Abstract

In this paper we consider single vendor single buyer integrated inventory model with probabilistic demand and equal delivery lot size. The model contributes to the current literature by relaxing the deterministic demand assumption which has been used for almost all integrated inventory models. The objective is to minimize expected total costs incurred by the vendor and the buyer. We develop effective iterative procedures for finding the optimal solution. Numerical examples are used to illustrate the benefit of integration. A sensitivity analysis is performed to explore the effect of key parameters on delivery lot size, safety factor, production lot size factor and the expected total cost. The results of the numerical examples indicate that our models can achieve a significant amount of savings. Finally, we compare the results of our proposed model with a simulation model. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia: Pada penelitian ini akan dikembangkan model gabungan pemasok-pembeli dengan permintaan probabilistik dan ukuran pengiriman sama. Pada model setiap lot pemesanan akan dikirim dalam beberapa lot pengiriman dan pemasok akan memproduksi barang dalam ukuran batch produksi yang merupakan kelipatan integer dari lot pengiriman. Dikembangkan pula suatu algoritma untuk menyelesaikan model matematis yang telah dibuat. Selain itu, pengaruh perubahan parameter terhadap perilaku model diteliti dengan analisis sensitivitas terhadap beberapa parameter kunci, seperti ukuran lot, stok pengaman dan total biaya persediaan. Pada penelitian ini juga dibuat model simulasi untuk melihat performansi model matematis pada kondisi nyata. Kata kunci: model gabungan, permintaan probabilistik, lot pengiriman, supply chain

Abstract

PT. Prima Sejati Sejahtera as one of the subsidiaries of PT. Pan Brothers Tbk. which is engaged in garment production. The company's mechanical department in managing spare part inventory is still using intuitive method, where the number of spare part order for certain periods based on spare part demands data onto the previous period. The company’s mechanical department often stock out of spare parts. Spare part’s inventory management becomes a complex issue because of the need for fast response to handle the downtime of machines, and the risk of obsolescence of spare parts. So in this research will discuss about spare part inventory control which is started with spare parts grouping by using ABC analysis method to determine the appropriate inventory control method for each group. There are 23 spare parts which included in group A. The forecast of spare part’s demands to use Croston, Syntetos-Boylan Approximation (SBA) and Single Exponential Smoothing (SES). Comparison of each forecasting method will be determined by the value of forecasting errors (MAD). It is known that there are 12 spare parts with Croston method in the best forecasting method, 6 spare parts in Syntetos-Boylan Approximation (SBA) method and 5 spare parts with Single Exponential Smoothing (SES) method. Based on the best forecasting result, it will be calculated the value of safety stock (SS), reorder point (ROP) and the optimal number of ordering (Q) using Continuous Review method for each spare part.

Abstract

Pada penelitian ini dilakukan perancangan kemasan untuk produk teh seduh hitam. Objek penelitian merupakan produk hasil olahan Usaha Kecil Menengah (UKM) yang berada di Kecamatan Ngargoyoso, Karanganyar Jawa Tengah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh rancangan kemasan yang didasarkan pada kebutuhan dan keinginan konsumen, terhadap kemasan teh seduh. Untuk itu, digunakan metode Quality Function Deployment (QFD), yang merupakan metode perancangan produk berbasis keinginan konsumen. Dalam penelitian ini, QFD yang digunakan hanya sampai matriks pertama (matriks perencanaan), atau sering disebut House of Quality (HOQ). Dari hasil penyusunan HOQ, diperoleh tingkat kepentingan untuk masing-masing karakteristik teknis yang telah dibuat, dimana selanjutnya, karakteristik-karakteristik teknis dengan nilai kepentingan yang tinggi dapat dijadikan atribut prioritas dalam melakukan perancangan kemasan untuk produk teh seduh hitam. Abstract

Peta evakuasi sangat penting bagi suatu rumah sakit. Hal ini dikarenakan untuk mengurangi resiko saat terjadi bencana (gempa bumi) dan sebagai syarat akreditasi untuk memperoleh akreditasi suatu rumah sakit. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyusun peta evakuasi dan penandaannya. Dengan perancangan peta evakuasi, diharapkan dapat terpenuhi salah satu syarat akreditasi rumah sakit dan memudahkan penghuni bangunan rumah sakit dalam mencari jalan tercepat saat keadaan darurat atau keadaan bahaya. Terdapat dua tahap dalam perancangan peta evakuasi. Tahap yang pertama ialah perancangan alur evakuasi dengan menggunakan Algoritma Floyd-Warshall untuk menentukan lintasan terpendek. Tahap kedua ialah penandaan peta evakuasi. Tahap pertama terdiri dari enam tahap, yaitu pembuatan block plan Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Kabupaten Kebumen, penentuan letak titik berkumpul (assembly point), penentuan node, pemilahan titik berkumpul (assembly point) untuk masing-masing ruang, penentuan jarak masing-masing ruang ke titik berkumpul (assembly point), dan penentuan alternatif evakuasi. Tahap kedua merupakan perancangan penandaan peta evakuasi. Dalam hal ini, warna dan bahan penandaan peta evakuasi sesuai dengan Rumah Sakit Islam Surakarta. Penandaan peta evakuasi dibuat dari bahan acrlylic dan dipasang sepanjang jalur evakuasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 40 ruang yang dapat langsung ditentukan lintasan evakuasinya dan 35 ruang ditentukan lintasan terpendeknya dengan menggunakan Algoritma Floyd-Warshall. Dari ketiga puluh lima ruang itu, 16 ruang menuju titik berkumpul sebelah utara, 5 ruang menuju titik berkumpul sebelah barat, dan 14 ruang menuju titik berkumpul sebelah selatan. Sehingga titik berkumpul sebelah utara menampung 39 ruang, titik berkumpul sebelah barat menampung 19 ruang, dan titik berkumpul sebelah selatan 17 ruang serta peta evakuasi telah disusun dan akan dipasang di tempat-tempat strategis sepanjang jalur evakuasi.

Abstract

Performance measurement is important to business organization both manufacturing or service industry, and education. Performance measurement considers all activities and satisfies stakeholder’s requirements. The aim of his research is to design performance measurement in a Department in X University using Integrated Performance Measurement Systems (IPMS) method. IPMS is a performance measurement method that considers stakeholder’s requirements and measure performance integrally. IPMS method generates Key Performance Indicators (KPI) from stakeholder’s requirements by four steps, that are; identification of stakeholder’s requirements, development of external monitor, objectives establishment, and identification of KPs. Each of KPI has difference significance to performancemeasurement system. The significance of each KPI is counted by Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). This research results 7 performance measurement perspectives that consist of 15 objectives. The objectives can be measured by 57 KPI (consist of 43 main KPI and 24 sub KPI)

Abstract

Harapan Jaya Autobus company has experienced difficulties in the process of ticket booking.Many customers have complained that the process of ticket booking gives less satisfaction to the customer. Therefore, website design and creation is needed to enhance customer service. There are three stages to design and build webiste of PO. Harapan Jaya to support marketing activities. The first stage is analyzing the curent system to determine the needs of the proposed system. The second stage is designing a data flow diagram based on system requirements analysis. The last step is designing a system that consists of database design, business applications system design, and user interface design. Database design consists of conceptual, physical, and logical database design. Business application system design consists of designing the system architecture, network architecture, and security system, while the design of the user interface is divided into the user interface for the back end and front end. The website is tested using black-box testing. The results of the testing process is the website works well and the user interface is user friendly

Abstract

In this paper we consider a single buyer-single manufacturer- single supplier supply chain problem where there are multiple deliveries for one buyer’s order and the manufacturer produces in a multiple integer of deliveries quantity. We also consider a lot size of raw material procurement which can be split from production batch. From numerical example we found that a value of material conversion factor and delivery frequency influences the total inventory cost . A high value of material conversion factor would make the buyer’s total inventory cost increase and the manufacturer’s total inventory costdecrease. High frequency of delivery would make the buyer’s total inventory cost decrease and the manufacture’s total inventory cost increase.

Abstract

Vacuum packaging appliance serves to package food products by removing all the air that is in the packaging. The purpose of the vacuum packaging is to make the product to be more durable and long lasting. It can also increase the value of merchantability because the product that is processed oyster mushroom is packaged more cleanly. Nowadays, the mushroom seller usually use an automatic type. Based on the seller experience, the device is difficult to operate. Since the parameters of vacuum pump and temperature sealer must be set before using it, moreover the price of equipment is too expensive. Therefore the required design of the vacuum packaging appliance in accordance with the requirement of the seller. Quality Function Deployment (QFD) is employed to design the vacuum packaging equipment. Then an assessment an assessment of the user's voice level of interest, expectation and satisfaction are conducted subsequently. Furthermore, HOQ is developed by determining technical characteristics, weight and what and how relationship. The main priority in the design seen from the order of the highest weight of the technical characteristics. The results from QFD produce 6 attributes (voice of customer) from the complaints of respondents and 10 technical characteristics. Highest weight of the technical characteristics is "total dimensions scaled and customized tool that is packaged with the product" with a weight of 43.20 or 21.16%. Hence, that technical characteristic must be taken into consideration in designing the vacuum packaging equipment

Abstract

In this paper we developed performance measurement system in UTDC PMI Surakarta. We used Integrated Performance Measurement System (IPMS) methodology which based on stackeholder’s requirement, to design the measurement system. From the design process, it can be identified 8 stakeholders, and based on stakeholder’s requirements, it can be obtained 27 requirements and 7 objectives. Furthermore, we developed 19 key performance indicators (KPIs) which can be classified into 6 aspects, including donor, human resources, blood preparation, output, administration, and control and evaluation.Finally, we conducted Analythic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method to weight the all aspects and KPIs. It was found that human resources(0.435) was most importance aspect and employee’s performance achievement (0.24) became most importance indicator among them.

Abstract

There are three aspects of competitive strategy that can be applied by manufacturing companies: quality, cost, anddelivery time. Actually, it is hard to produce high quality poducts in low manufacturing cost and on time delivery. Hence, a process selection is needed to integrated the three aspects above in order to meet a customer requirement. This research develops a process selection model to minimize manufacturing cost, quality loss cost, and lateness cost considering component spesification, delivery time, production capacity, and customer order. A numerical example is given to show the application of the model using an assembly product that consists of three components. Three machines are used to produce all of the components. Each machine has different characteristic in manufacturing cost, tolerances, and processing time. Total cost that used to produce 100 unit assembly product is Rp5.390.970,00.
