Development of Inverter as a Boost Converter for DC Microgrid

Abstract

DC boost converter is an essensial equipment in the system of DC microgrid which has a function as step up voltage. In making a boost converter equipment of power generation, it often encounters a problem its own especially in designing of switching transformer, so that it is required a long time and high cost. In order to solve that problem, in this research it has been made a development of inverter as boost converter which has been done by simulation and experiment. The simulation results show that for an input voltage 10-14 Vdc yields voltage 254 Vdc, while by testing for an input voltage 10-14 Vdc yields voltage 253 Vdc. Either simulation or test show that voltage can be applied in the system of dc micro grid for the need of load based switch mode power supplay /SMPS

Abstract

Hipertensi, keadaan tekanan darah sistole lebih dari 140 mmHg dan tekanan diastole lebih dari 90 mmHg, merupakan salah satu masalah kesehatan utama yang terjadi di Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengamplifikasi enhancer gen renin pasien hipertensi di Rumah Sakit Dr. Saiful Anwar Malang yang di dalamnya terdapat SNP C-5312T. Pengambilan DNA dari sel darah putih pasien hipertensi menggunakan kit Purelink® Genomic DNA Kits – Invitrogen. Selanjutnya DNA yang sudah diekstraksi dilakukan PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction). Selanjutnya dilakukan PCR dengan primer yang digunakan adalah primer forward 5’-GTAGTGCCATTTTTAGGAAC-3’ dan primer reverse yaitu 5’-AACACCAAAGCAGGCTTAA-3’. Produk PCR diuji secara kualitatif pada gel agarosa 1,5%. Hasil PCR yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa amplifikasi enhancer gen renin memiliki panjang pasangan basa sebesar 254 bp. Abstract

Pada penelitian ini dibuat aplikasi machine vision yang menggunakan algoritma averaging point untuk mengatasi kesalahan pengukuran panjang ikan lele secara visual dikarenakan posisi tubuh (lengkungan) objek ukur yang bervariasi.algoritma ini bekerja dengan cara menentukan titik tengah, batas kiri dan kanan objek, serta menarik sebuah garis lurus yang melewati titik tengah untuk mengukur panjang objek. Rata rata akurasi pengukuran dengan menggunakan algoritma ini adalah 96.5 %. Simpangan / error terbesar adalah 2.5 mm pada lengkungan dengan penyusutan dari ujung ke ujung sebesar 30%. Berdasarkan perhitungan Pearson Correlation, disimpulkan bahwa lengkungan memiliki hubungan sebab akibat yang kecil terhadap error dalam pengukuran panjang ikan dengan konstanta pearson sebesar 0.26.

Abstract

Maospati Highway in Solo is one of the main roads in the East Java Province, considered as accident-prone. As a national road and primary artery, this road has an important role in the distribution of goods and services both intra and interprovincial. The type of highway is 4/2 UD with 11 meters width. The aim of this study is to determine which areas are considered as the accident-prone areas or blacksite, the factors cause the accidents, and suggest some prevention recommendations. The necessary data is the LHR data obtained from the Department of Public Works Binamarga East Java province and traffic accidents data of Police Magetan, east java. Blacksite analysed by method based on accident rates path length LQ and intersection LQ, and the Accident Rate. Based on the analysis, it is conluded that blacksite occurred in the village of Malang, with a value of LQ> 1, and Accident Rate exceeded the upper limit value. The dominant factor causes the accidents is human factor, such as lack of anticipation when driving. The recommendations suggested for the location are the provision of signs, rumble strips and other safety facilities.

Abstract

Website merupakan salah satu media dalam menyebarkan sebuah informasi, salah satunya yaitu website Ki Purbo Asmoro. Namun, ditemukan beberapa keluhan dari para pengguna saat mengakses website tersebut. Untuk mengetahui masalah apa saja pada website tersebut, dibutuhkan sebuah analisis user experience dengan pendekatan usability melalui metode Heuristic Evaluation. Selain itu, untuk lebih mengetahui akan kesan, tujuan, serta harapan pengguna dalam menggunakan website, dibentuklah sebuah Persona sebagai representasi karakter fiksi pengguna potensial website tersebut. Evaluasi dilakukan sebanyak 2 tahap. Evaluasi tahap 1 guna menemukan masalah pada website awal. Evaluasi tahap 2 untuk menemukan masalah pada prototype perbaikan yang dibangun berdasarkan solusi atas masalah yang ditemukan pada evaluasi tahap 1 dan Persona. Hasil pada evaluasi tahap 1, prinsip heuristic yang banyak ditemukan masalah yaitu pada prinsip H4 - Consistency and Standards, dan pada H8 - Aesthetic and Minimalist Design. Sedangkan pada evaluasi tahap 2 ditemukan masalah pada prinsip H4 - Consistency and Standards, dan H7 - Flexibility and Efficiency of use. Perbaikan yang dilakukan berpengaruh pada menurunya jumlah temuan masalah serta nilai severity ratings diantara kedua tahap evaluasi.

Saturated Iteration of Neighborhood Averaging Filter Algorithm For Kinect Structural Noise Eliminator For Wild Thumper

Abstract

A contemporary study (Andersen, 2012) on the Kinect sensor as a visual sensor device for robots explains that the sensor has some fundamental flaws. Among them there is a shadow on the results of sensing edge objects that will affect the process of recognition of shape (shape recognition) spatially. If the Kinect sensor is used in the robot vision navigation system, the sensor may lead to errors in the robots decision on the shape of the object being sensed. The experiment was aimed to measure the saturation iteration level for the Localized Neighborhood-Averaging method in its effect on the shadow thickness (structural noise) produced by kinect sensors. Robot model that will be used for testing is the robot Wild Thumper 4WD. The kinect sensor is conditioned to capture a square black object measuring 10cm x 10cm perpendicular to a homogeneous background (white with RGB code 255,255,255). The result of kinect sensor data will be taken using Visual Basic 6.0 program periodically by repeating the Localized Neighborhood-Averaging method 1x up to 5x iteration. Observation will be done by looking at the similarity of edge slices of objects captured by Kinect sensors. Saturated iteration Neighborhood-Averaging filter on pixel noise generated by kinect is on the 3rd iteration based on observation of edge section with 2 iteration ratio showing no change in noise thickness. The noise thread at the 2nd and 3rd iterations has the same contours based on the Coefficient of Variation calculations applied to both data. The use of filters is by filter masking 3x3 matrix size. It is expected that further research can be developed on the size of 5x5 or more masking filters in the hope of having a better saturation iteration tolerance result.

ROI Based Post Image Quality Assessment Technique on Multiple Localized Filtering Method On Kinect HD Sensor Mobile Robot

Abstract

 The ROI (Region of Interest) Image Quality Assessment is an image quality assessment model based on the SSI (Structural Similarity Index) index used in the specific image region desired to be assessed. Output assessmen value used by this image assessment model is 1 which means identical and -1 which means not identical. Assessment model of ROI Quality Assessment in this research is used to measure image quality on Kinect sensor capture result used in Mobile HD Robot after applied Multiple Localized Filtering Technique. The filter is applied to each capture sensor depth result on Kinect, with the aim to eliminate structural noise that occurs in the Kinect sensor. Assessment is done by comparing image quality before filter and after filter applied to certain region. The kinect sensor will be conditioned to capture a square black object measuring 10cm x 10cm perpendicular to a homogeneous background (white with RGB code 255,255,255). The results of kinect sensor data will be taken through EWRF 3022 by visual basic 6.0 program periodically 10 times each session with frequency 1 time per minute. The results of this trial show the same similar index (value 1: identical) in the luminance, contrast, and structural section of the edge region or edge region of the specimen. The value indicates that the Multiple Localized Filtering Technique applied to the noise generated by the Kinect sensor, based on the ROI Image Quality Assessment model has no effect on the image quality generated by the sensor.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the development of products made by PT Kawasaki Motor Indonesia which includes design, technology development and product performance Kawasaki Ninja 250 FI and to determine the influence of changes in design, technology development and performance simultaneously and partially on consumer satisfaction users Kawasaki Ninja 250 FI. The population in this study is the Kawasaki Ninja 250 FI users belonging to the community Kawasaki Ninja. The sampling of 100 respondents was conducted by using probability sampling. This study was descriptive and verification. The collection of data through questionnaires and interview. Analisys data this research include multiple regression analysis, based on the results of multiple regression analysis of the F-test states that simultaneous factors design changes, technological development and performance motor influence on user satisfaction Kawasaki Ninja 250 FI. While the results of the t-test stating that the factor changes design, technology and performance motor partially affect the user satisfaction Kawasaki Ninja 250 FI.Keywords: Design Changes, Technology Development, Motor Performance, User Satisfaction

Association of Peripheral Blood RASSF1A and CDKN2A Methylation Status with Smoking Behaviour in Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma

Abstract

BACKGROUND: Hypermethylation of RASSF1A and CDKN2A is one of epigenetic factor underlies nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) development. Smoking behavior as an NPC’s risk factor causes aberrant DNA methylation. RASSF1A and CDKN2A promoter hypermethylation from peripheral blood cells correlates with smoking behavior. The use of body fluids including peripheral blood as a specimen for DNA methylation analyzes are widely developed, as less invasive method compared to the use of tissue biopsy. This study aims to observe the association between RASSF1A and CDKN2A methylation in peripheral blood and smoking behavioramong NPC patients.METHODS: Newly diagnosed NPC subjects were recruited from ear-nose-throat (ENT) outpatient clinic of Dr. Sardjito Hospital, Yogyakarta. DNA from buffycoat of 19 smokers and 20 non-smokers NPC’s patients were isolated. Bisulphite modification was applied to 500 ng of the isolated DNA. The methylation status was detected by MSP (methylation-specific polymerase chain reaction (PCR)). The association between smoking status and promoter hypermethylation was analysis using Chi-Square test.RESULTS: MSP analysis of RASSF1A showed that 68.42% smoker and 75% non-smoker NPC’s patients were methylated. MSP analysis of CDKN2A showed that 21.05% smoker and 25% non-smoker NPC’s patients were methylated. There was no association between smoking behavior with RASSF1A and CDKN2A methylation (p>0.05).CONCLUSION: Statistical analysis showed that smoking behavior is not associated with methylation of RASSF1A and CDKN2A among NPC’s patients.KEYWORDS: DNA methylation, CDKN2A, RASSF1A, Nasopharyngeal carcinoma, Smoking
