Abstract

ABSTRACT – This research aims to find out the effect of the implementation of Contextual Teaching and Learning approach based media towards students cognitive achievement of the class X at SMA Negeri 1 Kebakkramat. This study is a quasi-experimental studies which use Randomized Control Only Design. The independent variable in this research is the application of Contextual Teaching and Learning approach based media whereas the dependent variable is students cognitive achievement. Research population is all of students on class X at SMA Negeri 1 Kebakkramat in academic year 2010/2011. The samples are taken towards class X-2 as control group and class X-3 as treatment group. The sample is taken by using Cluster Random Sampling method. The data are collected by using test. The obtained data are analyzed by using t-test. The result shows that implementation Contextual Teaching and Learning approach based media has taken good effect toward students cognitive achievement in X at SMA Negeri 1 Kebakkramat. Abstract

ABSTRACT – This research aims to find out the effectof the implementation of  learning media video on the  discussion subject fungi towards cognitive performance of the Xth grade students SMA Negeri 2 Karanganyar. This study is a quasi-experimental studies which use  Posstest Only Control Group Design. The independent variable in this research is the application of learning media videowhereas the dependent variable is students cognitive performance. The population of the study is the entire class X at SMA Negeri 2 Karanganyaracademic year 2011/2012.The samplesare taken towards control and treatment group. The sample is taken by using  Cluster Random Sampling method. The data collecting technique of implementation of the research result towards the learning process of biology used documentation and test. The test of the hypothesis for  the implementation of the research result towards the learning process of biology used T test. Abstract

ABSTRACT – This research is aimed to know relationship between: 1)  IQ (Intelligence Quotient) and cognitive learning achievement  of biology of  first  student’s grade of SMA Negeri 7 Surakarta in academic year of 2011/2012,  2) EQ  (Emotional Quotient) and cognitive learning achievement  of biology of  first  student’s grade of SMA Negeri 7 Surakarta in academic year of 2011/2012, 3)  IQ  (Intelligence Quotient),  EQ  (Emotional Quotient), and  cognitive learning achievement  of biology of  first  student’s grade of SMA Negeri 7 Surakarta in academic year of 2011/2012. This was a correlational research. The population were all of the students first grade of SMA Negeri 7 Surakarta in academic year of 2011/2012.  The sample was taken among 74 samples of student using  simple random  sampling technique.  Documentation technique was used to uncover student’s cognitive learning achievement, while  IQ (Intelligence Quotient) dan EQ  (Emotional Quotient) was measured by using test technique. The obtained data was analysed using linier regression analysis in SPSS 17. The result showed that (1) there is correlation  IQ (Intelligence Quotient) and  cognitive learning achievement  of biology of  first  student’s  grade  of  SMA Negeri 7 Surakarta in academic year of 2011/2012, 2) there is correlation EQ (Emotional Quotient)  and  cognitive learning achievement  of biology of first student’s grade of SMA Negeri 7 Surakarta in academic year of 2011/2012,  3) there is correlation both of  IQ  (Intelligence Quotient)  and  EQ  (Emotional Quotient) with cognitive learning achievement of biology of first student’s grade of SMA Negeri 7 Surakarta in academic year of 2011/2012.  The  three aforementioned correlation are considered as significant and positive valuable.  In addition  the results  showed that  relative  contribution  of IQ toward cognitive learning achievement in Biology  is 48.6%,  relative  contribution  of EQ toward cognitive learning achievement in Biology is 51.4%, Effective contribution of IQ toward cognitive learning achievement in Biology is 7.63%, effective contribution of EQ toward cognitive learning achievement in Biology  is 8.07%, total effective contribution both of IQ and EQ are15.7% Keywords:  IQ (Intelligence Quotient), EQ (Emotional Quotient),cognitive learning achievement in biology, linier regression analysis

Abstract

ABSTRACT – This research is aimed to know the strenght and direction between: 1) metakognitif achievement and cognitive learning achievement of biological lesson of XI IPA student’s grade of SMA Negeri 3 Sukoharjo in academic year of 2011/2012, 2) Verbal intellegences and cognitive learning achievement of biological lesson of XI IPA student’s  grade of SMA Negeri 3 Sukoharjo in academic year of 2011/2012, 3) Interpersonal intelligences and  cognitive learning achievement of biological lesson of XI IPA student’s grade of SMA Negeri 3 Sukoharjo in academic year of 2011/2012. It is a kuntitatif correlational research. The population was taken all of students XI IPA grade of SMA Negeri 3 Sukoharjo in academic year of 2011/2012. The sample was taken using simple random sampling technique. Test technique was used to uncover student’s verbal  intellegences, documentation  technique was used  to uncover student’s cognitive learning achievement, while metakognition achievement and interpersonal intellegences was measured by using questionnaire. The obtained data was analysed using multiple linier regression analysis with SPSS 16. The result showed that (1) there is corellation between metakognition achievement and cognitive learning achievement of biological lesson of XI IPA student’s grade of SMA Negeri 3 Sukoharjo  in academic year of 2011/2012, with  the  regression coefficient is  0,238, the  relative  contribution  is 42,4% and the  effective contribution is 19,6%,  2) there is corellation between verbal intellegences and cognitive learning achievement of biological lesson of XI  IPA student’s grade of SMA Negeri 3 Sukoharjo in academic year of 2011/2012, with the  regression coefficient is 0,154, the relative  contribution  is 32% and the  effective  contribution is  14,8%,  3) there is corellation between interpersonal intellegences with cognitive learning achievement  of biological  lesson of XI IPA student’s grade of SMA Negeri 3 Sukoharjo in academic year of 2011/2012, with the  regression coefficient is 0,175, the relative contribution is 25,6% and the effective contribution is 11,8%. The three aforementioned corellation are considered as significant and positive valuable. They have 46,2% contribution to learning achievement of biological lesson. Each of independent variable that is metakognitif achievement, verbal intellegences and interpersonal intellegences has contribution to dependent variable, that is learning achievement of biological lesson. Student achievement at biological lesson as much as 53,8% is affected by other factor. Abstract

ABSTRACT – The  aims of the research were  to find out  the correlation  between: 1) memory ability with cognitive learning achievement of biology of student of SMA Negeri 2 Madiun in academic year of 2011/2012, 2) learning motivation of biology with cognitive learning achievement  of biology  of student  of SMA Negeri  2 Madiun in academic year of 2011/2012,3) memory ability and learning motivation of biology with  cognitive learning achievement  of student  of SMA Negeri  2 Madiun in academic year of 2011/2012. This  is  a correlational research.  The population  taken  were all of the students of SMA Negeri  2 Madiun  in academic year of 2011/2012. The sample was taken among  676  samples of student using  stratified  random sampling technique.  Documentation technique was used to uncover student’s  cognitive learning achievement  and memory ability was measured by using testtechnique. While learning motivation of biology was measured by using questionnaire technique.  The obtained data was analysed using linier regression analysis in SPSS 16. The results  showed that (1)  there was a  positive  correlation between memory ability with cognitive learning achievement of biology ofstudentof SMA Negeri  2 Madiun  in academic year of 2011/2012, 2)  there was a  positive correlation between  learning motivation of biology  with  cognitive learning achievement  of biology ofstudentof SMA Negeri  2 Madiun  in academic year of 2011/2012,  3)  there was a  positive  correlation between  memory ability  and learning motivation of biology with  cognitive learning achievement  of biology of student of SMA Negeri  2 Madiun  in academic year of 2011/2012.  Each of independent  variable, that is  memory ability  and  learning motivation of biology has contribution to dependent variable, that is  cognitive  learning achievement of biology. This was a correlational quantitive research. The population were all of the students in X grade of SMA Negeri 7 Surakarta in academic year of 2011/2012. The sample was taken among 74 samples of student using  simple random sampling  technique. The data was collected by  test, documentation, and questionnaire. Test was used to knowing  student’s  emotional quotient  (EQ), documentation was used to getting student’s cognitive learning achievement, and learning readiness was measured by using questionnaire. Analyze uses correlation regression analysis with SPSS 17. Abstract

ABSTRACT – The  purposes of this research were to know: 1) the influence of Everyone  is a Teacher Here to the mastery of biology result 2) the influence of student’s learning interest to the mastery of biology result; 3) the interaction between learning model and learning interest to the mastery of biology result ; and 4) the influence of better learning model to the mastery of biology result This research was quasi experiment research using Randomized Control Only design. Learning model and learning interest were independent variables and mastery of biology concept was the dependent variable. The population of this research was all of  X grade of SMA Negeri 1 Sukoharjo. The samples of this research were the students of class XI IPA 2 as the control class and students of class XI IPA 6 as the experimental class.  The sample of this research was established by cluster random sampling. The data about the result of study biology collected by use test and observation. Learning interest meansured by using questionnaires. The analisis of this research was anava two away in different cell and the advance test used Bonfferoni test. . The conclusion of this research were: 1) Problem Based Instruction had significant influence to the mastery of biology result kognitif domain on XI IPA grade of SMA Negeri 1 Sukoharjo; 2) Learning interest hadn’t significant influence to the mastery of biology result kognitif domain on XI IPA grade of SMA Negeri 1 Sukoharjo; and 3) There wasn’t interaction between learning model and learning interest to the mastery of biology result kognitif domain on XI IPA grade of SMA Negeri 1 Sukoharjo Keywords : the mastery of biology resultt, Everyone is a Teacher Here and learning interest

ABSTRACT – The  purpose of this research is to ascertain the influence of Problem Based Instruction with audio visualmediatoward biology learning achievement of 10th grade  students at SMA Negeri 1 Ngemplak in academic year 2011/2012. The research was quasi experiment research using quantitative approach. The  research was designed using posttest only control design. Experimental group applied  Problem Based Instruction with audio visualmedia. Control group applied discussion,  classical course and question-answer method. The populations of this research were all of  10th degree students at SMA Negeri 1 Ngemplak in academic year 2011/2012.  The samples  of this research were the students of 10th 3as experiment group and 10th 6as control group.  The sample of this research was established by cluster random sampling. The data was  collected using questionnaire, multiple choice test,essay test, observation form, and  document. The hypotheses analyzed by t-test. The research concluded that application of Problem Based Instruction with audio  visualmediahad significant effect toward biology learning achievement in cognitive,  affective, and psychomotor of 10th grade students at SMA Negeri 1 Ngemplak in academic  year 2011/2012. Abstract

ABSTRACT – The purpose of this research is to ascertain the influence of pollution in Pepe Surakarta river research module implementation as biology learning resource in environmental pollution subject material toward learning achievement. The research is belonged to quasi experiment with posttest only control design. The independent variable in this research is a module as biology learning resource and dependent variable is learning achievement. The populations of this research were all of 7th degree students at SMP Al Irsyad Surakarta in academic years of 2011/2012.  The samples of this research were the students of 7thA as experiment group and 7thC as control group. The sample of this research was established by cluster random sampling. The data was collected using questionnaire, essay test, observation form, and document. The hypotheses analyzed by t-test. The result of  t-test had been conducted the significant value (α) < 0,05 in all domains of learning out comes, So it can be concluded that implementation of research module as biology learning resource had significant effect toward learning achievement of 7th degree students at SMP Al Irsyad Surakarta in cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains.
