Abstract

Kerang hijau merupakan salah satu komoditas perikanan laut yang digemari oleh masyarakat. Di Lampung budidaya kerang hijau baru dirintis beberapa tahun terakhir. Budidaya ini terdapat di sekitar Teluk Lampung seperti perairan Ringgung (Pesawaran) dan Pulau Pasaran (Bandar Lampung). Analisis kesesuaian lahan di perairan Pulau Pasaran untuk budidaya kerang hijau (Perna viridis) dapat diamati dengan menganalisis faktor fisika, kimia dan biologi air menggunakan metode rating point. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kesesuaian perairan Pulau Pasaran untuk budidaya kerang hijau. Pengamatan dilakukan dengan membandingkan parameter pendukung di 5 stasiun di sekitar perairan Pulau Pasaran. Hasil pengukuran menunjukan salinitas, pH, temperatur, DO dan substrat perairan Pulau Pasaran baik untuk budidaya, sedangkan parameter kekeruhan, kecepatan arus, kedalaman dan klorofil-a kurang mendukung untuk budidaya kerang hijau. Secara keseluruhan rating point kesesuaian lahan perairan Pulau Pasaran. sebesar 6,72 yang menunjukkan bahwa perairan Pulau Pasaran memiliki tingkat kesesuaian cukup baik untuk budidaya kerang hijau. Lokasi terbaik untuk budidaya kerang hijau pada stasiun 2 dengan rating point 7,1.KATA KUNCI: Kerang hijau, kesesuaian lahan, Lampung, rating point.

Abstract

Nannochloropsis sp., an unicellular marine microalgae, has potential function as a food source for fish larvae and in chemical industry. Microenvironmental conditions, especially nitrogen and salinity stress in marine ecosystems, became major factor affecting the growth of Nannochloropsis sp.The aim of the experiment was to study effect of different salinities and nitrogen dosages to the growth and lipid contents of Nannochloropsis sp. cells.The experiment was arranged in factorial with three replicates. The first factor was salinity (28 ppt and 38 ppt), and the second factor was nitrogen dosage (100% and 50%). Results of the experiments indicated that nitrogen starvation and high saline concentration affected cell density of Nannochloropsis sp. in different level. The results showed that combination treatments of nitrogen starvation and salinity reduced cell density (treatmant A, B, and D), except in treatment C. Combination of high salinity and high N dosages resulted ini steady growth of Nannochloropsis sp. These results suggest that Nannochloropsis sp. are able to overcome salinity stress (38 ppt) in the presence of optimum concentration of nitrogen in the growth cultures.The results also shows that there were no significant differences of crude lipid content between treatments and no correlation between population density and crude lipid content. These results suggest that no simple correlation between population density and crude lipid concentration. On the other hand, population density was not the only factor affected crude lipid concentration in the microalgae cell.Keyword: Nannochloropsis, population, crude lipid

Abstract

Dunaliella is a green microalgae that produces carotenoids, one of the carotenoid typesproduced is β-carotene which accumulated in very high amounts in some stressfulconditions such as nitrogen limitations, high salinity and exposure high light intensity.Leucaena leucocephala is one of the natural ingredients that  potential as a source ofnutrition of Dunaliella sp. growth. The aim of this study was to determine the effect ofdifferent salinity in Lamtoro Leaves Extract Media on growth and carotenoid contentDunaliella sp. The research was conducted in Aquaculture Laboratory, AgricultureFaculty, Lampung University. The design of research was used completely randomizeddesign with 4 treatments and 3 repetitions. The treatments used was Lamtoro Leaves extract media with salinity  30 ppt, 35 ppt, 40 ppt, and 45 ppt. The result showed thatmedia of Lamtoro Leaves extract with different salinity gave significant effect on celldensity and carotenoid content of Dunaliella sp. (p<0,05). The results of this studyshowed that the best cell growth occurred in the treatment of salinity 30 ppt with celldensity reached 5,09×106cells/ml, while the highest carotenoid content was produced at35 ppt salinity treatment of 1,0668 g/ml

Abstract

The aims of this research was to determine the immunogenicity of inactivated vaccine A. salmonicida whole cell in common carp and the best mothod in vaccine administration. Vaccine was produced by inactivated A. salmonicida with adding 1 ppm (v/v) formaldehide and incubated for 24h in room temperature. Ten juvenil of carp (Vaccine was administrated in each 10 fish by injection intraperitoneally (107 cfu/fish), orally (107 cfu/fish), immersion (107 cfu/ml for 30 minute) and control (fish with no vaccination). Booster was conducted 7 days after first vaccination with same dossage and method. Titer antibody was evaluated in three times i.e. before vaccination, 7th days after first vaccination, and 7th days after booster. Water quality such as dissolved oxygen, pH, and water temperature was measured as a supported parameters. Results showed that titer antibodi for all treatment before vaccination was 1/6. However, titer antibody after vaccination and booster increased to 1/58.67 and 1/85.33 for i.p injection, 1/42.67 and 1/64 for oral, 1/24 and 42.67 for immerse, respectively. Whereas, there was no significantly increasing of titer antibody in control that was 1/9.33 and 1/18.67 for vaccination and bosster, respectively. Vaccine adminsitration method by injection i.p. was the best method for obtain the best immunogenicity of vaccine. Water quality parameters along this experiment still in optimum range for common carp living.

Abstract

Penerapan biosekuritas pada budidaya udang vaname (Litopenaeus vannamei) dan hubungannya secara deskriptif dengan infeksi penyakit virus dan parasit dan performa budidaya  dipelajari untuk keberlanjutan budidaya udang di Kabupaten Pesawaran. Penelitian dilakukan dengan kuisioner standar biosekuritas, diagnosis penyakit virus, identifikasi jenis parasit dan performa budidaya udang. Penelitian menggunakan empat desa yang merupakan sentra budidaya udang di Kabupaten Pesawaran antara lain Hanura, Sidodadi, Gebang, Seribu dengan mengambil 16 petak tambak sebagai sampel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat modifikasi penyediaan sarana, prasarana dan aplikasi biosekuritas pada empat desa dibandingkan biosekuritas standar. Modifikasi biosekuritas yang buruk di Desa Hanura menyebabkan infeksi penyakit virus dan budidaya udang tidak berlanjut. Modifikasi biosekuritas di Desa Sidodadi, Gebang dan Seribu yang berbeda mempengaruhi performa budidaya udang. Penerapan standar biosekuritas yang konsisten sesuai aturan lokal, nasional dan internasional diperlukan agar keberlanjutan industri udang vaname di Kabupaten Pesawaran dapat dipertahankan.

Abstract

Catfish has good prospect local market and has opportunity to go international market or export because the quality meat, has good size, and saturated quality condition for export. The big problem in intensive amplification catfish such as competition fir retain movement place because restrictveness basic fish pond.The basic application synthetic and affixture probiotic during amplification to intensive scale as basic alterbative increase production. The purpose in this research to know about the effective basic pond synthetic and addition probiotic to amplification masamo catfish towards biomassa, growth, giving woof and directness life. In thitis research has 3 treatment such as TDB treatment: amplification masamo catfish without use basic pond synthetic, after that in this treatment have name as control treatment. PBK treatment: amplification masamo catfish with addition probiotic in woof and water pond. PDB treatment:  commodity.use basic 2 application synthetic pond. The result in this research is different with weight fish and directness with highest score is 1,387gr/day and 96,58% where as growth biomassa and in the conversion woof is nothing different. The basic utilization technology synthetic affixture probiotic capable to increase biomassa 10%. In this problem will have the impact in production and resulted income. The using of woof in amplification masamo catfish is more efficient with the application fish pond synthetic and probiotic. It can been seen from the result woof convertion is gotten. The growth weight and the length of catfish increases with the application fish pond synthetic and probiotic.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kandungan formalin pada ikan asin yang beredar di provinsi Lampung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei dengan teknik purposive sampling. Identifikasi formalin dilakukan secara kualitatif dengan menggunakan teskit formalin antilin® yang dilanjutkan dengan analisis kuantitatif menggunakan spektrofotometer. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa produk ikan asin yang terdapat di Lampung sangat beragam baik ditinjau jenis ikan, karakteristik maupun bentuk olahan. Ikan asin yang mengandung formalin sebanyak 25,92% dari sampel yang diteliti dengan kadar formalin berada pada level yang membahayakan, terutama sampel ikan layur dari Lampung Timur, ikan sebelah dari Bandar Lampung dan ikan nila dari Lampung Selatan.

Abstract

Dunaliella sp. is a green microalga commonly used as a live feed in the hatchery, especially in marine aquaculture. This microalga is capable of producing carotenoids and accumulate a significant amount of β-carotene under stressful conditions, for example, high light intensity during the culture process. The objective of this study was to determine the effect of light intensity on the growth of Dunaliella sp. culture and it carotenoid content. The Dunaliella sp was cultivated for eight days at the Aquaculture Laboratory, Department of Fisheries and Marine Science, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Lampung. The study used a completely randomized design with three different light intensity as treatment, i.e., (A) 2500 lux, (B) 3500 lux, and (C) 4500 lux. All treatments were given three replicates, and the position of culture bottles was randomized with the assumption that all sample units received the equal amount of light intensity. The results showed the Dunaliella sp culture illuminated with light intensity higher than 2500 lux have higher carotenoid content.

Abstract

Suhu berpengaruh signifikan terhadap daya tetas dan larva ikan. Suhu tinggi dapat mengganggu aktivitas enzim, suhu rendah dapat mempengaruhi metabolisme telur  dan menghambat proses penetasan pada telur dan perkembangan larva.  .Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh suhu  terhadap hasil daya tetas, perkembangan embrio dan lama waktu penetasan telur. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan empat perlakuan(25 ℃, 26℃, 27 ℃ dan 28 ℃) dan tiga kali ulangan. Parameter yang diamati meliputi perkembangan embrio telur, daya tetas telur, dan lama waktu penetasan telur. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan analisis sidik rgam dilanjutkan dengan uji lanjut BNT (Beda Nytaa Terkecil). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa suhu berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap  daya tetas telur, dan lama waktu penetasan telur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa daya tetas tertinggi dengan nilai 93% pada suhu 26℃ , kelangsungan dan lama waktu penetasan telur tercepat dengan nilai 12,93 jam pada suhu 26℃.
