Abstract

Activities of tourist visit provide opportunities for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to stand, making the city of Bogor as one of the city that has an increasing number of SME’s. Failure to exploit the potential of the center to develop its organization and social capital owned SME’s indicate that SME’s still face problems of low quality human resources. SME’s mostly poorly educated human resources with technical expertise, competence, entrepreneurship and management are modest. On the other hand the knowledge inherent in members of an organization need to be updated and transferred to still have a value that is integrated with the vision and mission of the organization. On the basis of need, there is a knowledge management approach known as knowledge management.This study aims to (1) analyze the characteristics of social capital owned SME’s organizations Bogor, (2) analyze the characteristics of knowledge management in Bogor SME’s organization, (3) analyze the contribution and role of social capital on organizational knowledge management implementation, (4) analyze the relationship between social capital variables with the variables of organizational knowledge management practices of SME’s Bogor. This study used structural equation modeling (SEM) analysis.

Abstract

Kampung Vannamei as shrimp cluster is being developed since 2004 by PT CP Prima, tbk Surabaya through Shrimp Culture Health Management transformation technology to several traditional farmers in Gresik, Lamongan, Tuban, and Madura areas. The research objectives aims to identify and mapping of stakeholder, to analyze interaction of stakeholders, to formulate strategy from internal and external environment factors and to set priority on strategy to develop sustainable and competitive shrimp cluster in the Kampung vannamei. Primary data was collected through stakeholders’ discussion forums, questionnaires, and interviews with relevant actors. Observations to the business unit also performed to determine the production and business conditions, particularly in capturing information about the threat and challenges. While the secondary data is used in policy documents national and local area statistics, and relevant literature. Analyses were performed by using the SRI International cluster pyramid, diamond porter’s analysis, SWOT and Matrix TOWS analysis, and analytical hierarchy process. Analyses were performed by the methods discussed in qualitative and descriptive. There are 7 strategies could be implemented to develop sustainable and competitive shrimp cluster. However, it is recommended to implement the strategy base on priority, which the first priority is strategy to improve linkages between businesses in the upstream and downstream industries into multi stakeholders’ platform in shrimp industry.Keywords: Shrimp, Cluster, Competitiveness, Diamond Porter, SWOT Analysis, AHP

Abstract

The objectives of this study were to identify supply chains, analyze the institutions, formulate strategies for competitiveness enhancement, design competitiveness enhancement model, and determine the main strategies in competitiveness enhancement of chili pepper in Garut District. This study used primary data (observations, interviews, and questionnaires) and secondary data (literature study). The data were processed and analyzed by Descriptive Analysis, SWOT Analysis, the House Model, and Pairwise Comparison. The results of this study showed that: 1) there were 6 supply chain structures in chili pepper distribution; 2) the major institutional sectors contributed to competitiveness enhancement of chili pepper including public sector, voluntary sector, and private sector; 3) SWOT Analysis obtained 15 alternative strategies; 4) the House Model as competitiveness enhancement model had 3 pillars consisting of products, human resource, and institutional and marketing; 5) the main strategies in competitiveness enhancement of chili pepper included Increase in the number of productions, Market expansion, and Partnership Strengthening and development. The managerial implications of the study suggest: 1) land expansion and plant arrangement pattern to ensure continuity of production quantities; 2) Optimization of the role of Agribusiness Sub-Terminal as the marketing institution; and 3) Maximization in the government’s role in facilitating farmer groups with associations or corporations.Keywords: institutional, the house model, competitiveness, chili, SWOTABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi rantai pasok, menganalisis kelembagaan, merumuskan strategi peningkatan daya saing, merancang model peningkatan daya saing, dan menentukan strategi utama dalam peningkatan daya saing  komoditas cabai di Kabupaten Garut. Data yang digunakan terdiri dari data primer (observasi, wawancara, dan kuesioner) dan data sekunder (studi literatur). Metode pengolahan dan analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif, analisis SWOT, The House Model dan Pairwise Comparison. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Terdapat enam struktur rantai pasok dalam pendistribusian komoditas cabai; 2) Sektor utama kelembagaan yang berperan dalam peningkatan daya saing komoditas cabai adalah public sector, voluntary sector, dan private sector; 3) Analisis SWOT menghasilkan 15 alternatif strategi; 4) The House Model sebagai model peningkatan daya saing memiliki tiga pilar utama yang berkaitan dengan produk; sumber daya manusia; kelembagaan dan pemasaran;  5) Strategi utama dalam peningkatan daya saing komoditas cabai adalah peningkatan jumlah produksi; perluasan pangsa pasar; dan penguatan dan pengembangan kemitraan. Implikasi manajerial hasil penelitian merekomendasikan: 1) perluasan lahan dan pengaturan pola tanam untuk menjamin kontinuitas jumlah produksi; 2) mengoptimalkan peran subterminal agribisnis sebagai lembaga pemasaran; 3) memaksimalkan peran pemerintah dalam memfasilitasi kelompok tani dengan asosiasi atau perusahaan.Kata kunci: kelembagaan, the house model, daya saing, cabai, SWOT

Abstract

Asean Economic Community (AEC) has given a new challenges to Indonesia to maintain its products, include horticulture commodities, such as potato. One of potatoes production centers in Indonesia is Karo Regency, North Sumatera. The purpose of this study are to identify supply chain’s structures and internal-external factors to formulate strategies for increasing potato competitiveness in Karo Regency. Data analyzed by Descriptive analysis, TOWS, and Pairwise Comparison. The results of this study is there are four priority strategies for Karo Regency in increasing it competitiveness, such as: 1) Training farmers to improve farmer’s ability, independence, and institutional welfare through the establishment of Desa Percontohan; 2) Increasing the plant diseases treatment through the optimalization of agriculture clinic; 3) Improve farmer’s ability to work in collaboration with bussines partner through promotion of agricultural products; and 4) Increasing the development of potatoes’s superior seeds.

Abstract

The increase of import volume and the decrease of export volume of vegetables require the efforts to increase the competitiveness of local vegetable products. Potato is the core of highland vegetable commodities in national and regional areas that potential to be developed. One of the potatoes production centers in Central Java is Banjarnegara Regency. The purpose of this study are to formulate strategy and key performance indicators (KPIs) that will increase the competitiveness of potato in Banjarnegara. Data analyzed by Descriptive analysis, TOWS analysis, and Pairwise Comparison. The results of this study indicate that: the KPIs that become the priorities in increasing the competitiveness of potato in Banjarnegara are; a) The number of farmers who distribute their products in cooperative; b) Percentage increase in the number of certified seed potatoes that meet farmer’s needs; and c) Percentage increase of the local potatoes production to meet the demand of domestic and export markets as well as the related regulations on potatoes business partnership contract system.

Abstract

Abstract: Electricity is a necessity that can not be separated from human’s life. PLN as theelectric service providers in Indonesia are required to improve its performance. The aims ofthis study are (1) analyzing the influence of organizational culture to employee engagement,(2) analyzing the influence of organizational culture and employee engagement to employeeperformance at PT PLN (Persero) Bekasi area. Data processed and analyzed by DescriptiveAnalysis, Structural Equation Modeling Analysis supported by microsoft excel, SPSS 16.0for windows, and SmartPLS 3.0. The results of this study are: (1) Organizational culture hasa significant effect on employee engagement; (2) Organizational culture has a significanteffect on employee performance. Abstract

Kompensasi termasuk salah satu faktor kunci dalam proses pengembangan kualitas SDM UKM. Objek penelitian adalah Momo Milk Barn Bogor. Momo Milk Barn Bogor merupakan usaha kecil dan menengah yang bergerak di bidang kuliner di Kota Bogor. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi sistem kompensasi yang diterapkan, menganalisis faktor-faktor yang menjadi dasar penggajian, dan menganalisis sistem kompensasi yang ideal untuk diterapkan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode point system dan analisis regresi linier sederhana. Berdasarkan pembahasan diperoleh bahwa kondisi sistem kompensasi Momo Milk Barn Bogor kurang ideal. Faktor-faktor yang menjadi dasar penetapan gaji pada Momo Milk Barn Bogor adalah pendidikan formal, pengalaman kerja, fisik, tanggung jawab supervisi, inisiatif, konsekuensi kesalahan, pengaruh hasil kerja dan pemecahan masalah. Hasil penelitian di dapatkan bahwa sistem kompensasi yang ideal adalah sistem kompensasi dengan menggunakan non penggolongan karena untuk menerapkan dana yang dikeluarkan lebih efisien.

Abstract

PT XYZ sebagai salah satu perusahaan asuransi umum harus memiliki kinerja organisasi yang adaptif terhadap perubahan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis jenis budaya organisasi realisasi dan diharapkan oleh PT XYZ dan untuk menganalisis presepsi karyawan terhadap kompetensi manajerial PT XYZ.Analisis data menggunakan Organizational Culture Assessment Instrument, Management Skill Assessment Instrument (MSAI) dan Importance Performance Analysis (IPA). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa PT XYZ didominasi oleh jenis budaya clan dan hierarchy. Sedangkan jenis budaya yang diharapkan di PT XYZ didominasi oleh tipe clan dan adhocracy. Keadaan kompetensi manajerial di PT XYZ berada pada kategori “sedang”, sementara yang diharapkan pada kategori “tinggi”. Jenis budaya organisasi yang perlu ditingkatkan adalah jenis budaya clan dan adhocracy dengan meningkatkan kompetensi manajerial managing team dalam jenis budaya clan dan managing innovation, managing continuous improvement dalam jenis budaya adhocracy.

Abstract

The study aimed to analyze the perceptions of the doctors of Hermina Hospital Bogor on BPJS health service quality and satisfaction level of the national health insurance program and to analyze the effects of service quality on the doctors’ satisfaction. Questionnaires were utilized to obtain the primary data, while literature reviews were conducted to obtain the secondary data. The data were analyzed by using descriptive analysis and multiple regression analysis. The results of this research, in reference to the descriptive analysis of the perceptions of the doctors in Hermina Hospital Bogor on satisfaction and quality service of the National Health Insurance program, indicated that the program is considered unsuitable in its implementation. The results of multiple regression showed that the variables of BPJS service quality have influences on the satisfaction of the doctors of Hermina Hospital Bogor.
