Abstract

Habitation is very essential for the survival of organisms because organisms can grow, multiply, feed and interact in their natural habitations. However, habitation destruction will undoubtedly make the organism's survival threatened and extinct. The purpose of this research was to know the vegetation composition of honey bee habitation (Apis dorsata) in Forest Education Area of Tadulako University, Bolano Lambunu District, the Regency of Parigi Moutong. This research used path method by landing initial plot under purposive sampling where honey bee nest found. 4 (four) paths were then made in length of 200 m. Each path consisted of 5 plots with 20 x 20 m, the distance between the plots of each path was 20 m, and the distance between the paths is 60 m. There were eventually 20 plots of observation. Based on the results of the research on the Vegetation Composition of Honey Bee Habitation (Apis dorsata) in Education Forest Area of Tadulako University, Bolano Lambunu District, the Regency of Parigi Moutong, 31 species of plants were found from 24 families in accordance with the tree level, pole, stake, and seedlings. The highest INP value of each level was the tree one with the value of INP of = 29.57%, the pole with INP = 20.83%, the stake with INP of = 26.84%, and the level Seedlings and lower plants with INP of = 22.86%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA dengan mengoptimalkan pemanfaatan lingkungan alam sekitar sebagai sumber belajar siswa Kelas IV MIN Parigi Kecamatan Sausu . Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan  kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam 2 siklus. Tahapan dalam penelitian ini meliputi: perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Data yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini meliputi hasil belajar siswa, hasil observasi aktivitas guru dan siswa diambil dari lembar observasi kegiatan guru dan lembar observasi aktivitas siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pada siklus I tuntas secara individu berjumlah 18 orang dari 29 siswa sehingga diperoleh ketuntasan klasikal 62,06% dan daya serap klasikal sebesar 64,48%. Pada siklus II diperoleh ketuntasan klasikal 100% dan daya serap klasikal 84,64%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran pada siklus II telah memenuhi indikator keberhasilan dengan daya serap klasikal minimal 70 dan ketuntasan belajar klasikal minimal 80%. Berdasarkan daya serap klasikal dan ketuntasan belajar klasikal pada kegiatan pembelajaran siklus II terjadi peningkatan dari siklus I ke siklus II sebesar 37,94%, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan memanfaatkan lingkungan alam sekitar sebagai sumber belajar dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA pada siswa kelas IV di MIN Parigi Kecamatan Sausu . Abstract

  Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini yaitu masih rendahnya hasil belajar siswa kelas IV pada mata pelajaran IPA khususnya materi tentang gaya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA dengan menggunakan metode eksperimen pada siswa Kelas IV SD Inpres Bantaya. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan  kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam 2 siklus. Adapun tahapan dalam penelitian ini meliputi tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Data yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini meliputi hasil belajar siswa, hasil observasi aktivitas guru dan siswa diambil dari lembar observasi kegiatan guru dan lembar observasi aktivitas siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada tindakan siklus I yang tuntas secara individu berjumlah 11 orang dari 19 siswa sehingga diperoleh ketuntasan klasikal 57,89% dan daya serap klasikal sebesar 64,21%. Pada tindakan siklus II diperoleh ketuntasan klasikal 100% dan daya serap klasikal 88,42%, terjadi peningkatan ketuntasan belajar klasikal dari siklus I ke siklus II sebesar 42,11%. Hal ini berarti pembelajaran pada siklus II telah memenuhi indikator keberhasilan dengan daya serap klasikal minimal 70 dan ketuntasan belajar klasikal minimal 80%. Berdasarkan daya serap klasikal dan ketuntasan belajar klasikal pada kegiatan pembelajaran siklus II, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan menerapkan metode eksperimen dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA pada siswa kelas IV di SD Inpres Bantaya. Abstract

Similar to the soils in other ecosystems, mangrove soil has natural characteristics as benchmark to identify its potential and productivity.The aim of this study was to investigate the chemical properties of soil below mangrove vegetation in Lebiti Village, Togean District, Tojo Una-Una Regency, which was detemined as the study area. This study was conducted in November 2015 to January 2016. Samples were selected by purposive sampling method in which both of soil and water were obtained from each type of mangrove vegetation in the study area. Soil sampling was done twice on each type of mangrove vegetation and collected by using PVC pipe of 2.5 inches with a length of 60 cm, while water was taken and stored in mineral water bottle. The entire samples were analyzed at the Soil Science Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Tadulako. Based on the field study, there were three types of mangrove vegetation, namely Sonneratia caseolaris, Bruguiera gymnorrhiza, and Rhizophora apiculata. The analysis on chemical properties demonstrated the pH was acidic to acidic (5.18 to 6.37), Nitrogen (total N) was moderate to very high (0.38% to 0.89%), phosphorus (available-P) was very low to high (1.78 to 16.69 ppm), potassium (available-K) was low to high (0.12 to 0.82 (cmol(+)kg-1)), Carbon (organic-C) was very high (2.08 to 9.30%), cation exchange capacity (CEC) was very (23.76 to 47.68 (cmol(+)kg-1)), and the levels of salinity was high (3.2 to 3.3 ppt).

Abstract

Mangrove is an ecosystem with uniqe function in the life environment. Because of the influence of sea and land, there was complex interaction happened between physical and biological properties in the mangrove area. The physical properties of mangrove able to act as breakwater as well as an intrusion detterent and sea abrasion.  Litter decomposition process of mangrove that occurs can support the life of living things in it. The existence of Mangrove forest that is located in Dolago village of South Parigi sub-district at Parigi Moutong district which alleged to have suffered damage, therefore it is necessary to do research related with the damage of mangrove forest in that village. This study aims to find out the condition of the damage of forest mangrove and the physical-chemical condition of water. This study have been conducted in Dolago village, South Parigi Sub-District, Parigi Moutong District in March until May 2016. The water analysis was conducted in Natural Resources and Environmental Analysis Laboratory of Agriculture Faculty Tadulako University. This study used Line Transect and Trasect Line Plot. Data obtained from 3 paths that have been made. Water sampling conducted on each path of vegetation observation. The result showed that the mangrove forest in Dolago village has been damaged with classified as moderately damage by the density 1233 btg/ha. The influence of physical-chemical of water condition at study site is still relatively good and has not been contaminated to support the growth of mangrove. However, the relative salinity value in a state exceeds of the standards set. Keywords: Damage, Forest, Mangrove

Abstract

The objective of the research was to find out soil physical condition of Mangrove Forest in  Dolago village South Parigi Subdistrict Parigi Moutong District. The research was conducted on January to March 2016 that located in Dolago village, South Parigi Subdistrict, Parigi Moutong District. The method of taking sample was purposive sampling, soil sample taken from each mangrove stand, the dominant ones were Sonneratia alba, Rhizophora sp and shifting between Sonneratia alba, and Rhizophora sp . The soil sample was analyzed in Agronomy Laboratory of Forestry Faculty of Tadulako University, and the measurement of mud depth was done in the location directly. The result of soil sample analysis from laboratory showed that soil pH on Sonneratia alba stand was 6,20, Rhizophora sp was 6,03 and shifting was 6, 10, The soil color on Sonneratia alba stand was dark grey, Rhizophora sp was dark grey and shifting between Sonneratia alba, and Rhizophora sp was very dark grey, the soil texture of the three samples under taken stands was dominated by clay sand, water salinity on Sonneratia alba stand was 2,9 ppt, Rhizophora sp 3,0 ppt, and shifting  between Sonneratia alba, and Rhizophora sp was 2,8 ppt, and mud depth that directly measured on location showed that from the tree stands reached 78 cm height.Keywords: Physical condition, Soil, and Magrove Forest.

Abstract

Mangrove forest is one of unique forest ecosystem form which brings land and sea territory. Mangrove forest has specific characters in tidal areas, coastal marine zone and Small Islands in Bolobungkang village, Luwuk-Banggai of Central Sulawesi Province. The study aimed to edetermine Mangrove forest characteristic. Plot is used as the methodology which is placed into a  strip with size 10m x 10m for tree level, 5m x 5m for stake level and 2m x 2m for seedling level which set into 20 strip plots along 2 strips. The sampling used is soil sampling which is conducted in aqueous (forward) and in near land area (back). The characteristics of Mangrove forest habitat in Bolobungkang village are loam, sandy loam and dusty loam. The PH ranges 3. 9 – 3. 0 and salinity ranges 2, 73 – 2, 69 per mile. The highest INP for the tree and the stake level is Rhizophora mucronatawith with the value of 116, 86 % and 125, 22 % while the highest of SDR is Rhizophora apiculata with a value of 93, 94 %. Abstract

Rattan is a nontimber forest products that can contribute to society in improving household income. Rattan is a climbing plant in the family of Palmae. Rattan grows wild in the forest, and there is also planted by the community. Forest in Indonesia has a high diversity of rattan species, which are about 312 species of rattan growing in the forests of Indonesia. Of the total 13 genera of rattan in the world, 8 genera of which grow in Indonesia. The aim of research to determine the diversity of rattan species in the study site.  This research was conducted for three months, from November 2015 - January 2016 in Lore Lindu National Park area.  This research applied a survey method through using a subjective observation plot (purposive sampling).  This research put on 3 line transects with a length of 1.000 m. the distance between the transect was 100 m. Observation was carried out following the transect line and in the area which found rattan made a plot size of 20 m X 20 m. The number of plots used in this study was 20 plots. The result showed that the number of rattan species in the study site were 7 species of rattan consisting of 57 groves and 214 individuals consisting of 48 individuals of rotan batang (Calamus zollingeri Becc) , 41 individuals of  rotan buku dalam (Calamus shymphysipus Becc), 31 individuals of rotan tumanu (Calamus ornatus var.celebicus Becc), 21 individuals of rotan ibo (Calamus ahliduri Becc), 22 individuals of rotan karuku (Calamus Macrosphaerica Becc), 25 individuals of rotan pai (Calamus coordersianus Becc), and 16 individuals of rotan botol (Daemonorop robusta Warb).

Abstract

Forests are generally known as a resource that is very unique because of the processes of interaction between various constituent components. Every form of forest ecosystem has different capabilities in terms of meeting their needs for environmental conditions including climate. Indonesia is a country that holds the wealth of the largest orchid germplasm in the world. Indonesia has around 6,000 species out of 26,000 world orchid plants. The purpose of the study was to determine the species diversity of orchids in the captivity of Ampera and Karunia Villages, which are found in 6 Sigi Public High Schools and one of the private captives owned by Mr. Sardin. Data collection techniques are carried out in two ways, namely primary data and secondary data. To find out the types of natural orchids found in the captivity of Ampera Village and Karunia Village, Palolo District, Sigi District, descriptive data analysis was used. While to find out the diversity of natural orchid species analyzed using the Shannon-Wienner (H ) Diversity formula. The results showed that the diversity of natural orchid species in the middle of Ampera and Karunia villages was high, with a species diversity index (H ) of 3.25.Keywords: analysis diversity index
