretical models (analytical and numerical) and experimental. The analytical model was solved to calculate the kinetic energy stored and the moment of inertia of the flywheel. On the other hand, the numerical model was developed to analyse the stress and the deformation distributions on the flywheel. The experiments were conducted by varying the flywheel mass of 15-18 kg; and the pulley ratio of 1:1, 2:1, 3:1. The numerical simulation confirmed that the stress and the deformation values on the flywheel were under the material ultimate stress. The experimental results suggested that the increase of the flywheel mass also increases the capability of the flywheel to store the kinetic energy. A similar trend also found in the pulley ratio variations where the increase of the pulley ratio enhances the rotational speed of the generator thus increasing its electricity generation.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the characteristics of the process and product, development of water cycle and to determine the quality criteria for the feasibility of water cycle diorama media on the theme of events in the life of fifth grade SD Negeri Jetis 2. This research is a research and development study with the aim of producing new products. This media uses a 3D development model developed by Thiagarajan, Summel. This study has four stages, namely Define, Design, Develop. The results of this study indicate that the media developed in SD Negeri Jetis 2 in the good category. Based on the assessment of material experts, the good category with a score of 3.84. Based on media experts included in the good category with a score of 3.41. Based on the results of field trials with 8 students, this media was included in the good category, with an average score of 4.03.

Abstract

Pada penelitian ini, telah dilakukan analisa efek doping Mn2+/Cu2+ sebanyak 0.1%mol terhadap struktur barium heksaferit sebagai material absorbsi gelombang mikro. Sintesis material dilakukan dengan metode mechanical alloying menggunakan planetary ball mill. Powder yang telah di-milling dikalsinasi pada temperature 1000 °C selama 2 jam. Powder hasil kalsinasi di kompaksi dengan tekanan 1.5 kgf/cm2 membentuk pellet dan di sinter pada temperatur 1150 °C selama 2 jam. Dari hasil eksperimen, menunjukkan penambahan ion Mn2+/Cu2+0.1 %mol mengakibatkan nilai densitas bulk meningkat jika dibandingkan dengan  barium heksaferit. Efek penambahan ion Mn2+/Cu2+ menurunkan nilai koersivitas (Hjc) dan menaikkan nilai remanensi (Mr) yaitu BaFe12O19 memiliki Hjc = 6.45 KOe dan Mr = 0.91 KG, BaFe11.9Mn0.1O19 memiliki Hjc = 3.27 KOe dan Mr = 1.62 KG sedangkan BaFe11.9Cu0.1O19 memiliki Hjc = 1.75 KOe dan Mr = 1.79 KG. Pengukuran refflection loss gelombang mikro menggunkan VNA menunjukkan bahwa penambahan ion Mn2+/Cu2+ pada barium heksaferit memiliki rentang frekuensi yang berbeda. Frekuensi BaFe11.9Mn0.1O19 sekitar 4 – 10 GHz dan BaFe11.9Cu0.1O19 sekitar 4 – 8 GHz. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa besar penyerapan gelombang yang cukup signifikan dengan adanya penambahan doping Mn/Cu 0.1 %mol jika dibandingkan terhadap barium hexaferit.

Abstract

Telah berhasil dibuat disain dan konstruksi turbin angin savoniuspada generator (single phase)magnet permanen NdFeB. Variasi jumlah sudu turbin masing-masing dibuat sebanyak 4, 8 dan 16 buah, dengan sumber fluida(angin) yangberasaldari turbo fan (220V/50Hz – 98W). Pada penelitian ini akan dilihat korelasi antara kecepaatan angin terhadap kecepatan putar generator, output tegangaan tanpa dan dengan beban lampu LED5W, arus listrik dan daya listrik yang dihasilkan generator tersebut. Hasil unjuk kerjagenerator (single phase)magnet permanen NdFeBterhadap pengaruh jumlah sudu turbin relatif linier, baik terhadap kecepatan putar generator, output tegangan, arus dan daya listrik. Korelasi ini menunjukkan bahwa kondisi optimum diperoleh pada kecepatan angin 6,5 m/s dan jumlah sudu turbin sebanyak 16 buah, masing-masing menghasilkan kecepatan putar generator, output tegangan tanpa dan dengan beban, arus dan daya listrik adalah 120rpm, 44,3V, 109,8V, 100mA dan 4W. Generator (single phase)magnet permanen NdFeByang dihasilkan dapat digunakan sebagai lampu darurat terutama pada jalan tol.
