Abstract

Suatu penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian glukosa ke dalam media pemeliharaan terhadap kelangsungan hidup laIVa ikan betutu, Oxyeleotris mamlOrata, Blkr telah dilaksanakan di laboratorium. LaIVa ikan betutu yang baru menetas (0 hari) dipelihara pada stoples beIVolume 1 liter dengan penambahan glukosa tertentu, sehingga tekanan osmotik berkisar antara ° -476,0 mOsm/kg H20. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media pemeliharaan laNa terbaik adalah 91,0 mOsm/kg H20 dan memberikan derajat kelangsungan hidup laIVa tertinggi sebesar : 94,44 % ,82,22 % dan 27,44 % pada jam ke 40,72 dan 120.Kata-kata kunci : glukosa, larva, derajat kelangsungan hidup

Abstract

Pengelolaan perikanan tawar di kabupaten Pangkep belum dilakukan secara optimal. Usaha budidaya ikan tawar masih dalam skala rumah tangga, bahkan sebagian rumah tangga hanya menjadikannya sebagai usaha sampingan untuk menambah pendapatan. Permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh Kelompok mitra (kelompok Alau Lempong dan kelompok Pasar lama) adalah 1) permasalahan dalam aspek produksi dan 2) aspek manajemen usaha. Permasalahan aspek produksi menghasilkan produksi budidaya ikan nila rendah dan secara linier berpengaruh terhadap harga jual. Sedangkan penerapan manajemen usaha yang kurang baik akan menghambat sistem produksi dan mengurangi keuntungan kelompok tani ikan. Tujuan dari program Ibm kelompok budidaya ikan nila di Kabupaten Pangkep adalah memberikan penyuluhan dan pendampingan kepada kelompok mitra untuk meningkatkan produksi dan meningkatkan kesejahteraan anggota kelompok. Metode pendekatan yang digunakan dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan prioritas mitra yang telah disepakati bersama dalam kurun waktu realisasi program IbM adalah menerapkan sistem latihan serta menggunakan metode penyuluhan dan pendampingan. Dua kelompok mitra yang terpilih yaitu Kelompok Pasar Lama dan Kelompok Alau Lempong. Penentuan kelompok berdasarkan purposive sampling dengan alasan bahwa kedua kelompok tersebut memiliki produk dan potensi pasar yang baik.

Abstract

The capture of undersized target fish and by-catch fish as a result of the use of unselective fishing gear hasbecome a major problem nowadays. The reality that Trammel Net selectivity still unsustainable making thegears unfriendly for the environment. This research is aimed to identify the size and the species of shrimpscaught by trammel net and to evaluate the mesh size selectifity level of this gear. The results showed that therewere about 63% of White Shrimp (Penaeus merguiensis) and 37% Tiger Shrimp (Penaeus monodon) from thetotal penaeid captured by trammel net with monofilament mesh size of 1.50 inches. Furthermore, the amount ofWhite Shrimps and Tiger Shrimps captured by trammel net with net monofilament mesh size 1.75 inches were60% and 40%, respectively, of the total shrimps captured. Meanwhile, trammel net with mesh size 2.00 inchescaught about 58% of White Shrimps and 42% of Windu Shrimps of the total captured shrimps. Based on thesedata, the selectivity curve reached the peak at R = 4.46 and the selection range was 50% with relative efficiencywas in the range of 2.70 to 6.14. The selectivity curve was ramp or asymmetrical, in which the left side of thecurve is much shallower than the right side. Abstract

Information about potency and utilization of Skipjack Tuna in Bone Bay region will support regionalmanagement of fisheries resources in Indonesiabased on characteristic and carrying capacity of marine waters,espcially in Bay region. The aims of this study were to estimate potency of Skipjack Tuna and the level of theirutilization in Bone Bay region and to estimate the primary productivity produced by euphotic zone (Pp).Analysis methods used in this study were catch per unit effort(CPUE) and maximum sustainable yield (MSY),vertically generalized production model (VGPM) which required data of photosynthetically active radiationanddepth of euphotic zone, fish production model by considering energy transfer efficiency among trophic level.This study was conducted for eight months in Luwu Regency.The result of the study showed that the utilization ofthe Skipjack Tunawas bigger than the MSY,.The Ppeu was in the range of 483.3143to 1306.027 mgC m. Abstract

Fisheries management ideally could prevent the occurrence of overfishing which nowadays has occurred globally, including in Indonesia.  On the basis of fishing status and biology of skipjack tuna, as well as analysis of relationship between sea surface temperature and chlorophyll-a with skipjack tuna catches,  the fisheries management should implement zoning regulation. The north zone was suggested to be prioritized as a conservation area for protecting skipjack juvenile (< 46,5 cm FL) from fishing activity.  The middle and south zones were suggested to be fishing area where sustainable fishing is applied.  The Application of these regulations has an implication on total allowable catches from Bone Bay.  The number has lower value than the previous MSY and F-opt values.  Number of skipjack tuna which was allowed to be caught in the north zone is 573 ton yr -1 , in the middle zone was 5,820 ton yr and in the south zone was 2,210 ton yr -1 .   Overall, the value of allowed number of skipjack tuna catches in Bone Bay was estimated to be 8,600 ton yr effort per year is equivalent with 5,376 operational trips from pole and line boats.   -1 with fishing-1

Abstract

Bone Strait and Flores sea are Indonesian waters which has a high fish resources, especially Katsuwonuspelagicus. Those waters are also affected by climate change. Aims of study were to examined distribution map ofKatsuwonus fish based on environemental condition at Bone Strait and Flores Sea. Study was conducted for fourmonths (May – August 2015). Environment parameters (Sea level temperature, Chl a, salnity and pH) wasmeasured in situ at fishing area and fish weight data was measured through measuring fish that caught from poleand line fishermen. Results showed that Katsuwonus from Bone Strait (1 – 2 kg and 3.5 – 5 kg) tended to distributeat temperature, Chl a, salinity and pH account for 29.3oC – 30oC, 0.8 – 1.5 mg/m3 and 28 – 30 o/oo, 7.95 – 8.37respectively. meanwhile fish with 2 – 2.5 kg was distributed at 30oC – 30.3oC, 0.6 – 0.7 mg/m3, 28 – 29 o/oo and8.32 – 8.5 for temperature, Chl a, salinity and pH, respectively. At Flores Sea, Katsuwonus with 1.2 – 1.5 kgtended to distribut at 29.5oC – 30oC, 0.12 – 0.16 mg/m3, 28 – 30 o/oo and 7.95 – 8.57 for temperature, chl a, salinityand pH, respectively. Fish with weight 1.5 – 2.2 kg was spread at 28.5oC – 29oC for temperature, 0.1 – 0.13mg/m3 chl a, 28 – 30o/oo for salinity and 8.38 – 8.5 for pH.Keywords : Distribution map, Katsuwonus fish, environmental factor, Bone Strait and Flores Sea.

Abstract

Squid attractor in the watershas a role as an artificial reef, as a squid collector, and as a squidhabitat to lay their eggs. It is therefore, the settlement of the squid attractor in a waters region willcreate a unique underwater view, which are a layer of squid eggs bed. Additonally, the squidattractor can also to be a nursery habitat and at the endit can be developed to be a potencial fishingground.The problems are facing by partner groups (group Nelayan Mandiri and group NelayanSejahtera Bersama) are: 1) problems in production and 2) problems in business management. Forproducion problems they result in low production and influence the selling price linearly.Whereas, the poor business management will hamperthe production system and will reduce theprofit of fishermen group.The purpose of the program of the IbM kelompok nelayan cumi-cumi diKota Makassaris to provide counseling and demo to the partner groups in order to improve theirproductionand to increase their welfare. The approach methods applied in solving the agreedpriority problems of the partners duringthe realization of the program IbM program is to implemendemonstration system as well as counseling method. There are two selected partner groups,namelyNelayan MandiriGroup and Nelayan Sejahtera BersamaGroup.The group selection wasbased on purposive sampling by the facts that both groups have potential good product and market.From the 5 trips trial on the squid attractor, it was found the total catch of squid was in the range of10,8 – 11,2 kg on average.

Abstract

The Bone Bay is part of Fisheries Management Zone WPPI 713 that covers Makassar strait, Flores sea and Bali sea. To such vast marinearea, fisheries management can be started from smaller region, e.g. embayment waters. Biological characteristics of skipjack tuna (Katsuwonuspelamis) are some of important information for developing fisheries management in the area. This research was aimed to determine length-weight relationship, size composititon, growth pattern and biologically feasible size of the fish. Data were obtained from fish caught byfisherman from Januari to December 2007. The bay was divided into three study areas, i.e. Northern, Centre and Southern Zones. The bcoefficients for length-weight relationship in the three zones were equal 3 [not significant]. The average fork-length (FL) in each zoneshowed similar trends: increased from January to June, then stabilized until December. Using von Bertalanffy’s growth model, the maximumFL (L ∞ of 759.75 mm is estimated for fish at age of 84 months. The length at first maturity of the fish is 465 mm (FL).
