Abstract

The purpose of this research is to investigate influence of marine fish hatchery to degradation environmentalquality in Gerokgak District, measurement was done through physical, chemical and microbiologycal analysis.Thesample was taken from 17 stations well water, and 8 stations sea water with 2 stations coming from water discard marinefish hatchery of Gondol Orchard. Data analysis of wells water to campare with water quality standart category I and seawater comparing with the live for animal sea water according to Regulation of The Governor Bali No. 8 Year 2007. Seawater pollutan level was counted through index of diversity and integrated score, to know the resemblance physical andchemical caracteristic among station was analysis by cluster.Result of the research indicates that some parameters of wells water have passed standart water quality namely :Salinity, BOD5, nitrit, phospat, iron , mangan, copper, zink, cobalt, cadmium, dan bacteria coliform feces content. Clusteranalysis wells water if we classify into 3 groups namely first group station 2, 4, 5, 8 until 17, the location of wells 2, 4 and5 near for hatcheries but have resemblance caracteristic with wells far for hatcheries that is station 8-17. Second groupstation 3, 6 and 7 have location near hatcheries and third group station 1 only near hatcheries location. Nearness betweenstation on one group caused resemblace caracteristic, although different wells distance. Parameters sea water have passedstandart water quality namely : nitrat and phospat. Can be found 21 genus plankton from 6 phylum with composition 61%Bacillariophyta, 5% Cyanophyta, 10% Protozoa, 5% Ctenophora, 14% Arthropoda. Index diversity (H’) 0.078 – 1.968 itindicates about medium to high pollution, index uniformities (E) 0,033 – 0,473 its means that uniformities low tomedium, index domination (C) 0,167 – 0,974 it’s meaning have domination partial of plankton a low until high. Integrated score rate have value 4,63 – 6,25 the meaning is water have a medium until heavy of pollution. Cluster analysissea water if it is classified into 3 groups namely first group that is station 1 until 5 that in coastal area with direct watercoming from discard water marine fish hatchery different caracteritic with second group station 6,7 and 8 this area farfrom the beach, next third group B1 and B2 this station water discard from marine fish hatchery.

Abstract

Several types of grouper hybrid seeds can now be massively produced in a hatchery. Hybrid seeds can increase diversification of aquaculture species and potential to increase fish production.  Therefore, an  improvement in hybrid seed production both in high quantity and quality is very important. This research was conducted to produce massively cantik grouper hybrid seeds i.e.,a crossbreed between female tiger grouper (Epinephelus fuscoguttatus) and male marbled grouper (Epinephelus microdon). This research examined the cantik grouper seed production compared with the production of tiger grouper and marbled grouper fingerlings. The research results showed that cantik hybrid grouper seeds production had higher survival rate (24.59%) than tiger grouper (17.44%) and marbled grouper (4.63%). The total length of the seed at the age of 45 days for cantik grouper  was 3.59 ± 0.21 cm, tiger 3.24 ± 0.55 cm, and batik 2.61 ± 0.42 cm, respectively. Seed abnormality for cantik grouper was 4.13%, tiger grouper 30.21%, and marled tiger 0.57%, respectively. Based on genetic variation analyses, the cantik grouper had a closer genetic relationship with the marbled grouper compared with the tiger grouper. Abstract

The grouper hatchery technology  has been successfully developed and grouper seed can be produced massively and sustainly. Egg is one of key successes in the hatchery processes. Eggs taken from hatchery egg producer were often far away from a final hatchery location. This study tried to find out the effectiveness of eggs transportation  duration and densities for eggs’ hatchability of tiger grouper (Epinephelus fuscoguttatus). The first treatment: eggs at a density of 400 000 eggs/8 l sea water,  transported with different duration time i.e., 6,  12, 18, and 24 hours. The second treatment: transportation eggs with duration 24-hour  at different density i.e., 100,000; 200,000;300,00; and 400,000 eggs/8 l sea waters.  Eggs were packaged  in a plastic bag with 8 liters of water media, the plastic size 100 cm x 55 cm, ratio water with oxygen was 1: 3, the  plastic bag inserted to sterofoam with size 75 cm x 40 cm x 30 cm, to reduce the temperature in sterofoam was added ice the size of 500 grams , wrapped in newspaper,  styrofoam  covered by selotipe. The results showed that eggs with transportation time  of 6 and 12 hours were better and significantly different (P <0.05) than  transportation time of 18 and 24 hours. Furthermore, density of 100,000 and 200,000 eggs/8 l sea waters were better and significantly different (P <0.05) than that density of 300,000 and 400,000 eggs/8 l sea waters. Abstract

The location of grouper aquaculture are usually far from the seed source so it takes a long time to transport the seeds. The research purposes was to extend the time by replacing oxygen so the seeds can reach the destination that is located far away with high survival and healthy condition. Previously conducted preliminary research that is transportation with a different length of time 24 hours; 36 hours; 48 hours and 60 hours.  The best results of the preliminary study are 24 hour transport which is then used in the main research.  In the main study, fish seeds were transported for 24 hours later, oxygen was replaced by: oxygen in disposable plastic bags replaced with new oxygen. Then repackaged to continue transport up to 12 hours; 24 hours; 36 hours and 48 hours. Trasportation conducted with closed system with car. Seeds used were cantik grouper hybrid seed i.e., a crossbreed between female tiger grouper (Epinephelus fuscoguttatus) and male marbled grouper (Epinephelus microdon), a size of 7.0 ± 0.54 cm, with a density of 125 fish / boxes. Grouper seeds were packed with 0.8 mm thick plastic bags, 120cm x 53cm wide, filled with 10 liters of sea water, oxygen is added with a volume ratio of water: oxygen is 1: 3, then put in 75 x 40 x 30 cm styrofoam box. The best result is after fish is transported 24 hours, then replaced oxygen and transported again for 24 hours, so that transportation time can be extended up to 48 hours, with survival rate 98.4%.                                                                                                 Keywords: grouper seeds, oxygen replacement, transportation

Abstract

Application technology for grouper seed production was conducted by dissemination activities, aimed for dissemination technology in several places having aquaculture prospects in order to facilitate seed supply. The research was conducted  in 2012 collaborated with the Department of Fisheries and Maritime Affairs Lamongan Regency and Fisheries Academy  of Sidoarjo. Application technology for grouper seed production was conducted in Tunggu village, Paciran district, Lamongan, East Java. Grouper seeds which maintained were tiger, cantik, and cantang. Seed productions were performed from egg to juvenile with size of ±3.0 cm,in which the eggs  were transported from hatchery in Bali and larval rearing was conducted based on the produced technology. The results showed that survival rate of tiger grouper was 8.3%, cantang grouper was 11,6%, and cantik grouper was 12.4%.  The results showed that R/C ratio was >1, in which the business was profitable. The technology can be applied to the community and grouper seed production  can support aquaculture activities. Keywords: Grouper seed, production, technology, R/C ratio, aquaculture

Abstract

AbstrakBeberapa jenis benih hybrid saat ini sudah dapat diproduksi secara masal di hatchery. Benih hybrid selain menambah diversifikasi spesies juga mempunyai prospek budidaya yang berpeluang untuk meningkatkan produksi perikanan ke depan, karena itu perlu adanya pemantapan produksi benih kerapu hybrid agar dapat menghasilkan benih yang mempunyai kuantitas dan kualitas yang baik, dan pada akhirnya diharapkan dapat membantu kebutuhan benih pada perikanan budidaya dan pembenihannya dapat diterapkan di masyarakat sebagai usaha yang menguntungkan. Dalam penelitian ini diproduksi secara masal benih kerapu cantik yaitu hasil persilangan antara betina kerapu macan (Epinephelus fuscoguttatus) dan jantan kerapu batik (Epinehelusmicrodon). Penelitian ini mengkaji hasil produksi benih kerapu cantik dibandingkan dengan produksi benih kerapu macan dan kerapu batik. Hasil penelitian produksi benih kerapu cantik mempunyai kelangsungan hidup yang lebih tinggi yaitu 24,59% dibanding dengan macan yaitu17,44% dan batik yaitu 4,63%. Panjang total benih pada umur 45 hari masing-masing kerapu cantik 3,59 ± 0,21 cm; macan 3,24 ± 0,55 cm dan batik 2,61 ± 0,42 cm. Abnormalitas benih kerapu cantik 4,13%, macan 30,21% dan batik 0,57%. Hasil analisa variasi genetik kerapu cantik mempunyai kekerabatan lebih dekat dengan kerapu macan dibandingkan dengan kerapu batik.Kata kunci: Kerapu Cantik, program hibridisasi, produksi benih

Abstract

The grouper hatchery now has been widely developed, usually purchased eggs from the business that produces hybrid grouper eggs   in accordance with the amount as needed. Eggs grouper that is currently in demand are eggs grouper cantang that is a cross-breed between female tiger grouper (Epinephelus fuscoguttatus) and male giant grouper (Epinephelus lanceolatus) and cantik that is a cross-breed between female tiger grouper and male grouper batik (Epinephelus Microdon). The purpose of this research is to get information about hybrid egg production activities, marketing and economics. The study was conducted in Buleleng regency in January-December 2015, data was taken from five hatchery or business that produces only hybrid grouper egg that is one business (A) in the village of Banyuasri, Buleleng district; Three businesses (B); (C) and (D) in the village of Penyabangan, Gerokgak district and the effort (E) in the village of Banyupoh, Gerokgak district, the data were analyzed descriptively. The results of the five businesses may produce as many eggs as five to eight times a year by the amount that can be marketed  24,200,000 - 44,500,000 eggs. Abstract

ABSTRACT Some researches on grouper seed production have been conducted and their results have been adopted by the farmer. Currently, grouper seeds for mariculture purposes can be provided from hatchery. However, seed abnormality is still the major problem in the hatchery.  Therefore, an improvement for survival rate and quality of grouper seed production is very important. The aim of this study was to improve the production and reduce the abnormalities on grouper seed stock through enrichment of larvae feed (rotifer and artemia) with DHA and EPA, Vitamin and Calcium. The larvae of humpback grouper (Cromileptes altivelis) were reared with and without enrichment. The experiment were held in concrete tank with volume of 10 m3 filled with sea water 7-8 m3. Grouper eggs were stocked at a density of 10 eggs/l, larval were reared until the juvenile age of 45 days.  Treatment were repeated three times. The data was analysed with descriptive statistic. The results showed that humpback grouper larvae reared with enriched rotifers and artemia produced better survival rate (26.81%), lower seed abnormality (26.10%), and better percentage of bigger size of seeds with grade A (20.3 %), B (39.2%), and C (40.5%).  Meanwhile, treatment without feed enrichment produced lower survival rate (17.57%), higher abnormality (40.20%), and lower percentage of big size of seeds with grade A (9.7%), B (26.0%), and C (64.3%).
