Abstract

Beginning in 2018 Indonesian people are treated to religious songs from Sabyan Gambus group whose vocalist Nissa Sabyan. The songs sung by Nissa Sabyan echoed almost in every layer of the society. One of the media that made it easy for people  to enjoy various songs from several Nissa Sabyan albums is YouTube. This paper was aimed to analyze the YouTube's role of students' religious dimension. The method used in this research is a survey with a qualitative approach. The survey was conducted on 147 students. The results of the study prove that YouTube as an Internet-based audio-visual media is an effective medium for spreading religious nuances. The majority of students feel to be religious by listening to Nissa Sabyan's songs, even though they don't understand the contents of the lyrics. Thus, it can be concluded that YouTube has a significant  role in fostering a religious sense of students.

Abstract

Dengan ditemukannya komputer dan World Wide Web (www) dalam dua dekade terakhir, cara baru dalam  online-communication -yang dikenal sebagai teknologi  Web 2.0, seperti blogs,  micro-blogging,  podcasts,  wikis, situs jaringan sosial, dunia maya (virtual world), video sharing, dan  photo sharing– telah muncul dengan potensi keunikannya masing-masing di dunia komunikasi dan pendidikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat penggunaan situs jejaring sosial, Facebook.com, sebagai alat bantu pendidikan bagi dosen dan mahasiswa di Universitas Pelita Harapan (UPH). Dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif melalui proses wawancara terhadap 10 dosen, peneliti menanyakan beberapa pertanyaan seputar penggunaan Facebook dan apa alas an mereka menggunakan medium tersebut sebagai alat bantu dalam mendukung kegiatan belajar-mengajar. Penelitian ini juga menunjukkan bahwa Facebook ketika digunakan secara rutin, mendorong relasi yang baik antara dosen dan mahasiswa, yang kemudian menghasilkan perilaku positif pada lingkungan belajar-mengajar yang merupakan hasil yang belum pernah diantisipasi. Abstract

This study was designed to create different atmosphere on learning illustration drawing for primary school students. The method was through fairy tales before students begin to draw. This research used quasi-experimental design with nonequivalent control group. The sample was 5th grade primary school students in SDN Sukalilah, reflected the population of all 5th grade primary school students in Pamulihan subdistrict. Analyzed using significant poin at 0.05 or 5%, results showed that learning through fairy tales method contributed significantly to students result of animal and its nature illustration drawing, with determinant percent 45,02%. In addition, using Fairy Methode could increase the Learning Motivation of the students, yet, not significantly. There are positive relations between the Learning Drawing result by Learning Motivation of student for about 0,25%.

Abstract

This paper examines one of the main teachers' competence, ie pedagogical competence of teachers who have been certified educators in Sumedang district. This type of research is a survey research with descriptive-quantitative method. The population was 592 certified teachers in the district of North and South Sumedang, with a sample of 60 teachers. Data collected through questionnaire (Likert scale) on the respondent one (R1) is a certified teacher of 60 people, two respondents (R2) are colleagues who have not been certified 60 people, and three respondents (R3) is the principal of 60 people, so total respondents amounted to 180 people. Processing and data analysis was performed using SPSS 16 through frequency analysis and correlation. The results stated that the average pedagogical competence of teachers at the GOOD category, with the acquisition value of 3.02 (75.48%). However, when seen by the results of the correlation answer, where answer between R1 and R2 are many significant / agree, but the answers are not many significant R3 / contrary, it can be concluded that the average pedagogical abilities certified teacher educators in Sumedang district, is in the category ENOUGH based on answers from 150 respondents (84.3%), and is in the category GOOD based on answers from 28 respondents (15.7%). Abstract

This paper examines the process of seeding or training of Sundanese Song Cianjuran by artists in Sumedang regency that is conducted by a stakeholder of Sundanese traditional arts. The study was conducted using descriptive analytic methods, and data collection was done through observation and interviews. Results from the study explained that stakeholder participation was vital and influential towards the existence of Sundanese Song Cianjuran, especially in growing cultural awareness and in generating candidates for local traditional artists.How to Cite: Julia. Abstract

The general purpose of this research is to know the difference of creativity improvement of imaginative drawing between students who learn used the synoptic model and students who learn used the conventional model. The researchs design is quasi experiment. The sample in this research is grade III student of SDN I Jemaras Lor as control class and SDN II Jemaras Kidul as experiment class. The research  instruments include basic skills test, students creativity test, observation format, questionnaire, and interview guide. Result of research with significance level of α = 0,05 that have do indicate that synoptic learning model and conventional model can increase student creativity significantly. Based on the U-test, it is known that the synoptic model is not significantly better than the conventional model on improve students creativity. On the learning process, in general case the students give a positive response to study that use the synoptic model, it was seen in the questionnaire that has been collected. The factors that can support synoptic models learning can be seen from the performance of teachers that give optimal learning start from planning, implementation, until the evaluation. In addition, there is a sense of fun and interest of students to learning. Furthermore the inhibiting factor is grouping of the students did not do heterogeneous.

Abstract

Learning proccess without media causing a lack of drawing creativities development of students, so they can’t brings up their creative ideas. That case encourage the researcher to apply animated movies as a learning alternative media to stimulate their creativities. The aim of this research is to test animated movies usage as a learning alternative media. This research included into nonequivalent control group of quasi experimental design. The sample are taken from purposive sampling technique. The researcher got the data by test, observation, interview, and questionnaire. The analysis data which used is Shapiro-Wilk (normality), Levene (homogeneity), and free t sample (average difference test). The research result shows significant differences about student creativities between experiment class and control class. The calculation results using free t sample test, obtained P-value (sig. 2-talled) amounting to 0,00 which is H0 received. So it can be concluded that animated movies usage more effective to improve student creativities in illustrations drawing.

Abstract

This article aims at analyzing a vocal contest of a traditional musical art genre namely Tembang Sunda Cianjuran (Cianjur Sundanese Traditional Song) in West Java, Indonesia. The contest, also known by the term PTSC DAMAS, had been held continuously since 1962 by youth social organization called DAMAS (Daya Mahasiswa Sunda). The study was conducted using qualitative approach. Data was collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted by using an interactive model. The results show that PTSC DAMAS has greatly affected the preservation and development of the Tembang Sunda Cianjuran, not only in the music accompaniment but also vocal aspects. Various parties has been very supportive of PTSC DAMAS, thus the contest can be carried out consistently.

Abstract

Tidak dapat dipungkiri bahwa akulturasi budaya sebagai bagian dari pergaulan dunia yang tanpa batas, tidak hanya berpengaruh pada perkembangan dan popularitas seni-seni etnik, tapi jugaberpengaruh terhadap cara-cara pentransmisian seni itu sendiri. Sebagai salah satu cara untukmengikuti arus globalisasi, tulisan ini mencoba untuk menggagas dan menawarkan salah satu metodepembelajaran pada salah satu seni etnik Indonesia, yakni pembelajaran kacapi indung dalam senitembang Sunda Cianjuran. Metode yang ditawarkan adalah pembelajaran kacapi melalui sistem notasi yang dibuat secara khusus oleh penulis. Pembuatan sistem notasi dilakukan denganmempertimbangkan beberapa aspek berikut. Pertama, visualisasi antara sistem notasi dengansistematika kawat kacapi, kedua, visualisasi antara sistem notasi dengan penggunaan jari, dan ketiga,efisiensi sistem notasi dengan jumlah kawat kacapi. Dengan cara ini, harapannya adalah kacapitembang dapat dipelajari dengan lebih mudah dan lebih diminati oleh banyak kalangan.
