Abstract

This research purpose is to describe religious values in Wedhatama by and its relevance to todays life. The method used is descriptive inferential, by describing religious values in Wedhatama which is in form of Pangkur, Sinom, Pucung,andGambuh, and after that, summarizing it. The analysis results in conclusion that Wedhatama by Mangkunagara IV contains high religious values, which is manifested in a belief that human beings depend on God and God is a source of salvation, so human beings should be close to or surrender deeply to God. Religious person is imagined in Wedhatama as prime being, who loves solitude, tawadu, always be humble (he is not angry when someone calls him stupid), has less desire, puts his trust in God and sincere, knows the end, learns the essence of desolation, responses well to his wishes, sensitive, kind hearted, and loves to meditate until he finds some divine revelations, and imitates behaviors like in fiqh. Abstract

This research purpose was to identify and to find elements of nationalism in Indonesian literary works as teaching materials. The research method was descriptive inferential. Indonesian literary works that were identified included literary works of Balai Pustaka, Pujangga Baru, 1945, 1966, and the contemporary. From the results of the study, it could be concluded that the work of Indonesian literature since the Dutch colonial era ranging from Balai Pustaka to the work of literature nowadays (contemporary) contained the values of nationalism. It can be concluded that the values of nationalism in Indonesian literary works emerged since the Dutch colonial era, although they were symbolic. Along with the growing values of nationalism among Indonesian youth, even in the literary works the values appeared more explicit, more daring, and not just symbolic. These results need to be taught to SLA students using active learning. This research recommended the need for easy-to-digest nationalism teaching materials in order to realize the character of nationalism among learners.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan karakter tokoh perempuan Jawa dalam novel Indone- sia berwarna lokal Jawa: kajian perspektif gender dan transformasi budaya. Dua belas novel yang diteliti, yakni Burung-Burung Manyar (BBM) dan Romo Rahadi (RR) karya YB Mangunwijaya, Canting karya Arswendo Atmowiloto, Para Priyayi (PP), Sri Sumarah (SS) dan Bawuk (B) karya Umar Kayam. Ronggeng Dukuh Paruk (RDK), Lintang Kemukus Dini Hari (LKDH), dan Jentera Bianglala (JB) karya Ahmad Tohari, Pada Sebuah Kapal (PSK), Tirai Menurun (TM) karya Nh. Dini, dan Pariyem (P) karya Linus Suryadi AG. Hasil analisis dapat disimpulkan bahwa karakter perempuan Jawa dalam novel yang diteliti mengalami perubahan yang berkaitan dengan transformasi budaya. Mereka bukan konco wingking, melainkan aktif berperan di sektor publik sebagai pencari nafkah keluarga. Mereka juga bukan perempuan biasa yang pasif, melainkan aktif memecahkan masalah kehidupan. Kesetaraan gender dan transformasi budaya terdapat dalam karakter tokoh perempuan Jawa dalam novel Indonesia berwarna lokal Jawa yang diteliti.Abstract:This research is aimed at describing the characters of Javanese women in Indonesian fictions with Javanese local colour related to gender perspective and cultural transformation study. There are twelve novels observed in the research, namely, Burung-Burung Manyar (BBM) and Romo Rahadi (RR) written by YB Mangunwijaya; Canting (C) written by Arswendo Atmowiloto; Priyayi (P), Sri Sumarah (SS), and Bawuk (B) written by  Umar Khayam; Ronggeng Dukuh Paruk (RDP), Lintang Kemukus Dini Hari (LKDH); and Jentera Bianglala (JB) written by Ahmad Tohari, Pada Sebuah Kapal (PSK) and Tirai Menurun ( TM ) written by Nh. Dini, and AG Pariyem (P) written by Linus Suryadi. From the analysis, it can be concluded that cultural transformation has occurred in characters of the Javanese women in Indonesian fiction. Female characters in the fiction, which are analyzed above, have played an important role in various aspects of  life. They are not only Konco Wingking, but they also take an active role in the public sector as economic actors in a family. They are not the passive women, but women who are creative in solving the problems of life. Gender equality has been obtained by the Javanese female characters in fictions which are analyzed.

Abstract

Penelitian Hibah Bersaing DP2M DIKTI ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan model pengajaran sastra Indonesia berbasis karakter. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah R&D model Gall & Borg dengan 4 langkah, yakni (1) studi pendahuluan, (2) tahap pengembangan, (3) tahap pengujian model, dan (4) desiminasi hasil. Produk akhir penelitian ini berupa model pembelajaran sastra Indonesia berbasis karakter beserta buku teksnya. Permasalahan yang akan dipecahkan dalam penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut: (1) Karakter apa saja yang sudah dan belum dimiliki oleh siswa dan guru SMA, SMK, dan MA di Klaten? (2) Bagaimana pembelajaran sastra Indonesia berbasis karakter di SMA, SMK, dan MA di Klaten? (3) Perlukah pengembangan model pembelajaran sastra Indonesia berbasis karakter di SMA, SMK, dan MA di Klaten? Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa (1) dari 18 karakter yang harus dibelajarkan di tingkat SLTA, baru 14 karakter yang terinternalisasi dalam diri siswa dan guru di Klaten; (2) pembelajaran karakter dalam sastra hanya ditempelkan saja; (3) perlu model pembelajaran sastra Indonesia berbasis karakter yang aplikatif.Abstract: The research of DP2M  DIKTI  aims to develop the teaching- learning model of Indonesian literature based on character education. The method of this research is R & D with four steps, namely, (1) preliminary study phase/introductory study, (2) development phase,  (3) trial phase, and  (4)  dissemination of the model. The product of this research is a learning   model of Indonesian literature   based on the character as well as the textbook. The research questions of the study are as follows: (1) what kinds  of the character  have or have not yet been owned by students and teachers  of SMA, SMK, MA in Klaten; (2) how the teaching Indonesian literature based on the character  is; (3) whether development of teaching Indonesian literature based on the character needs doing in SMA, SMK, and MA in Klaten. The results of the research show that (1) of the 18 characters taught  in  the high school level, only 14 characters are internalized within the students and teachers in Klaten; (2) teaching the character in literature subject  is only written; (3) it needs learning model of Indonesian literature based  on applicable  character.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menghitung besarnya pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL), motivasi belajar siswa, dan interaksi antara penggunaan model pembelajaran PBL dan motivasi belajar siswa terhadap prestasi hasil belajar siswa menulis eksplanasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen jenis quasi. Variabel bebasnya model pembelajaran PBL dan motivasi belajar siswa, sedangkan variabel terikatnya hasil prestasi belajar siswa menulis eksplanasi. Data dikumpulkan dengan kuesioner dan tes. Teknik analisis data dengan uji hipotesis analisis variansi dua jalan dengan sel tak sama. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa model Problem Based Learning lebih efektif daripada metode ceramah; motivasi belajar siswa tinggi, dan tidak ada interaksi antara penerapan model pembelajaran PBL dan motivasi belajar siswa terhadap hasil prestasi belajar siswa menulis eksplanasi.Kata kunci: Problem Based Learning, motivasi belajar, menulis eksplanasi

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan status dan peran perempuan Jawa dalam teks sastra Indonesia dari masa penjajahan, masa kemerdekaan, masa sekarang dan perempuan Jawa dalam dunia nyata. Permasalahan yang akan dijawab adalah, bagaimana status dan peran perempuan Jawa dalam teks sastra dan dalam dunia nyata?. Adakah perubahan yang signifikan dari masa ke masa?. Adakah perbedaan antara status dan peran perempuan Jawa dalam teks sastra dan dalam dunia nyata?. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dan survai. Deskriptif untuk perempuan Jawa dalam teks sastra. Survai untuk perempuan Jawa di dunia nyata. Teknik yang digunakan adalah teknik pustaka dan angket. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa status dan peran perempuan Jawa dalam teks sastra dan dalam dunia nyata mengalami perubahan dari masa ke masa. Perubahan tersebut meliputi pola pikir dan pola hidup. Dalam teks sastra ada tokoh bu Bei dalam Canting yang buta huruf dan bekerja di rumah, dan tokoh Dr. Larasati yang menamatkan S3 dan bekerja sebagai kepala kantor pemerintah. Keduanya memiliki status yang sama, yakni sebagai isteri, tetapi mempunyai peran yang tidak sama. Penelitian juga menyimpulkan tidak ada perbedaan antara status dan peran perempuan Jawa dalam teks sastra dan dalam dunia nyata karena sastra merupakan cermin masyarakat yang melingkupinya. This research aims to describe the status and roles of Javanese women in Indonesian literary texts from the colonial era, independence era, today’s era, and Javanese women in reality. The problems that need to be answered are the status and roles of Javanese women in Indonesian literary texts and in the reality, the significant change from an era to the others, and the differences between the status and roles of Javanese women in Indonesian literary texts and in the reality. The methods used in this research are descriptive method and survey. The descriptive method is for the Javanese women in literary texts, while the survey is for the Javanese women in the reality. The techniques used are bibliography technic and questionnaire. From the research result, it can be concluded that the status and roles of Javanese women in Indonesian literary texts and in the reality change from era to era. The changes consist of mindset and lifestyle. In literary text, there is Bu Bei from Canting who is an illiterate housewife and Dr. Larasati who has doctorate degree who works as the head of a government office. Both have the same status, which is as a wife, but they have different roles. This research’s conclusion is that there is no difference between the status and roles of Javanese women in Indonesian literary texts and in the reality because the literary texts are the reflection of the society

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze literature learning material Class X SMA-MA-SMK in Curriculum Bahasa Indonesia 2016. The method is descriptive by referring to the stylistics study. The problem is how is the linguistic description of literature learning material above?. The findings can be concluded that the poet uses the single and complex sentences. It also uses the rhetorical sentence, parallelism, repetition, metaphor, and climax in poems. The chosen vocabulary by the author is the common vocabulary which they use in our daily life, however it has special meaning when it is arranged in the form of poetry. The imagination in their poems is very strong. It can be seen through visual, auditory, and tactile.  Keywords: stylistics study, linguistics aspect, literature material, curriculum 2016

Abstract

Sebagai bangsa yang multikultur, Indonesia mempunyai potensi perpecahan dan konflik etnik yang cukup besar jika tidak dikelola dengan baik. Tulisan ini mendeskripsikan nilai-nilai multikultural dalam sastra Indonesia sebagai bahan pembelajaran apresiasi sastra di SMA, yang dapat menjadi pemantik bagi terbentuknya karakter multikultur. Lewat apresiasi sastra diyakini penanaman karakter tepat sasaran (efektif) karena sastra bersentuhan dengan nilai-nilai kemanusiaan. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan teknik simak catat. Data diambil dari empat karya sastra Indonesia, yakni satu cerpen terpilih dan tiga novel. Data dianalisis dengan pendekatan struktural-semiotik. Dari hasil analisis dapat disimpulkan bahwa cerpen “Seribu Kunang-kunang di Manhattan”, karya Umar Kayam, novel “Salah Asuhan” karya Abdul Moeis, dan novel “Namaku Hiroko” karya Nh Dini, mengandung nilai-nilai kesederajatan (egalitarian), keberagaman, dan karakter multikulturalis yang baik pada tokoh utamanya, layak dijadikan bahan ajar apresiasi sastra di tingkat SMA.Kata kunci: multikultural, bahan ajar, apresiasi sastra
