Abstract

The increase in income has triggered the growth of restaurants, including a steak restaurant in Bandar Lampung. This makes the competition among restaurants become harder. The purpose of this research is to identify the attributes of customer satisfactions and services in two steak restaurants in Bandar Lampung.  Data were collected from 60 respondents to evaluate the satisfaction attributes and restaurant services, using  questionnaires, the validity and the reliability of which have been tested. The results showed that there were 24 attributes for steak restaurants. The attributes of customer satisfactions and services including taste,  menu diversity, nutrition, menu display, menu suitability, texture, menu consistency, neatness of employees, speed of service, informative waitress, hospitality, service fairness, the accuracy of written orders, payment convenience, cleanliness of the restaurant, the willingness to answer questions, responsiveness of employees, completeness cutlery, location, parking, air conditioning, toilet, variety of seating and decoration.  The attributes that make consumers feel most satisfied included taste, texture, and location. Key words:  attributes, consumers’ satisfactions, services, validity and reliability test

Abstract

This research aims to find out the forward linkage and backward linkage of agroindustry sector on economyin Lampung Province. This research used data from the industries of oil/fat, sugar, rubber and plastic, andcoffee. The analysis method used in this research was Input-Output Analysis. The results showed that theforward linkage index of oil/fat industry, sugar industry, rubber and plastic goods industry, and coffeeindustry were 0.91; 1.15; 0.88; and 0.80. The average of the four values was 0.94. The backward linkageindex of oil/fat industry, sugar industry, rubber and plastic goods industry, and coffee industry were 0.72;0.91; 0.86; and 0.75 , with the average value was 0.81. The forward linkage index and backward linkageindex of agroindustry sector were less than 1. It meant that agroindustry sector had low linkage with othersectors on economy in Lampung Province.

Abstract

Poultry egg is one of the important animal protein resource.  Consequently, their availability in a society has to be predicted for several years.  In Lampung Province, the local government  forecasts the poultry egg production just for one year.  It causes the production of poultry egg, as well as their availability, is unknown for long term. Therefore, the aim of this study is to project  the production and to project the consumption of the poultry egg.  Both projections are compared in order to know its sufficiency. The prediction was done by the ordinary least square method with the time series data 2000-2013.   The result showed that the average product (AP) was 16.75 kgs/head/year. However, during the epidemic of the avian infulenza (2003-2007), the AP had been decreasing,  i.e. 15.99 kgs/head/year. The poultry egg production in 2013 was 51.39 thousand tons and the average growth rate was 3.64% per year.  Meanwhile, the poultry  egg consumption of Lampung Province  in 2013 was 51.33 thousand tons and the average growth rate was 2.48% per year.  Since the growth rate of production is higher than the growth rate of consumption, the production will be larger than the consumption starting in 2026. Abstract

Since the beginning of 2000’s, the modern markets, supermarkets and minimarkets, have been growing rapidly in Bandar Lampung.  They have been being the competitors for the traditional markets that sell agricultural commodities, such as egg.  The question is whether they are profitable and whether the egg retailers in the traditional markets can compete with the modern markets in Bandar Lampung.  This study tries to answer these questions by using the financial and the SWOT analyses.  All 44 egg retailers in the traditional markets, Bandar Lampung are the respondents in this study.  Based on the financial analysis the rate of return of the egg retail business is 8.74% per month.  The result of SWOT analysis showed that the egg retail trade businesses in traditional market at quadrant I.  This case showed that egg retail trade in traditional market were profitable and located on the growing areas. The top strategy utilized the long enough experience trading to build relationships with suppliers and that supply of fulfilled will continue available. Abstract

 The attributes used in the previous studies of the restaurant consumer satisfaction were very varied.  Therefore, this study aims to identify the attributes of the consumer satisfaction and service forthe processed chicken restaurants in Bandar Lampung.  The data was collected in September-October 2015.  The technique used for sampling was accidental sampling in which  data from 60 respondents were the scores for the attributes of satisfaction and service. Moreover, the data were tested by using the validity and reliability tests. The next step is gathering the data of attributes from 60 respondents of two processed chicken restaurants. The analysis methods used were descriptive analysis, validity and reliability test and Importance Performance Analysis (IPA). The research showed that the attributes identified were taste, price, menu diversity, nutrition, suitability menu, consistency of service time, comfort, service speed,hospitality,responsiveness of suggestion, fairness of service,accuracy of writing order, ease of payment, cleanliness of restaurant, waitress’ understanding of the products, cashier thoroughness, completeness of cutlery, location, parking area, security of parking, air conditioning, wastafel, toilet, mosque and entertainment.  The attributes of customer satisfaction and service restaurants that have been identified can be applied processed chicken in the city of Bandar Lampung, but the accuracy attribute accuracy of writing order, park security of parking, wastafel, mosque, and parking area needs to be improved by the restaurant.Key words: attributes, consumer satisfaction,validity and reliabilty test, serviceThe attributes used in the previous studies of the restaurant consumer satisfaction were very varied.  Therefore, this study aims to identify the attributes of the consumer satisfaction and service forthe processed chicken restaurants in Bandar Lampung.  The data was collected in September-October 2015.  The technique used for sampling was accidental sampling in which  data from 60 respondents were the scores for the attributes of satisfaction and service. Abstract

The economic growth in the Central Lampung district has been increasing the demand of financial service. It has been affecting the growth of banks. Furthermore among banks has been competing to obtain and retain their customers. To do so, a bank has to fulfill the expectation of its customers. The main objective of this research is to investigate the performance of bank in fulfilling the expectation of its customers. Two banks in Bandar Jaya of Central Lampung district were choosen. From each bank, 30 respondents were interviewed by using questioners. Data were analyzed using the Importance Performance Analysis (IPA). The results showed that Bank A dan Bank B were under performed based on customers expectation in this two atributes, i.e. the speed of giving service and the response to new customers. Abstract

Population and economic growth in Bandar Lampung has been increasing the demand of restaurants. Consequently, competition among restaurants in Bandar Lampung has been increasing in order to get their customers. The main goal of this research is to find out the difference between the customers’ expectation and the restaurant’s performance. Data were obtained form questioning respondents from two restaurants in the business area of Way Halim Permai, Bandar Lampung. Data were analyzed using the Importance Performance Analysis (IPA). It is revealed that both Restaurant A and Restaurant B were under performed in two atributes, i.e. restaurant comfort and hospitality. Abstract

Soybean is one of vegetable protein sources. It is so important that the government targets self-sufficiency on this commodity.  Its target is 3.00 million tons in 2019, i.e. more than three times of the production in 2015. A production target is better stochastically forecasted that its result is an interval at a certain probability level.  There were some studies that forecasted productions of soybean.  However, their results were not as the intervals. Therefore, the objective of this research is for stochastically forecasting the soybean production.  Its data are time series data obtained from the FAO and the Indonesian Statistics Central Bureau. Data were analyzed by using econometrics.  The result of forecasting is the soybean production will be 0.99 million tons in 2019 with the 95% confidence interval between 0.94 and 1.05 million tons.Key words: Soybean, production, forecast

Abstract

Corn is a strategic commodity in the Indonesian economy because corn is for either food or feed. As an important agricultural commodity, the corn production is highly targeted by the Indonesian government, i.e. 24.70 million tons in 2019 or 125% of the 2015 corn production. This target is better stochastically forecasted that its result is an interval in a certain probability level. Therefore, the goal of this research is to stochastically forecast the corn production. The data are time series and obtained from the FAO and the Indonesian Central Bureau Statistics. The data is analyzed by econometrics. The result showed that the corn production would be 18.93 million tons in 2019 with its 95% confidence interval between 17.09 million tons and 20.76 million tons.Key words: corn, forecast, production, stochastic
