Abstract

This research was conducted in Tanjung Penyembal Sungai Sembilan Kota Dumai in February-March 2016. The purposes of this study were (1) To identify the types of new jobs that are run by fishermen, (2) To analyze the factors that cause changes community work fishermen in Tanjung Penyembal, (3) to compare the working time of fishermen with new work undertaken by the fishing and compare household income of fishermen with household society has changed the work of fishermen, (4) to identify the impact of changes in employment which is carried out by fishermen. This study used survey method with qualitative-quantitative approach. The method to determine the respondents in this study is a census method. The results showed that (1) the new types of work fishermen are farmers, traders, farm labor, factory labor, and breeders. (2) The internal factors that cause changes in the work that is catch, income, age, knowledge and skills, and equipment fisherman. While external factors, namely the environmental conditions , government attention, innovation in other livelihood and employment risk. (3) Based on the outpouring of working hours, fishing is a job that has outpouring second longest working hours after the merchants. Meanwhile, based on revenue, the fishing was ranked fourth after traders, farmers, and ranchers. (4) The Positive Impact of occupation?s changes in fishing communities that Increased welfare of the community; Widespread community interaction region; The emergence of community motivation to improve education. While the negative impact is the reduced production of fresh fish in Tanjung Penyembal.

Abstract

Character education is a positive offer in the eradication of moral crises which particularly emerged in our students.  Therefore, the internalization of values of character education in the educational institution is a must.  As an Islamic education institution in Indonesia, the existence of Boarding school is considered to be able to develop values of character education which may be done through formal or non-formal curriculum.  This is so because since its early existence, Boarding school has delineated its distinctive feature which is different from the other common types of education.  Here, the implementation of character values have been integrated (within large portion) in the religious subjects.Copyright © 2013 by Al-Talim All right reservedDOI: 10.15548/jt.v20i3.41

Abstract

 Reconstruction or the strive of rebuilding and developing human resources should not only focused on the improvement of physical skill, but also non-physic sectors like values system, religious norms, and moral values. One of the causes of multidimensional crisis faced by Indonesian people is stemming from their own mistakes in which they give more emphasis on physical development than non-physic. It has to be considered a valuable lesson for society, especially for education organizers. Abstract

Pendidikan karakter dapat dimaknai sebagai proses penanaman nilai-nilai esensial pada diri anak melalui serangkaian kegiatan pembelajaran dan pendampingan sehingga para siswa sebagai individu mampu memahami, mengalami, dan mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai yang menjadi core values dalam pendidikan yang dijalaninya kedalam kepribadiannya. Dengan menempatkan pendidikan karakter dalam kerangka dinamika dan dialektika proses pembentukan individu, para insan pendidik diharapkan semakin dapat menyadari pentingnya pendidikan karakter sebagai sarana pembentuk pedoman perilaku, pembentukan akhlak, dan pengayaan nilai individu dengan cara menyediakan ruang bagi figur keteladanan dan menciptakan sebuah lingkungan yang kondusif bagi proses pertumbuhan, berupa kenyamanan dan keamanan yang membantu suasana pengembangan diri satu sama lain dalam keseluruhan dimensinya (teknis, intelektual, psikologis, moral, sosial, estetis, dan religius).

Abstract

Character education, at least in the discourse, still a potent tool in addressing the arious issues that whack this nation. Not only in Indonesia, even in developed countries such as the United States, Germany, Japan, and, still rely on character education as a mainstay of kick to overcome various moral issues at hand. Character education became very warm issue in the education scene in Indonesia due to the rampant cases of moral that afflicts this nation, ranging from scenes in high State institutions, educational nstitutions until those cases that occur in the streets. The cases allegedly due to the failure of education that has lasted until today. Criticisms of the educational world tends to be mechanical, cognitive aspects than prefer the affective and psychomotor, and a series of spicy criticism more have graced the writings of educational expert. In order to respond to these concerns, the Government now, through the Ministry of education and culture and supported by the Ministry of Religion, raised character education agenda as the national education agenda. Sayang sayang thousand, until now there has been no clear concept of philosophy as well as on the technical implementation. This paper will offer solutions to various problems in philosophy as well as the implementation of character education. The author of the theme of humanist-religious is one of spirits in character education. The reason is that to improve the character of a nation, certainly could not depart from values which do not come from the nation itself. Humanist-religious is a character that belongs to the people of Indonesia so that character education is applied in this country inevitably had to depart from this character. After discussing the philosophy of character education from the perspective of humanist-religious, the author offers some alternatives that are related to the stages of education, learning methods, as well as the position of teachers in character education.

Abstract

Faktor utama yang menentukan keberhasilan proses pembelajaran adalah metode pembelajaran. Penelitian ini membahas tentang penerapan metode peta konsep dengan menggunakan macromedia flash untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif siswa MTs Patra Mandiri Plaju Kelas VII. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah The pretest-posttest non-equivalent group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII sebanyak 4 kelas. Sampel yang digunakan untuk penelitian 2 kelas, pengambilan sampel ini dengan teknik cluster sampling. Uji hipotesis yang digunakan adalah uji t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh hasil belajar kognitif dengan metode peta konsep dengan menggunakan macromedia flash pada materi Gejala Biotik dan Abiotik di MTs Patra Mandiri Plaju. Hasil ini juga menunjukkan bahwa hipotesis Ha diterima dan H0 ditolak. Selain itu, peningkatan hasil belajar kognitif ini dapat dilihat dari rata-rata gain score Kelas Eksperimen sebesar 2,73, lebih besar dari rata-rata gain score Kelas Kontrol, yaitu 2,34. The main factor that determined the succesful of learning process was learning method. This research aimed to find out the effect of applaying of concept map method by using macromedia flash to improve students’ learning outcomes at class VII of Madrasah Tsanawiyah Patra Mandiri Plaju. The research design was the pretest-postest non equivalent group design. The population of this research were all students at class VII of Madrasah Tsanawiyah Patra Mandiri Plaju as many as 4 classes, and for the sample were only two classes using cluster sampling technique. T-test was used to test the hyphotesis of this research. The research result showed that there was a significant improvement on students’ cognitive learning outcomes by using concept map method with macromedia flash on Biotic and Abiotic material. It was showed by Ha acceptance and H0 rejection. Beside, the improvement on students’ cognitive learning outcomes also could be showed by gain score average of Experimental Class at 2.73, it was better than gain score average of Control Class at 2.34.

Abstract

Obedience and compliance of students toward various rules and regulations which are implemented and designed to regulate the behavior of students are called Madrasah discipline, which aims to nurture students behavior in order not to deviate from those rules and regulations. Besides, Madrasah discipline also aims  to encourage students to behave according to norms, rules and regulations. Behavior of students are formed and influenced by various factors, such as environmental factors, family and Madrasah. Effective supervision toward  the implementation of the educational unit of MAN 2 Palembang will be able to ensure that educational programs implemented in Madrasah can achieve the desired goals. In order to support the learning process, the teacher must have and implement specific strategies so that students can learn effectively. Therefore, an optimal schedule can be obtained and accepted by the students. The condition where students feel tired, sleepy, and  hungry, can cause bored feeling, no concentration and can arise frustration. Consequently, the students often show bad tendency. Resistance is then understood as a response to an initiative change, that is a response of the conversations that shape the reality in which individuals are humans. Conditioning the students to learn actively so that the potential itself (cognitive, affective, and conative) can develop maximally. In addition, it will be trained and the competence will be  formed that is students competence to do something positively which will eventually form a life skill as a life stock and livelihood.

Abstract

The purpose of this study first to determine whether or not capable of  natural insecticides to kill Sitophilus oryzae L and to determine effective of  natural insecticides to kill Sitophilus oryzae L. This type of research is an experimental research with quantitative descriptive and The data collection techniques used is the observation and documentation. The data analyzed with ANOVA analysis techniques followed by BJND test. Based on the comparison of the calculated F value contained in the ANOVA analysis is greater than the F table , either at the significant level of 5 % and the 1% significance level (79.57 > 2.67 / 4:43). Thus stated that H1 accepted and rejected H0. The results showed that the first, the natural insecticide able to kill Sitophilus oryzae L and mortality rate highest in Cymbopogon citratus treatment that is equal to 13.2 with the total percentage of mortality of 66%, both effective plant-based insecticides to kill Sitophilus oryzae L that leaves just Cymbopogon citratus (66% ) and Morinda citrifolia L (60%).The conclusions obtained from this study: First, some kind of  natural insecticide able to kill Sitophilus oryzae L,  second based on the results of the ANOVA analysis of all types of insecticides to kill Sitophilus oryzae L effectively, but if effectiveness was seen by the number of mortality up to 50 % or more, then just Cymbopogon citratus and Morinda citrifolia L.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian dan pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk: (1) menghasilkan modul pembelajaran fisika berbasis metakognisi yang layak digunakan dan mudah untuk dipelajari, dan (2) mengetahui tanggapan siswa  terhadap modul pembelajaran fisika berbasis metakognisi yang telah dihasilkan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan yang menggunakan model pengembangan produk Borg dan Gall yang dipadu dengan model pengembangan pembelajaran Dick dan Carey. Model pengembangan produk disusun secara terprogram dengan urutan yang sistematis dan memenuhi karakteristik siswa dalam belajar meliputi tiga tahapan, yakni studi pendahuluan, perencanaan dan penyusunan modul serta ujicoba modul. Subyek uji coba terdiri dari dua ahli materi pelajaran Fisika, satu ahli desain pembelajaran, dua ahli media pembelajaran, tiga siswa untuk uji perorangan, sembilan siswa untuk uji kelompok kecil, dan tiga puluh empat siswa untuk uji lapangan. Data tentang kualitas produk pengembangan ini dikumpulkan dengan angket. Data-data yang dikumpulkan dianalisis dengan teknik analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan; (1) uji ahli materi pelajaran Fisika  berada pada kriteria sangat baik dan layak digunakan, (2) uji ahli desain pembelajaran berada pada kriteria sangat baik dan layak digunakan, (3) uji ahli media pembelajaran berada pada kriteria sangat baik dan layak digunakan, (4) uji coba perorangan berada pada kriteria sangat baik, uji coba kelompok kecil berada pada kriteria sangat baik, dan uji coba lapangan berada pada kriteria sangat  baik. Kata Kunci: modul pembelajaran fisika berbasis metakognisi Abstract: The research and development is aimed at: (1) produce a physics-based learning modules metacognition proper use and easy to learn, and (2) determine the response of students to the physics-based learning modules metacognition that has been generated. This type of research is the development of research that uses models Borg and Gall product development combined with learning development model of Dick and Carey. Product development model prepared programmatically using a systematic order and meet the characteristics of the students in learning includes three stages, ie preliminary studies, planning and preparation of modules and module testing. The subject of the trial consists of two subject matter experts in Physics, an instructional design specialist, two instructional media experts, three students for individual trials, nine students for small group test, and thirty-four students for field testing. Data about the quality of the products of this development are collected by questionnaire. The data collected were analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis techniques. The results showed; (1) The test of subject matter experts Physics currently on the criteria very well and fit for use, (2) test expert instructional design currently on the criteria very well and fit for use, (3) test expert instructional media that are in very good criteria and fit for use, ( 4) individual testing criteria are very good, small group trial was on the criteria very well, and field trials are in very good criteria.
