Abstract

Dengue fever still becomes health problem in Indonesia. In Palu municipality total reported case for the last three years (2005-2007) is 1,647, and 19 of them was reported die. The aim of this survey was to investigate larvae index and container of Aedes in endemic and potencial area for dengue fever. From this survey, it was shown that larvae index in Palu was relatively high both in the endemic or potencial areas. It was also shown that 9 types of container had a potential as Aedes aegypti breeding places. So that, the breeding places need to be observed to prevent the increase of the endemic dengue fever area. Socialization on how to protect the dengue fever to the local people in the endemic area is urgently needed by controlling the breeding places. A team work which consists of related government sectors should be established to control the dengue fever.     Key words: Aedes aegypti, Breeding places, Container, Larvae index

Abstract

Collection of schistosomiasis speciments in Lindu Plateu had been conducted on April 2007 in Tomado and Anca village, Kulawi subdistrict, Donggala regency, Central Sulawesi province. The objective of the collection was to collect the schistosomiasis speciments include the snail hos intermediate (Oncomelania  hupensis lindoensis), host reservoir such as rodents, and S. japonicum worm from rat. Results of the collection were 235 numbers of O.h lindoensis were found at Paku 7 fokus area, 3 Rattus hofmani and 2 R.exculans as host reservoir of schistosomiasis were found at focus area Tornado I, Anca village which infected by S. japonicum.   Keywords : schistosomiasis, S Japonicum, host intermediate snail Oncomelania hupensis lindoensis, Host reservoir Rattus spp.

Abstract

The potential of mangove fruit as a food source has not been known yet. Mangove is a potential material to be used as a food substitute, one of which is the process of making flour. One part of the Mangove is used for the manufacture of flour is the fruit of mangove A.marina. Toxins such as HCN in fruit may cause constraint in food processing, so it needs to be removed. The ways that can be done by immersion and boiling them with rice husk ash. Rice husk ash is material that is expected to absorb HCN as toxin in fruit. This research used Completely Randomized Design (CRD) factorial pattern consisting of two factors treatments with three replicates by 6 hours immersion time (4, 8 and 12 replications) and ash contents (5, 10, 15% W). Data were analyzed by two-way ANOVA using SPSS. The results showed that treatment with several concentrations of ash boiling and long water immersion to give a significant influence on levels of HCN A.marina mangove fruit flour. Treatment with boiling 15% ash content and 6 hours of water immersion to 12 replications provides the best results of the HCN content of fruit and flour mangove mangove A.marina

Abstract

Almost all of modern gas insulated switchgears (GIS) use sulphur hexafluoride (SF6) as insulation material. Therefore, GIS quality much or less depends on quality of its SF6. Failure however can arise within operation of SF6 GIS due to quality decline of SF6. Quality decline of SF6 in GIS can be recognized by existence of decomposition product of SF6, which may appear due to partial discharge, arc during switching, etc. Therefore quality control of SF6 insulation in GIS is necessary in order to prevent failure occurred due to SF6 quality decline. In this study, quality assessment of SF6 at Waru 150 kV SF6 GIS is done using equipment namely partial discharge ion mobility spectrometer.  This equipment assesses quality of SF6 based on ions mobility. Concentration of decomposition product is then obtained from ion mobility of gas analyzed. For all compartment tested of Waru 150 kV SF6 GIS, it was found that the largest concentration of decomposition product is between 1000-2000 ppmv. Generally, SF6 condition at Waru 150 kV SF6 GIS is normal based on CIGRE standard.

Abstract

Education can not be separated from the use of technology, especially educational language is sometimes very dependent on the technology itself. It is the one who pushed for the creation of creativity in technology transfer. A frequent problem in learning is often caused by the lack of media to assist students in learning and teaching activities. For that created various models of technology systems. and one of them is the LMS or Learning Management System. LMS or Learning Management System is one example for the application of advanced technology-based learning. Where the use of this technology is a very important role to provide information system to the users of this case is the students.

Abstract

E-Education using for setting of pedagogic practices with emphasis on learning with the use of electronic instruments. Education by itself changes fundamentally where electronics are at stake; it is will have a different character and a different understanding of the social relations that sustain the process of education. E-education embodies furthermore specific programs and devices, which are not only confined to information (data transference and e-learning), amusement (e-games) or storytelling (like what happens in family circles). Goals beyond them are generally described in vague terms such as personal growth or change. Social Media Network is change is indeed the key notion in the case of e-education. Any form of change achieved in knowledge, behavior or attitude can be tested in e-education through accessing the students feedback, which is registered in connected computer programs

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 2 Juli–2 Agustus 2012 di Gapoktan Puspa Mekar Parongpong kabupaten Bandung Barat. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui efisiensi pakan dan hubungan produksi susu dengan konsumsi bahan kering, protein kasar, dan energidi peternakan sapi perah Gapoktan Puspa Mekar. Objek yang diamati pada penelitian ini adalah produksi susu, konsumsi bahan kering, protein kasar dan energi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode survei. Penelitian yang dilakukan termasuk ke dalam bentuk penelitan korelasional dengan pengambilan data secara random sampling. Sampel yang digunakan pada penelitian ini berjumlah 32 ekor. Data yang diperoleh selanjutnya dianalisis dengan menggunakan regresi berganda tiga prediktor. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif sebesar 0,322 antara produksi susu dengan konsumsi bahan kering, protein kasar dan energi dengan persamaan Y = -10,659 + 13,145X1 – 30,204X2 + 47,858X3, serta efisiensi penggunaan pakan sebesar 0,738dan efisiensi energi produksi susu adalah rendah atau inferior producer (0,220)Kata kunci:  produksi susu, konsumsi bahan kering, protein kasar, energi, dan efisiensi pakan

Abstract

Halte memiliki fungsi umum yang dapat digunakan oleh masyarakat sebagai tempat menunggu datangnya angkutan umum seperti bus dan lainnya. Pemanfaatan fungsi halte ini rupanya belum dimanfaatkan secara optimal dan cenderung banyak di salah gunakan oleh sebagian besar masyarakat Jakarta, khususnya sepanjang kawasan Harmoni, Jakarta Pusat. Hal ini dikarenakan banyak halte khusus dan umum yang dirasakan kurang nyaman, tidak aman dan fasilitas yang kurang serta tidak berfungsi sebagaimana mestinya. Maka dari itu perlu di lakukan analisis lebih mendalam mengenai sebuah halte. Penelitian pendahuluan halte yang akan di pilih oleh penulis adalah halte umum Harmoni, dengan cakupan percontohan sepanjang halte khusus (busway) Harmoni, halte khusus (busway) dan halte umum Monumen Nasional, halte khusus (busway) dan halte umum Mangga Besar, halte khusus (busway) dan halte umum  Sarinah, halte khusus dan halte umum Bundaran HI. Kriteria yang di buat dalam penelitian mencakup 3 unsur yang penting yakni mengenai pola prilaku masyarakat yang mencakup kebiasaan masyarakat urban, kehidupan sosial dan bentuk budaya. Lalu unsur ergonomi yang di lihat dari aspek antropometri, aspek lingkungan, dan psikologis pengguna. Dan yang terakhir adalah unsur teknologi yang di dasari atas teknologi ramah lingkungan yang mendukung gerakan Go-Green, seperti Solar Cell,  sehingga di akhir penelitian nanti bisa memunculkan desain halte yang nyaman, memberikan penerapan pendisiplinan terhadap masyarakat dan berfungsi secara optimal. Kata kunci: halte, prilaku masyarakat urban (karakteristik), ergonomi

Abstract

Abstract Oncomelania hupensis lindoensissnail and its habitat has an important role in the transmission of schistosomiasis in Central Sulawesi, particularly in three isolated areas, Lindu valley, Napu valley and Bada valley. In a part of Schistosomiasis life cycle, inside the snail, Schistosoma japonicummiracidia will undergo a series of stages as sporocyst and cercaria. People are infected by cercaria, the infective stage of S. japonicum.This study were conducted to reconfirm the distribution of O. h. lindoensishabitats in Lindu valley area. The snails were searched and collected in the suspected habitat using ring-sample and man per minute methods by skilled staffs from VBDRU Donggala and Schistosomasis laboratory plus trained local people in the collections. Data on the distribution of snail habitats were recorded by using GPS. Snails and vegetation in the habitats were collected for further analysis in the laboratory. A total of 129 snail habitat were recorded in Lindu valley, consisting of 135 old foci and 1 new focus. In this area, a total of 61 foci are still active of snail habitats. Foci are distributed in several types of habitat, i.e. abandon rice fields, ditches, springs, dry farming, shrubs and forest. Each type habitat has a relative similar vegetation species. The infection rates of O. h. lindoensiswith cercariae in Anca, Tomado dan Puroo villages were 5.27%, 3.19% and 7.58% respectively. These results indicate that the Schistosomiasis transmission is still going on in Lindu valley.Keywords : Distribution, Oncomelania hupensis lindoensis, Habitat, Schistosomiasis, Lindu Valley, Sulawesi TengahAbstrakKeberadaan keong Oncomelania hupensis lindoensis dan habitatnya mempunyai peranan penting terhadap terjadinya penularan Skistosomiasis di Sulawesi Tengah, khususnya di 3 daerah endemis yang cukup terisolasi, yaitu Dataran tinggi Lindu, Dataran Tinggi Napu dan Dataran Tinggi Bada. Di dalam keong tersebut, mirasidium Schistosoma japonicum akan melakukan beberapa tahap perkembangan menjadi sporokista dan serkaria. Manusia akan sakit setelah terinfeksi oleh serkaria tersebut yang merupakan stadium infektif dari Schistosoma japonicum. Studi ini dilakukan untuk merekonfirmasi penyebaran habitat O. h. lindoensisdi wilayah Dataran Tinggi Lindu. Survey dilaksanakan dengan melakukan penyisiran ke daerahyang pernah teridentifikasi sebagai fokus keong O. h. lindoensis maupun penyisiran daerah baru yang diduga merupakan habitat yang cocok untuk perkembangbiakan O. h. lindoensis.Pada setiap fokus yang masih aktif, dilakukan koleksi keong secara sampling dengan 2 metode, yaitu metode ring-sample dan man per minute. Koleksi keong dilakukan oleh staf Balai Litbang P2B2 Donggala, Staf Laboratorium Skistosomiasis Lindu dan penduduk lokal yang telah terlatih untuk melakukan kegiatan survey keong O. h. lindoensis. Data distribusi habitat O. h. lindoensisdicatat dengan menggunakan GPS. Keong dan jenis tumbuhan penyusun fokus habitat juga dikoleksi untuk analisis lanjut di laboratorium. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa fokus habitat O. h. lindoensisyang ditemukan sebanyak 129 fokus, terdiri atas 60 fokus masih aktif, 75 fokus tidak aktif dan 1 fokus baru yang sebelumnya belum pernah ditemukan. Fokus-fokus tersebut terdistribusi di beberapa tipe habitat, yaitu sawah yang tidak diolah, parit/saluran air, mata air, kebun, semak belukar dan hutan. Setiap tipe habitat memiliki jenis vegetasi penyusun habitat yang relatif sama. Tingkat infeksi serkaria S. japonicum pada keong O. h. lindoensis di Desa Anca, Tomado dan Puroo, yaitu berturut-turut 5,27%, 3,19% dan 7,58% menunjukkan bahwa penularan Skistosomiasis di dataran tinggi Lindu masih terus terjadi.Kata kunci : Distribusi, Fokus, Habitat, Oncomelania hupensis lindoensis, Skistosomiasis, Dataran Tinggi Lindu, Sulawesi Tengah

Abstract

PT. X adalah salah satu perusahaan BUMN milik pemerintah yang bergerak pada bidang pembuatan alat transportasi untuk keperluan pemerintah. Salah satu masalah yang terjadi adalah kualitas komponen cacat. Perusahaan telah melakukan perbaikan tetapi perbaikan tersebut belum mampu mencapai standar cacat sebesar 1% pada setiap komponen pertahunnya. Metode failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA) adalah salah satu metode yang dapat mendeteksi masalah terjadinya cacat berdasarkan tingkat keparahan, probabilitas cacat dan sistem deteksi pengendalian perusahaan. Dari metode ini hasil yang diberikan adalah nilai Risk Priority Number berdasarkan penyebab cacat yang potensial. Nilai RPN berguna untuk mengetahui tingkat prioritas penyebab masalah. Dari nilai RPN dilakukan suatu usulan perbaikan untuk memberikan tindakan yang tepat agar dapat mengatasi masalah yang terjadi. Beberapa usulan perbaikan  dilakukan berdasarkan sistem penjadwalan perawatan mesin di perusahaan dan tinjauan langsung ke lapangan. X is one of the government-owned state-owned company engaged in the manufacture of transport equipment for governmental purposes. One problem that occurs is the quality of defective components. The Company has made improvements, but these improvements have not been able to achieve defect standard of 1% on each component annually. Methods failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA) is one method that can detect the problem of disability based on the severity, the probability of defect detection system and control of the company. This method results given are Risk Priority Number value based on the cause potential defects. RPN values ​​are useful to determine the priority level causes problems. Of the value of the RPN performed a proposed improvement to provide the appropriate measures in order to overcome the problems that occur. Some proposed improvements were made based on engine maintenance scheduling system in the company and review directly to the field.
