Abstract

This articel purpose of to describe peer tutors method in learning local dance on the extracurricular at SMA Negeri 1 Lubuk Alung. Therefore, the researcher uses the method of descriptive qualitative research to describe this research. The data of this research is the development of student activity when the extracurricular project goes on. The source of this research is the direct observation that the researcher does herself. The data was collected by using observational student activity format and the documentation of students’ learning activity. The finding of this research is that the students understand the explanation that come from their peers rather than the explanation given by the teacher. Therefore, peer tutor is more effectively done in the learning processor traditional dance in SMA Negeri 1 Lubuk Alung. Abstract

This article aims to reveal and describe Inheritance Gandang Dance in Nagari Pauh District IX Kuranji Padang. This research is descriptive qualitative research method. Object of this study is on the Gandang Dance Pauh IX Kecamatan Kuranji Nagari Padang. Datas were collected through literature study, observation, interview and documentation. Data analysis was performed based on the ethnographic techniques. The findings of the research states that dance is a traditional dance Gandang in District IX Kuranji Pauh Nagari Padang, grow and flourish in the martial arts that exist in Nagari Pauh IX, precisely in the Katapiang area. In the development of dance Gandang had improvement in inheritance aspects. At the beginning of the growth of dance in Nagari Pauh Gandang IX, closed systems are more likely inheritance, through ties of blood and kinship. While the present when entering the 1975’s, has grown inheritance system tend to be closed that system through blood ties and kinship to open systems by learning from teacher to student in traditional self defence arts goals.

Abstract

This article aims to describe the benefits of body movement toward a dance technique Autism arable Vivi Sumanti, a students of art department FBS UNP. This research is descriptive qualitative research method. Object of study is the work of dance Autism, data were collected through observation, library research and interviews. Data were analyzed through ethnographic analysis. The results were found, at the time of the initial drill choreographed to provide training if the body only of a general nature, such as strength, flexibility, endurance, and balance. However, the reality is if the body is generally not useful to the dance techniques desired by the choreographer. Because dance choreographer creates more movement traditional techniques that worked with modern dance, a blend of technique Jazz, Ballet, Headstand, and kayang. The body should be beneficial when the body work is done in accordance with the technique of dance choreographer wants. In the end, the body benefits obtained for Autism dancers just for strength and flexibility.

Abstract

This article aims to describe a case study in the implementation of cultural arts curriculum of KTSP in MAN 2 Koto Baru Solok. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive method. Object of research is the study of dance in MAN 2 Koto Baru, data were collected through interviews, literature study and direct observation. Data analysis was performed with phenomenology analysis and relationship between components. The results showed, the cases that occurred in KTSP curriculum implementation. Which one KTSP curriculum is not implemented fully in MAN 2 Koto Baru, so some elements like dance practice can not function . This is influenced by the school´s policy that based on Islam. This means that the KTSP curriculum be implemented incomplete. On the other hand, MAN 2 Koto Baru which is a school of DEPAG supervision, and neither has the cultural arts curriculum. Therefore, the cultural arts curriculum implementation of KTSP into a case in MAN 2 Koto Baru.

Abstract

Abstract: This article discusses about application of approaches and method in dance learning regarded to be relevance with the situation and condition in the SMPN 5 Solok. This article is going to answer many problems existing in the school faced by the dance teachers of West Sumatera. The problem is that the teachers are often not able to catch the appropriate method in the application of dance learning as well as to measure the students’ creativity correctly. This case is caused by the in appropriate approach and method of learning used by the teachers and less of facilities available. Related to that problem, the dance teachers of SMPN 5 Solok city try to answer it through applying approach and method that they consider to be relevance to the condition and situation of the school. The teachers use persuasive, cooperative, and motivated approach to analyze the problem. The learning method used in this study is the combination, of exploration and appreciation method, and then this approach is finally done effectively and efficiently in the school. Abstract

Abstract   This article exposes and describes the existance of Asik Niti Mahligai dance in Siulak Mukai village, sub-regency Siulak, Kerinci Regency. It is a qualitative research by using descriptive method. Data were collected through interview, observation, and library study. Data were analyzed by using ethnography and phenomenology approach. This research finding showed that during 2001-2012, Asik Niti Naik Mahligai dance did not get enough supports from the government and the society, in term of using, maintaining, and conserving this dance. Besides, the conservation of Asik Niti Naik Mahligai dance was disturbed by lack of interest of the young generation especially girl. As the effect, the existence of Asik Niti Naik Mahligai dance is endangered to be vanished.

Abstract

Abstract This article aims to reveal and explain the impact of exploration methods for learning local dance elapsed areas in SMP Negeri 1 Banuhampu. This research is a qualitative descriptive method. Data obtained by direct observation and interviews. Data were analyzed based on the phenomena that occur in learning, to interpret the relationship between the phenomena occurring in the learning. The results showed, exploratory methods in teaching dance at SMP Negeri 1 Banuhampu resulted in increased imagination and creative power and ability of the students in the birth of new motifs from local dance movement. Another impact is that students feel they have freedom of expression, and is able to explore the body with improvisation, so that ideas can create new movement patterns are used for local dance lessons.

Abstract

Abstract This article aims to explain and reveal how to raise students´ motivation in learning notation in MTsN Tarusan. During this time the teacher is plagued with low student motivation, thereby disrupting the smooth teaching and learning. The research was conducted by qualitative research with descriptive methods. Data obtained by interviews, direct observation, library research, and documentation. The research instrument is the researcher himself as a key instrument. Data were analyzed with phenomenological techniques. Results of previous studies suggest that students lack motivation in learning notation, it is caused by lack of proper teaching methods by teachers in the art of music MTsN. After the change in the method by teachers in teaching the art of music notation, reveal positive results in improving student learning motovasi notation. Means cooperative method is able to change the level of student motivation towards learning in MTsN Tarusan notation. Through cooperative pembelajran methods students have the motivation to read notation, because the element of cooperation pembnelajaran important role in practice, so that students are able to help a fellow co weaknesses of the students themselves. Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this research was to describe some causes of why the students of VIII.2 at SMPN 3 Padang Panjang were not involved actively in the classroom activities. The data were in the form of observations on the music learning and interviews with the teacher and students of VIII.2. The data were collected through a literature study, observations, interviews, and documentations. The result of this research has proven that the main cause of why the students of VIII.2 at SMPN 3 Padang Panjang were not involved actively in the classroom activities was the teacher. The teacher could not create a good learning process in which students could participate actively. Abstract This article aimed at describing the production management of Pink Music Group and explaining its music shows marketing system. The object of this research was the Pink Music Group. The data were obtained from observation, literature review, interview, and documentation. The data were analyzed by using the phenomenology analysis technique.
